Link to part database?

Hello,
I recently attempted to replace a cracked display on a laptop (15-j170us) and in doing so damaged a pin in the display ZIF connector. I'm attempting to find the system board part number for my exact model and the service manual lists 5 possible parts. Is there an HP parts database link that will allow me to enter my produce information and get the exact part number and cost for a replacement system board?
Thanks,
Matt

  • Links in the database

    Hi,
I wanted to display links in the database, for example
    HTML file
    one<br>
    two
When i see the result in the browser, i get
    one
    two
So, now I need the same result in my programme. I wanted to fetch the values from the database and show them to the user and have links added to the values. Can any one help me?
    Thanks

If I understand the question there are two parts.
Step 1 - you want to store a url in the database and then get it back out.
Step 2 - you want to display the url in a gui and allow a user to click on it and then display it.
    Step 1 is rather easy:
-Create a table named "DisplayLink" with one field name "url". See your database docs for this.
    -Populate the table
-Extract from the table using the "select url from DisplayLink". See the jdbc tutorial on this http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/jdbc/getstart/GettingStartedTOC.fm.html
    - Put the results of the above into an ArrayList and then go to step 2.
Step 2 might be easy or might not. But it doesn't have anything to do with JDBC so you might ask in a GUI forum.

  • Add or delete the summary links web part's[deployed as a VS solution] link using power shell

    hi,
i am having a visual studio custom solution having page layouts implemented. In that solution i am having 1  summary links web part and in that i have hard coded few links and this is  deployed on ion dev and staging env.
Now, the issue is : yesterday, customer came to me and asking me to change the links from http://abc to
http://xyz/ in this summary links. can anyone pls throw some light, such that i can change this link using a power shell script. i know  if i go the VS solution and change the link and redeploy [ update-spsolution
    command] will work.
but if the links are changing regularly , chnaging the vs solution and redeploying is not a good practice.
if i elaborate li'l bit,  i am adding the screen shot : i need to get the summary link column's value and  need to update[ delete xisting one and  add new ones ]
is there any way , i can change the links using power shell script?
i tried the belwo power shells cript to get the page in the page layouts :
    $web = get-spweb
    "http://siteurl"
    $pubWeb = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.PublishingWeb]::GetPublishingWeb($web)
    $pagesListName = $pubWeb.PagesListName
    $defaultAspxFile = $pubWeb.GetPublishingPage("$pagesListName/mycustomhome.aspx")
    $summaryLinkFieldValue = New-Object
    Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.Fields.SummaryLinkFieldValue
// here am getting the NULL VALUE
can i get the  summary links field correctly and  delete / modify the same?
    help is appreciated!
    ##$groupLink = New-Object
    Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.SummaryLink("My group")
    #$groupLink.IsGroupHeader = $true $summaryLinkFieldValue.SummaryLinks.Add($groupLink)

    Hi Shabeaut,
Could you tell us why do you want to add a link web part to the master page for all pages?
I tested that Summary Links web part (and other types of web parts) added in the master page under Quick Launch couldn't be edited when I edit the pages inherited from v4.master page, it looks by design.
Have you tried using the Quick Launch to add the link instead if you want to show links in all pages.
    Thanks

  • Database Link to Mysql Database.

    Hi Guys.
I need to Create a Database Link a Mysql database that is running over a Red Hat server to my Oracle 10g Database that is running over SUSE. I Have an Application server where the user runs forms and Report. The user access the Application Server that allow them to connect to Oracle Database because is a web Environtment. I would like to access MYSQL database to pull our some data to create a couple of Views for my Users.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Emmanuel
PD: do I need to configure some ODBC or just modify my tnsname.ora file???

