Local Database not accessable from enterprize manager console

Hi all .. i have a strange problem, please help
i hv installed oracle 9i on my pc. it is linked with a db server and local database (for scott schema) is also installed on pc. with oracle enterprise manager console i have been, and want to access both the databasses.(db server and local)
i can access the db server database as sys: attributes are ..
host: 10.4.34.59
port: 1526
sid: grid59
attribs for local db
host: e5687g7665
port: 1523
sid: ora123
both dbs are accessable from sql plus but when i write scott, tiger on console, it says 'no listener'.... on oracle net manager i hav already added the address for local pc db.
thanx in advance, please help

Ok i have removed the ip address of remote db from listener ... now the complete pic of tnsname and listener is as under butttttttt.....
:( the problem is still there ... my OEM console connects to remote db as 'sys as sysdba' but not local db as 'scott/tiger'...

  • Database Studio 7.9.08.09 -  Could not access to user management; Deleting old settings and reinstallation did not bring a change -- database studio deinstallation cannot be performed anymore

    Hi Community,
for a few months I have been struggling with a  SAP Max DB database Studio issue and finally, I had to give up the idea of being able to fix this on my own. I am desperately seeking for help and I hope that you may be able to give me a hint, advice or even a solution.
    This is what happened:
I used to run Windows 7 on 32bit. I also had Database Studio installed - which was running fine then.
After a harware upgrade, I am running now Windows 7 on a 64 bit System. All my files from my local disk (C:\) have been restored and copied onto my new system.
I reinstalled Database Studio Version 7.9.08.09 onto my new System.  But on the first try to start the program I received the error that said "Could not Access to user Management.See Window -> Show View-> Event Log Viewer for more Details."
However the Event Log Viewer was empty.
After searching the web for a solution, I followed the advice given in this community and deinstalled Database Studio and deleted the C.\Users\MyAccount\sdb folder manually.
I reinstalled Database Studio and started it as Administrator.
However, the error is still appearing.
And, what makes it even worse is : now I am not able to uninstall Database Studio anymore.
When I run SAP MaxDB Installation Manager and select the instance of database Studio to be uninstallled I am receiving the error:
"ERR: Unhandled Exception: Can't call method: "GenPackageList" on an undefined value at SDB/Install/Gui/Dialogs/SelectInstance.pm line 328"
    Any advice is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Agnieszka

    Hello Yashwanth,
thank you for your quick Response.
Yes, I downloaded and installed the 64 bit Version of dbstudio.
I downloaded and ran the following .exe file: maxdb-studio-win-64bit-x86_64-7_9_08_09.exe
I am running the following Java-Version:
    Java Plug-in 1.6.0_45
Using JRE version 1.6.0_45-b06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
I myself am not a SAP customer. However, the Company I am working for is a SAP customer.
Can you explain in Detail, how to create a ticket with SAP?
    Thanks,
    Agnieszka

  • Disconnect object using a script (not from FIM Management console)

    Hi,
Is there any way to disconnect a connector from its connected Metaverse object using a PowerShell command or wathever?
For the moment we use the Management Console to achieve this operation by clicking on "disconnect" to force the connector to become "disconnector".
    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your reply,
The deprovisioning process works fine and is not the purpose of what I want to achieve.
What I want to do is to disconnect an Connector from a MV object to reconnect it to another MV object because the join rule isn't valid anymore.
The case is as follow :
An Active Directory user is linked to an identity in our Identity Management System using a UserID which is mapped to employeeId attribute in AD user.
If the employeeID in AD is modified (by another Management Agent for example), I want to connect the user, with the new employeeID, to the correct MV object and hence to the correct ID in our system.
The main idea is to store some information from AD user such as UserPrincipaleName or sAMAccountName in the correct identity.
Unfortunately, the join rule isn't evaluated for the "connected" Connectors but only for "disconnectors" (unless there is an option to re evaluate the join rules for all objects that I don't know).
So to connect the user to the correct MV object, I have to disconnect manually the Connector to make it disconnector and re-sync. The sync process connect automatically the user to the correct MV Object which provision attributes from AD user to the right
ID and "delete" attributes from the former ID in our system.
    Thanks for your help.

