Login on to WLS with jdk 1.4 doesnot work

Hi,
I had ealier posted a question on how to debug ejb's on wls with eclipse and
was directed to this site "http://www.genuitec.com/products.htm#weblogic_jdk14".
There I found a document on how to setup WLS into debug and how to setup WLS to
work with jdk 1.4.
I followed the instructions but the password I am enetering is revoked. form
the trace given bellow the NT username taken from the profile is bk608, is it
the username for which I have to give the password or the ususal WLS management
password ? Please help.
Thanks,
Gavin.

add -Dweblogic.management.password=yoursystempassword to the java command line
when you start WebLogic. Or specify it in the startWebLogic.cmd if you use the
standard startup script:
@rem Set WLS_PW equal to your system password for no password prompt server startup.

    NO -- the first product to support JDK 1.4 is WLS 8.1. Period.

  • Cannot run BEA WebLogic 8.1 SP 3 with JDK 1.6

    Hi,
    Im using BEA Weblogic 8.1 SP3 trying to run a sample where a Robot from Kapow Mashup Server is called from a WebService hosted in the server.
    The thing is that I keep getting a EJB Exception: : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/StringBuilder (I attach the full exception below). I realised that by default the server uses the JDK which comes with the software (version 1.4) and that the class java.lang.StringBuilder is only available from JDK 1.5 onwards.
    I have JDK 1.6 in my system, so in WebLogic -> Tools -> Application Properties -> JDK Home, I set that folder but still same exception occurs.
    Through the Configuration Wizard I create a new “Basic WebLogic Server Domain” and in the step to configure the Java SDK I set the JDK 1.6 folder. However, when I try to start that server I get this error.

    Even if it is a very naive question but I just cannot get it worked, what do you mean by using jdk 1.5 on client side?
    I guess client side is completely out of WLS so the jdk to be used on the client side is not set in the environment.
    However, the Exception Im getting is on the server side, when it tries to run the code automatically generated from Kapow Mashup Server 6.3. That code is embedded in a jar file, but it seems it makes a call to the java.lang.StringBuilder class which as said before, it is only available from jdk 1.5 onwards.
    Should I contact Kapow Mashup Server support to see how the sample code is generated or I am missing something?
    Regards.

    Hi.
    This is definitely not supported, and I don't know that any work is scheduled in the future
    to support this JDK on WLS 5.1.
    Having said that, I was able to start WLS 5.1sp12 with JDK 1.4 with no errors. I didn't

    i understand that during installation of j2ee engine i can specify jdk versions such as 142_09 etc. but i have a specific issue with the dbpool service provided by the j2ee engine. since the engine is itself built with jdk 1.3.1, it doesn't and couldn't support some of the jdbc apis introduced since jdk 1.4.
    so i'd like to know which version of j2ee engine starts to be built with jdk 1.4?
    if anyone has nw 2004s installed, could you pls check your version.txt file and let me know what the "Build java version" is?
    kind regards,
    wentao

    Hi wentao
    check the version from following.
    http://host:j2eeport/sp
    login with administrator user.
    exand server node ->j2ee->version information click
    under task click on run u get the current version .

  • Can't read load RSA public key with JDK 1.4.2_08?

    We have been using Bouncy Castle's provider to provide RSA encryption and decryption of a login name and password for several years ... with JDKs in the 1.4.2 series up through 1.4.2_07.
    Recently, however, Sun released JDK 1.4.2_08, and suddenly any of our Java Web Start client applications are unable to successfully load the public key that we use to encrypt their login name and password before shipping it to the server for authentication with the 1.4.2_08 JRE. But, if we revert back to 1.4.2_07, everything works again.
    This public key itself has been in use for several years and the same code to read the public key has been in use for a long time ... including multiple versions of the BouncyCastle provider and all versions of the JDK up through 1.4.2_07. But suddenly things appear to break with JDK 1.4.2_08.
    This smells like a problem with JDK 1.4.2_08 so I thought that I'd check on this forum to see if any other Bouncy Castle users have experienced this problem. Is there anything further that I can do to check this out? Has any Bouncy Castle user successfully loaded a RSA public key from a byte stream with JDK 1.4.2_08? Or have people using other providers seen any problems reading similar public keys with JDK 1.4.2_08?
    The code that is failing on the client side is:
    try {
       encKey = new byte[this.publicKeyInputStream.available()];
       this.publicKeyInputStream.read(encKey);
       spec = new X509EncodedKeySpec(encKey);
       keyFactory = KeyFactory.getInstance("RSA",  "org.bouncycastle.jce.provide.BouncyCastleProvider");
       myPublicKey = keyFactory.generatePublic(spec);
       return myPublicKey;
    catch (Exception e) {
       e.printStackTrace();
    }The stack trace that I'm getting includes ...
    java.security.spec.InvalidKeySpecException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: invalid info structure in RSA public key

