Losing changes in LabVIEW 8--bug report

Don't know if this has been reported yet or not but it was driving me crazy making my coding changes evaporate until I started realizing it wasn't me.
To reproduce:
Create a blank project and a new VI
Add FP.Open VI Property node with a False Constant
Run the VI
All changes will be LOST
After nearly going mad and tracking down the root cause, I find the newly added note:  "National Instruments recommends using the Front Panelpen [or Close] method instead of this property."
So you can try that too if you want, which has the same results:
Create a blank project and a new VI
Add FP.Close Method
Run the VI
All changes will be LOST
*POOF*  If the VI was an Untitled new VI that hadn't been saved, it will just vanish from the project list.

You're correct. I forgot one step to make the, "This
is
how we close instances of VI templates opened to avoid the Save
dialog." statement true. The VI must open a reference to itself and
pass that to the Node to avoid the Save dialog. 7.1 does indeed pop up
the Save dialog if you just have the Node set to close.
So now the question is, did NI intentionally change this or not. I've
found other changes that I thought were bugs that they intentionally
changed. See this thread for one of them.
I'll see if I can get the attention of an AE to look into this.
BTW, I do hit (Ctrl+S) before I run anything because I've had LabVIEW dissapear when I hit Run.

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.

  • How do I file Bug Report? Labview FPGA

    I'm not sure if this is a software bug or what, but I'm trying to run the Analog Input example project for Labview FPGA , in "Find Examples >> Hardware Input and Output >> R Series >> Basic IO >> Analog Input - R Series".
    The thing is, it works.. mostly..  I manage to send in a sine wave, and see it.  However, every now and then, when I set teh Waveform Graph X-axis to autoscale, and change the Update Mode, every time I put it into mode Scope Chart, it freezes my computer, and I have to physically power off my computer and power it back up (which i'm not happy about).  I'm using the default settings for the example, my card is in RSE mode, input signal at 25 Hz, 4V p-p
    I doubt anyone can guess why this is happening, but is there any way to file a bug report?

    1... Adding an unrelated question to a 3-month old post is not the best way to get your questions answered.
    Start your own thread next time.
    2... The example works fine for me.  The EQUALS function works just fine for strings.  Be aware of some things, though:
    Case matters.  If you want to ignore case, then uppercase both strings (or lowercase them) before comparing.
    Length matters "X" is not the same as "X ". "123" is not the same as "1234".

  • Bug report: vpn (ipsec) interface number in snmp always change

    Hi,
    this is a bug report for RV082 hardware version 3 and 4, firmware version 1.x, 2.x and 4.x (all latest versions). I hope someone from cisco/belkin reads it.
    Summary:
    The snmp interface number of a VPN Tunnel change when the VPN tunnel disconnect and then re-connects.
    What should happend:
    The VPN Tunnel number 1, should always have the same snmp interface number. In RV082 v4, this number should always be 10. For example, the LAN, WAN1 and WAN2 always have the same snmp interface number.
    What is the problem:
    The VPN Tunnel number 1 change the snmp interface number, from 10, to 11, to 12, etc.
    How to reproduce:
    create a VPN Tunnel using 2 RV082 or 1 RV082 and 1 RV042. Once the VPN Tunnel is connected write down the snmp interface number. A few days later, disconnect the cable of block internet access. Then restore the internet conection and write down the snmp interface number, you should note that the snmp interface number have changed.
    Tools used:
    PRTG Network Monitor
    Please take a look at the attached image, note all the "ppp" interfaces, theres only 1 VPN Tunnel (gateway-to-gateway) defined.

    Hi Tom,
    many thanks for your reply.
    I see that I have to call Tech-support, in order to report a very technical situation, explaining them this is a bug report and I want them to make a better product.
    Since I won't pay a dime for this problem to be fixed, I can only see pain in this path(calling to speak with a tech support representative).
    I also readed that Belkin has bought Linksys, so I don't know if the RV082 will remain with Cisco or will go with Belkin.
    So, my only hope is to document this bug, that is pressent inall firmware version and hardware version of the RV082 as of today.
    many thanks for your help,
    regards,
    Oliver

  • How to submit a bug report for OSB? - restore fails if number of items per page is changed from the default of 30

    In the OSB web gui, one of my users found that if the number of items per page is changed from the default of 30, the restore of the file will fail.  He tested this using recent versions of Firefox and IE.  We have verified this to also be the case using Chrome.
    In a directory containing over 100,000 files, moving 30 at a time to find the one to be restored is a very frustrating user experience.
    How do I file a bug report for this issue?  Is there a workaround for this bug to enable my users to more easily find the file to restore without being restricted to the default of 30 items per page?