add a space to each line in the SID section of your listener - only GTW_LISTENER and SID_LIST_GTW_LISTENER are valid commands to start at the first position in the file.
In addition please remove that line from your gateway init file: HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME=C:\Program Files\MySQL\Connector ODBC 5.2\myodbc5w.dll
HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME is used on Unix to specify the ODBC Driver Manager - as you're on Windows where Windoes ships a valid ODBC Driver Manager you don't need to specify that parameter.manager. In addition please remove the set ODBCINI parameter as the Windows ODBC Driver Manager uses the registry. So make sure you have created a 64bit ODBC system DSN using the 64bit MySQL ODBC driver (it has to be the 64bit ODBC driver as you're on a 64bit Windows using a 64bit DG4ODBC)

  • Summary Links web part not showing correct column number

Here is my scenario. I have a simple two server dev farm that is using a snapshot of production data. I have migrated the 2010 content db over and everything is running fine. One quirk I have noticed is with the summary links web part. If I add the webpart
to a page, in the configuration settings for the webpart you can create named groups and the next setting is how many columns you want the links to appear in. When I select lets say "4" columns, and I create four groups. When I save and check in
the web part only shows "3" columns instead of 4.
    For Example.
    I create groups: Group 1
                              Group 2
                              Group3
                              Group 4
In the webpart configuration I select "display number of columns" = 4
When I save that setting and look at the web part the groups will appear as:
     Group 1             Group 2                    Group 3
    Group 4
when in reality if the column setting is = 4, I would expect:
    Group 1      Group 2      Group 3      Group 4
So it appears it is behaving as if whatever column number you select, what is displayed is N-1.
Has anyone else had this happen in SharePoint 2013? The same webpart doesn't behave this way in the 2010 production environment where dev gets its content. Any help would be great.
    Thanks,

    Hi againeyuga,
Yes, I have tested in my SharePoint Server 2013 with December 2013 CU  and it  works fine. For your environment, I recommend  you install the SP1 update.

  • Database link between the databases with the same name

    Hi,
I need to establish a db link between two databases that are named the same way on two different servers.
    server 1 has a database dev1 and server2 has a database dev1. The tnsnames on server2:
    DEV1 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server2)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = DEV1)
    DEV1_server1 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server1)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = dev1)
Can anyone let me know a way to create a database link between the two above?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Am not sure what problem you are facing in creating a db link
create database link dev1_server1 connect to x identified by x using "dev1_server1"
create database link dev1_server2 connect to x identified by x using "dev1_server2"where dev1_server1 and dev2_server2 are the tns entry in tnsnames.ora file of server2 and server1 respectively.

  • DW CS4 Links to MSSQL Database, sees fields/data but won't display on webpage

I'm trying to get a Dynamic Data Table to show in my webpage but I can't.  (Using ASP JavaScript)
I'm using DW CS4 (10.0 build 4117) and connecting to an MSSQL database on a Windows platform server hosted by Verio.
I can successfully link to the database, I can see my data correctly when I bind the record set and do a "Test SQL Statement" , see images below:
My Design View of the page with the table shows the correct fields and looks like:
Everything should look when I switch to Live View or view the page on a browser, right??  Well instead I get this:
If the pic is unclear it says:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
    /Test2009/Untitled-1.asp, line 5
Line 5 of course refers to the ActiveConnection command which uses the INCLUDE file for the connection string.
    The Line 5 is
    Recordset1_cmd.ActiveConnection = MM_PMCDonSQL_STRING;
    And the INCLUDE reverenced is:
    var MM_PMCDonSQL_STRING = "dsn=PMCSQL1;uid=pmcapp0010sql;pwd=FloraVista49;"
These are parameters for logging into the MSSQL database (This is just a test database so showing password doesn't matter)":
    Server By Name:  SQLExpress4.mql14000.MSSQLServers.com,1433\SQLExpress4
    Server By IP:  128.121.85.21,1433\SQLExpress4
    Database Name:  pmcapp0010
    Login ID:  pmcapp0010sql
    Password: FloraVista49
    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

No one wanted to help me but I figured out that I was not referencing the DSN on the test server, only the local DSN.
The information to connect to the MSSQL database given by my hosting company was not correct for Dreameweaver (or MS Access) either.

