Lookup Up Column allows Title but no Managed Columns held in Lookup List
Hi
I am building a number of lookup lists to help with the way content is stored in a list..
Now, if you create a straight lookup list say with text columns. Then you can select Title (key) and additional fields in the dependant list settings, when creating a lookup column that points at the lookup list.
Now, if I want to added managed metadata columns to the lookup list then I am unable to select these as additional columns in my dependant list - not the end of the world but I am bound to be asked for them by my users.
Ok I guess this a restriction due to the nature of the way terms are stored e.g "#id term name" . However, I wonder if there is a workaround - I thought of giving on of these a try unless the advice was to the contrary :

Hi Daniel, yes, that's a pain when you can't access certain types of columns using a lookup. There are other ways of doing what you want, but I found the best way to accomplish it is to either use a workflow to copy the information into a text column or
use InfoPath.

Thank you. I have heard of Logic Pro 7, but I have never personally used it. I'm still growing in the world of Composition, and I know that it is something I will be studying in one of my Computer Music classes coming up for my degree. I think it is something I will look into getting once I can justify the price of it. I guess for the time being, I will continue to play and grow in my ability to use and take advantage of GB, and then see what I can do about or with Logic Pro when I'm ready. The thought of spending $1000 for a program is hard to bite, because I've already spent a lot to produce my music, not only electronic music, but also chamber music and so on. I had no idea it would be so expensive to dive deep into the world of composition! lol.

Thank you for your input, as I haven't really worked much with LP, and therefore didn't know which features are available. I will talk with some of my Composition buddies, and professors and see what they have to say as well, and who knows, I may be able to get the express version through one of them. -
All of a sudden most of the song titles under the "NAME" column in itunes is incorrect. When I click on the file name it plays a different song but it points to the correct song elsewhere on the list. Also it shows the correct song name at the top of the screen. Is it possible to get the files under the NAME column to point to the right song? This is happening on my PC windows 7.

I'm actually trying to find the date i visited a site. adding columns allow the order to be sorted but not show a date. Please tell me it there's a way to see the date. the sidebar no longer has the option for date. the most recent only shows the time.
If you only see the time then that would mean that you see an entry of the current day (today).
History items from past days should have the date as well in the Most Recent Visit column.
You should be able to see this changing if you open the last 7 days folder and scroll down. -

I prefer to arrange my photos by title but when I shut down Iphoto, my photos rearrange by date. This is not acceptable for my growing library of snanned black and white ancestral photos. How do I get photos in events to stay in place ?
I actually am illiterate on the use of the finder to to view photos in folders. I guess I will go to a class at the local Apple store for a lesson on the uses of finder .
My method of viewing my photos are through events in I photo.
1. Download from camera or scan in from old photos.
2 I organize photos into events by occasion, or happenings in a certain year, or a group of photos with memorabilia of a certain person from childhood and on. etc.
3. Because Iphoto does not allow rearranging as I was able to do in my old PC with Corell, I drag all of the photos to an " album" on the left side of sceen.
4. I arrange photos in "order" after which I number each photo in sequence. I do this for a few of reasons.
- if a photo is accidentally deleted I know it. I can usually remedy this by checking my trash or
rescanning.
- I can sort by title without complications and this holds in "album"
5. The pictures will re arrange automatially to match the album in I photo.
6. This worked great in I-photo 09 but now in mountain lion the pictures in events go back to "
sort by date" and will not hold "sort to Title"each time I photo is closed down. What a nuicance it is to have to go to view and click "title" again and again every time Iphoto is opened.

Help on BPM Steps (Lookups are not allowed, so only BPM)
Hi Experts,
Please help me to design the BPM for the following process (A mandatory rule is Lookups are not allowed so I must finish this with out using lookups.)
Step1. We get a file from FTP, Once we get the file, We need to get the next unique identification number from a webservice(a sync call, As per our rule, u201CNot to use lookupsu201D).By the way there is no relation between the data fields for the FTP file and this SOAP call, i.e. the SOAP request is having constants as inpput.,but once I receive the file then only I need to make a call to get the next unique identification number.
Step2. Once we receive the unique identification number from the SOAP call, I need to merge this identification number with the file (I have received from the FTP in STEP1) and then needs to send to a RFC which is a sync call again and it returns a logical number.After getting this logical number then only go the next step(The returned logical number means a confirmation for us,i.e after getting the number just go to next step)
Step3. After getting the logical number from RFC, I need to send the obtained unique identification number( Of Step1, Webservices Unique identification) to another FTP as asynch.
This one is easy when we use lookups, but we have a condition u201Cnot to use lookups!u201D so please suggest me the steps(BPM) to do, which donu2019t let the BPM down.

