Link a DLL with Step.Module

I am trying to create a sequence file from a C# 2005 code using TestStand 4.0
The flow of control is (without going into the coding details) :
- create a step
- create a sequence
- add step to the sequence
- add sequence to a sequenceFile
- save the sequenceFile
now, the porblem is that through this flow, a sequence file is created but i am unable to Link the DLL with the Step.Module . The adapter name is "AdapterKeyNames.FlexCAdapterKeyName" and step name is "StepTypes.StepType_NumericMeasurement".
The manual reffers to the "CommonCModule.ModulePath" but i am unable to
access CommonCModule ! The sequence file generated has no DLL and the
expression is the default one:
"Numeric Limit Test, 9 <= x <= 11"
I need to:
- link a DLL with the module.
- Select a function from the DLL
- Pass paramaeter to the mathod and get result ( some default values )
- Set the expression
- Set the low and high limit

This link should at least answer some part of your question.

Actually we are using Filters which we have maintain as a Measuring Counter in PM. Our intention is just to track the which filter is used during the production process and also how much product is passed through that speciifc filer.I know my second point is covered through the measuring counter reading but I want to link it with PP module.

XI-- IDOC scenario, how to link process code with function module

I have a XI--->IDOC (R/3) scenario,
where i m creating a IDOC in XI and sending it to R/3,
i have done all settings to send the IDOC from XI to the R/3,
i also have the function module to process that IDOC in R/3,

FOr this u need to go to transaction WE41 for inbound and WE40 for outbound there u assign the function module.
Now u go to WE20 transaction for partner profile and u can assign the proces code to the inbound message.

I would like use TestStand with Python module. So I believe, we must use a DLL for execute a test, I'm wrong because I can use .exe for realize a test.
Now I know how use TestStand with Python module but I have a mistake. I wonder which is error 255?
Whereas I use .exe in Language C, I have no error.

Step 1.
GO to transaction SE80.In the drop box list select function group enter your Z Function group name.Press enter it will ask for creating the function group.Create your function group.

In SE37 transaction,in the menu bar Goto - > Function Group - > Create Group.Your Function Group will be created.
Step 2.
Go to transaction SE37.Enter your Z Function module name,your recently created function group name and the description.Press Enter.Now your FM is created.
Step 3.
Enter Export,Import parameters.In the source code tab write the code what you want to write.If any exception write in the exception tab.
Method 2)
First u have to create Function Group.
1.se37->Goto->Function Group--->Create.
2.Create FM.
3.maintain import /export parameters and tables , exceptions.
4.based on the ur requirement u have to bulid ur logic in Source Code by using there Import parameters and u can pass the results by using Export or table.
5.u can raise error by using exception.

Linking oraocci11.dll - OCCI works only with Microsoft VC++???

I wonder if OCCI will work with other IDEs too?
I tried to use it with MingW Toolchain (g++). But I could link the dll to my application yet. When compiling I get always:

give the 'z' search help name and create
select the selection method ur table name eg : 'mara'
dialog module 'display value immediately'.
add the field whatever u want and lpos = 1 and spos = 1 and check import and export parameter.
where left position when displaying and spos = search position
and then save and activate ..

Access ni4882.dll with Qt and MinGW

I have to control some electric loads and power supplies over GPIB. We use Qt 4.7.4 with MinGW 4.4 (32-bit) on Windows 7 64-bit.
The packet NI-488.2 GPIB Drivers packet 3.0.2 for Windows 7 64-bit is installed. The GPIB Troubleshooting Utility tool shows "pass" and the Measurement & Automation application can connect to the board and talk to an intrument. So far so good.
Now I want to write an application to use the NI4882.dll (3.0.0.49153). Unfortunately, there are just object files for Microsoft and Borland compilers and no lib file.
So we generate a def file from the ni4882.dll with:

The source code will be compiled and linked without an error.
But if I run it, the output is:
Error : Unable to open board: ibdev=32768 (EDVR - System error)

So, the question is: What is wrong? Why do I always receive this EDVR error. I also tried SendIFC(0) with the same result.
With the GPIB Interactive Control tool, I can communicate with my instrument and the NI I/O Trace logs it. But I can't see logs in the Trace tool from my application. Is this an indication?

Hi to all,
after some questions about using the GPIB library with Qt, I've written a step by step description to create object files for MinGW:
1. Create a folder and copy the "gpib-32.dll" from the "C:\Windows\System32" ("C:\Windows\SysWOW64" in Win7) to this folder.
2. Copy "ni488.h" from "c:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\include\". (Not ni4882.h!)
3. Load PExports (my version is 0.44) and put the exe in your folder to. I do not have a URL to load this tool but should be easy to find. It's freeware.
4. Copy dlltool.exe from "c:\QtSDK\mingw\bin\" to your folder.
5. Create a batch file "1 - build def file.bat" with the content: "pexports -h ni488.h gpib-32.dll > gpib.def"
6. Create a batch file "2 - build lib file.bat" with the content: "dlltool -k -D gpib-32.dll -d gpib.def -l libgpib.a"
7. Start the batch file "1 - build def file.bat" to create the def file "gpib.def"
8. Start the batch file "2 - build lib file.bat" to create the library file "libgpib.a"
9. Copy "gpib-32.dll" and "libgpib.a" to your software project. I created the subfolder "lib" and copied the files into.
10. Copy "ni488.h" to your software project. I created the subfolder "include" and copied the file into.
11. Into your PRO file type:

Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10.dll with a twist

So, I have been struggling with an issue for the last couple of weeks that is sending my mad. I receive the following error when attempting to make a connection to a database with my web app:
Error message:
"Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: (0x8007007E)"
I am using
Windows 2008 32bit
Oracle Client 11g
.net v2
IIS7
My apps called CMA, slimier to a more well known app NCSuite
My connection to the database seems to working doing a simple test with a .udl file.
I have attempted the following:
Full re-installing the Oracle drivers following online instruction to clear reg and assembly, several times
Setting permissions on the folder to beyond what they should be
Setting permissions on any folder that refers to oracle
Tried installing ODP.NET just on the off chance it might help
Had a good mess to see if it was something to do with the 64bit issue, but obviously not as Im 32bit
Unfortunately earlier version of the Oracle client are not compatible
One thing that confuses me is why my app would refer to OraOps10.dll rather than the OraOps11w.dll thats being used. Only Oracle 11g has ever been installed on this machine as its a fresh build. The application itself does not directly refer to the OraOps10.dll.
Any thoughts?

Hi,
I'm a bit confused by your statement "+Tried installing ODP.NET just on the off chance it might help+". You can only get that error if you're using ODP.NET in the first place. A UDL file would test an oledb connection, so it's good just to make sure the client libraries are there and tnsnames configured correctly, but otherwise a bit irrelevant to this error.
Anyway, that error occurs when ODP either cant find it's dependencies.. either the right OraOps or client dlls, or finds them but finds the wrong ones. OraOps11 (without the 'w') gets loaded when your application loads the 1.x ODP.NET provider. The provider for .net 2.x and higher loads oraops11w.dll.
The usual cause of this error is from apps including Oracle.DataAccess.dll in the app bin directory, rather than letting it get picked up from the GAC.
I'd start by
1) searching your machine for all Oracle.DataAccess.dll, and rename any outside the Oracle home and/or GAC.
2) if that doesnt do it, use a tool like Process Explorer (http://sysinternals.com) to find out where Oracle.DataAccess.dll is being loaded from, and what version. You need to have a matching OraOps that is the same version as Oracle.DataAccess.dll they actually need to be a matched pair (check the date of the dlls), but its the mismatched version that causes the error.
3) if neither of the above help, use Process Monitor to watch the dll's loaded 'live' to see if there is some sort of permissions issue, but the well known permissions issue that you've probably found information about was specific to 9.2 and 10.2 client, and is not an issue with 11g. That is to say, the OUI sets permissions properly in 11g, but it's still possible an IIS admin may have cranked permissions down too tight.
Additionally,
1) What version of ODP was your app compiled with?
2) What version of .NET framework?
3) What version of 11g client do you have installed, and what did you install it from? ie, 11107.0 full client? or 11107.20 odac bundle?

I have a asp.net web application running on windows server 2008 with oracle server 10g installed.
now we are planning to run application on another server with same server as database server. but when the deployed on new server the login page comes up and after login System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) exception is thrown. any help would highly be appreciated.

Did you run the ODAC installer, OUI or xcopy, or did you just copy over Oracle.DataAccess.dll to the new machine? If the latter, then you need to run the installer to put in all the necessary Oracle DLLs ODP.NET references.

Error messages: "itunesobjspl/jenetsvc.dll The specified module could not be found." And Error -2032 "Quicktime failed to initialize."

I initially got the Error -2032 message after downloading the newest version of itunes. I read a geek blog that said to uninstall Quicktime and I did that a bunch of times. I also uninstalled and reinstalled itunes repeatedly. None of this works. I noticed that the apple website said the requirements for the new quicktime/itunes download included an intel processor and I have a celeron processor, so I wondered if that was the problem, although everything has been running fine up until now, so I don't know. It also doesn't address the missing .dll file, but I may have accidentally deleted that because I went into the registry to try and unload some Quicktime files when I uninstalled Quicktime. I did this at the suggestion of the blog, but I may have screwed it up. Now I need to repair the missing .dll and still try to get itunes running

I have the same problem as mentioned above "Unable to load DLL 'elev.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) ", when trying to load the dll file into a window application. I developed a window application in VS2005 and want to import a dll file from another program into my project and use it. But when I try to call one of the function in the dll file, I got the error message "Unable to load dll 'elev.dll". I try all options that say it works to solve this problem, but somehow it doesn't work for me. I put the "elev.dll" file in the bin folder and use P/Invoke to import the dll file into my project. Can anyone help me out with this? thanks and really appreciated!

You don't mention which specific version of the operating system that you are using - Windows XP, Vista, or 7 and whether you're using a 32-bit or 64-bit version.
FWIW, kernell32.dll is a Windows system-level module, so it's possible that you have some corruption in your Windows installation which is preventing FM from launching.
Also, 2Gb of RAM is a bit lean for FM.

How to create a dll with strong name

For some security purpose, I need to create a dll with strong name by packaging the bean. I am able to create a dll from the bean but how do I create a strong name(sign) dll? I tried using jarsigner utility to sign the jar and then convert it into dll using packager utility but still the resulting dll is not signed. Please anyone let me know how can generate a signed dll by packaging my bean. Any suggestion/help is most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Step-by-step procedure:
1. Download Signer from Codeplex. No installation is necessary.
2. Backup your unsigned assemblies
3. Open the Visual Studio Command prompt or otherwise make sure that your PATH includes the .NET SDK binaries, and change to the directory where your assemblies are located
4. In a command window, execute:
PATH_TO_SIGNER.EXE\signer -k FILENAME OF YOUR KEY -outdir TARGET DIR -a YOUR DLL
5. The resulting assemblies should now have a valid strong name from your company key. You can check this with:
sn -T YOUR DLL
The public key token must match the token of your public key.
BTW - this is totally unrelated to Java Programming.
