Mail always shows sending two emails in Mail activity

Hi, I have noticed, that even when I send only one email, the Mail activity reports "sending 2 mails". Does anyone know why that is?

It's because you're using an IMAP account, which resides on the server, not on your Mac. So whenever you send an email, it's sent to the server, which then sends it back to your Mac, so the two are always in sync.

Hi everyone, I got a requirement from client to send two emails having attachments. First I tried using email task, but what I observed is that "Email variables are used only within the context of a session". The email task is not allowing me to use any email variables(%a<>) which is used to attch a file in email.. So as an alternative approach, I have to use unix 'mailx' command to send out a mails. My question is how to achieve this scenerio with email task? or is it a drawback of email task to not allowing us to use email variables? Any help would be appriciable. Note: I am using Informatica Powecenter 9.5.1

How do I send an email with hyperlinks active upon receipt? Currently the hyperlinks are only active once I open the attachment. I want them to arrive active just like they do in the emails I receive from Office Depot et al.

Sometimes you need to look at it from the perspective of a recepient. Save the message before sending and close it. It will be in your Drafts Folder. Click once on it in the Drafts list so you can view is as the recepient would. (Don't open for edit) The links should be active.

My question is,now when I use Mail to send an email,ipad send two exactly the same emails!

Settings > General > Accessibility > Voice Over > Switch to OFF
Reset iPad: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

Webex Sending Two emails when launched from collaboration room

Hello,
I have a collaboration room set up to use Webex as an online tool. When I click the START button it actually asks me Twice about whether or not I want to launch webex and then it sends me TWO emails: one in ENGLISH and the second in GERMAN.
Here is the contents of the GERMAN email:

Diese E-Mail wurde automatisch generiert. Bitte nicht antworten.
Does any one have any ideas on what I need to do for either issue?

This is really a **** to do an trial and error method because it consumes lot of time.
so here is something for u
A step is assigned to multiple users and has a minimum threshold of approvals assigned (that is, assignees are user 1, user 2, and user 3, and two of the three are required to approve before this step can be completed). In this case,
u25CF two of the three users must approve before the step is considered approved
u25CF if two of the three users reject it, the step is rejected, and consequently will either return the task to the last Action Item assignees or, if no previous Action Item exists, will conclude the task, with the history reflecting the rejection.
in my trial i had only two user connected to a group so sometimes second step is recieved by user 1 or user 2 . if one of them approves then document is getting approved and goes to next step
it is same in the case of rejection too.
i hope now everything would be clear

ICloud sends two emails everytime I send email

Does anyone else have this issue when you send an email from iCloud that it sends two?? this has been happening for over a week. I have restarted whatever device I happen to be using at the time. I have had this issue from when sending from the web, using both Mac and PC.

Go into settings-facetime-iphone cellular calls
Turn it off (grey)
On both devices.

Messages do not always show up when email is opened

This problem just started happening recently. Some of the emails do no show the message when I open them. Sometimes the message appears if I reopen the email but not always.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Mail says its sending double emails

When I send a single email in the apple mail program, the progress report says it's sending two emails. When receiving emails it also exaggerates the number of emails that it is downloading from the server, e.g. it will say it's receiving four emails, but only receives two. It's not necessarily proportional each time and can be random numbers. Can anyone explain this. It is consistent that it always says it's downloading more emails than I receive in my inbox. Have checked junk mail and this doesn't account for it. Am using OSX 10.9.4. Any advice appreciated.

It is a bug in Mail. The only way to reset is to quit and reopen Mail.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Recently migrated from mobileme to iCloud and my mail inbox always shows 3. Any idea how to fix?

I recently upgraded to Lion and migrated my mobileme account to iCloud and my mail inbox always shows 3 new emails that don't appear as new anywhere. I found a previous article from a couple of years ago but it was no help. Any ideas?

Try turning mail syncing off and on again in system preferences > iCloud.

Mail activity keeps counting incoming emails

I just upgraded my system to Mavericks
Every time I check the mail ,
Mail is showing incoming phantom emails in the activity window.
The number is growing by 2 every time I check even if nothing is arriving
When I quit Mail and launch it back,
it goes back to 2 and then it adds up
4, 6, 8 and so on.
Where to stop it counting?

