Mail double notifications

Hello everyone; everytime i get a new mail, there is a notification shows up in the right top corner of the screen which is pretty normal. but when this notification disappears, there is always one more appearing for the SAME MAIL only with the difference that has the beginning with name of the account in paranthesis such as "(Hotmail)". So that how could i make the second ones not appeared?
Btw, i'm using the standart Mail application.
Thank you.

I think I found the answer on here.  I went to SETTINGS > MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDAR > MAIL (the actual name of the account with the double alerts) > MAIL FOLDERS TO PUSH > Then I selected INBOX and SENT ITEMS only!!
I tested it by sending an email from an account not synced on my iPhone and only ONE ALERT came through!!  OMGoodness - so much less annoying!!
Thanks to you all and I hope other will benefit from this post!!  God Bless!

keep on getting double notification  from my default mail app, and gmail app, how do i make google my primary one? so that i dont have to get doulbe notifications  on both apps

This is probably not the answer to all your questions, but I am sure it answers some.
Unlike Word and InDesign, FrameMaker's anchored frames, which hold graphics, "hang" from their insertion points, typically at the end of the paragraph. An anchored frame that follows a paragraph is set to be below the line, the line being the last line in the paragraph. If you turn on View > Text Symbols, you will see a marker that indicates the point from which the anchored frame is hanging.
If the anchored frame is taller than the available space, it is moved to the next page ALONG with that last line. If the paragraph style/tag has a widow/orphan lines number that is more than 1, then that number of lines are also moved to the next page, because the paragraph tag says to keep that many together, EVEN if there is space at the bottom of the previous page.
So, you can set the widow/orphan lines number smaller OR as you have done put a blank line before the anchored frame, which now holds the marker for the anchored frame, and set its font size to 2 pt (the lowest FrameMaker allows) and its line height to zero. This is the standard workaround UNLESS you use the line above the anchored frame as the title/caption of a figure, which is also a typical way of dealing with FrameMaker's ways.
To my knowledge, one cannot change the default of the checked cropped box. Maybe others know of some way to change this.
There is no page break in FrameMaker, hence there is no symbol for it. In the paragraph designer for the paragraph, you set to Start of the paragraph to Top of page. Top of page is FrameMaker's equivalent to a page break. To "remove" a page break, set the Start of the paragraph to Anywhere.
Since you are new to FrameMaker, I suggest reading throught the User Manual that comes with FrameMaker. You will likely find the answers to most of your questions there.
    Hope this helps,

  • Getting double notifications for Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1 pro

    Hi,
I have Outlook 2013 installed on windows 8.1 pro 64bit. I am having an issue with outlook notifications, I am getting 2 notifications for each mail that I receive.
I tried searching for the issue and found that I have desktop alerts enabled in Outlook settings and also windows 8 notifications for outlook in PC settings. Both these options generate their own notifications, so I get 2 notifications for each mail.
When I turned off outlook notifications in PC settings, both the notifications stopped. Then I disabled desktop alerts from outlook settings and started getting only one notification.
The issue is that both these notification look a bit different, outlook desktop alerts also show sender's photo which I prefer and I also have some outlook rules configured to show desktop alerts for only certain mails. So I want the desktop alerts to continue
and stop standard windows 8 notifications for outlook.
Does anyone know how to do that?
    Thanks in advance.
    SP

    Hi,
As far as I know, Outlook email notifications are only shown in Window 8.1 if notifications are enabled in both Outlook and Windows.
I suspect the rules are causing this double notification issue.
You may export all the rules for backup, then start Outlook with the switch "/cleanrules":
Win key + R, type "outlook.exe /cleanrules" in the blank box, press Enter.
    Check if the issue persists.
If the issue is gone after running Outlook with "/cleanrules", then let's import these rules back to check the result.
If the issue is back again, please check if any rules trigger the notification twice, use "stop processing more rules" as you need to stop the emails triggering more than one rule.