Receuve(FILE_ABS_Async)->Transformation(ToPutConstantsInTheSOAPReq)->SyncSend(SOAP_ABS_Sync)->Transformation(Needed, format will be 2:1; will have FileMSG_&_SOAPResp as source MSGs and RFCReq as target MSG)->SyncSend(RFC_ABS_Sync)->Switch(To Check if the RFC Logical Number does not exist...if it does not exist then in the condition branch of the Switch put a Control Step (action as Cancel Process)->If RFC Logical Number present then otherwise branch will be executed( nothing to be placed in this otherwise branch)-->Transformation(SOAPRespMSG of SOAP Sync step into FILE message format)-> Send(FILE_ABS_Async)......
Wherever you have sync send steps put them in a block and insert an exception branch in that Block....in the exception branch put some logic which will be executed when there is an error in the Sync Call.....so your BPM wont fail even if the Sync Send fails.....

Planning Layout KP75 - Max 30 columns allowed in the layout

I am trying to create a Planning layout(Excel Upload for KP26) in Transaction Code KP75.
But when i am trying to create the columns, it is giving the error message that "Max of 30 column are allowed in the planning layout".
But my requriement is to have around 40 columns.
So is there any way that we can extend the max columns allows to 40.

First - thanks for your help.
Closing this out - here is what I learned:
1) Needed to ensure my server was Kerberised and that Kerebos was running correctly
2) Local users have precedence over network so I need to ensure I don't use the same short name. While using the "id" command you may be able to see the network user ID, the local of the same name appears to take precedence.
3) Using the "kinit" command useful for confirming Kerebos is working correctly
4) Home directories created - had already done this but what finally got this working was stopping and restarting AFP Service.
So was able to successfully login to Mac Client using OD username and password - it mounted the network home share just fine on the client, loaded preferences etc.
Now on to create network users with Mobile Accounts for my laptop users - wish me luck -
I have used Illustrator CS3 on my two try or three previous computers. Now I try to install Illustrator CS3 on a my new (4 weeks old) computer. Adobe does not allow me, but demands me to proof myself being an owner of Illustrator CS2 or older. Change URL of Edit column and Title column link that appear on AllItems.aspx

In the below snapshot. I am trying to change the URL of the Edit column and Title Column. By default when click on Edit Icon on each item, it opens the EditForm.aspx for that item. Similary by clicking on title of an item, it opens DispForm.aspx.
I need to change it to my custom forms, CustomEditForm.aspx and CustomDispForm.aspx . Could anybody please suggest if it can be done by any Jquery or using SPD
I know I can change the default forms from SPD.
I don't want to change the default forms. Because for some users I need to show them default forms. for some users I need to show custom forms.

We have installed HCM and CRM modules on Fusion Application 11.1.7 version.
This is 2 node architecture ie IDM components installed in one node and Fusion components installed in another node.
We are able to start the IDM components and Fusion components successfully, but when users are trying to access any task from Fusion application home page, they are getting the below error

Learning to use lookup transformation - match value in one of two columns
Im a little new to using lookup transforms. Been reading a bit, but using two columns is throwing me off.
Have a dataflow with the source having a column I want to use to lookup in a table in another DB. The match could be in one of two columns in that table.
If a match is found, I need a different value from the lookup table added to the source flow that is going into the destination.
How can I match on one of two columns in the lookup table, and use a totally different column added to the final input going into the destination ?
In the Lookup configuration, I can set the lookup operation to replacing the value in the source, but I want EITHER value match from the two columns from the lookup table to go into the value that will go into the destination.
With TSQL - I would use a case statement and compare the source column to BOTH of the lookup table columns.You can handle this within single lookup using below query
SELECT CASE WHEN <condn1> THEN Field1 ELSE Field2 END AS lookupField,
CASE WHEN <condn1> THEN Field3 ELSE Field4 END AS MatchField
FROM Table2
Then just do single relationship with LookupField and select MatchField to be aded to output
the condition will specify your fields value condition based on which you determine which column to be matched against

Unfortunately, I don't think it is possible to add columns to this particular window. I had a requirement to do this a while back in SBO 2005A SP1 and I ended up designing my own pick and pack window.
