Line item Tolerance

Gurus,
Is it possible to set tolerance line item wise in MIRO

These are the possibe tolerancs can be maintained for a invoice
The system uses the following tolerance keys to check for variances:
AN: Amount for item without order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks every line item in an invoice with no order reference against the absolute upper limit defined.
AP: Amount for item with order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks specific line items in an invoice with order reference against the absolute upper limit defined. Which invoice items are checked depends on how you configure the item amount check.
BD: Form small differences automatically
The system checks the balance of the invoice against the absolute upper limit defined. If the upper limit is not exceeded, the system automatically creates a posting line called Expense/Income from Small Differences, making the balance zero and allowing the system to post the document.
BR: Percentage OPUn variance (IR before GR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units : quantity invoiced in order units and quantity ordered in order price quantity units : quantity ordered in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage tolerance limits.
BW: Percentage OPUn variance (GR before IR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units: quantity invoiced in order units and goods receipt quantity in order price quantity units : goods receipt quantity in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage limits defined.
DQ: Exceed amount: quantity variance
If a goods receipt has been defined for an order item and a goods receipt has already been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (total quantity delivered - total quantity invoiced)).
If no goods receipt has been defined, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (quantity ordered - total quantity invoiced)).
The system compares the outcome with the absolute upper and lower limits defined.
This allows relatively high quantity variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small quantity variances for invoice items for larger amounts.
You can also configure percentage limits for the quantity variance check. In this case, the system calculates the percentage variance from the expected quantity, irrespective of the order price, and compares the outcome with the percentage limits configured.
The system also carries out a quantity variance check for planned delivery costs.
DW: Quantity variance when GR quantity = zero
If a goods receipt is defined for an order item but none has as yet been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced + total quantity invoiced so far).
The system then compares the outcome with the absolute upper tolerance limit defined.
If you have not maintained tolerance key DW for your company code, the system blocks an invoice for which no goods receipt has been posted yet. If you want to prevent this block, then set the tolerance limits for your company code for tolerance key DW to Do not check.
KW: Variance from condition value
The system calculates the amount by which each delivery costs item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * planned delivery costs/ planned quantity. It compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
LA: Amount of blanket purchase order
The system calculates the sum of the value invoiced so far for the order item and the value of the current invoice and compares it with the value limit of the purchase order. It then compares the difference with the upper percentage and absolute tolerances defined.
LD: Blanket purchase order time limit exceeded
The system determines the number of days by which the invoice is outside the planned time interval. If the posting date of the invoice is before the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the start of the validity period. If the posting date of the invoice is after the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the end of the validity period. The system compares the number of days with the with the absolute upper limit defined.
PP: Price variance
The system determines by how much each invoice item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * order price. It then compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
When posting a subsequent debit/credit, the system first checks if a price check has been defined for subsequent debits/credits. If so, the system calculates the difference between (value of subsequent debit/credit + value invoiced so far) / quantity invoiced so far * quantity to be debited/credited and the product of the quantity to be debited/credited * order price and compares this with the upper and lower tolerance limits (absolute limits and percentage limits).
PS: Price variance: estimated price
If the price in an order item is marked as an estimated price, for this item, the system calculates the difference between the invoice value and the product of quantity invoiced * order price and compares the variance with the upper and lower tolerance limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
When posting a subsequent debit/credit, the system first checks whether a price check has been defined for subsequent debits/credits, If so, the system calculates the difference between (value of subsequent debit/credit + value invoiced so far) / quantity invoiced so far * quantity to be debited/credited and the product quantity to be debited/credited * order price. It then compares the variance with the upper and lower tolerance limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
ST: Date variance (value x days)
The system calculates for each item the product of amount * (scheduled delivery date - date invoice entered) and compares this product with the absolute upper limit defined. This allows relatively high schedule variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small schedule variances for invoice items for large amounts.
VP: Moving average price variance
When a stock posting line is created as a result of an invoice item, the system calculates the new moving average price that results from the posting. It compares the percentage variance of the new moving average price to the old price using the percentage tolerance limits defined.
Variances are allowed within predefined tolerance limits. If a variance exceeds a tolerance limit, however, the system issues a message informing the user. If an upper limit (except with BD and VP) is exceeded, the invoice is blocked for payment when you post it. You must then release the invoice in a separate step. If the tolerance limit for BD is breached, the system cannot post the invoice.

  • Manual account clear but can see line item after post document

    Hi Guru!
I have post account clear with transaction code F-03  with open item zero balance such as
    account 214001 balance +500
    account 214001 balance -500
when I simulate entry the system not show line item for post document but can post it . I want to know why ?
    thank you very much .

    Dear,
This is standard behaviour...if line item which you are clearing have zero balance then system will not show any line items since open itemss are cleared....
when you have tolerance difference or the residual posting then only system will show the line item....

