I have a MacBook with 2GB Ram and a larger internal disk drive. I did not want to pay the extra $600 or so for a MacBook Pro as you are only getting a slot and a nicer screen (LCD on Pro as to Plasma on MacBook). So, I bought a nice screen that I keep in the bedroom and I am able to work on it quite well and the price for the VERY NICE LED great big screen is inexpensive to say the least. So you can have the portability along with the nicer things for your MacBook. Also, there is not a super limit to the number of tracks that you can use with LE8 on a MacBook configured this way. I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

iPhones have NEVER paired with laptops except for the sole purpose of tethering. Have you read your Mercedes operating manual and made sure the Command is in pairing mode?

You can sync photos and videos to your iPad via your computer's iTunes.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If the videos are films that you want to go into the Videos app then you first need to add them to your computer's iTunes library via File > Add To Library, and you can then use the Films/Movies tab to select and sync them

we installed lync2013 server on windows 2012 server .Windows client working perfectly without any problems but we have some MacBook pro (maverick) with lync 2011 installed (14.0.8) .Mac clients can log in , make Instant messaging but can not make audio and
video calls at the moment.When I had done some logging on lync server , I ifigured out the following error message which is

You can do as following steps in the link:

If you mean "can I play a video file's video part via AppleTV and the audio part via the Macbook" then the answer is no.
You could probably play the video on AppleTv and also play it on the Macbook and output the audio, but you would have to do this manually, and 2 applications accessing the same video file might cause stuttering playback issues. Additionally you'd have to manually sync the audio and lip sync problems are annoying at the best of times.
If you mean "can I watch a video from AppleTV and play separate music via iTunes on the Macbook", then the answer is yes.

if anyone is familar with successfully getting the older macbook pros that dont support audio out to stream and preform digital audio on a TV or has any helpful information that will get me familiar with trying to successfully stream audio and visual. and can PLEASE HELP ME in any way to understand what they know and teach me how to solve my problem id really appreciate it.
i want to connect my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) to my Hisense LED LCD TV, ModelNumber:40H3E and getting digital audio sound from my TV as well as video, but have no clue on how or where to even start to successfully pairing the two and getting sound.

With a 2009 MacBook Pro, you need to use two connections to your TV: one for video and another one for audio. The miniDisplayPort on the 2009 models does not support audio, so you need a separate audio cable:
miniDisplayPort adapter for video - I use the Apple miniDisplayport-DVI adapter + a DVI-HDMI cable like this one
audio cable for audio - use a 3.5mm male stereo-to-2xRCA male cable like this one
Connect the miniDisplayport adapter + DVI/HDMI cable to your MacBook Pro's miniDisplayPort output and the HDMI input on your TV
Connect the audio cable to your MacBook Pro's audio out and your TV's audio in
The only potential gotcha is if your Hisense TV requires audio via the HDMI cable when you use an HDMI cable. The H3e user manual is unclear about this.

Trying to record Stereo Mix with a monitor through my headphones. Using Screenium to record Audio and Video, using Avid MBox Mini with MXL 909 Microphone for the audio through the interface.

Basically, what I am trying to do is this:
Record my screen through Screeenium, record my voice as audio through an Avid MBox Mini (interface) with a MXL 909 microphone to pick up the audio. I have all that figured out. I'm able to efficiently record my audio and screenplay through these instruments and programs. What I am having trouble with is the stereo mix. I am running into a slew of problems here... My goal: Add on the audio of a game that I am playing (for example, Amneisia) so that the audio for my game will be picked up internally, and not through the speakers to be recorded through the microphone. I want there to be no external sound except me talking into my microphone. I also want to be able to HEAR the audio of the game through my headphones (and if possible, myself as well, through a monitor maybe?)
Problems I have run into so far:
-Haven't gotten it to pick up in game audio at all while using headphone. Can't figure this out
-Downloaded soundflower, have the output as soundflower. Not picking up anything, will put all my sound and midi settings at the end.
-When I do record through my microphone, it is only picking up a single channel (left earpiece only, no right channel)
-I have figured out it is NOT the equipment, I use Pro Tools and am able to pick up both channels with my mic, recorded a few tests. It's settings and I can't figure it out
-Trying not to run 16 million programs while running the game, will cause lag.
Summed up:
Trying to record:
-Audio from gameplay of any game I am playing through alternative route of speakers (do NOT want to record game audio through speakers, internally)
-Record voice through Avid MBox Mini and MXL 909 microphone.
-Record screen gameplay through Screenium
I followed a guide that told me to achieve "stereo mix'' I need to download soundflower and follow "X" steps. That is done and these are my current settings:
Audio Midi Setup - Stereo Mix custom Aggregate Device, Soundflower (2ch) selected, Avid Mbox Mini selected, Soundflower Output #1 has 2 channels (1-2), using Avid MBox mini for "Input" in order to record. Using Soundflower AND Avid MBox mini as "Output" in order to hear the sounds and replay game sounds (could be the problem? Maybe?)
Sound Settings - Output Stereo Mix (custom channel) Input Avid MBox Mini (recording)
I'm hoping this isn't too hard to understand.. I'm VERY bad at explaining information regarding computers.. It's hard becuase I don't understand it. I can clarify anything that I am able to, so any help on finding certain things would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to do some research and it looks like you need to have an external device and its drivers, such as an external microphone, installed on the computer to record audio that can be saved as a sound file. Another Suggestion is to try an auxiliary spliter for your headphones and external speakers?
What software are you using to record your game?
If anyone knows anything different, please let me know.

