Logout Button/Default Tab Questions

Greetings,
I have two questions. Where does one set the logout URL so that it will go to a different page than 1.
Secondly,
I have a series of tabs in my application. I want to give the same URL to all that access this app, but the tabs are setup in an authorization scheme. If the user isn't a developer, they see only 1 tab, and unfortunately not the default one, so the only tab that they have isn't active, and they have to click it to see their subtabs (the downside is that they also see the subtabs under the default tab (which isn't there now because they aren't a developer)). How would one set the focus to a different tab based on their group (in this case "execs")

I think I see what you are getting at. Is it possible to test immediately upon someone entering a page if they are a member of a group and then redirecting them to an accessible page for them?
In this case, I dont want them seeing that page at all. I thought by simply removing the tab (and by inheritance the page associated with it) that I could keep them from seeing that page. That is obviously not the case. All I keep them from seeing is the tab, and rather than it spitting out an error because they aren't a member of a group, I just need to shuffle them off that particular page to another. (Hope that made sense).. :)

How can I specify the default tab in a CHM Output?

My company uses CHM-based help for some of its products. We build the CHM files from RoboHelp 9, and while these CHM files don't really have a full Index attached to them, the Index tab shows up in the output anyway. Unfortunately, we are suddenly seeing that when the CHM file is launched from our program, the Index tab is displayed by default. We'd rather have the Contents tab be the default look, especially considering that the Index does not exist.
I have poked around into how you can specify a default tab for a CHM file, and the only information I have found suggests that using a CHM file creates a file (HH.dat) that specifies which tab should be displayed on a user-by-user basis, and that the last tab displayed when you close the CHM should be the first one displayed when you re-open it. While this is true if you open the CHM independent from the product, when you launch it from our program, it's all Index, all the time.
So, my question is: How can I specify the default tab for a CHM file? Or, failing that, how can I excise the Index tab from my CHM output.

This will be something up to your application developer to resolve. When s/he issues the call to open the CHM, there are parameters that may be used to always open with the desired tab "in front".

Set Default Tab For A Step

We have a system that has been installed at a couple of affiliate sites in Japan and Romania (we've been developing in Australia). It runs on TestStand 4.2 with supporting code written in LabVIEW 8.6 (although the Romanian site uses TS4.2.1 and LV2010). We have numerous custom steps in a types palette file.
One of the sites has complained that when they add some specific steps (custom Numeric Limit Tests, in particular) to a sequence, the tab shown in the Step Settings pane is the "Limits" tab. It would be more convenient and more useful to show the Edit tab (the one that shows the buttons for the Edit sub-steps).
I realise it's just a matter of clicking on the relevant tab. I also realise that once a file is saved, the last-selected tab is shown for each step when it's re-opened. However, the customer is always right, so I need to see if it can be "fixed".
Is there a way of setting the default tab for a custom Numeric Limit Test step to something other than the "Limits" tab?
Help files, Google and the NI pages don't seem to be forthcoming on this issue.

i wonder that i cannot find a logout method somewhere. I have read about an exit plug, but how to fire exitplug of a windwow from the view ?
And how to do a normal logout button which logs out the user and start the webdynpro application again and go to the login screen ?

Use Exit Plug in Windows:
Do the following steps :
-> Make an Outbound Plug to the Window.
->Make the type of Outbound plug to Exit Type.
->Add CLOSE_WINDOW of type wdy_boolean as a parameter to the outbound plug of Window.
->Do remember to add Component Name in the Properties Tab of View ( othervs Calling Outbound plug of window from view wont be possible ).
->Fire the outbound plug with close_window as X in the onAction of Exit Button .

Hi Hannah,
Inspector > Text > Tabs Button > Tab Settings > Default Tabs.
To set a tab stop on the go, click in the ruler.
If you can't see the ruler, Menu > View > Show Rulers.
To set tab stops for lines (paragraphs) you have already typed, select those paragraphs and set them all at once.
Also, have a look at Menu > Pages > Preferences > Rulers.

Change documents for DEFAULTS tab in su01

Hi all!!
Somehow SPOOL CONTROL option-> output device for a user changed(under SU01--> DEFAULTS tab) in my Production system.
Question> can i find out change documents for DEFAULTs TAB in SU01 for a user ID?