  • Problem in Commitment line items & Budget check

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem in my system for Commitment line items & budget check.
    I followed the below steps:
    1. Created Project & structured the same.
    2. Allocated the Budjet for WBS Elements.
    3. Released the project.
    4. The PRs are created for material and external services.
    5. When I check in the report S_ALR_87013558 the commitments are not showing in the report.
    6. After I performed the PO & GR (the PO value is more than the budget), still it is not producing any error message.
    7. I have even consumed the material, for which the cost is more than the budget, still there is no error message from the system.
8 . I tried to perform transfer posting of the material from other plant or initial posting of the goods using 561 Q, at that time the system is producing the error message.
    9. When I check the above report after GR & GI the actual line items are showing.
The problem is that why system is not creating the commitment line items.
In customization I have maintained as below:
    1. Budget profile
    2. Assigned the Budget profile to Project profile.
    3. Maintained the tolerance limits for the controlling area and budget profile combination.
    4. I have created the B/S G/L accounts as cost elements with category 90 (statistical).
    5. AVAC for the WBS elements is active for the WBS elements
    My doubt is:
Why system is not writing commitment line items?
Even after writing the Actual line items why the error message is not produced?
I am understanding that since the GR from PO is being done, probably this GR is not producing the error message as it is linked with the PO commitment. But at the time of GI the error message should be produced.
Can any one help me for solving this issue?
I tried searching the forum before posing, but couldnot get a relevant one.
    Regards,
    Praveen

    Dear Nitin,
Yes I have checked it and the commitment management is active.
I also checked the table RPSCO table as well, there is no entried with the value key 21 or 22, the entires are available with 41  only for my project.
Also, I was maitaining the WBS element in a maintenance order. When I am trying to enter the materials in componenet tab, if the value is exceeding the budget value it is producing the error message.

  • Purchase order with variable value line item

    Hello experts,
In SRM 7.0 extended classic scenario after PO approval Is it possible to create a line item with such that even if we change the value(increase/decrease) it wont trigger approval workflow .We needed this because we don't know the exact value for transport such that if the value is modifiable it would help us.At the time of GR it is possible if value is below but if value is more than tolerance then we have to re order the PO then it will go through full approval cycle again we dont want that. Please tell is there any way to create such line item.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shiva

    Hello,
Are you integrating SUS also for the follow on processes after PO creation or you will be doing the same in ERP ?
If yes then you can achieve this with SRM - SUS integration scenario, by making use of the Limits items with transport as service, where the PO will be created with the certain limit value defined by the purchaser and later vendor can consume the same against the services like varying transport costs within that defined limit in the Purchase order response.
This will not trigger the Approval process again.

  • PO complete indicator at PO line item

    Hello Gurus,
We have a requirement where business wants one indicator in PO line item itself as "PO complete" and business wanrts that this indicator needs to be flagged automatically depends on below conditions fullfillment:-
    - Indicator Delivery completed is set: EKBE- ELIKZ=X
    - Invoice exists (for example, u201CInvoice amountu201D is greater than 0).
    - Invoice(IR) amount is different from Actual delivery(GR) amount & the difference is not more than 5%.
If business wants to set this indicator manually then provision should be there.
Also, business wants one report which will show for which POs, this "PO complete" indicator set automatically & POs for which it has been set  manually.
    Thanks, Ravindra.

I think you will confuse the busines with such an indicator, latest when you start archiving documents and SAP tells you that the document is not complete and cannot be archived.
A PO is not completed just because a user puts a X into a new invented field.
A PO is completed if the goods receipt was within delivery tolerances and invoiced quantity is equal to goods receipt quantity.
(this is just valid for inventory managed items in a PO)
if there was a difference between invoice and goods receipt, then business has to run GR/IR clearance with MR11, and not just put an X in an own field.
if the GR quantity is not within the tolerances, but business is okay with the receipted quantity, then they have to put their X into delivery completed indicator, not into an own developed field.
Such own developed field will be misleading for the process. After a while when you have the mess in your system with thousand of orders that have the Z-indicator for complete but are not really complete in SAP sense, then they will point the finger to you and say that they have set the indicator for complete but you have not taken care that SAP understood it.
So you would need to add a lot coding to perform all the checks that are executed for data archiving to allow setting of completeness or refuse it with a certain error message. Or coding to trigger BAPIs to set delivery compete indicator and to adjust order quantity  or run MR11 clearing etc when this indicator is activated.

