Macintosh SE trying to make them live!

HI! I'm having problems with my Macintosh SE. This amazing mac still works! But it has a problem the mouse and keyboard it's not recognized. I think it was a long time ago I had one bad mouse and for some reason make the mac have a problem. So whrn I power up it's all fine! But can't use the mouse or keybord. Maybe the ports are dead? Is there any way to sove this?
In the other hand, I have found a friend that has a Macintosh SE very very similar to mine! He give it to me as a present but the OS it not working it has the diskette with the question mark. Maybe the hd it's dead.... Don't dont know.... But the good news it's that the mouse it's moving! So maybe the ports are good. Any idea if I can use them in my other Macintosh SE? The diskette of this one it's also dead I think, I try to insert a 800K diskette but it's not even fix well inside..
amy ideas what can I do with both macs? I would love tI make them alive (or at least 1 of them)

Regarding the second Macintosh SE, do you have access to an external SCSI hard drive (with an appropriate operating system) that you could connect to the SCSI port? That would allow you to boot the computer even if a floppy disk cannot be read.
As you know, the floppy icon with a flashing question-mark means that the machine cannot locate a valid system folder. Are you sure that the 800K (DSDD/2DD) diskette is OK, and that it contains a system suitable for the SE? Also, if needed, you can find information on the Internet about cleaning/repairing a floppy drive. It may also be worth resetting the PRAM and checking the logic board battery voltage.
If nothing else helps, it may be possible to swap parts between the two computers.
A warning: Opening a compact Macintosh computer can be very dangerous because of high-voltage circuits in certain areas, and must only be carried out by someone with the necessary expertise. Charges can remain in the CRT and in various capacitors for a long time after the computer has been turned off and disconnected from the mains.

Switched website servers, now DW won't make changes "live"

Last week, our IT person switched our website's host. She moved our organization's website from eCommerce to eHosting. Ever since then, whenever I make changes on Dreamweaver and drag them over to make them "live," the changes do not appear online. I think something went wrong in the communication between Dreamweaver and our website's new platform. What can I do to make sure Dreamweaver is hooking up with the website and making all of my changes visible to the outside world?

First I would get your IT guy to get you the number of support at your new host. It could be you need to re-configure site definitions or some permission since it involves e-commerce.

What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
General steps:
Remove the following files to the trash:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > iPhoto (if present)
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > NetServices (if present)
Macintosh HD > Library > Receipts > iPhoto (anything with iPhoto in the name)
Macintosh HD > Applications > iPhoto
Insert the iLife install disk you have or the Applications disk that came with your computer and reinstall iPhoto: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2604
Once installation is complete go to the Apple > Software update and repeat this until no additional updates are offered.

themes are blank when trying to make a card in iPhoto. Cards appear blank/white, no patterns, no detail. Tried re-downloading the latest update of iPhoto but no difference. Any ideas?

Controllers in the same WISM module in the 6500, i'm trying to make one of them anchor controller for guest internet

I have 2 controller in the same WISM module and I'm trying to make one of them Anchor controller for guest WLAN, but when I give put the anchor controller in a separated non-routed VLAN and connect it to an outside switch by creating VLAN 192 on the core. ( the Internet router is connected to the same switch).-it is showing path down... ( VLAN 192 visitor Internet and VLAN 224 my internal controller management VLAN are not talking)
there is no routing between these 2 VLAN ( because of security), but i can't get the controller to communicate.
-if I connect my laptop to this switch I'm able to go out on Internet but my visitor WLAN is not able to get IP address from the router connected to this switch.
- I called Cisco and one the guys told me that i can leave the management in VLAN 224 for the controller to communicate ( which they did), but the issue I'm having right now is that my visitors are not getting IP addresses from this VLAN at all
some one please advise

A couple of questions, is VLAN 192 allowed across the trunk link to the wlc? Do you have an interface tagged for vlan 192, with a valid address? What is providing the DHCP?

I have same problem. I could only see a fraction of my project photos if I browse the Aperture lbrary. It is the same problem when I sync the aperture photos to my iPhone or iPad. I still cannot solve it but I know a way to go around it for your iMovie to see the pictures so that you can work on your iMovie.
Here is the work around:
Export the photos from your album to your hard disk and re-import into your iPhoto. Now you should be able to see those photos that you want to work on in iMovie when you browse your iPhot library.

Help! I thought I was pretty good setting up slide shows and adding music. I'm trying to make a new slide show from a great trip to New York. I can get theme music but no music at all from iTunes. Checking my older slide shows, which did play music!

In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.

Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save. Click the T tool to add text.

Quick follow up, since I was on my phone earlier and am back to a real keyboard.
To access Easy Setup, hit Control Q.
If you click on the blue discosure triangles, a dropdown menu with about a dozen different presets will be displayed. Select the one you want, (Here, I've selected 720P.)
Whatever you select for a preset will not be applied until you make a new sequence. (I don't like to have sequences with different properties in the same project so I prefer to make a new project if I change the Easy Setup.)
Because photo aspect ratios are different than video, I typically put a solid generator of some compatible color on the first track (v1) and put my photos on the track above (v2). Looks better, IMO, than black bars. There are other creative ways to display them. And of course, you could scale them up to fill the frame…but then you probably would have to re-position them.

Trying to make ads and display them in tv

I'm trying to make some advertisements to be displayed in a TV by the Apple TV, the ads made in Keynote as a movie.
So, I check the tech specs and it seems that if I use H.264 the measure should be 1280 by 720 pixels at 24 fps, but for some reason when I display it in the 32" Samsung LCD, there are parts that are cut (the sides). This being said, what size or area can I use to be able to maximize the amount of space I got and put all the stuff I need to inside?

Yes h264/720p/24fps should do the job, it would be my guess that your issue is possibly due to the transitions and effects you have used in keynote, not all of these translate into movies properly. My advice would be to get yourself imovie and use that to make your ads.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
