Link on a page

Hi,
I am trying to display link on a page so that when ever user clicks on that URL the link should open on new page. For this i used URL iview and assigned it to page but when i preview the page it shows the content of URL but i want it like when i preview the page the link should appear when i click on that it should display the URL page.

I think I understood you right.
You have an iView say "A". When it open you only see a "Click here" link on a white background. When you click it, it opens www.google.com in the same content area right?
Yes, for that you make 2 iViews:
1: URL iView www.google.com, assign this to ur role.

This will explain how to make a JSP. In that JSP you will provide a link to URL iView you created in step 1. Thje code you used is called EPCM.doNavigate(). See this: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/9f/6fa84016631814e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Assign this iView also to your role.
Now for the iView number 1, set the property "Invisible in navigation areas = true" in the property editor, so that it doesnt directly show up.

Multiple Buttons linking to Multiple pages from one movie

Hi All,
I have a flash movie with 3 buttons I am trying to link relativley to pages within my site, I have one working fine but can't get the others to link and when I try it makes the one that is working, work no more..
Below's the code I am using for the one that is working;

I only see code for one button there, so I can only guess you repeat the same function multiple times. You cannot use the same name for different functions, and you cannot have the same function duplicated. Similarly, you cannot declare the same variable more than once. You can have buttons share the same function though, and you can assign new values to variables.
For now, start by creating a unique function definition for each button.
For further consideration, if your buttons happen to be movieclips you can assign the url's to them as variables, or if you name your buttons using the page names they link to, then the same function could be shared with a little generic finagling.

To add a new link on the left nav:
You can go to site settings> navigation> add a link under "current navigation".
For the second requirement:
You can create a "links" list and add it to that second page. This way you can have that "Add Links" option and add links.

When trying to open a link in the page I am on and open it in a new Tab the browser stops responding.

I open the browser and the Hime Page opens as expected. When I open a link to an item or article on the page in a new Tab Firefox stops responding and thye top line on the screen shows that to be the case. The only way to resolve the issue is to exit or close Firefox and start again. This has just started yesterday (Oct 12) as before that the process worked fine.
When I open a new Tab and then type in a new web site it will open and allow access with no problem, provided I have not open a link as outlined in the first paragraph. I can open several tabs in this manner and Firefox works as expected. But if I try to link from any page and open in a new Tab i get the "not responding" situation again.
After closing Firefox so I can restart it, the browser will open but the first screen will be a blank tab rather than my home page. I can open web sites and Firefox proceeds as expected as long as I do not try to open a link from within the page in a new Tab. I get the same "Not responding" situation.
If I immediately close Firefox after it opens without my homepage and then restart it then my home page will open as expected.
I have not made any changes to programs or setups in Firefox or on my computer in the immediate time before the problem started.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Problem: when I run this page, chart is displayed. Now if I click on the series value of chart, it opens page ( '?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::::P2_ORACLESID,P2_CAP_DATE:&P15_ORACLESID.,'||capture_date link) It opens page 2 in new window. I want it to open in same window. Am I missing something ? Is this possible ? Is there anything I can change to achive this functionality

I am able to see the chart, but I am not able to open or pass the value from one page to another page when I click the bar chart.

You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

I need to create a link on a page, while hiding it from the options

I am making a website for my work, which is a glass company. The options at the top to click on will be home, commercial, residential, and contact us. When you click on residential i would like to have links for windows, shower doors, ect. I want to be able to click on windows and it go to another page to show information about them, the same thing with shower doors, ect. but i don't want thoes titles to be at the top of the page. Is this possible.

What you're referring to is a drop down menu. Those can't be created normally in iWeb. They can be added to a iWeb page but require an HTML snippet and javascript. Some possible javascript solutions have been posted in this forum. Search for drop down menu. Also do a Google search for drop down menu to get a number of sites with possible solutions.
Or, you can create a separate Residential page and put photos of windows, shower doors, etc. on it and use them as links to the pages for the windows, shower doors. Those pages don't have to be included in the navbar. You can turn it off in the Inspector/Page/Page pane.

IPhone Safari doesn't open links in new page

Under iPhone Safari Settings, I've got it set to Open Links In New Page, but when I click on links in Safari, that doesn't happen. When I set it to Open Links In Background, that doesn't happen either. Links open in the same page no matter what the setting.
Anyone know how this can be fixed? Thanks.

It depends on the website. Some websites have it set up to take you to a new tab, some do it in the same tab.

How can I create links to other pages in iBooks that will function in PDF?

I know some people have asked previously how to create links to other pages of their book within iBooks. I having an issue with this myself that I haven't been able to resolve. I am able to create the links, and they seem to function within the program, however, once I export the document as a PDF file (the format in which I need to have this ebook!), the links seem to be non-functional. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Exporting as a PDF does alter/lose/remove certain functions. Adobe Acrobat has its own page navigation system.
A lot of the hidden engine of iBooks Author is basically very similar to building a website! so links and books marks are an "internal" function.
IF you have Acrobat and not just the Adobe Reader, you can make links. I have never needed to try, but I see a working link related index in the many software manuals I have.

after calling the chkBreakdown function and found out that it has record, then pop up an alert that tell the user this record have breakdown, and then link to the other page with the same window.
so the problem is how to identify user click on which row in the table.

Create links to other Pages documents

I am a singer and have been using a binder with all my lyrics in it for shows. I got an iPad for my birthday and want to use it in the binder's place. With each show the set list changes and I'd like to be able to create a setlist document in Pages with links to other Pages documents with the corresponding lyrics. The lyrics documents would be static; the setlist document would always be changing. The links in the setlist document would be like hyperlinks of sorts, except instead of taking you to the web, they would take you to other Pages documents in the My Documents folder in Pages.
I've searched all over the place for a solution. I've even tried using spotlight to search for the lyrics documents as a workaround, but spotlight doesn't find the Pages documents. Is this something I can set up on my MacBook and then transfer to my iPad? Is there other software besides Pages that can do this?

I think it would be much simpler to save your lyrics as pdfs and use one of the many dedicated music apps that allow you to create setlists. I use forScore (love it!), but you might also check out Unreal Book and Music Reader.
If you have a Mac, of course it's a cinch to print any file to PDF. For windows, possibly the free version of CutePDF would work for you.
EDIT I see you already have these printed out in binders. Just scan to PDF, then.

Multiple objects to have the same rollover state at the same time (but link to different pages)

I would like to know how i can have multiple images with the same rollover states - but which show up at the same time on more than one image, (but each item to have its own linking property applied to it)?
see image below: i want both box 'A' to pop with the same rollover state even if I'm hovering on just one of the boxes. But i want each of the boxes to link to different pages in my website.
Ive tried grouping the images and moving them to their own layer, but the rollovers aren't 'linking' together on multiple objects

It's not, but you don't need that to achieve the behavior you've described. A1, a trigger, will have the states and hyperlink you desire. On rollover it will show its rollover state and will show its target container which will be directly on top of A2. It will look like a rollover state for A2. Repeat this for A2, B1 and B2 and I believe you achieve the behavior you've described. It's just a different way of approaching the problem (that happens to fit the tools available in Muse).

It sounds that you are running the same iCloud account with two phones. I recommend you to create a different iCloud account and you should be all set.

Is there a way to have Firefox open all of the links on a page without having to click on them individually?

I frequently visit pages where I end up clicking through to all, or almost all of the links on that page (e.g., a chapter list page). I would like to just tell Firefox open all of the links on the page, each in it's own tab.