  • Double notifications of emails in iOS6 and calendar hiding

I have gmail (exchange) setup on the iOS6. I also tried getting notifications (notification center an/or lock screen). Unfortunately, the system isn't only passing notifications of new messages from INBOX but also from "ALL MAIL"....which means double notifications
Furthermore, notification center doesn't respect the "hide calendar", so it is also passing calendar events into notification center for calendars that are HIDDEN in the Calendar app.  I'd have thought this would have been fixed from iOS5 to iOS6.  But no?

Ok. Found the solution to problem #1:  In each account, you can select "folders to push" in exchange...I had "all mail" set to push...it doesn't actually push anyway, and it also causes it to be reported in Notification Center.
Problem two, however, still remains. Thanks.

  • Double Notifications in iOS 5 (Facebook app)

I'm slightly annoyed at this moment....
After installing iOS 5 a few days ago, meverything seemed to be working as advertised.  However a problem child reared it's ugly little head.  NOTIFICATIONS!!!  Suffice it said that subject line says it all.
Whenever I get an email, or a fb msg, or some other notification, it comes in twice...one right after the other.  I never had this issue with my 4 previous iPhones or even this iPad2, until iOS 5!!!  IOS 5 loads up and BAM!!! Double notifications for everything!!!
So that we're clear about the step I've taken resolve this issue:
    1.) uninstalled iOS 5, twice...clean install, twice...same issue.  Not a back up, and restore...nope, a clean reset.
2.) tuned off all notifications for all apps, turned back on just fb and mail...same results.
3.) iPad2 on/off multiple times, no change before or after.
    Anyone????

gosh I wish it were THAT simple.  But alas its not.
Because if it were that simple...I'd have marked your solution, which I arrived at days ago, as right on the money! In fact, I wouldn't have posted here at all dude.
Let's try this one more time, shall we ?
facebook, mail, and every other app that has been removed from notification center, STILL reports every entry TWICE....
So let's say that a friend leaves a message on my wall on facebook, the ipad receives that notification and then displays it TWICE as an alert badge, and a sound!
    Anyone ?
    Miles.

  • How do I receive an e-mail or notification when someone accepted my invitation in iCal?

    Hi people,
I have had this problem for a while now and I can't seem to find a solution.
When I invite people to an event in iCal, the invitation is e-mailed without a problem to the invited people. If they accept, I can watch this on both my iPhone and in iCal. Nevertheless I never receive any e-mail or notification when someone accepts.
Is it possible to receive an e-mail or quick notification on my iPhone about that?
    Thank you!
    Michaël Duwyn

    >If they could actually save the filled in document that would be just as good because they could attach it to an e-mail
In Acrobat Pro, open the form and go to the Advanced menu and choose enable usage rights for Reader users.
Now, they will be able to fill out the form and save it to send it back to you in an email.
Be aware that there is a 500 use per form limit so this isn't a good answer for high volume use forms.

  • How to get yahoo mail in notification in macbook pro in mountain lion os

  • Missing notification for Yahoo mails, only notification for iCloud mails

    Hi,
Just upgraded to Mavericks 10.9.1. Have some issues regarding mails and notifications. I have an iCloud and Yahoo mail account. Mails show up fine for both accounts in Mail app, but only mails to my iCloud account show up as a notification when recieved. Mails recieved in my Yahoo account only shows up in notification center when I start the Mail app. On my iPhone with iOS7 mails to Yahoo works fine with push messages with instant notification.
    Any help very much appreciated.
Also, no badge with unread mails are indicated on the mail app icon in the dock. Any hint also appreciated for this issue.
    Thanks.

Nothing wrong with the settings or your phone .. Its by design. Only way to always get the notifications visible is the Glance display which is not available for your device as rightly pointed out ..

