Locale issues

Hey guys,
I've started building out a Flex application using
Actionscript 3 (no MXML files) as I'd like to keep it lightweight
where possible and possibly compile it also in Flash CS3. However,
I keep getting the errors :
Unable to resolve resource bundle "messaging" for locale
"en_US"
Unable to resolve resource bundle "rpc" for locale "en_US"
How do I resolve this issue? I've tried including all the
SWC's for Flex, but still get no resolution. Is there something I'm
doing wrong or not doing?
Thanks,
Lee

You may want to try asking on the yahoo flexCoders group. I
think there are
more enterprise type folks there.

  • [SOLVED]X server locale issues

    Ok so I had this common issue with the glibc update (deleted everything but modules in /lib) and I had to manually unzip an older glibc package in my / folder. After that I rebooted my system, updated fully (latest glibc & symlinked /lib to /usr/lib properly). I then started X normaly but I noted this:
    http://pastebin.com/xfd3tXB7
    So although X boots fine, i have this minor locale issues. I guess it has to do with the fact that I am using greek language. I have installed a greek-Inconsolata font back then and now it is not displaying properly on the urxvt (just some weird chars). I can however switch keyboard layouts just fine and type in both languages (greek/english)

    Getting above error on Expressway-C server while establishing TLS connection with Expressway-E in DMZ. I have enabled static NAT on Expressway-E and give the Public IP on peer address of Expressway-C. At that time, i was getting DNS resolution error  on Expressway-C so we added a host record on local DNS for Public IP. Later, I created CSR from both Expressway C & E server and ask local microsoft team to issue Local CA certificates. After uploading, i was getting above error (Failed to establish TLS). Also i have uploaded company (wilcard) Public certificates (issued from Geotrust) and we are getting the samer error and Expressway server could not establish TLS connection on port 7001. Firewall connections are done and i double checked it.
    Expressway ver 8.2

    Yes, Exp-C > Peer Address (FQDN of Exp-E)
    Certificate of Exp-E -> When generating CSR from Exp-E, automatically FQDN (Exp-E(hostname).domainname.com) will be shown. Then this CSR will be send to local CA or Public CA to generate a certificate. OR you meant to say in Exp-E CSR we need to add FQDN of Exp-C server also in alternative name and vice versa too.
    Yes, root certificates & intermediate certificates are uploaded to trusted CA.

  • [sovled] gnome3.12 locale issue, cannot open gnome-terminal

    I update gnome from 3.10 to 3.12, everything works fine except that I cannot open gnome-terminal, the error message shows

    The other problem is that I cannot start fcitx(I use it to input chinese) either, there is somethings wrong in my locale, when I type 'locale ' it shows

    I have resolved this issue. The reason I guess is also "locale"
    "$localectl" output "System Locale: n/a" and I check the /etc/locale.conf I found this file is lost.
    So after I press below command and reboot the machine, gnome-terminal could be started.
    # localectl set-locale LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
    Thanks all!

  • [SOLVED] Systemd locale issue

    I have a recent fresh install of Arch, it's a "pure" systemd installation.
    I'm using XFCE4 and Terminal.
    I can't manage get proper unicode support, only in the terminal: I'm always stuck on POSIX.
    All of this code is run as root.
    $ grep -v '#' /etc/locale.gen
    en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
    fr_FR.UTF-8 UTF-8
    $ locale-gen
    Generating locales...
    en_US.UTF-8... done
    fr_FR.UTF-8... done
    Generation complete.
    $ locale -a
    C
    en_US.utf8
    fr_FR.utf8
    POSIX
    $ cat /etc/locale.conf
    LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_COLLATE="C"
    $ locale
    LANG=
    LC_CTYPE="POSIX"
    LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
    LC_TIME="POSIX"
    LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
    LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
    LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
    LC_PAPER="POSIX"
    LC_NAME="POSIX"
    LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
    LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
    LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
    LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
    LC_ALL=
    Pressing my "é" key on the keyboard just produces a "?" in the terminal.
    I don't have this issue in any other application.
    I have also tried the following:
    $ export LANG=en_US.utf8
    $ locale
    LANG=en_US.utf8
    LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8"
    LC_NUMERIC="en_US.utf8"
    LC_TIME="en_US.utf8"
    LC_COLLATE="en_US.utf8"
    LC_MONETARY="en_US.utf8"
    LC_MESSAGES="en_US.utf8"
    LC_PAPER="en_US.utf8"
    LC_NAME="en_US.utf8"
    LC_ADDRESS="en_US.utf8"
    LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.utf8"
    LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.utf8"
    LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.utf8"
    LC_ALL=
    But I still can't input accented characters.
    All of the following lines don't help:
    $ export LANG="en_US.utf8"
    $ export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
    $ export LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
    Rebooting multiple times between modifications has not helped.
    Help would be greatly appreciated !
    Thanks.