My databaseadmin told me, that all is ok, the operations management server queries the new sql server, then close the connection. So we started again the old database server, there are still queries to this server.
    What i've done:
    - Changing the database servers name in the registry, Microsoft Operations Manager, 3.0, Setup, DatabaseServerName
    - changing the database entry at the file ConfigService.confg
After my databaseadmin told me, that there are queries at the old database server, i searched in the registry and found two entries:
    - System Center
     Common
      Database
       DatabaseServerName
    - System Center Ooperations Manager
     12
      Reporting
       DWDBInstance
.. i have still this error, no connection possible.
    What testing i can do?
    Kind regards
    Wolfgang

You have to update the DB server names in the databases as well. Here are the instructions for SCOM07, I suspect it's similar in SCOM12
Update the OperationsManager database with the New Database Server Name, and ensure that the account that you are logged on with has sufficient privileges on the SQL Server instance.
    Open SQL Server Management Studio.
    Expand
    Databases, OperationsManager, and Tables.
    Right-click
dbo.MT_ManagementGroup, and then click Open Table if you are using SQL Server 2005 or click
Edit Top 200 Rows if you are using SQL Server 2008.
    Change the value in the
SQLServerName_6B1D1BE8_EBB4_B425_08DC_2385C5930B04 column to reflect the name of the new SQL Server-based computer.
    Save your change
Configure the Operations Manager database with the name of the new Data Warehouse server as follows:
On the server that hosts the Operations Manager database, open SQL Server
Management Studio and navigate to Databases, OperationsManager, and then to
    Tables.
    Right-click
dbo.MT_DataWarehouse, and then select Open Table if you are using SQL Server 2005 or select
Edit Top 200 Rows if you are using SQL Server 2008.
    Change the value in the
MainDatabaseServerName_16781F33_F72D_033C_1DF4_65A2AFF32CA3 column to the name of the new Data Warehouse server.
Close SQL Server Management Studio to save your changes.

  • Setting EX2007 mailbox permissions with Exchange Management Shell not reflected in Exchange Management Console

    Hello,
I'm trying to use PowerShell to script some mailbox permissions.  The mailbox permissions I set in the shell are not displaying in the EMC.  The command I'm using is:
    add-MailboxPermission -accessrights fullaccess -identity $username -user MYDOMAIN\$supervisor -confirm:$false
I get confirmation from the shell:
    Identity             User                 AccessRights
    IsInherited Deny
    MyDomain.net/Separa... MYDOMAIN\mysupervisor    {FullAccess}
    False       False
Afterwards, when I look in the Exchange Management Console for this user (Right click, Manage Full Access), even after allowing time for replication, I don't see this new permission reflected there.  But If I use Get-MailboxPermission
    $username, the permissions show up:
    Identity             User                 AccessRights
    IsInherited Deny
    MyDomain.net/Separa... MYDOMAIN\mysupervisor    {FullAccess}
    False       False
Why is this addition not being reflected in the shell?

    Hi,
The cmdlet you use to grant full access permission is right. If your case, please let "mysupervisor" access to this user's mailbox and verify if he/she can access it. Maybe Exchange Management Console has not been updated well.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • Data is not getting displayed in Management Console.

