Links wont work...
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a php site and i havent used Dreamweaver
for a few years. Im finding that my links wont work. I am using IIS
on vista with my root folder in
http://localhost/wwwroot/msite
but the links from the php page keep pointing to
http://localhost/mysite (mysite
is not in this folder).
Also, when i test the php page in firefox i get a different
name in the browser for the page than what i originally named it,
instead of 'index.php' i get 'tmp2px68f19s.php'
In the site definition dialog box i have put '
http://localhost/wwwroot/mysite'
as
the http address of my site.
Any ideas what i've done wrong?

That just means that you have temp files enabled in your
Preview in Browser
PREFERENCES. That's not a problem.

Remove that.
What do you have in the Testing server definition?

My Links and External Links wont work on my page. Using Dreamweaver CS4
I have followed all the instructions for adding external links to my website using Dreamweaver CS 4. I cannot click on any of the links in the body of my pages, even on my sitemap page my internal links dont work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have looked online for a resolution to this problem and not finding any new information.

Links wont work when they are in the way of my mega menu
Any links that will be covered by the mega menu when it drops down won't work even when they have not been covered yet. This is frustrating because that means I can't have any links in the top part of my page and I have this mega menu on every page.

Nothing happens when i click the tab and links wont work?
usually my tab icon works but the past couple of days i click on it and nothing happens. its becoming frustrating that i have to open alot of firefox windows. also when i click on links it opens a new window not a tab and the window is blank. Please help.

Hi,
I have just about finished david powers' book, 'Dreamweaver
CSS with CSS, Ajax and PHP', but when i uploaded my site none of
the links work (links such as 'about us', 'news' etc..)..
I get this message..
" Not Found, The requested url/pages/lessons.php was not
found on this server Additionally, a 404 not found error was
encountered".
They work fine when i test on localhost and im using
Dreamweaver to upload.
Any ideas why this is and how i can go about fixing it?

And its great! But it uses a simplefied Captcha script.

Im a hobbyist that learns really really fast.
Before March 23 i never used CSS, Javascript and XHTML. And never combined them all together with PHP. (never ever created a php based file from scratch)
The reason why i use other persons code is because i learn faster with examples, and because i dont need to reinvent the wheel if someone already invented it. The only thing i do with it is learn the workings, customise it and at last, rewrite the code when i understand it.

Safari 2.0.4 with upgrade to 10.4.11 wont work, help, please
I am just beside myself. Safari wont work. I have broadband and all is well there, I've run disk warrior, all is well there. I've run disk first aid to check and verify disk. All well there. I upgraded to OS 10.4.11 from Upgrade on my g5, and safari wont load its face page; it just hangs pale blue highlight over half of this phrase "Go to this address."