    Thanks ! I googled this issue for a while and did not find any relevant information.
    The solution that worked was in the comments to that post:
    I had to force installing the filesystem package which now provides locale.sh and after that I proceeded with installing systemd-sysvcompat which deleted the same file.
    Reinstalling filesystem solves the issue.
    Thank you, that problem was driving me nuts, was almoust a showstopper to systemd for me.

  • Deploy to web and run local issues

    hi guys!
    is it normal that when I make links and then while trying to test them(it only works on deploy to web, but the flash content that i have there doesnt displays), the links wont be working at all?
    thanks

    The Flash Player has a fairly restrictive security model. If you try to open the deploy-to-web version on your local hard drive, you will encounter this type of issue. That version needs to be run within the context of the web server. Hope that helps some.

  • Yet Another Zeroconf/.local Issue

    I'll start off with some details. This an issue at home, my router is configured to hand out the domain 'mcelheran.home' through DHCP, and it does. Using Fing (an extremely useful and handy little network discovery tool available on all platforms, even mobile), all my local hosts show up as 'HOSTNAME.mcelheran.home' as they should. But my iMac (10.9) and my Macbook Pro (10.8) are not behaving as they should, they both seem to think they have '.local' domain and everything I check on them says so, but Fing reports them as having the 'mcelheran.home' domain.
    I can't access my Macs from non Apple products, Windows or Android (SMB), they just aren't being resolved through means of DNS, using IP addresses works fine, though. And now even weirder, I think anyways, is that my Macs can 'see' my SMB shares, but only sometimes. And possibly even weirder again, my Macbook Pro used to have the 'mcelheran.home' domain, at least as far as I could tell on the machine itself and using Fing.
    So, I'd like to have everything working smoothly. I'd like to be able to access SMB shares on my Macs with my other devices, and I'd like to connect to SMB shares on other devices (mainly a 1TB NAS I have) without having to use IP addresses. If I could get all my devices to populate the "Network" in the file managers of all other devices, that would be really nice.
    Thanks a bunch.

    Yes, I am running a legal copy, I am a registered developer with Apple, I didn't think that it would be a violation seeing as how the problem is occuring on both, and the solution would probably be the same. But, I guess with NDA we can't discuss it.
    So, can we discuss the problem that I'm having with my Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion?

  • 3.0 German local issue

    Hello,
    when I open the export dialog the field for the file name is not visible (it is, but only 2 px width)
    I have to pull the window some pixels wider, then the layout changes and it is fully visible.
    This only happens with my default local settings. When I change to English with
    AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
    AddVMOption -Duser.country=USthen the field is always visible. Maybe because the text "Save as" is shorter than "Speichern unter".
    Similar problem: Tools - Preferences - Database - Object viewer -> The button to reset the filters etc is not visible in the german version without enlarging the window. Or should I say it is visible but only as [...] and it looks like a link for more informations. Perhaps it can be placed under the description.
    Regards
    Marcus

    Thanks again for the detailed feedback. The dialog box is not automatically growing for the longer length lines.
    I have raised a bug.