    Yes there is a bug in the webtool in the current release. You can use the commandline obtool to do the restore, that is much faster and works fine.
    Thanks

  • Bug report: on LabVIEW 2011 SP1 and Windows 8 'Open URL in default browser.vi'

    Dear colleagues,
    Here is a bug report.
    Culprit: 'Open URL in default browser.vi'.
    System: Windows 8, Professional. LabVIEW 2011 SP1.
    Abnormal behaviour and steps to reproduce:
    Above mentioned VI doesn't work when LabVIEW was started with administrator privilegies. And it works as expected when LabVIEW running in normal (non-administrator) mode.
    Looking forward to see this fixed.

  • Bug Report ignored: Palettes do not resize when changing monitors

    So this bug was ignored during beta and it was NOT fixed in the official release of PhotoShop CS6.
    Since I don't feel like retyping the whole bug report after paying a grand for the software here is a link: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4316521
    VERY annoying if you commute with a laptop and dock with a full-size monitor for work every day!
    Any word Adobe?

    Not that Photoshop should ever allow its panels to become impossible to resize, but...
    Have you considered just setting up named workspaces for each environment, then switch them manually using the box in the upper-right of the Photoshop main window?
    Given the ability to maintain workspaces fairly directly, Adobe may not even feel this is a bug.

  • Solaris8 and 9 (possibly 7) /dev/poll driver bug report.

    Hello,
    I'd like to report a bug in the solaris 8 and 9 /dev/poll driver (poll(7d)).
    As i do not have a support account with sun or anything like that, there
    seems to be no other way to do that here (which is of course a very sad
    thing).
    Bug details:
    The /dev/poll device provides an ioctl-request (DP_ISPOLLED) for checking
    if a particular filedescriptor is currently in the set of monitored
    filedescriptors for that particular /dev/poll fd set (open /dev/poll fd).
    A quote from the documentation of the poll(7d) manual page taken from
    Solaris9:
    "DP_ISPOLLED ioctl allows you to query if a file descriptor is already in
    the monitored set represented by fd. The fd field of the pollfd structure
    indicates the file descriptor of interest. The DP_ISPOLLED ioctl returns 1
    if the file descriptor is in the set. The events field contains the
    currently polled events. The revents field contains 0. The ioctl returns 0
    if the file descriptor is not in the set. The pollfd structure pointed by
    pfd is not modified. The ioctl returns a -1 if the call fails."
    It says that when you query for an filedescriptor which is currently being
    monitored in the set, that it would return 1, and change the events field of
    the pollfd structure to the events it's currently monitoring that fd for.
    The revents field would be set to zero.
    However the only thing which actually happens here, is that FD_ISPOLLED
    returns 1 when the fd is in the set and 0 if not. When the fd is in the
    set, when FD_ISPOLLED returns 1, the events field remains unmodified, but
    the revents field gets changed.
    A small sample code to illustrate:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <unistd.h>
    #include <sys/types.h>
    #include <sys/stat.h>
    #include <fcntl.h>
    #include <sys/devpoll.h>
    main() {
    struct pollfd a;
    int dp_fd = open("/dev/poll", O_WRONLY);
    a.fd = 0; /* stdin */
    a.events = POLLIN; /* we monitor for readability, POLLIN=1 */
    a.revents = 0;
    write(dp_fd, &a, sizeof(a));
    a.fd = 0;
    a.events = 34; /* filled in with bogus number to show malfunctioning */
    a.revents = 0;
    printf("DP_ISPOLLED returns: %d\n", ioctl(dp_fd, DP_ISPOLLED, &a));
    printf("a.fd=%d, a.events=%hd, a.revents=%hd\n", a.fd, a.events,
    a.revents);
    According to the documentation of /dev/poll and namely DP_ISPOLLED this
    program is supposed to print the following:
    DP_ISPOLLED returns: 1
    a.fd=0, a.events=1, a.revents=0
    However it prints the following:
    DP_ISPOLLED returns: 1
    a.fd=0, a.events=34, a.revents=1
    You can take any number instead of '34' and it will simply remain untouched
    after the DP_ISPOLLED ioctl-request.
    I hope it's clear now that the solaris8 and solaris9 (and probably solaris7
    with /dev/poll patch too) DP_ISPOLLED implementation is broken.
    This bug is also easily illustrated by looking at the solaris8 kernel sourcecode:
    <snippet osnet_volume/usr/src/uts/common/io/devpoll.c:dpioctl()>
    case DP_ISPOLLED:
    pollfd_t pollfd;
    polldat_t *pdp;
    if (pollfd.fd < 0) {
    mutex_exit(&pcp->pc_lock);
    break;
    pdp = pcache_lookup_fd(pcp, pollfd.fd);
    if ((pdp != NULL) && (pdp->pd_fd == pollfd.fd) &&
    (pdp->pd_fp != NULL)) {
    pollfd.revents = pdp->pd_events;
    if (copyout(&pollfd, (caddr_t)arg,
    sizeof(pollfd_t))) {
    mutex_exit(&pcp->pc_lock);
    DP_REFRELE(dpep);
    return (set_errno(EFAULT));
    *rvalp = 1;
    </snippet>
    its' clearly visible that the code writes the current monitored events to
    the revents field:
    'pollfd.revents = pdp->pd_events;'
    and that it doesnt set revents to zero.
    It's funny to see that this has been like this since Solaris8 (possibly 7). That means nobody ever used DP_ISPOLLED that way or people were simply to lazy to file a bug report.
    Another funny thing related to this. is that Hewlett-Packard did seem to know about this. Since HP-UX11i version 1.6 they also support /dev/poll. From their manual page i ll quote some sentences from their WARNING session:
    "The ioctl(DP_ISPOLLED) system call also returns its result in the revents member of the pollfd structure, in order to be compatible with the implementation of the /dev/poll driver by some other vendors."
    Hopefully this will get fixed.
    I also like to reexpress my very negative feelings towards the fact that you're not able to file bug reports when you do not have a support contract. Ridiculous.