    Hi Experts,
I am using BPC 7.5(M) SP04, Web server as IIS 7.0 and database server as SQL Server 2008 in Multi Server environment, Web Server is on Application Server (Windows Server 2008) and database server is on different machine.
I have configured the ODBC logging as documented in the install guide section : Setting Up ODBC Logging in IIS 7.0 for the Default Web Site and records are there in BPClog table of Appserver database but when I try to see data in Management console it doesn't show any data eg: It doesn't show any data after clicking  "Who's Online" link under WebServer section of management console.
Do I need to do some more settings for getting the records display in Management Console.
    Please Advice.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi Roberto,
I have gone through the OPS guide but still "Who is Online" link of management console is not showing any data, I tried giving date range in Start date/end date fields and clicked on "Reload" button but it gives error message:
LOGIN FAILED FOR USER 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'
    Please Advice.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Can not login into Solaris Management Console

I have a stand alone Solaris 9 system, I am able to log in as root, when I try to run Solaris Management Console 2.1 to create/delete/modify users it prompts for the root password. I enter the root password and it doesn't take and prompts again to enter the root password. Current encryption is MD5, current password is 14 characters long, changed to 8 characters still same issue. Not sure exactly where to look or what I should be looking for, other information I have gathered if it helps:
    /etc/user_attr
    root::::profiles=All;auths=solaris.*,solaris.grant;type=normal

Seems your root password is not working.
Boot the system with CD to single user from PROM (ok).
From OK prom issue boot cdrom -s, the system will boot to single user mode.
Mount your root device, it will be something like /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0, mount it to some mount point like /mnt or /a. (mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /mnt)
    cd /mnt/etc
    vi shadow
remove the encrypted password for user root and save the file.
    cd /
umount /mnt or /a where root partition is mounted.
reboot the system and re-set your root password using passwd command.

  • Enrolling iOS devices "not shown in Configuration Manager console"

After successfully enrolled my Windows RT I want to enroll my iOS devices (iPad 1 & iPhone 4). First step is completing the iOS configuration (uploading APN certificate). Next step I associated my devices by installing management
profiles (https://manage.microsoft.com). All my application appears when starting the Company Portal App but my device will not appear in my Configuration Manager admin console.
When I select the Support tile in the Company App it says "Name not yet available", I'm not sure if this is a normal behavior?
    Any thoughts/pointers are welcome.

  • WebDAV access from File Manager gone from Belle

The Files (formerly File Manager) app has been stripped of its WebDAV feature.
For me, this is a big inconvenience, as it means that N8, E6, 701 now has no built-in means of exchanging files with our home Synology NAS box. (AFAIK, Belle has no FTP, NFS or AFP client "out of the box" or available in the Store, and I'd have to cough up £3 for MyExplorer to add a Windows file-sharing (SMB) client to N8, E6, 701 etc.)
I don't know if anyone involved with Belle on the Nokia side, reads this forum, but after asking them why they felt they had to remove a genuinely-useful feature, I would plead with them either to restore the WebDAV client functionality to Files, or provide a separate app to enable some kind of file-sharing (WebDAV, SMB, FTP, whatever).
If I have to pay for a third-party client to give me this functionality, no problem, then so be it, but I do have to ask why a 2012 smartphone platform is shipping without a single means of exchanging files over a network (and I don't count USB or Bluetooth file-transfer). For that matter: does anyone know why WebDAV was removed from Files?
Maybe I'm the only user who even noticed that WebDAV was gone, but I just had to "vent" a bit...

    And this answer I received from th devoloper of myExplorer in March;
    Hello!
Unfortunately, myExplorer does not support WebDAV. However you can still connect remotely to your NAS or other file server in two ways:
        A. By forwarding the SMB port in your router. This is easy to setup but it is not very secure. While authentication information (user name and password) is protected, as they are never transmitted unencrypted, the rest of the traffic will go over unsecured connection. Here is what you have to do for this to work:
        1. Forward port 445 (or 139) on the file server (or NAS) in your router to another port (for example 22678 - the number is not important, what is important is to write it down for later).
        2. Create a new network share in myExplorer and type the external IP address of your router in the field "Computer IP address). If your external IP address is dynamic and you are using some kind of dynamic DNS, instead of IP address, please fill the DNS name of the router in the field "Computer DNS name".
        3. Fill in the port number from step 1 in the field "Port number"
        4. Select "Always ask" as access point because you may need to use different access points depending on your current physical location (3G on the road or Wi-Fi in the office, etc.).
        5. Please note that you will have to add exception to your firewall for port 445 or 139 as most firewalls block the ports 445 and 139 when the other IP address is not local. This is true even for the built-in firewall in Windows.
        B. By using VPN network.  This method is better from security point of view but it requires more work to setup. First you need to setup a VPN network from your phone to the LAN where the NAS is located. This can be done in few different ways and the concrete steps depend on what kind of VPN you are using. After you have working VPN, all you need to do is this:
        1. Fill in the NetBIOS name or the (local, not external) IP address of the computer.
        2. Select the created VPN access point as the access point for this network share.
Please note that both methods above require some knowledge about the networks. We are planning to create a tutorial, which explains the needed steps but it is not ready yet.
    Best regards!

