Limit Account Assign to a Specific Doc Type
Hi, is it possible to limit a specific account assignment to a specific doc type?
For instance, account assign P can only ba used by PO/PR doctype A.

There is no setting in standard SAP. You have to use userxit for the same.

Assign number range to Doc type
Hi
I have created a new doc type - i am not sure for which co code business has to assign it... how can i create a new number rnage without co code specification... I know i can assign new no range thru OBA7, but let me know where to create it without co code specification

If I understand you correctly, you want to create one number range for a document type that can be used by all company codes. Eg Doc Type ZA created. Number range assigned is 10000 to 20000. You want all company codes (1000, 2000, 9000 - 3 company codes in your system )to use the same number range.
Here is my question
1. When a document is created (irrespective of companycode), system should pick the next document number. Eg co.code 1000 creates document number 10351, then if a document is created in co code 2000, system should pick 10352 as document number. Am I correct?
These type of continous numbering is not possible for FI postings, but they are possible for Material documents, CO documents.
I am thinking of a different way to get this. Create all these document number range in each company code and make them as externally assigned. Then while saving a document, based on some abap coding that you write, pick the last number used in all company codes and populate the next document number to save.
Hope this is what you want.

PO creation: PR or item cat. not assigned to PO of doc type NB
When creating a PO from a PR, client is getting the following error, please help.
The Error is :--
Doc. type/item cat. FO/ (requisition) <-> NB/ (purch. order)
Message no. 06054
Diagnosis
Purchase requisitions of document_type FO or item category may not be
assigned to purchase orders of document type NB or item category .
Procedure
Check your input.
If the problem cannot be resolved in this way, contact your system
administrator.
The latter can make the necessary settings using the Implementation
Guide (IMG)
Please let me know what configuration is incorrect or missing.

Looking at the error i would suggest to check your IMG settings for the PO document type linkage to PR and allowed Itm Category. IMG > MM> Purchase Order > Document type. In this select the Document type FO and check Item category allowed and Linkage to PR. FO type PO should have been assigned to FO type PR with relevant Itm cat. If not exists assign it.

Yes it is possible. But u have to define ur own Field selection for the PO document type and u have to assign it in the document type NB. Go to SPRO>IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Define Screen Layout at Document Level -
Account assignment grp as per material type
Hello,
Is anyone of you aware of the settings where I can bring the default material account assignment group as per the Material type in material master.
I think it is not possible by configuration so kindly provide the user exits if any.

Have you thought of using Transaction variant through transaction code SHD0,
which is your materrial type is it SAP standard?
you create a transaction variant with your value of acc *** group and you can make it as default.
you can also use for e.g MMR1 for raw material , MMH1 for tranding and so on and change this , but this will only be in case of sap standard material type.

For Service PO, you can set default material group in item level in ML91.
For material ( stock or no-stock)PO, The material group will be from material master.

MM-Restrict particular Mat type for specific Doc type
How to restrict particular material type in particular Purcharasing document type...
Go to OMS2 and Select Material type and in Internal / External Purchase Orders and in External Purchase Order tab Set the Value 0 No External Purchase Orders allowed and Save.
I dont know how far we can Control this for a Particular Document type.
Coz if you Set this this will be applicable to all Purchaisng Documents -

I have created PO doc type as ZCAP (for Capital items).whenever we select this doc type we have to select account assignment "A" in Acc.*** Category field in PO line item.As it is manual entry, user (by mistake) is giving "K" instead of "A".
My question how can i make "A" as default to doc type ZCAP.so that whenever we select ZCAP, automatically acc.assign "A" should come and all other account assignment categories should be deleted.

There is no standard configuration to control the account assignment with Purchase order document type. Purchase order document type is an header level control where as the account assignment is Item level comtrol.
You need to use Badi to control the account assignemnt category at PO line item level with reference to the PO document type.

When I create a PR for a material for one specific plant, SAP asks an account assigment (wich is anormal). For all other plants, no account assigment is asked (which is normal)!
Someone has an idea to solve this problem ? Where is the link between Account assignment and Plant / Material ?

Normally we procure material for two things
Procure to Stock
Procure to Consumption
If the procurement is Procure to Stock the Material is needed. Here you may use or may not use account assignments.
If the procurement is Procure to Consumption Account Assignments become Mandatory since you are not keeping the stock.
Account assignment is linked with Material type. While creating Material type in OMS2 in the Quantity / Value Updation If you check In all Valuation areas then System will not ask for account assignment for a purchase requisition with a material.
Where as if it is Checked in In No valuation areas then System will ask acct assgnment.

SE 518 No account assignment exists for service li ne 0000000000 error
Hello all,
We have raised a Shopping cart for a service with reference to a contract with the account assignments item category "D" and account assignment category "P". the product type is 02 for the service. The shopping cart saves fine however when trying to transfer to create the PO in the backend we are getting the error "SE 518 No account assignment exists for service li ne 0000000000"
we have checked all the notes below:
1064139 already implemented.
1222877 already implemented.
767284 failed to correct the error.
1140132 should be in our system but has been removed by note 1226132. I have checked all the other notes but they do not seem relevant in our scenario. Does anybody have any idea as to how we should solve this problem?

Asset PO should not be raised in NB Doc type

I need to do the settings in such way that user should not use A - Asset as account category while rasing PO by using NB document type. How can I control this?

Standard SAP does not provide functionality to set Account assignment category for the Document Types.
However, you can restrict the entry of Account assignment category wrt Item category.
you have to create a new item categories which will have same setting as the existing ones. then Assign the new item categories to the Document type NB.
Now, go to SPRO/MM/Purchasing/ Define external representation of item categories, then choose 'Not allowed' under Addit Acct Assignment for all new item categories.
This means there will be set of new item categories which will work in same way as existing are, but restricting use of Account assignment field.
This will solve your issue.

Both SAKNR and HKONT are GL accounts and they are populted based on type of dicument.

Subcontract GI with account assignment Q
hi guys,
I have a problem in subcon GI to vendor with account assignment Q (project specific).if i am raising a PO with item category L and with out any account assignment, i this case i am able to do GI in ME2O.
But, with account assignment Q, It is not appearing In ME2O.

vikramYou cannot do hat because subcontacting itself is a special stock(when you do GI), hence you can have two specila stock indicator for the same stock( Q and subcontracting)
If you want to send it to vendor then you need to release the stock from Q stock to unresticted then go GI-541(o),, then if you Do GI then system will transfer from UN stock to specila stock i.e. subcontactor stock)
