Log of iFS Manager actions?

Is there a log anywhere of the tasks carried out through iFS Manager? An ifsmgr user has created lots of iFS users and thinks that they have disappeared. I would like to check that he did actually create them in the first place.
Thanks in advance.
Paul Williams

Much will depend on what log level settings you have active.
If you are running CM SDK, then ANY log entries will be found in application.log under the directory $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk/application-deployments/cmsdk/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk_default_island_1
The CM SDK HTTP Node log-level setting will determine how much is actually logged.
Matt.

  • Logging in to iFS Manager

I'm having trouble logging in to iFS Manager. Logging on as Oracle works but no other users can access. Is root the only access permitted.
We've used the default username (system), password (manager) and we setup ifs schema password as ifssys.

You should be able to log in using
    username:system
    password:manager
    schema password:ifssys

  • In iFS SDK , where is oracle.ifs.management.domain.IfsServer located ?

The iFS has been properly installed and tested by DBAs and its operational. I have a requirement to develop an iFS agent. As a first step in my learning process, I am testing the examples provided by Oracle (LoggingAgent.java, otificationAgent.java). Although I have successfully compiled and tested their HellowIFSWorld, I am having trouble compiling the Examples of Agent code.
The Error on NT using Jdeveloper is:
cannot access class oracle.ifs.management.domain.IfsServer; file oracle\ifs\management\domain\IfsServer.class not found
I get a similar error on Solaris as well when I compiled the code.
I searched all of the jar files in SDK (ifs/lib/repos.jar, utils.jar, adk.jar, release.jar, email.jar, classes12.zip & the settings) for this class and could not locate it. Suggestions? Help?
    Thanks

Are you searching in the .jar files that come with JDeveloper on NT?
If so, they are probably out of date (from a previous release of iFS).
What you should do is copy the .jar files from your iFS installation
(the one that you mentioned is operational) and replace the .jar files
that came with JDeveloper. You'll probably notice that the 'repos.jar'
from the iFS installation is different (newer in fact) than the one
    from your JDeveloper installation.
When developing (whether you're using JDeveloper or any other IDE),
you should always be using the .jar files that are in your iFS installation.
Also make sure that the ORACLE_HOME in your development environment
is the same version as in your iFS installation. (Make sure that your
JDBC drivers -- classes12.zip and native libraries -- are the same version
in both the development and installation environments.)

Thank you. The information was very helpful.

  • Hierarchy used in "People in Hierarchy" screen (Manager Actions)

    Hi All
Which hierarchy is used in "People in Hierarchy" screen (Manager Actions)
    I tried the following.
Create a position hierarchy and created a security profile as follows
    View Employees - Restricted
    View CWK - Restricted
    View Applicants - Restricted
    View Contacts - Restricted
    View Candidates - All
    Organization Tab
Security Type: View All Organizations (no security) -- not adding any thing
    Positions
Position Hierarchy : Test Position Hierarchy (Name of hierarchy)
Radio button checked for "Use the User's assignment(s) as the top position.
Checked boxed checked for "Include Top Position"
Rest of the tabs are blank.
Attached this profile to the responsibility Manager Self Service through which I am accessing Manager Actions Function.
When I go to Manager Actions screen I found that both supervisory AND position hierarchy are applied. If a person is in position hierarchy and supervisory hierarchy only then it will get displayed there.
Is it possible that I can use only position hierarchy at that place.
I am on Apps R11i, Family Pack K,
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
It depends on the responsibilities assigned to employee. That means
    If an employee has
"Manager Self Service" with profile "Position Hierarchy" and "HRMS Manager" with profile "Supervisor Hierarchy", then both will be applied.
So, check and make sure that only one security profile is available at any point of time.

  • Trying to log in to manage my set top box

Well, Verizon has done it again! In the past, when trying to log in on the web to manage my box, Verizon gave the option to pick whether to use a verizon.net or a verizon.com account. I don't have a Verizon phone, so they can never figure out who I am. No matter whether I give name, address, or other qualifying information - they don't know me. Consequently, I've been successful using my verizon.net (email) credentials. Well, no they seem to have done away with the option to pick, and apparently it is going to the verizon.com credentials, because I can't log in anymore. There's no way it's worth it to get on the phone with these people; I'd rather chew glass. Any ideas?

Hello Ossa...on this particular site you can use your verizon, net user info to log in to manage your box http://www36.verizon.com/fiostv/web/UnProtected/FTVOnline.aspx
Hope this helps..Thanks for reaching out!