  • ODBC in a local database not connects by IPC/TCP. Oracle 8.1.5 or 8.1.7

    Hello, my friends!
I've been having problems with the connection to oracle 8.1.5 via ODBC.I configure a tnsnames and it requieres a protocol: TCP, SPX, IPC, named pipes. I started using
tnsnames with TCP protocol and the connection via ODBC shows the message: 'Server rejected the connection'. My application and the database are in the same PC, so i'm accesing via ODBC to the database locally. Then i tried configuring IPC protocol and then i tested by ODBC test and it showed me a message: ERROR: native error: 12560, TNS: protocol adapter error.
my intention it's to access oracle by ODBC, both the application and the database are in the same PC, i have not network.
so, i'd appreciate any help, please, any comments send me an email to :

  • ERPi database not updating from 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2

I am in the process of updating from ERPI 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2. I have moved the ERPI Oracle schema to a new DB and ERPI 11.1.2.2 is on a new server, in a new environment. When running the config tool to do the "configure database" task, I tried choosing to "Connect to existing database" and the Config tool reports successful, however, the updates to the ERPI schema are not run. I then went and tried to use the upgrade from 11.1.1.3+ and the upgrade check failed because we are already on 11.1.2.1. I'm not finding any documentation on needing to run the upgrade SQL scripts manually, to move from ERPI 11.1.2.1 to ERPI 11.1.2.2. Is the schema supposed to automatically update at some point, or do I need to run a series of SQL scripts against the Oracle schema? I do see several scripts, that were laid down by the installer that look like they should either run as part of the config tool, execute upon first login to ERPI or run against the Oracle schema manually. Please clarify. If scripts need to be run manually, please let me know which scripts need to be run to update the schema from 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2.

So, I went rogue and tried repairing all files in my Apple Updates folder. Now my iTunes won't open at all.
I deauthorized my current computer, and uninstalled iTunes and all related files/folders. I've since reinstalled iTunes 11.1.5.5, but now I have multiple issues:
Some of my songs won't play in my library. It says "this computer is not authorized to play xxxxxx song" and asks if I want to authorize it.  I type in my Password to authorize, and it gets stuck trying to "access iTunes Store". So, I'm not sure if my computer is actually authorized or not?
I then run diagnostics in iTunes, and I get an error saying "Secure link to iTunes Store Failed". (Which explains why I'm getting stuck while trying to access iTunes store).  I click Help next to the error, and it errors out saying "iTunes help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the Internet, even though I AM connected to the Internet.

  • Lotus Notes access from PL/SQL

    Hi,
I am using Oracle 9i on RedHat Linux AS, and would like to connect to Lotus Notes Domino server version 6.5 running on Microsoft Windows 2000.
I have checked out the jdbc-odbc-bridges from both Easysoft and Sun, but would like to avoid installing 3rd party software on the Lotus notes server.
Anyone have expriences with Lotus' interfaces java/corba, c or c++ ?? Or can link to information!
As far as I know, Oracle have not released a db-link for Lotus notes so I can access the notes databases directly from PL/SQL.