       at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.run(Unknown Source)
       at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)While it clearly indicates that it thinks that there is an "invalid info structure in RSA public key", I believe that nothing has changed in the structure of our key ... and this same key still works properly if I revert to JDK 1.4.2_07.
    Any thoughts or insights?
    Thanks,
    John Shott

    Look on one of your bank statements and be sure to enter the billing address exactly as it shows on the statement. Some folks forget where they actually get the statement. They put their home address in iTunes/Mac App Store and they actually get the statement at their place of employment or vice versa.

    A problem regarding set up of Oracle Lite 3.6.0.2.0 on Win 95, with JDK 1.1.8 and Java 2 SDK ( Ver 1.3 Beta)
    After the installation of Oracle Lite 3.6.0.2.0 on a laptop (with WIN 95 OS), When I run Oracle Lite Designer from start menu, I receive following error message :

    ====================================
    My ORACLE_HOME is c:\program files\ora95_2 and Oracle Lite is installed under the ORACLE_HOME in LITE\DESIGNER directory.
    JDK version is 1.1.8 which is greater than 1.1.4 installed in c:\program files\jdk1.1.8, My PATH, and CLASSPATH are set in AUTOEXEC.BAT as follows:
    set CLASSPATH=c:\Progra~1\jdk1.1.8\lib\classes.zip;c:\progra~1\ora95_2\lite\classes\olite36.jar;c:\progra~1\ora95_2\lite\designer\oldes.jar;c:\progra~1\ora95_2\lite\designer\swingall.j ar

    And, I can run JAVA.EXE from any directory on command prompt.
    With JAVA 2 SDK (ver 1.3 Beta) instead of JDK 1.1.8 I'm getting a different Error message as follows:
    =============================
    java.lang.NoClassFoundError: 'FILES\ORA95_2\LITE\DESIGNER\oldes.jar;C:\PROGRAM'
    Please make sure that JDK 1.1.4 (or greater) is installed in your machine and CLASSPATH is set properly. JAVA.EXE must be in the PATH.
    ==============================
    the PATH and CLASSPATH were set accordingly, as with JDK1.1.8, and there was no classes.zip in classpath
    also the class file or the jar file looks weird or wrapped in the error message : 'FILES\ORA95_2\LITE\DESIGNER\oldes.jar;C:\PROGRAM'
    Another interesting thing I noticed is if I run oldes.exe from Installation CD, the Oracle Lite Designer runs fine, and without error, I'm able to modify tables in the database of my laptop also.
    Could someone shade some light on what am I doing wrong here ?
    Thanks for help in advance .
    Regards
    Viral

  • Performance problems with jdk 1.5 on Linux plattform

    Performance problems with jdk 1.5 on Linux plattform
    (not tested on Windows, might be the same)
    After refactoring using the new features from java 1.5 I lost
    performance significantly:
    public Vector<unit> units;
    The new code:
    for (unit u: units) u.accumulate();
    runs more than 30% slower than the old code:
    for (int i = 0; i < units.size(); i++) units.elementAt(i).accumulate();
    I expected the opposite.

  • Is it possible to run OAS 10.1.2  with JDK 1.6 ???

