Mail settings on one computer not sending, works fine on the other

I checked all settings against the working computer (Macbook pro), but still on the G5 is says "can't send through that server."
I've spent time on the phone with support, changing ports, etc, to no avail.
So would archive and install do any thing?
And, if not, what would?

You have a modem and router, and the G5 is connected to the router via an ethernet cable -- correct? Do you have another cable to test with?
On the G5, open Connection Doctor -- what does it say about connecting to the SMTP?

    Can you describe what you mean by "experiencing slow response"? Do you mean that you don't see the new responses as they come in? Does it takes up to two hours before they show up in the View Responses table when they show up immediately at your other location? And what do you mean but "the form not displaying"? Are you talking about the fillable form or the editable form in FormsCentral?
    Can you please add me as co-author ([email protected]) of the form so that I can investigate on my side.

    If it was not working the Mac would not get a signal. Restart the IOS devices and reconnect to the network

  • One email account sends and receives emails, the other does not

    I have two different email accounts set up on my phone. They both worked, until I had my phone was serviced and wiped clean. Now one account sends and receives and the other does not. I have tried everything from deleting the account on the phone and rebooting, to changing my password. When I reactivate the account I get a message saying  "activation server" and that messages will be forwarded within 20 minutes and they never come. I'm not sure what else to try.

    What type of email are you unable to receive - Gmail? Hotmail? Internet Service Provider hosted email?
    What is your BlackBerry PIN to investigate? 
    When you go to send an email using this account, do you get an error? Are you able to select this email account for sending an email?

  • ALL my ad-ons just stopped working one day, but they work fine on my other computer...

    I didnt do any specific update, and I dont even have many ad-ons, the only ones i really use are ad-block plus and download statusbar... i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ad-ons, and firefox as a whole. but that didnt change anything. on my other laptop i have the same settings and versions and everything and its working fine.

    You may have some corrupt files, see [[unable to install add-ons#Corrupt extension files|corrupt extension files]] for details of the files to remove. If one of those files is corrupt it can cause problems such as add-ons not working.

  • Swalife websight doesn't operate correctly on one of our computers and works fine on the other

    We have two Dell laptops. For explanation of this problem, I will refer to them as #1 and #2. I have used Firefox on #1 for 3 years now. Our other computer, #2 has been using IE, but because of IE issues, we decided to switch it to FF also. It is necessary for us to use swalife.com website for work. When I log in to swa life on #1 it works fine as it always has. We downloaded FF 18.0 on #2 and the swalife site only has partial functionality. We can log in to the site on #2 and it recognizes the names and passwords, but will not open the default opening page. The default page has 4 tabs, news, need to know, swa pics, and profiles. The only tab out of the three that works correctly is the need to know tab. The other three have a window that opens that displays the following message:
    This Connection is Untrusted
    You have asked Firefox to connect
    securely to blog.swalife.com, but we can't confirm that your
    connection is secure.
    Normally, when you try to connect securely,
    sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
    going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
    What Should I Do?
    If you usually connect to
    this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
    trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
    blog.swalife.com uses an invalid security certificate.
    The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.
    (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
    Yesterday I contacted Norton security. They took control of #2 and said that it wasn't a security problem and that they couldn't fix it. He suggested using Chrome, since swalife.com operated fine with chrome on #2. That is not the solution I wanted. We also contacted Tech Support at swalife and they had no idea what the problem could be. My question to you is...if swalife.com operates correctly on#1 with FF18.0, why can't #2 operate on FF18.0? Both computers are in the same room, using the same router, and are on the same Insight cable connection. I have checked and compared security settings on both computers and both appear to be identical. Please note, that in the Untrusted window it says that "You have asked FF to connect securely to blog.swalife.com but we can't confirm that your connection is secure." We are not asking to connect to blog.swalife. We never use it. The site sends us to this window directly from the log on page.

    The blog.swalife.com server doesn't send a required intermediate certificate.
    You can inspect the certificate chain via a site like this:
    *http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/
    You can Copy and Paste the certificate text of the intermediate certificate (COMODO High-Assurance Secure Server CA) to a .cer text file and import the certificate in the Certificate Manager or use Firefox > New Tab > Open File.
    DO NOT set any trust bits, those are only required for root certificates and should never be set for intermediate certificates.

    I have been looking at how to do these tasks - not 100% on both.
    The quickest way to do this is to create a clone copy of your existing internal Macintosh HD. You can create this copy using applications like Data Backup, Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper!.
    I use an external USB HDD for the clone copies.
    The following AppleInsider article will give you an idea on how to use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a clone backup of your Mac's hard drive.

    Your iCoud account remains in iCloud even if your device is restored.  (In fact, you can't delete an iCloud account from iCloud, you can only choose to stop using it.)  If the device is restored, or it may no longer be signed into your iCloud account but your account will still exist in iCloud.

  • Problem with Mail settings - PDF document is not sending

    Hi Experts,
    During sales order confirmation, a PDF attachment used to be sent.
    But now the customer is receiving the file with extension as .OTF instead of .PDF.
    Where could be the problem with this? Is this something wrong in SOCT setttings?
    But for some other scenarios, the same is working so i don't think that there is a problem with SCOT settings.
    Please let me know if anybody has an idea about this problem or susgestion to find the problem

    Hi Gangisetty,
    I guess there is no need to change any settings.
    You just need to change format from OTF to PDF using some FM.
    You can refer following links for conversion of OTF to PDF.

I would like to be able use another computer and it has Creative Cloud - same account. and it has Premiere CC 2014.0 I can't get the second to download an up date.     Brent I would recommend reviewing the installation log files to the update that is failing to apply.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Why will IMAP email not send from Mac OS 10.10.1 Yosemite Mail even though it is configured the same as on my old Macbook (and emails are sending just fine on the old computer)?

    I can receive but cannot send IMAP email on my 1&1 mail account from Mac OS 10.10.1 Yosemite Mail on my new Macbook Pro. The account is set up the same port, password, username, server name as on my old Macbook and emails are sending just fine on the old computer.
    When I hit send on the new Macbook Pro running Yosemite I get this message:
    "The connection to host ... on port 993 failed.
    Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."
    It shows the server as (offline)
    I've tried erasing and typing in the password.  I've tried both checking and unchecking Automatically detect and maintain account settings. Still cannot send.
    I also have a Gmail account and it is working...

    email service uses an Incoming Server and an Outgoing Server. Mac Mail makes access to the Incoming Server(s) obvious, and hides the settings for the outgoing Server(s). A quick and easy way to get access to the Outgoing Servewr settings is to use:
    Window > Connection Doctor ...
    ... then click on the red light for the Server that is not working for you to see its settings.

    Go into your email account's settings : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , tap on the account on the right-hand side, go into Account, then SMTP (under Outgoing Mail Server) and try filling in your email account name and password (they might show as 'optional' at the moment) and see if that helps
