Logging in to iFS Manager

I'm having trouble logging in to iFS Manager. Logging on as Oracle works but no other users can access. Is root the only access permitted.
We've used the default username (system), password (manager) and we setup ifs schema password as ifssys.

You should be able to log in using
username:system
password:manager
schema password:ifssys

  • Log of iFS Manager actions?

Is there a log anywhere of the tasks carried out through iFS Manager? An ifsmgr user has created lots of iFS users and thinks that they have disappeared. I would like to check that he did actually create them in the first place.
    Thanks in advance.

Much will depend on what log level settings you have active.
If you are running CM SDK, then ANY log entries will be found in application.log under the directory $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk/application-deployments/cmsdk/OC4J_iFS_cmsdk_default_island_1
The CM SDK HTTP Node log-level setting will determine how much is actually logged.

  • How to find required information in order to log on Business View Manager?

    After Business Object Client installation successfully, I try to log on Business View Manager, but failed. One pop-up windows(Log on BusinessObjects Enterprise) come and let me put the information as below;
    System:
    User name:
    Password:
    Authentication:
Could anyone let me know how to find the above required information? Thanks!

You need to find this information from a person who installed server part of this deployment.
System: Name of the CMS server
User name: Administrator or other user name that exist in the Enterprise
    Password: obviously...
Authentication: type of the authentication setup on the server side for the user you will be using.

  • In iFS SDK , where is oracle.ifs.management.domain.IfsServer located ?

The iFS has been properly installed and tested by DBAs and its operational. I have a requirement to develop an iFS agent. As a first step in my learning process, I am testing the examples provided by Oracle (LoggingAgent.java, otificationAgent.java). Although I have successfully compiled and tested their HellowIFSWorld, I am having trouble compiling the Examples of Agent code.
The Error on NT using Jdeveloper is:
cannot access class oracle.ifs.management.domain.IfsServer; file oracle\ifs\management\domain\IfsServer.class not found
I get a similar error on Solaris as well when I compiled the code.
I searched all of the jar files in SDK (ifs/lib/repos.jar, utils.jar, adk.jar, release.jar, email.jar, classes12.zip & the settings) for this class and could not locate it. Suggestions? Help?
    Thanks

Are you searching in the .jar files that come with JDeveloper on NT?
If so, they are probably out of date (from a previous release of iFS).
What you should do is copy the .jar files from your iFS installation
(the one that you mentioned is operational) and replace the .jar files
that came with JDeveloper. You'll probably notice that the 'repos.jar'
from the iFS installation is different (newer in fact) than the one
    from your JDeveloper installation.
When developing (whether you're using JDeveloper or any other IDE),
you should always be using the .jar files that are in your iFS installation.
Also make sure that the ORACLE_HOME in your development environment
is the same version as in your iFS installation. (Make sure that your
JDBC drivers -- classes12.zip and native libraries -- are the same version
in both the development and installation environments.)

  • Importing Class Objects created in IFS Manager into a JSP page

I create a class object using IFS Manager which consisted of extended attributes. I hope this is the right thing to do when I want to manage some extra attributes of a DOCUMENT. But the question is what package do I import to access this newly create Class Object

Thank you. The information was very helpful.

  • Cannot log in to Mobile Manager after abnormal shutdown (issue & solution)

After an abnormal shutdown of database, an attempt to log in to Mobile Manager as Administrator fails with the error "Please verify your username, password and try again!"
I had a power outage in our office and our development server shut down abruptly as a result. When power was restored, the database, listener and GlassFish Server started up automatically (init.d and rc.d), but when I attempt to log in as Administrator using Mobile Manager, I get an error "Please verify your username, password and try again!". I did some research and after some trial and error, figured out that the services must be started in this order (this may not be guaranteed in automatic startup scripts?):
    1. Oracle Listener
    2. Oracle Database
    3. Oracle GlassFish Server with Domain
If you are seeing this error, please try the following:
    1. Shutdown Glassfish domain
    ./asadmin stop-domain <domain>
    2. Shutdown Oracle database
    SQL> SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
    3. Shutdown Listener
    $ lsnrctl stop
    and restart in this order
    1. Oracle Listener
    lsnrctl start
    2. Oracle database
    SQL> STARTUP
    3. GlassFish domain
    ./asadmin start-domain <domain>
    This should work!
    My environment:
Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.4 with JDK 1.6
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition 11.1.0.1.0
    Oracle GlassFish Server 3.1.2
Oracle Database Mobile Server 11.1.0 for 64-bit Linux

    Hi mario,
    FYI
This issue can occurs when the primary and secondary Cisco ISE nodes' database are out of sync. For out of sync issues, which most likely are due to time changes or NTP sync issues, you must correct the system time and perform a manual sync up through the UI.
•For certificate expiry issues, you must install a valid certificate and perform a manual sync up through the UI.
•For a node that has been down for more than six hours, you must restart the node, check for connectivity issues, and perform a manual sync up through the UI.

  • Problems Logging In to App Manager

I just joined the Creative Cloud, but when I try to log into the App Manager on my desktop to download the programs, I get an error message saying that I'm not connected to the Internet. I've tried allowing access through my firewall, I've rebooted my computer twice, I've even tried downloading the trial of the program and I get the same error message each time. I'm obviously connected to the Internet, or else I'd not be posting here. What's going on?

I'm not on a managed network, I'm on my home network. I followed all the steps on that page.
    1. Verified basic connectivity (I'm definitely on the Internet)
    2. Verified access to secure sites (I accessed adobe.com just fine)
    3. Verified hosts file (I opened all three provided links--the one that pulls up the Adobe logos and the links for CS5 and 6, all three worked fine)
    4. Verified certificates (I went to the certificate manager, found the GlobalSign Root CA, checked the properties, everything was working there)
    5. Confirmed the program with firewall (I already added the App Manager to my firewall, but just in case I completely disabled my firewall and tried logging in again, but no result)
The result is the same as it's been for the last two days: "Unable to contact Adobe. Please connect to the Internet and try again."

  • Error trying to log into Oracle Directory Manager

I am receiving an error message when I try to log into Oracle Directory Manager. This is the first time I am trying to log in, I am trying to login with the username cn=orcladmin, and with the password welcome, which is the default. I then receive the error message "Server is not up and running". I thought I started an OID instance with oidctl.
    I am running on w2k.
I am using the default port 389, at least thats what I accepted while installing the infrastructre.
    Any advise?

    Thanks for your reply Mylenium.
OK, now I can log into my Adobe (website) account and see my purchases, serial numbers, etc. .... AND ..... I am now able to log into my Applications Manager!!
I did not do anything different from the other past few days; didn't load or download any software, nothing. Strange, but I'm glad it's back to normal now.
Figures; when I go and seek out assistance ... it fixes itself.
Thanks again ... and I hope this does not re-occur!!