I had a lot of trouble with audio and video files on my PC. I

MacBook Pro, which is a big improvement. But I still

encounter files that I can't use. I try to open them, but
Apple doesn't
know what to do with them. For example, I often encounter
unusable
videos while perusing news websites. I also have some audio
files with
.mva or .mvw extensions that don't work.
So what viwers/players do I need to download in order to be
able to play
every audio/video file that comes my way? iTunes handles .mp3
files, and
I also have QuickTime installed. I just viewed another video
after I
installed a Flash plugin. What else do I need to install?

(rare?) Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI.

Hello there,
My problem: Until today, I've been working with all my projects without any problems with my configuration, but today I've turned on the computer and when I play any project (including a new project with one or two audio tracks or the SAME PROJECT that i've been working the last night), 3 or 4 seconds later I get the fantastic and typical error from logic and an apparently more slow performance loading projects...
everytime... play, and error...play (or pause) and error...
"Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI.
Sample Rate 41347 recognized.
Check conflict between Logic Pro and external device."
and sometimes... (randomly)
"System Overload. The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time."
... and I haven't touched anything / no updates / no setup changes... NOTHING.

- I have a motu ultralite mk2, but i've tried with the built-in audio too, and I'll just get the same performance.
- I've tried with the lacie hardrive on and off and with projects in the internal hardrive and others with all the audios in the external.
The funny thing is that i've been working in a project this last night and all PERFECT, and now its impossible work with it, and I haven't changed anything.
PLEASE, any help? I'm confused and I need to finish some works...

If the MOTU unit has a reset procedure, unplug it from the Mac and do it now. That's simialr to what the older 828MkII units used do when they needed to be run through the reset procedure.
It can be caused by a Firewire/USB glitch or power surge when powering up the computer.
p.s.
As a side note, I remember that same error.....
"Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI. Sample Rate 41347 recognized."
From Logic 3.5, it's been around for that long, with different sample rates of course.
Back then it was from bad audio drivers.. it's difficult to pin down some of these errors as they can be caused by different things.

IPad iOS 4.2 and Macbook Pro airplay

Hi all,
I currently have installed on my iPad iOS 4.2 beta 2, which includes the ability to stream audio and video to devices such as the airport extreme and Apple TV.
I have recently purchased the second generation Apple TV and am loving it so far.
I have two questions:
1. My iPad at the moment can stream audio to the Apple TV, but not the video as shown in the keynote presentation of the Apple TV, will these abilities become available when the full version of iOS 4.2 comes out or am i doing something wrong?
2. My computer at the moment won't stream any audio from the videos that it is playing through either the Airport Express or the Apple TV, which i find weird considering that the iPad can do it.
Will this also be available when the iOS 4.2 comes out? because i would love to be able to listen to the movies that i play through the good speakers instead of just on my macbook.

it is audio only at the moment.
however you should be aware that as you are using the beta you are under NDA, and should not publicly discuss it.

Mini DisplayPort to support both audio and video coming soon?

So I notice that Apple updated the MacBook Pro Mini DisplayPort implementation to support BOTH audio AND video.
Think this will make it’s way to the Mac mini soon, or an update still a long way off?

Probably in the next refresh, but the mini was refreshed twice last year, so another refresh in less than a year would probably be too much for which to hope!
