Location of physical data

Hi,
Is there anyway we can choose where Tangosol stores its data - i.e either RAM, files on disk, or database?
Rohit

Hi Rohit,
Coherence primarily stores the data held in the cache(s) in-memory. With that said, by using the xml configuration of the caching strategies you can specify what will be used as the 'backing map' for the caches. Through this you could set up the Coherence caches to use the database or flat files for storage.
I am not sure about your specific requirements, but from the information here you may be interested in our Read-Through/Write-Through/Write-Behind to a data store functionality. By implementing your own com.tangosol.net.cache.CacheStore you can configure the cache to read values from the datastore (a database or flat file in this case). Here is some more detailed information on this strategy.

  • Dynamic Creation of Physical Data Server / Agent cache Refresh

    Scenario:
I have a requirement to load data from xml source to oracle DB, and the xml source will change at run time, but the xsd of the xml would remain same ( so I don't have to change the Logical data Server, models, mappings, interfaces and scenarios - only the Physical Data Server will change at runtime).I have created all the ODI artifacts using ODI studio in my Work Repo and then I'm using odi sdk to create the physical dataserver for the changed xml data source and then invoking the agent programmatically.
    Problem:
The data is being loaded from the xml source to oracle DB for the first time, but it is not working fine from the second time onwards. If I restart the agent, it is again working fine for one more time. on the first run, I think the agent maintains some sort of cache for the physical data server details and so when ever I change the data server, something is going wrong and that is leading to the following exception. So I want to know, if there is any mechanism to handle dynamic data servers or if there is any way of clearing the agent cache, if any.

    Hi ,
If you want to load multiple files ( same structure) through one connection then in topology create M.XSD for M.XML file
    Create three directories
RAW -- It will contain file with original name
PRO- Processing area where file will be moved one by one & renamed it as M.XML.
OUT- Once file data will be loaded into tables move the file M.XML from PRO to OUT.
Go to odiexperts to create loop,
Use odifilemove ( to move & rename/masking) to move A.XML from RAW to PRO & rename to M.XML
use ODIfilemove to move M.XML to OUT folder & then rename back to A.XML
Use variables to store file names & refresh
NoneType' object has no attribute 'createStatement' : It seems that structure of your file is different & your trying to load different files in same schema. If stucture is same then use Procedure "SYNCHRONIZE ALL" after every load...

I'm also affected by this bug in exactly the same way as you.
Some users have had success by closing iTunes, enetering (on OS 10.9) settings --> network --> edit locations, then create a new location with the same wifi/network settings. Then restarting iTunes.
Others have had some success by editing settings --> iCloud --> de-selecting keychain
neither of these fixes have worked for me.
It appears that the iPad can "see" iTunes running on my iMac because when I open settings --> general --> 'iTunes wifi sync', "sync now" is greyed out if iTunes is not running. When iTunes is started, "sync now" is enabled but just doesn't work. Nor does the iPad appear in iTunes.

  • Physical data model

We are trying to report our physical data model from Designer2000 meta data.
Actually individual reports exists within Designer showing tables, attributes.
However, we would like to have a single report, combining all tables with their text description, along with their attributes and their characteristics (nullable, type, length, domain...)
Is anybody as always did that ???
    Thanks,
    Alain

    Hi,
As you aware major part of GL is based on Chart of Account, Calander (GL Period) and Currency, you can check all tables related to these.
You can use below query to get those tables :
    select from all_tables where table_name like 'GL%' and owner='GL'*
and table_name not like 'GL_ALLOC%' and table_name not like 'GL_CONS%'
Please do refer the doc suggested by the other expert in this thread..
    Regards,
    S.P DASH
N.B : We believe you put a GL question in a wrong folder/Thread (Procurement) :).. you could have received a better response had it been in Finance folder.. :)

  • Physical Data Service to Oracle Stored Procedure Package

i'm calling a package with the following signature:
    PROCEDURE QUERY_ENTITY (

    P_USER           IN      VARCHAR2,

I've randomly chosen quite a number of things which results in the error "Relational wrapper excpetion. could not find the corresponding sql type for output parameter P_RECORDSET.