In fact I was believing the same.
I was wondering if we could add one new column to sap standard tables which will store any change documents specific to defaults tab for users. But no idea how lengthy this could be!!
Any suggestions???

CRM Survey - How to remove Radio button defaults.

I am trying to remove Radio button default. By default it is selected when I am trying to set attribute for answer options. Even if I unchecked, it reverts and set as selected again. Actually, I need remove Radio button default for the customer sees a response pre filled.

Hi,
I see it now.
You need to change the config of your radio buttons in the transaction itself.
Goto CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, locate your survey, click on the change button ( a pencil) this will take you to the survey configuration.
There navigation to the section in the left hand pane that corresponds to the radio buttons. And you will see Yes and No for answers to the questions. Double click on each of them to display on the right side work area and change the property 'Selected' (which is a check box) to unchecked.
This should be easy.

I’m trying to create a custom button on the main

They haven't been checked as Solved, it's an option for you to choose one if the answer has solved your problem. You can mark one answer as Solved, and two as helpful. Only you, as the originator of the topic, can see these buttons.
Sorry for the goofed answer. Most people are looking to set the margins and I looked over that you were interested in the tabs.
To save tabs in fixed positions that will appear with every new document, you must modify the default template. You can't open the template from the desktop. If you do, it will open as a standard document. You must open it from the Open dialogue box from within Word. With Word in the foreground, press Command+O and navigate to:
/Users/your_account/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/
Open the file Normal.dotm
Set your tabs and save the file. Close the template. All new documents will now open with those preset tabs.

Webdynpro logout button - clear session

     I know this has been asked multiple times, i found many thread on it but none solved my problem.
I need a logout button which cleans up user's session in my application, so that when the user logs in next time, the user is forced to enter the credentials again(login screen).
Current state of applicaiton:
I have created an exit plug , which is triggered when clicking a href button in my application. This works fine as it comes out of the applicaiton into a blank screen.
In the applicaiton node(SICF), i have included the java script code.

     The application logs in automatically when i relaunch the application (user not prompted with login screen).

     The application remains logged in if the browser tab is closed, but the instance window is still open.
It works as expected if the user closes the window completely..As required, It will ask the user to enter the credential on relaunch.
I want the user to be prompted with login screen everytime user logs off with the exit plug.

Set as default tab doesn't save

Because it shows the name of the last poster, I would prefer to have Overview as the default view for forums I visit. (I would hope that the names of the OP and last poster will be reinstated as soon as possible for all page views. As many others have already mentioned, this is very useful information to have.)
For some reason, only in 10.4 Tiger does Overview remain as the default. (And, I don't remember even having to use Set as default tab for the Tiger forum to remain in Overview. It has just always appeared that way.) With any of the other forums I frequent, even if I click on Set as default tab for Overview, if I leave that forum and return it always reverts to Discussions view. It doesn't save that view.
In addition, Set as default tab doesn't even appear as an option for several of the forums I visit.
Is this a bug, or do I need to know something about making the save work?
Unless it's some setting I'm missing on the Personalize/Widgets page, I don't see anything I can use there. I already have browser bookmarks for any of the forums I visit.

Problem designing the logout button i.e. the front end jsp

Hi,
my project is an intranet project and starts with the login page. From my login page I am directed to manager, or supervisor, or accountant page where I am needed to perform certain duties. After I am done I need to logout. My problem is that I do not know how to logout and where to place the logout button.
Will the logout button be on each of the manager, supervisor, accountant page or will it be on the manager page and its sub pages and so on.
Also I do not know how to configure this button. Should this button be linked to a controller servlet that will destruct the session and redirect the control back to the login page or this follows a different mechanism.
Do we need to create a frame. Put the logout button on the static side and on ther dynamic side display the pages ie the supervisor, manager, accountant.
Please help me as I am new to jsp and I am not able to visualize this.

I am wanting just one tab on my document, but there are many popping up that I believe are default tabs. I am trying to delete them in inspector but it is not letting me. Any tips???

Select the text you want to apply your tab to and set the tab on the ruler by clicking on it.
In the absence of any specified tabs the tabs will jump to set intervals on the ruler.