  • Custom Line Manager Data Role is limiting the Line Manager Actions

    Hi
I have Created Custom Data Role on Seeded Line manager role and it is limiting the Line Manager actions (I see only Promotion and Manage Directs actions)
since i cant create a New data Role on Line Manager Abstract role. I followed these steps to do the same:
    1. I have Created the 'SPS Plant Rep New' job role which inheritance the seeded 'Line Manager (HCM)'
    2. i have Create the 'SPS Tulsa Plant Rep' data role with custom person Criteria (Include some locations and Exclude some Department)
    3. i have assigned the 'SPS Tulsa Plant Rep' data role with person
    4. ran the Retrieve process
    5. Login as person who has the 'SPS Tulsa Plant Rep' data role and pick employee who meets the criteria and click on Actions, we are seeing only Promote and Manage Directs actions
but seed line Manager will have all actions like transfer, terminate, Change location, change manager.. ets but i am not seeing any of them.
my Custom Data role Suppose to restrict only people search not actions.
please refer the doc for all screenshots.
    Thanks
    Kranthi

Is this "On Site" or on Cloud ? The actions that you mention are they secured by function security  (that is with OPSS permissions) or data security restricting access on the actions on specific data ? If this is data security and you have access to the database you potentially use the Data Security PLSQL APIs to triage what the issue is.

  • Log the Container managed Transaction ID

Can I somehow log the Container managed Transaction ID (or some transaction
identifier) for the method (when I encounter some problems and I am debuging
it) or how do I get a reference to the TransactionManager object inside the
              weblogic server to fetch it.

What version of WLS are you using?
WLS 6 lets you get a reference to the TransactionManager or the current
transaction. Take a look at the JTA docs for more info.

  • Manager Actions Menu SSHR

    Hello,
I have created a mock of the seeded "manager actions" menu with most of the same functions but when I attempt to use the function in my Manager self service responsibility none of the actions available are present?  I have changed the profile "HR:manager actions" menu to use my custom manager actions menu no functions show up. Is there a reason for this?
What am I missing? I am currently using 11i.

    Dear,
Use 'Functional Administrator' responsibility. Navigate to Core Service > Menus. On this screen search for Manager Self Service. You will get the menu here. Click on Duplicate. Create a duplicate menu. Rename it with desired name. Once saved you can search for the same menu in System Administrator responsibility > Application > Menu. Just delete the prompt for functions that you don't need. Keep other as it is. Doing so, you will get all the seeded functionality in Manager Self Service.
We should never copy paste name of function and menus. We should duplicate the seeded one.

  • I've used the same apple ID for years and it is now saying it cannot find it. It won't allow me to log in to manage my account

So I am trying to get into manage my account on appleid.apple.com.  My ultimate goal is to edit my primary email address so that I can switch it over.  I no longer have access to the email address that is registerd as my apple ID.  However, when I log into manage my account, it is saying it cannot find my Apple ID, and when I try to the reset password, it tells me an e-mail has been sent and to open it to verify (it will not give me the "edit e-mail for verification" option.)  I am running into a load of problems.  Ultimately I just want to be able to have access to my Apple ID that I have had for years but now the password can't be reset, and the apple ID can't be found.  I am at a loss.

Sometimes, sites divide their content and login logic over multiple servers. In that case, the sites may not recognize that you have logged in if you block third party cookies. Can you check your cookie settings, as described in this article: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]].
During your earlier troubleshooting, did you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode to rule out an extension as the potential culprit? More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)
    Any difference?

  • Capturing the LOG OFF url click action in a Webdynpro application

    Hi,
I have this requirement where I need to know when the User logs off in a webdynpro application.
I have several webdynpro applications, each independent, and each need to do some clean up tasks when the user clicks on the LOG OFF url in the portal login.
Is there some standard event attached with the LOG OFF Url of the portal login?
And could anybody please specify when exactly would the  <i>wdDoExit()</i> method of the application view(s) or the application component controller get's trigerred when the application is run from the portal login?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Swapna Priya.

    Hi Luciano,
I was successfully able to call the RFC from wdDoExit() method of the component controller.
Also I could successfully place a custom alert call when the user clicks on the LOGOFFurl in the portal browser.
Now I have one more pending requirement for me to completely use this cycle of events.....The Portal Browser close action i.e., 'X' action.
I did find a forum link with some code for the same but i did not understand where to place that code and have already raised a reply for hte same.
    Below is the link:
    /message/230174#230174 [original link is broken]
Do you have any idea about how to trap this?
    Thanks for all your support
    Regards,
    Swapna Priya.