First (and somewhat unrelated) - how come the "update" errors? Aren't you just trying to read it? You should probably be using "function" instead of "procedure" in your dataservice. You should only be using procedure (XQSE) if you are updating. Not that this is related to your problem - it's just something you should know.
Now for the REF CURSOR. You need to figure out what columns are being returned, and then define a schema to match, then use that schema as the definition. If you are lucky, the REF CURSOR will actually be a cursor from selecting on a table. If that is the case, you can create a new physical data service based on that table - which will result in a schema being created with the same name as the table. Then create a new physical data service based on the stored procudure, the type of that parameter should appear as "Unknown". Edit the parameter types and specify the type in the schema that was generated for the table.

  • Data warehouse Admin Console - MySQL Physical Data Source

We have some tables on a MySQL database that we'd like to include in our ETL process. The data is to be loaded into our Oracle 11g R1 data warehouse after the transformations are completed.
Everything works with the exception of adding a physical data source in the DAC (Data warehouse administration console) for the MySQL database. There is no connection type for this database. I don't see how it's setup in the documentation.
Can someone explain what needs to be done or direct me to the docs? Or, can this be done?
Does it have to be done? The connection details are stored in the odbc.ini file on the server. So that's managed by Informatica. Will the workflow call from the DAC be sufficient?

    I would suggest this work only if you are able to connect MySQL thru Informatica;
    1) Create Connection in Worflow Manager and try to use the same connecton in sessions and try to avoid parameters from dac
    2) Create same connection in DAC pointing to Oracle or MSSQL or DB2
    3) Add tasks in DAC and do not add source and target tables
Another workaround to handling full loads using dac system variables or any other
    If helps mark

  • Changing Physical Data Source in DAC

I need to extract data from DEV2 instance of Siebel instead of DEV1.
So i have change the database name, user name and password under Physical Data Sources tab under Setup for the SEBL_VERT_80 datasource.
I have generated parameters and rebuilt the execution plan. However when I run the execution plan some tasks fail and I notice in the session log that the ETL tasks are still trying to extract data from the DEV1 instead of DEV2.
Can someone please let me know what I may be missing? How can I make DAC run ETLs against the DEV2 database?
    Thanks

My first thought is that the connections need to be reconfigured in another place.
Have you changed the realtional connections in the Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager?
Some worfklows might be configured to retrieve database connection information from there.
    - In Worfklow Manager connect to the appropriate repository
    - Select "Connections" -> Relational
    - Review the connections specified.

  • Question related to Physical Data Guard (Oracle 10gR2)

    Hi,
I have a question regarding Physical Data Guard in a RAC environment (Oracle 10g Release 2).
Say we have 4-node RAC in production and DG is also configured for RAC but number of nodes differ in production and DG. Which node in DG will apply log from production if?
    1) If there is 2 node RAC setup in DG?
    2) If there is 4 node RAC setup in DG?
    3) If there is 5/6/7/... node RAC setup in DG?
Probably, this is a very simple and basic question but your expertise would be of great help.
    Regards

Hi - Only one instance performs the recovery, but more than one standby node can be an archive log destination for the primary instances.

  • Logical Vs Physical Data Model

    Hi guys
What is the difference between logical data model and physical data model.

I assume you are talking about ERwin.
    In short,
Logical data model is non-database specific model you can apply it to any database by convert it to target physical data model.
Physical data model is database specific, for example, column data type, physical storage parameter, SQL syntax etc.

  • Moving installed location of LiveType data

Does this procedure for moving the installed location of LiveType data apply to the LiveType data that is bundled with Final Cut Express HD (version 3.0)? These are the instructions I am questioning -
    i http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93297
, because the document's Last Modified Date is a long time ago - Jan 6, 2004)
Related question - in order to uninstall the LiveType data, do I just drag the
    i /Library/Application Support/LiveType/LiveType Data
folder to the trash or are there other things I would also have to delete from my system?

    Yes it's the same.
Hold the Command key when you drag and you'll move the folder, not copy it.

Someone went through this experience? (takes more than 10 minutes).

Open a case with customer support (I think your company already has a case open for this).
This issue was reported on one specific Oracle database server - the JDBC call databasemetadata.getProcedures() was hanging - the same behavior could be demonstrated outside of ALDSP - with DBVisualizer and also a stand-alone Java/JDBC program that was provided to the customer. The DBA needs to figure out what is going on with the database.