  • Xmlschema global/local issue(oracle10g)

    I've schema with globally declared elements,something like:
    <xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
         <xs:element name="el3" xdb:defaultTable="el3">

                   <xs:sequence>
                        <xs:element name="el3_1"/>
                        <xs:element name="el3_2">
                             <xs:complexType>
                                  <xs:sequence>
                                       <xs:element ref="el1" xdb:SQLInline="false" xdb:defaultTable="el1"/>
                                       <xs:element ref="el2" xdb:SQLInline="false" xdb:defaultTable="el2"/>

         <xs:element name="el2" type="el2" xdb:defaultTable="el2"/>
    </xs:schema>
    as you can see local element "el3" references two global elements in declaration.
    When I insert document corresponding to "el1" in "el1" table-all works as expected but when I try to insert conforming to "el3"(verified by xmlspy) document in "el3" document,oracle don't recognize "el1" and "el2" elements in context of "el3".By the way,how oracle handle situation with existent primary key in dependent table(SQLInline="false")?Will it try to reinsert element or use existent?
    An at last, <xdb:tableProps="OBJECT IDENTIFIER IS PRIMARY KEY" construction> dosen't work at all though <xdb:columnProps="primary key"> seems work as expected.
    Any thoughts?

    The only important bit in this XML schema is that the SHORTCUT element can have more than one parent element (two in this example).
    10.1.0.2.0 allowed me to register the XML schema above, but at runtime an error occurred when I attempted to insert the XML document via WebDAV. The insert works when I defined an XML Schema which uses different table names.
    Sorry for asking for confirmation - this was potentially an important implementation requirement for us.
    Just in case there is an obvious alternative implementation method, I'll briefly mention our real requirement. We were looking for a way to store our "xlink" references so that we can provide "re-factoring" capabilities for our XML documents. Our xml documents refer to each other using xlink attributes that contain relative paths (folder and file names). Our customers eventually will have 100,000+ XML documents, and therefore they are likely to wish to re-organise them.

  • Perl locale issue

    Recently I've been getting this in the terminal when running certain binaries:
    perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
    perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
    LANGUAGE = (unset),
    LC_ALL = (unset),
    LC_COLLATE = "C",
    LANG = "en_GB.utf8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
    perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
    What should I install/change to remedy this?

    Now when I try to run gtkpacman , I get this:
    (gtkpacman:14846): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
    Using the fallback 'C' locale.
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/bin/gtkpacman", line 62, in ?
    setlocale(LC_ALL, '')
    File "/usr/lib/python2.4/locale.py", line 381, in setlocale
    return _setlocale(category, locale)
    locale.Error: unsupported locale setting
    How am I supposed to find out which locale it wants? I've got en_GB and en_US iso lines uncommented, and have run locale-gen... :?

  • Routing issue with Nokia Drive on Lumia 900

    So I finally tried to use Nokia Drive on a real trip (in New Jersey, USA) and I've noticed that the software often seems stuck on returning you to the originally plotted route when you deviate from it, instead of finding the best remaining route based on the new location. I'll give details for my particular trip in case this is a local issue.
    We decided to take the NJ Turnpike to route 18 to River Road to Interstate 287 instead of 295 to 206 to 287 as Nokia Drive recommended (the routes are roughly equivalent in travel time, so I don't fault this initial route selection). When we entered the Turnpike, the new route kept trying to get us to 295 until we passed Exit 7 (In reality, past Exit 5 there isa considerable penalty to getting off the turnpike and onto I 295).
    Finally, after Exit 7 it decided we should stay on the turnpike and get to 287 directly using Exit 10 (This too is roughly equivalent in travel time, so it was a reasonable suggestion). Once we took Exit 9 to route 18 instead it picked a different route than the one we are familiar with and this is where the biggest problem occurred. The route it suggested would enter 287 North at Exit 7, while the route we took entered 287 at Exit 9. It kept insisting we get back on its rout and get on at exit 7 to the point that when we were about to enter 287 at exit 9, it told us to get onto 287 *south* and take it to exit 7 where we would exit the highway and immediately re-enter it northbound. This is rediculous and should never have been suggested.
    Am I right in my assessment that the software tries to stick to the original route instead of calculating a new one on the spot? What possible advantage can there be in doing it this way?
    Thanks in advance,
    Boris

    Here is a quite stupid example on route recalculation and how it tries to return to the route originally suggested. The recalculated route suggests that I turn right, drive a few meters and then make a U-turn. The error is not in map data itself. The other picture shows that turning left is not forbidden.