  • I get double notifications

I use Iphone 4 and ios 5.01 and get double notificaitons from my calendar from entries I make.   I use Google imap to sync my device and I have turned off icloud so I think that it is not providing a duplicate.  When I edit the double notifications, one indicates the source as my default calendar and the other I cannot edit ie., it does not indicate which calendar is providing the same information, not a big deal but bothersome!   As an aside, how do I get subscribed calendars to show up on my iphone notifications?
    Thanks
    GH

I think I found the solution; in my google calendar, I found a calendar that I was subscribe to which I have eliminated.  Now I want to figure how to the subscribed calendars on my google calendar and ical to show up on my iphone.

  • Double notifications for SMS

Lately, I keep getting TWO notifications of text messages. It doesn't matter who it came from, about 10 min later, the identical message will "bing" at me. *It's not delivered twice, but the phone notifies me of it twice.* It's really annoying and I don't know if this is a phone thing or service thing. Since it's not delivered twice, I'm assuming it's a phone issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you unlock the phone and dismiss the notification or read/reply. Then it shouldn't bug you again.
Well, as two of us have just stated, even when we REPLY we are getting double notifications. Obviously, we have to unlock the phone and go into SMS when we reply. So what do I have to do? Go into the Apple store?
Sorry, but you never said you replyied to it. You said
But even if I DO pick up the message (which I nearly always do because it's on me)
But you responded to my post where I said some people don't feel it. To me your choice of words came across that you "picked up" as in felt/became aware, etc of the notification. You never said you did anything with the phone.
But with that said, I would say try the traditional stuff first.
Reboot the phone (both buttons for about 10 seconds ignoring slide to turn off until you see Apple Logo then let go).
Test out sending yourself an SMS (if need to, send from computer to [email protected]
If still an issue, do a restore (yes it is a pain but Apple will tell you same thing and even do it in the store before handing over a replacement).
If restore doesn't work, then call 1-800-MY-IPHONE and make an Appt at store.

  • Mail Delivery Notifications

    Hi folks.
We have a Collab 10.1.2.3 installed and working properly. One thing is anoying me since the implementation: I receive all mail delivery notifications from all users, and I do not want to receive notifications that I did not ask for.
    How can I achieve this?
    Thanks in advance
    Carlos Inglez

At least partially for DSN's - could you please check up the docs on that ? Redirect them to postmaster - and for those that you really didn't want (which is hard to judge - e.g. on not-remote site availability 4.2.1's. 4.5.1's ) invent a server-side-rule via OCFO/Webmail/WAC. See plaintext for mail source, e.g. Thunderbirds/Mozilla CTRL+U on a msg.

  • What mail queuing notifications are available with Exchange Online Protection (EOP)?

Basically, if EOP detects a service failure for the on-premises Exhange Servers and mail queuing is enabled, what notifications are available from EOP when mail queuing is enabled? I am unable to find a screenshot or documentation regarding this.
Does EOP have the ability to email and or SMS notifications to an outside email address indicating the mail queuing has been enabled for the domain?

Unfortunately, EOP doesn't have an ability to notify you with the SMS or email if the email is queued. We need to perform a message trace on the EOP to review the list of emails which is in pending status.

  • How to print an attachment of an e-mail double sided?

    HP Photosmart 6510.
When I print a document from my computer, it will be printed double sided. However, when I send the same document by e-mail to my printer, it will be printed only single sided. How to solve this problem?

I'm glad to hear you are using the duplex feature of this printer. It definitely saves on paper costs. As of this time, Eprint does not support duplex printing.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Change Portal E-Mail Text Notifications

    Hi,
We have configurated the notification mails  following the instructions:(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/48/b37e32eb5c6200e10000000a421937/frameset.htm)
But this procedure is only for changing the text, and the message is a plain text. Ineed to add design, like a hyperlink, colors for example.
Where can I configure this? Is this possible?
    Thanks by your help!
    Best Regards

I think it only sends plain text emails. You could try including some HTML tags and see if this changes how the message is processed by the receiver...
