Lost my HD from Finder
I have a Hitachi 1T external HD that connects to my MB Pro via USB. Until the other day accessing the HD was as simple as plugging in the USB cable and opening the drive in Finder. The other day, my HD no longer appears in Finder, though I can see and access the HD via Disk Utilities.
Is there a way to make the HD re-appear on Finder?

Try going to your finder page, click on finder, then click on Finder preferences, click the General tab.
Make sure that show items are clicked, External disks

I just accidentally deleted an item from the Finder sidebar, under the "Devices" section. I don't know what it was but I think it may be important. Is there any way to find out?

Don't fret too much about it. The Finder Sidebar is just one way to access items on your Mac. Items can be added and removed from the sidebar all day, but they still reside on your hard drive.
To see how it works in 10.8 (not sure about 10.6) select an item, a file on your desktop for example and press ⌘T. The item should now display on the sidebar.
To remove a sidebar item, press ⌘ while you drag the item from the sidebar and it will disappear in a puff of smoke.

Not unless you installed and activated fiond my iod on the ipod BEFORE it was lost AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi, THEN you may be able to get an approximate street address.

How do I get my ringtones back on my phone?
I lost my ringtones from my phone when I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4. The ringtones are still on my computer and play in iTunes, but they won't re-transfer back to the phone. I'm using the correct iTunes account on both my computer and phone. In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
Any advice would be much appreciated.Ignore. I figured it out:)

My phone was run over. It still works enough to see some of the screen but not the number pad. I cannot unlock the phone because I activated find my iphone. How can I unlock the phone so I can save my photos? Is there a way to unlock it from find my iphone. It was not backed up in iCloud. When I plug it into my computer, the computer tells me that I have to unlock it first. Help?
No I haven't synced my iPhone with the computer I'm currently using. The computer that I normally sync my iPhone with is being repaired.

Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

If the device is still lost, then you can't change/remove a pasword remotely. Otherwise please describe your issue in more detail. Note that the Find My iPhone App is not the same thing as the Find My iPhone service - which do you mean?

Your images are truly no longer present on the hard drive(s)? Have you had your operating system do a search for them?
If such a search fails to find them, here's what I would do, in order
Look in the trash can/recycle bin
Restore from backups
If you don't have backups ... well, why not? ... find a program on the internet called an "undelete utility" (free versons are available) and then download and install it and run it. If you are going to do this, then do not perform any other tasks on your computer except find the program, download it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), install it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), and run it. In the future, you will need to commit to making regular backups of your photos and of your Lightroom catalog file, no excuses.
If that doesn't work, but the thumbnails still appear in Lightroom, you can probably recover the thumbnails from Lightroom via a plug-in, but these would be low-resolution versions of your photos, if you really need instructions on this step, write back -

when i try to recovery my notebook i get error message which say notebook can't recovery using the image recovery
so i tried again and again but the same thing
so i decided to search about that
after days of searching i knew what is the wrong
the problem is i lost 5 files from my recovery partition and i know their names
so what i need is , that any one who have the same notebook "dv6-3170ee" , he/she can go to his recovery partition and uploading these 5 files to me
i know i ask for a big thing

Here's an alternative option you may want to consider.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
You can create an installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the exact same version that originally came with your notebook ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