  • Bug Report: The keyboard focus doesn't automatical...

    Bug Report: When a conversation window opens, the focus doesn't automatically land in the chat entry text field.
    Since the new interface for Skype was introduced officially in Skype 7.0, there is a bug with the system/keyboard focus for a new conversation window. When Skype is in "Split Window View" and each new conversation automatically pops up in a separate window, the system/keyboard focus doesn't land in the chat entry edit field. Instead, the user has to press Shift+TAB a couple of times, to move it there and reply to the chat message received. This especially problematic for screen reader users, who rely on keyboard navigation. This mainly occurs when a new conversation is started with an incoming message, but it sometimes occurs when moving the focus out of that conversation window and later back in it again (while it is still opened).
    Steps to reproduce it:
    1. From "View" menu, activate the "Split Window View", if it is not already enabled.
    2. From Tools -> Options -> IM & SMS -> IM settings, enable "Open a new window when I receive a new message in Split Window View", if it is not already enabled.
    3. From Tools -> Options -> Advanced, activate "Enable accessible mode", if it is not already enabled.
    4. Activate the "Save" button, to save the changes.
    5. Close all windows, related to Skype. You may keep only the main window opened.
    6. Tell someone to send you a chat message. When the message arrives, Move the system focus to the conversation window in question, preferably with Alt+TAB. The system/keyboard will not land in the chat entry edit field as it did in Skype 6.21 and earlier and as it should by default, but in some unknown place in the window.
    7. Move the system/keyboard focus in the chat entry edit field and keep it there.
    8. Switch to another window, preferably from another application.
    9. With Alt+TAB, switch back to the window of the opened Skype conversation. There is a chance that the system/keyboard focus will not land in the chat entry edit field as it did in Skype 6.21 and earlier and as it should do by default, but again in some unknown place in the conversation window. But that is harder to reproduce.
    Test environment:
    - Operating system: Windows 8.1 Pro N, 64-bit, in Bulgarian with all locale settings set to "Bulgarian".
    - Skype version: 7.0.0.102 for Desktop.

    This is a known problem, but Skype have not given us an estimated time for a fix.
    Traditionally, Skype updates have been roughly monthly, so we are due a new version sometime soon. Many of us here are hoping that is has a bunch of fixes for the UI, the focus problem being one of them.