  • Bad link to Part 7 of series

    Great series of articles!!
On the bottom of "Effects—motion that emphasizes" (page
6 of "Designing for Flex – Part 6: Guiding with motion"), the
link to "Part 7: Making your application fast" is
    http://www.stage.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/fig_pt7.html
and results in a message that says "We're sorry, you are not
allowed access to the service you requested."
    The correct link (
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/fig_pt7.html)
is on the "Introduction" to "Designing for Flex – Part 6:
    Guiding with motion."
Fixing this link in the article would make it possible for
readers to keep going without being startled or stopped by the
    abrupt error message denying access.
    Thanks.

The links are now fixed. The Metadata Repository creation assistant is also availble from the windows download page.

    Hello,
It looks like you already removed some code from the
    fadeimages Array.
In the fadeimages Array, the script is looking for three
    things: the image
path, the link and the target.
Since you don't want a link and don't need a target, just
    insert an "empty
    value" for each of these.
You only have the image path in the code, so the script fails
    "when it
doesn't find the other two things it's looking for"..
    Change this:
    fadeimages[0]=["restaurantexterior1.jpg"]
    fadeimages[1]=["restaurantinterior2.jpg"]
    fadeimages[2]=["restaurantinteriorwall.jpg"]
    To this:
    fadeimages[0]=["restaurantexterior1.jpg", "", ""]
    fadeimages[1]=["restaurantinterior2.jpg", "", ""]
    fadeimages[2]=["restaurantinteriorwall.jpg", "", ""]
"" means no value, so now the script finds the image path,
    then finds the
link which is empty and lastly, finds the target which is
    empty.
Since it finds the three things it's looking for, it
    processes.
    Take care,
    Tim

  • I have taken pictures of items that are linked to a database that I am building.  How can I bypass importing into iPhoto and simply downloading the images as "files" not "photos" so I can access them with my database?  thanx.

I have taken pictures with both my Sony camera and my iPhone of items that are linked to a database that I am building, as well as my website.  How can I bypass importing the images into iPhoto and simply downloading the images as "files" not "photos" so I can access them with my database?  thanx.

If your Sony has a removable memory card you can use a card reader to copy the image files from to a folder on your Desktop and then move them anywhere you'd like.
Since the iPhone doesn't have a removable memory card you can try using Image Capture to see if you can manually upload the files to a folder on the Desktop.
If you have to import the photos, which are image files, into iPhoto you can then export them out of iPhoto to the Desktop and go from there to your database.  Just because they are in iPhoto doesn't prevent you from using them elsewhere.

  • Linking Table Between Database

How can I link my table to 1 view in other database?
I know, we can estalish the connection but I don't know how to do that.
    Please help,
    Thank You,

What do you mean "link"? You can create a database link
    CREATE [PUBLIC] DATABASE LINK database_link_name
      CONNECT TO username_on_remote_machine
      IDENTIFIED BY password_on_remote_machine
USING 'tns_alias_to_remote_database'and query tables across the database link. You cannot, however, define foreign key constraints across instances, which is a good thing considering the performance implications of doing so.

  • Links to parts of report results - urgent

I have a report that contains a lot of data-depanding on the values of bind variables up to 10000.
I need to put on the top of report page links to parts of result set, for example to every two hundred of lines (200, 400, ...). I mean something like links to pages on technet discussion groups.
How can I do that? Is there any variable that I can use in url link to display such part of results?
    Thanks in advance.
    best regards
    Krzysztof Jungowski

    Hi,
I seem to remember that there is a form in the report that holds the information that you need, it should be possible to alter the values in this form and then submit it to get the required results.
Sorry, I don't have Portal, only WebDB.
there are two fields near the end of the form:-
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="p_arg_names" VALUE="p_page_number"
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="p_arg_values" VALUE="1"
the second field always contains the current page number.
If you set the page number with Javascript and then submit the form you will get either the page before or after the one that you have set.
    Regards Michael