    Well on the one hand we have Oracle ADF BC application that was developed with JDeveloper 10.3.4 and runs fine on OAS 10.1.2 JDK 1.4 on the other hand we have a 3rd party Map Server (servlet + java code) that is black box and only runs on JDK 1.6 because it needs JDK 1.6 features.
    Currently the only available course of going forward is to introduce a new open source 1.6 compliant server to run the Map Server and use AJAX to cross domain communicate the two. Client would like to avoid this, would like one application on one server.
    Restrictions are
    1) To get the Map Server in JDK 1.4 format is not an option and
    2) Upgrading to a Oracle Server that is JDK 1.6 and supports the ADF BC application is not an option. And not sure if OAS 11 can run the ADF BC application since I did a quick test by trying to compile the ADF BC application JDeveloper 10.3.4 code in JDeveloper 11 with out any success.
    So to my question if I could run OAS 10.1.2 JDK 1.6 it might solve the problem before i attempt that I like to ask the ideas of others that might have faced such integration issues before.
    This is urgent any help is welcome by anyone and everyone and especially the Gurus.
    thanks in advanced health and happiness to every one

    AFAIK, Oracle AS 10.1.2 is not certified with JDK 1.5 or higher.
    Oracle AS 10.1.3 is certified with JDK 1.5 and 1.6 on some platforms. (Check metalink.oracle.com -> certify for details)
    Oracle FMW 11.1.1.0.1 (aka WebLogic 10.3 plus JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.1) is certified with JDK 1.6
    Not certified means use it on your own risk - no support.

  • How can I login to CQ Cloud with an Adobe email

    I am an adobe employee and I created my adobe ID with my Adobe email. Then I login to CQ Cloud with this ID. After I input my email and password, it told me:"you will be receiving an email shortly from Adobe with a link to login with your Adobe ID credentials." But I never received this email and for this reason, every time I closed the "note", I need to sign in again to CQ Cloud. Is there anyone can help me?

    The first time that you contact adobecqcloud.com you will receive a 'Thank You' welcome page. The generation of that page will initiate a process to provision you. Once you have been provisioned, you will see the Clouds Dashboard as the first screen (instead of ThankYou).
    If you are seeing the ThankYou page for more than 24 hours then there is a problem in our provisioning process. If that occurs, please send email to [email protected] and include the adobeid that you are using to log in. This information will enable us to troubleshoot the issue. We can also manually intervene in order to get your access set up quickly.

  • Issue while installing ODI 11.1.1.6 with JDK 7u

    Hi All,
    I am working on installing ODI on windows 64 bit. I downloaded lastest web logic server files, ODI files and JDK files from oracle site..
    I installed Web Logice server with no errors but when I tried to install ODI by running the setup.exe it was giving me an error:
    "Error: Provide the JDK/JRE Location while launching the installer. Invoke the sertup.exe with -jreLoc <JDK/JRE Location absolute path>Parameter(s)".
    So, I looked in to JDK file and noticed that it is an old file and need to be updated so I installed "jdk-7uf-windows-i586.exe". After installing when I try to setup ODI, I am still getting the same error..
    It is asking me to provide the location but I am not srue where to provide the location.. I know the location for JDK i.e. C:\Program files\Java\jdk1.7.0_04 but I am not sure where to provide this location for ODI..
    Thanks a lot!

    2 things must be noticed:
    First: ODI 11g is not supported by JDK 7, I always use the JDK1.6.0_27 and works fine. When you try to open the ODI Studio, this message appears, telling that ODI is supported only with JDK 6 versions, so don't try to use JDK 7.
    Second: I always install the JDK in a path without spaces, like "C:\JDK1.6.0_27\" and the excatly same thing to odi install files. So I call via Command Prompt:
    C:\ODI_INSTALL\Disk1\setup.exe -jreLoc C:\JDK1.6.0_27\
    I did over 20 windows installations using these settings, it'll work perfectly.
    Regards.

  • 9.0.4 compatibility with jdk 1.5

    Hi,
    Please do let me know if Oracle AS version 9.0.4.1 is compatible with jdk 1.5.
    What is the jdk version compatible with 9.0.4.1?
    Found the following in the Metalink -> Certify
    In general, Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4, 10.1.2.x and 10.1.3.x) support using JDK
    extensions higher than one the product originally shipped with. On 9.0.4, it is possible to move from JDK 1.3.1_06 to extension JDK 1.3.1_07 or beyond.
    Does this imply that 9.0.4 is certified with JDK 1.5?????
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sindhiya V.

    desuported? Can you post a source for this?
    9.0.4 is not certified with JDK 1.5 and will not be. AS 10.1.3 is the first release that is (as far as I know).