  • Bug report: 3.2; DAC; GridControl; Navigation - Invalid reaction to mouse drag

    Hi,
    This is a bug report, I think.
    I have a one-column GridControl with mandatory column. Normally, DAC framework prohibits from navigation out of empty field and emits one of those DAC-1002 or DAC-603 errors. The only exception I noticed was a double-click on another row. In this case navigation allowed but an error is still produced.
    Today I was playing with this GridControl and discovered that I can drag the yellow frame across rows. And here comes a bug - GridControl doesn't change the current row on InfoBus according to current selection marked by yellow frame.
    In my case it brings the following problem: if the cursor is placed on the new empty row, user drags the cursor to another row and then tries to use any other navigation means except dragging, he gets a navigation error. DAC framework still thinks that the current row is the empty one and produces an error telling that the attribute cannot be empty.
    Dev Team, any comments?
    Regards,
    Vladimir

    Hmm... Nobody answers. I'll try another variation of the same question.
    DAC framework implicitly validates attributes on the base of Mandatory constraint in the Entity Object definition. Is it possible to set the level of this validation? For example, I want to conduct validation only when user navigates out of the row or the whole rowset, but not when he just leaves a field.

    Vladimir

  • Bug report, Beta 2.12 Standard Edition

    Bug report: redundant, confusing, and apparently erroneous calls to
    jdoPreClear
    and jdoPostLoad. Note in output the null name in the third iteration.
    Hi,
    A lot of information being sent. Sorry, but I think you'll find it
    helpful. I expected the exact same sequence of calls to jdoPreClear
    and jdoPostLoad on the 2nd and third iteration. In fact, since,
    retain values is true, and no changes are being made, I expected that
    jdoPreClear and jdoPostLoad would not be called at all on the 2nd and
    3rd iteration.
    David Ezzio
    Using 2.12 Beta, standard edition
    Business method uses one PM. Configured to datastore transaction,
    retainValues == true, non-TR == false, and non-TW == false.
    The business methods open a transaction and leave it open.
    The client calls commitTransaction() to close the open
    transaction.
    Two persistent objects, Widget and Box. Each implement
    InstanceCallbacks and put out a message in jdoPreClear ("will be
    made hollow") and in jdoPostLoad ("has been made persistent-clean").
    The Widget has a reference to its Box. The number in parenthesis
    is the sequence number obtained from the object ID.
    Business methods implementation:
    public ArrayList getWidgetsByName(String name)
    Transaction trans = pm.currentTransaction();

    Abe,
    Actually, it doesn't make sense. The first iteration shows
    jdoPostLoad is called just prior to using the fields of Widget and Box.
    After the commit, the instances are not cleared. So far, so good.
    In the second iteration, we see that jdoPreClear is called, but
    jdoPostLoad is not called. Yet the values are there for use during the
    call to Widget.toString() and Box.toString() within the iteration. How
    did that happen?
    On the third iteration, now the value of name is null, but last we
    looked it was available in the second iteration. Other than that, I
    agree that the third iteration looks ok, since it is being cleared and
    loaded prior to use. But in the jdoPreClear, the values should be there
    since the values were used in the previous iteration and are not cleared
    at transaction commit due to retainValues == true.

    I believe the behavior you are seeing to be correct. Section 5.6.1 of
    the
    JDO spec outlines the behavior of persistent-nontransactional instancesused
    with data store transactions. As you can see, persistentnon-transactional
    instances are cleared when they enter a transaction; thus the calls to
    jdoPreClear. When the default fetch group is loaded again (like whenyou
    access the name of the widget) a call to jdoPostLoad is made.
    You are seeing the name of one instance as 'null' in the third iterationof
    your loop because the instance has been cleared in the second iteration,and
    the jdoPreClear method is not modified by the enhancer (see section10.3).
    Make sense?