Please read this answer till the end before doing anything: there are two options.
It's a little tricky: I don't know your computer expertise , so please do a backup before doing it
In case something goes wrong because you missed a step, you can always go back as it was before
or if you don't feel it's right for you don't do it.
1st option
If you have all "troubled account" emails still on Gmail server, you could simply delete the account in Apple Mail
and recreate it as POP, brand new and your problems are solved.
Quit Apple Mail
Delete the file
DefaultCounts in
/Users/yourname/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/DefaultCounts
and restart Apple Mail
2nd option
If you don't have or you are not sure of having all your emails on Gmail server because you deleted some or all when you downloaded it
I would suggest you to move all your "troubled account" emails still on your computer to two folders (IN and Sent)
You can create those in Apple Mail
ON MY MAC.
You have to do this because when you delete an account it will delete all emails there are there
You have to move both"troubled account" Inbox gmail and "troubled account" Sent gmail, in this case
and then you set up the new POP account. If you don't know how, here is Setup Pop
Quit Apple Mail
Delete the file
DefaultCounts in
/Users/yourname/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/DefaultCounts
and restart Apple Mail

Getting two emails per alarm

Sometimes I am getting two email alarms for the same event -- including the last three times in a row.
the above is one example of an event to which this happened. The hidden portion after the email address is "(work)".
I don't understand the work/home stuff but I've been using email alarms for years now. I did have both "work" and "home" at one time, but got rid of "work". I certainly don't need two calendars, or whatever it is that this portion is doing.
The "calendar" field has up/down arrows, but there is only the one option: "Home"
The "alarm" field with the email address also has up/down arrows, but there is only the one option: "Work"

This is not an iphone issue but rather is a result of the mail account with yahoo and whoever is sending spam to that mail account. I am not a Yahoo user so I am not sure but maybe Yahoo has a spam filter that you might be able utilise to reduce the number of unwanted messages that seem to be arriving. I know Gmail filters out spam and places them in a separate SPAM folder.

Two emails at once

Lately I've noticed an odd thing in my email. Sometimes when I send, using the Mail program that came with my MacBook, I noticed in the status window that I am sending two emails when I've only written and sent one -- says "sending 2 of 2." But there's only one email in the Sent folder. Any guesses on what that is? Am I inadvertently spamming folks?

Running out of ideas here... The two e-mails at once is a classic symptom from an IMAP connection...
Well, you check if you have a receipt processing script by opening a Terminal window and typing +defaults read com.apple.mail UserHeaders+ and if it turns out empty, you are clear.
If you are clear, well... Just slap Mail in the face to make in stop misbehaving!

Send Workflow email to User SAP Inbox with a Popup and cproject link

Hi,
I am working SAP portfolio and project management workflow.
Requirement: Trigger workflow when Portfolio Execution Decision Point status changes,
We have to send two email notifications as part of the requirement;
First notification should go to user’s (Only one user) SAP Inbox, Containing two links
Popup link (It will contain list of question which the user has to confirm) if he
confirms we have to send second email notification. (Pop-up layout is attached)
Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject to upload the documents. (NWBC)
The second notification should go to Outlook of the users (via group email) with Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject.
We can trigger the workflow using event DECISION_POINT_STATUS_CHG in Class CL_RPM_DECISION. My question is how should design the pop-up and incorporate the Pop-up and cproject link in first notification email sent to user SAP Inbox.
Please let me know if you need more details.

We use transaction NWBC to login to netweaver business client. Then from there we navigate to Project management view and double click to select the project. It opens project element --> Collaborations tab. There we select the folder link. (screenshot attached)
Regarding addition of multiline container element (Table) let's say 'A'; I create multiline container element A in Workflow element list, Populated element A using a utility class/method assigned to a background task.
Then, I created a user decision task, inside the task container another multiline container element 'B' with same type and I did binding b/w workflow container element 'A' and task container element 'B'.
Now, I am passing &B& in the decision task description. If I execute the workflow, The user decision task description is blank.
Secondly, I did not get any pop-up asking how to display it (all lines with line break).
PS: My internal table also has only one field.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Send confirmation email with form data

Hi:
I need to have a form do several things when the user hits submit and I'm hoping someone can give me some insite:
1. It needs to insert record into my DB (got that one figured out)
2. It then needs to send two emails with all of the form information, the first one to the email address that the user inputs in a field, the second to a general box (ie [email protected]). This is where I am seriously stuck.

I'm using the Dreamweaver Insert Record (it's a MySQL db with PHPmyAdmin as the face). This seems like it should be a fairly common and standard request and I just can't seem to find the right answer. I can post code, if that would help.
