Lost - stolen iPhone and iOS7.03
Hi all !
So my girlfrien did it, she lost the iPhone 4S I just gave her a few weeks back, running iOS7.03 with an icloud account set up, but with localisation features disables (She's paranoid on being tracked).
I had Prey installed on it as well, but I'm not getting any reports from them.
So the question is fairly simple : with the proper identifications, is there any way to activate the "Find my phone" features remotely ?
I think I'm going to kill her ;-)
these features, like find my iphone on a map, lock my iphone, play a sound on my phone, will be exeecuted the very next time it goes online. so if you put your iphone in lost mode, and its turned off... and someone changes the sim on it.. the very next time it connects, it will be locked, and tell you where it is..
with the old find my iphone the phone had to be online to be located.
with the new find my iphone .. i think this was in ios 6.. the phone responds to all find my iphone requests the very next time it connects.
dont wipe it remotely unless you are sure you can't get it back, because it disables tracking
if you wipe it remotely, the iphone will be bricked and be pretty much useless to anybody that finds it. i think it will still show a messagee on the sreen saying this iphone has been lost please call me.. etc. etc..
wipeing your phone remotely using find my iphone /icloud will keep it logged on to your icloud account and the phone will be totally locked out to anybody to finds it..
wiping your iphone with the phone in your hands, will erase the phone and log you out of icloud.com automatically, enabling you to sell/give away your iphone to a new person

you've lost you're phone, you can report it stolen but i doubt they will find the person, or if you had insurance use that. there is like a 1% chance you will find it. &like someone else said, the theif cant use it if it had a passcode lock or without your apple id and password

Unfortuantely, you can only track the phone if you had set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost or stolen. I don't believe there is anything that Apple can do to locate your phone either.

I lost my iPhone, and its Connected with my icloud acc but its turned off from the iphone , so I can find the iphone on the device list but its Offline all the time , my Que is if I put erase and the one who stole it tried to Reactivate it what will happen ?

Lost my iphone and located it on the map, using the find a phone app. The second I had the location the phone went offline. Apparently, whoever has it knows how to disable the find a phone feature. Do I have any alternatives? Can AT&T or the police track the phone?
ATT won't unless they are asked to do so by the police and unless a major crime is involved, the police won't request this just for a stolen phone.
If the iPhone is running iOS 6, sounds like you didn't have the passcode lock feature enabled. Nothing prevents someone from powering the iPhone off and the same for removing the SIM card. -

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords, especially your Apple ID/iCloud password NOW!
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be re-activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored. -
I lost my iPhone and my photos aren't appearing on iCloud
I just moved to the UK and I have my macbook, my British iPhone 4 and my American iPhone 5 all here. I had iCloud set up on all devices. I have been using my British iPhone 4 but recently it was lost/stolen so I cancelled the sim and blocked the phone (so it will reject all UK sim cards unless I find it and undo that action). I luckily downloaded my photo stream to my mac tonight but all my photos from a recent trip (that I assumed would be backed up on iCloud) didn't download; however, all my photos from my American iPhone 5 are... why aren't both sets of photos there? Is there any way for me to recover the photos from my lost/stolen iPhone 4??Thank you for your help.
~VWIf they were on the phone when it was last backed up, restoring the backup should recover your camera roll photos. If the backup is in iCloud, you would have to restore the backup to your another phone in order to recover them. You could do that by backing up your iPhone 5 to your computer using iTunes, then restore the backup of your other phone (see iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud), import the recovered photos to your computer (see Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support), then restore the iTunes back to your phone to return the current data and settings to it.

I have lost my iPhone and it has stated that it is offline. I received an email that stated it went online and activated play a sound and lost mode. So I went into iPhone app and it says offline. Is there any way to find ?
Not unless it goes back online. If it was stolen it may have been restored, in which case it will never appear again in Find My iPhone.

Have backed up your iPhone with iTunes to a computer? Then you can restore a replacement iPhone from this backup, and this with also restore the camera roll. The iTunes backups will contain the camera roll.

Unless you had enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost then there isn't any way to locate it (it can only be turned on directly on the phone, it can't be done remotely). If you did enable it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPhone disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -

iCloud is only available in Lion, 10.7. You will have to upgrade to Lion in order to get into iCloud. If you transfered a .mac or .me address to iCloud through mobile me, or you have another device iCloud enabled, then you can log into the iCloud.com website.

If you removed the device from your iCloud account rather than using the "Stop Lost Mode" option, then you will most certainly need to restore the iPhone, and that will require a computer running iTunes.