  • Copying text from CMIR (KNMT) to the Sales Order Line Item

We need to copy text from the CMIR (KNMT) to the Sales Order Line Item with two steps in the access sequence. First to look up by the Ship to Partner Function.  If doesn't exist, then look up by Sold to Partner Function.  Have setup a new text id (ZPRN), a new access seq (9011).  The access seq has one seq =5 for KNMT, ZPRN, all languages and that saves fine.  When I set the Partner Function to be SH.  I get the following error msg:
"The Language does not come from the partner function AG for MVKE".
Any ideas?  This access seq does not reference MVKE. It only references KNMT.
    Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,
Just stumbled on this post, as I am searching for something similar.
What you are attempting to do isn't possible in config.
This is because as standard Customer Material Info Records are not even considered for ship-to party in the sales order.
    They work for sold-to only.
Therefore, this funny error message is SAP's way of saying, "Why are you trying to enter a partner here, because the data is determined for sold to only?"
You can change this with development for other fields (ie, to determine delivery plant, tolerances etc at ship-to) by using
the exit MV45AFZB with the USEREXIT_CUST_MATERIAL_READ form.
However, even if you do this, Text Determination is still sold-to only and still doesn't behave.
I am currently looking myself for a solution for this problem and I will let you know what I find.
    Cheers

  • Delivery of Contract Quantity after Order Line Item Rejection

    Hi,
    We have following scenario:
The Sales Order (100 units) is created with reference to Contract (500 units) and then partially delivered (95 units).
As the small residual of 5 units is remaining so we have put reson for rejection for line item.
When we try to create new Order with reference to Contract then system is considering the 500 units again. Actually as per contract, system should consider 405 units (500 in contract - 95 already delivered)
Also if we will not reject the line item then 5 units will not be considered for delivery.
We would like to design the solution wherein we can deliver all 500 units.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Hi Sameer ,
The described case is part of standard behavior. Look below the exaplanation:
The open quantity of a contract is calculated only from the ordered
quantity. It does not consider the delivered quantity.
When you set the reason for rejection, it means that this order is not
related to the contract. So the copied quantity is set to zero.
If you wish that the relation to the contract remains,
you should reduce the order quantity to the delivered quantity.
So if you create a sales order with reference to a contract and you
enter a reason for rejection in the sales order we reopen the quantity
in the contract. We suppose that the customer wants to get these
    quantities at a later time.
In both cases, our suggestion is the following:
instead of rejecting the sales order item or set delivery tolerance,
you should decrease order quantity directly,
so that delivery quantity= sales order item quantity.
I hope it clarifies the situation.
    regards
    Ruy Castro

  • How to set partial delivery for Purchase Order line item

    Hi Team
We have created a PO for 100 quantity along with 25% over delivery tolerance.  We have done 5 GRNs totaling for 95 quantity.  when we try to do another 10 quantity, system not accepting the GRN.
I want to set the partial delivery for this line item.  Please help how to do this.
    regards
    Ravi

where did you check the underdelivery tolerance of 0?
the PO is the place to check, changes in material master will notz effect existing POs.
if you removed the delivery complete indicator and the item still does not show up in MIGO, then set the "propose all items in MIGO settings"
if it still does not show up, then you might have other restrictions like confirmations , last goods receipt etc.
the error 'Document does not contain any selectable item" is often discussed in this forum, you will find numerous threads that list what you have to check.

  • Nomination Line Item complete status set automatically

Can you please point me to the config area to control the Nomination line item status completion.
Recently we have upgraded to service pack 12 and after that when we actualize the ticket, system is automatically setting nomination line item status as complete and thus blocking us from updating the event text details .
Can you please let me know where is the config for controlling the completion status for nomination line item
    Thanks
    Giri

    Hi ,
it is actually set automatically when the ticket qty is within the defined nom tolerance.
So check the tolerance settings on the nom. There is no other config here. You can influence the behaviour with BAdI implementations (OIJ_TKT)

This will return the name of the plant.
    .getExtensionField("PLANT").get().getDisplayName(session);
Check if this returns the product category
    collectionbean.getExtensionField("ITEM_CAT").get().getDisplayName();
    This will Return the Price
    collectionbean.getExtensionField("PRICE").get().getPrice();
    (return type :BigDecimal)
    This will return the currency
    collectionbean.getExtensionField("PRICE").get().getCurrency;
    (Return type:String)
Similarly to retrieve other fields for which there are no standard functions, use .getExtensionField("Field ID")
    Hope this helps

    Hi Gurus,
We encountered an issue. The payment run was processed last April 18 and the vendor invoices were captured during the payment run and in the aging report, these invoices didn't appear as Open Item.
In between April 19 until August 19, these invoices are not part of the proposal list until the when they run payment on August 20. The value is zero and in the proposal list, there is a value in the Reason to Print Advice "A".
What is the reason for this?
    Thank you.

    Hi Dianne Obviar,
For that invoice payment delete uncompleted payment

U go through this path select F4 in run date field
There check it any un completed proposal is there and delete

When I ran the vendor line items display (FBL1N), it shows all the invoices including the invoices paid on the Oct 18 EFT $263,869 which is (2034,66+60,403).

    Hi Gurus,
EFT is working fine. But the Vendor Open item Report (Custom Report) and Vendor line item report (FBL1N) is different.
We are looking a balance for a vendor as on 15th where the balances are not matching between the reports but if i run FBL1N on 18th the balances are matching.