    BUG REPORT FIRMWARE 5.1.7  PLEASE FORWARD TO SUPERVISOR.
    The spa-3102 has the following two bugs.
    When the unit sends a hook-flash to the fxo port it:
    a)      does not send the hook flash to the fxo port  for PSTN Hook Flash Len:  Instead it uses a very short pulse of about 100ms or 1/10 of a second.  It should honor the PSTN Hook Flash Len configurable parameter of .2 – 1.5 seconds.
    b)      Does not change the line voltage from –7 (off-hook) to –48(on-hook) during a flash-hook to the fxo port.  Instead it varies the voltage only by about 2.5 volts.
    This was reported as early as June 07 to linksys support.  It is reported they agreed and would fix in the next firmware release.  There is info that firmware 5.2 being released and is this fix in 5.2 and how can I get it.

    Although the problem is still not solved, at least I now know WHY the problem is happening... and Apple's Firmware Update is NOT to blame!
    Through a series of coincidences, I was actually lucky enough to get in touch with the engineers in Apple's Airport firmware division, and they were helping me to nail down this problem.
    Turns out that Apple takes great PRIDE in the fact that they are one of the VERY FEW manufacturers who make routers that behave properly in this regards: they SPECIFICALLY test for their Airport Extreme routers to allow you to connect to servers behind the NAT by way of the public WAN IP address of the NAT box. This is the way that apparently the NAT/DHCP specification is SUPPOSED TO WORK! You're SUPPOSED to be able to connect this way, if you so desire.
    So what was causing the problem on my network, then?
    Something I hadn't thought about... the Vonage Linksys RTP300 router that we're using for our Vonage VoIP service. Turns out that this router does NOT support clients behind the NAT connecting to servers behind the NAT by way of the public WAN IP address.
    Linksys is to blame, not Apple!
    And apparently, this feature may have actually been working in an earlier
    firmware update, but apparently, Vonage AUTOMATICALLY pushes firmware
    updates to RTP300's, apparently without user notification:
    <http://www.vonage.com/help.php?article=1066&category=90&nav=5>
    And a forum thread on vonage-forums.com seems to indicate that the 1.00.60 firmware in the RTP300 started getting pushed to customer units on or before 1/26/06, making it less than a month after Apple shipped the 5.7 firmware update for AirPort Extreme Base Stations:
    <http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic10915.html>. So if the problem cropped up then, it's possible that I accidentally attributed it to Apple when really the RTP300 got a firmware update around then too which may have broken this feature (assuming it was working before then).

    When the UI is in multi-window mode and a conversation window pops up (due for example to a newly received chat message), that window steals the system/keyboard focus, even though it appears in a minimized state in the Windows taskbar. And this should not happen by default, because it is impractical (especially for screen reader users). And it didn't happen in Skype 6.21 and earlier. But since the new UI was introduced officially in Skype 7.0, it started happening constantly.
    6. Move the system focus to another application.
    7. Tell someone to send you a chat message. When the message arrives and the conversation window pops up minimized in the Windows Taskbar, everything seams to be as it should. A few seconds after that however, the system/keyboard focus gets moved to that new conversation window, even though it is neither restored/maximized (it is minimized), nor it is visible on the screen (except as a button in the taskbar).
    Actual results:
    When a new conversation window pops up in the Windows taskbar, it stills the system/keyboard focus to itself from the currently focused application.
    Expected results:
    Skype's popping up new conversation windows should not still the system/keyboard focus to themselfs from the currently focused application.

  • Bug report: ube_ipa: internal error when compiling with -xO5

    When compiling imlib2-1.1.2, one source file causes compilation to fail with the following error message:
    ube_ipa: internal error
    cc: ube_ipa failed for loader_tiff.c
    The command which fails is (probably wrapped):
    cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I.. -I../src -I../loaders -I../libltdl -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/openwin/include -I/opt/csw/include -I/opt/csw/include -I/opt/csw/include -g -fast -xarch=386 -xstrconst -v -xildoff -xO5 -c loader_tiff.c -KPIC -DPIC -o .libs/loader_tiff.o
    Changing -xO5 to -xO4 works around the problem. The source file in question is imlib2-1.1.2/loaders/loader_tiff.c
    Patch 112756-10 has been applied, and doesn't correct the problem. GCC doesn't have any problem compiling the file.
    A quick note to any Sun employees reading this: it took me 45 minutes to find somewhere to submit this bug report. Searching sun.com for "submit bug report" turned up many forum postings where people asked "Where do I submit bug reports?", a bug report form for Sun One Java Studio, and not much else. It might be in your interest to make submitting bugs easier.

    Internal errors, such as the one you encountered, are generally considered compiler bugs. They indicate that the compiler reached an unexpected state and therefore bailed out. I opened bug 20703141: internal error: pic_relocs(): hh reltype? to investigate. I see the same error message emitted by the current Studio development release; I will update this thread if I find a work-around.

  • Solaris 9 x86 bug report - el_GR.ISO8859-7 & CDE

    I'm posting this article here, because I can't find any official Solaris 9 x86 bug report page. I hope the developers will notice it. I'm using Solaris 9 x86 (12/02), with the latest 9_x86_Recommended patch cluster installed, and support for Greek installed too.
    It seems there is some kind of problem, when trying to view text files with Greek (el_GR.ISO8859-7) characters, which were created under Windows. To be more specific:
    If I boot at CDE with language el_GR.ISO8859-7, and try to view a .txt file (just with a simple double click), which I have created under Windows, with Greek characters,
    the screen goes black, and the CDE login screen appears again (restarts). If I keep the Greek language or change the language to US English, I can boot at CDE again, with
    no problems. If I try "command line logging", the screen goes off - just like when the computer is powered off, and I can't do anything, (well, except pressing the reset button, that's the sure way). And if I use the "init 6" command, while being logged at CDE, from a terminal, the Graphical Desktop exits, and then, the screen goes off again (just like the computer is powered off), but finally the computer manages to restart.
    I'm using the Sun X server, NOT the XFree86 porting kit and I use the entry
    :0 Local local_uid@console nobody /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -dpsfileops
    in /usr/dt/config/Xservers file, to start the X server.
    Here is the $HOME_DIR/.dt/startlog file:

  • The new Synaptics UltraNav: a few workarounds and minor bug report.

    I only wanted to file bug report, but then decided to also share what I did with my touchpad configuration to make it more convenient for me. I have Thinkpad T540p so this might work differently or not work at all for other notebooks.
     #1 Regedit
    Configure as much as you can using UltraNav tab in mouse settings dialog. (It is mostly self-explanatory.)
    If you didn't find some option, start regedit (using Win+R) and navigate to
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Synaptics\SynTP\something
    This something is TouchPadSMB2c on T540p but you can find one you need by changing something in settings dialog and looking for changed values in regedit.
    All the touchpad configuration registry keys are there. You need to relogin to apply changes made there.
    But it might take a lot of trial and error to find out how these registry keys work.
    #2 3-finger tap
    As for me, I prefer tapping over clicking. While 3-finger press option is in settings dialog, 3-finger tap is not. But you can change it.
    Set whatever option you want for 3-finger press. Then go to regedit and copy value from 3FingerPressButtonAction key to 3FingerTapAction.
    #3 Button sizes and locations
    You can change button bounds with keys like LeftButtonZoneX where X is L for left, R for right, T for top and B for bottom bounds. 0xFFFFFFFF ultimately means "unlimited in that direction". For finding other values defaults might be helpful. Trackpoint buttons keys are SlaveSomeButtonZoneX.
    What for?
    First, trackpoint buttons can cover the whole trackpad only when trackpad itself is disabled. By changing button sizes manually you can overcome this restriction. It is useful because trackpad does not respond well to pressing corners and when buttons cover it all you can press it somewhere in the middle.
    Second, the same corner pressing problem exists for normal trackpad buttons so it is more convenient to use multi-finger taps or clicks. You can still hold trackpad pressed with one finger and use yet another finger to move mouse pointer.
    At the same time when you tap or press with multiple fingers and one of them touches one of the buttons you get that button pressed instead of whatever you intended. It frustrated me a lot when I got context menu popups while trying to close chrome tabs with middle mouse button click. The solution is to set top bounds for left and right buttons to zero.
    BUG (With the latest UltraNav drivers from support page)
    When the middle trackpoint button (used for scrolling) is enabled, it is always enabled, no matter if you are using trackpont or touchpad. Left and right trackpoint buttons are properly disabled when you don't need them.
    Even if you disable trackpoint completely without disabling that middle button first, it will remain enabled and will do nothing. (Blocking single- and multi-finger presses that touch it.)
    I could not find a way to fix that problem with regedit.

    Any problem can get official response and follow-up through a SR on Metalink/MOS (if you have a DB support contract), else you can post here and hope someone from development picks it up.
    Regards,
    K.
