Mailbox full, but it shouldn't be???

I noticed that I can't send mail from my @me.com-account because the mailbox is full and the mail I send cannot be saved in the Sent-folder. It seems like the quota is full but I'm only using 1,5GB of the total 5,0GB!! Anybody else suffering from this at the moment?

Hi Rick and Bruce,
When I had the problem, a year ago, the reason turned out to be a mail I had sent recently, containing a video-attachment, taken with my iPhone. I deleted the mail in question from my sent folder and my problem was solved. Stange? Yes, but no problems with that since then. :-)

  • Smtp 452 mailbox full but its NOT

    Hi,
iMS5.2 . Message store. The problem. Stability test, sent 20000 mails to one account. All mails are delivered (I can see them in the INBOX and spam folders under webmail). Seems OK BUT mail.log_current shows many mails in the queue with status (Q 1 mailname@domainname rfc822 etc smtp;452 4.2.2 Mailbox full)
The webmail interface shows 69MB used out of a quota of 954MB so I dont understand why the logs show mailin the queue. (This is confirmed by imsimta qm; summary - 10571 mails in queue)
I reset the user's mailbox quota via ldapmodify before the test (increased to allow the 20K messages)
Hope you can make sense of this please.
    Cheers
    Simon

    "ims 5.2". Please.
Exactly which version of 5.2 do you have?
imsimta version is the only true way to get the version. There have been over 30 different versions of 5.2.

  • 'iCloud says storage is full'  - But it shouldn't be?

My iPhone will not back up because it say my iCloud is full.  I have looked at the breakdown of what is due to be backed up and it says  I have 4.9GB on the Camera Roll.  But I have transferred all the pictures and videos off my phone so it is completely empty.  So why is it trying to backup 4.9GB of pics that don't exist?
    Cheers,
    Carl.

  • Not receiving mail... mailbox full - but isn't.

I am not able to receive mail in my *@me.com/*@icloud.com account. The dialog box says that the mailbox is full, see below:
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
          *@icloud.com on 04/03/2013 2:40 PM
The message could not be delivered because the recipient's mailbox is full.
                <ms04523.mac.com (ims-ms-daemon) #4.2.2>
The strange thing is we already deleted all the items from the mailbox and also emptied the trash. I'm not sure what's happening. It's imperitive to have this account up and running and I'm getting really concerned. Can someone please help.
    Thank you

What type of email account do you have?
You might need to access your email account from your provider's website to free up space in your inbox.

  • All of a sudden I cant recieve e mails. I can send but people sending me e mails receive message to say mailbox full

All of a sudden I can receive emails despite clearing all my folders. Senders get error message mailbox full.  What can I do?

Which email service? iCloud? Yahoo? Hotmail? Gmail? Your ISP?
Email services store emails on servers. Your mail client can be configured to delete emails off the server or to keep them all on the server. Normally you have a fixed amount of space on a remote email server. This sounds like a problem with your email service and not your computer.
Give us some more details about your problem. The causes could be numerous. Can we assume you have a good deal of free space on your iPad?

  • HP LaserJet M3027 MFP Getting 'Mailbox full' on test send of email alert

I am trying to get my network printers to send email alerts to an external hosted Exchange server through our local win2k3 server, which is not running Exchange but is running an SMTP server. I keep getting a 'Mailbox full' message when trying to send a test alert.
My question is: Do I have to set up an account ON the printer in User Management to be able to send alerts? Currently, there are no users defined on the printers as everybody uses them strictly for network printing. The error is probably something in the SMTP or user configurations on the server but I thought I would ask about the printer user settings just to be sure.

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

  • Why is my SMS Mailbox full after going to iOS 5?

Ok so after "upgrading" to iOS 5 I get this message when I send messages "Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be recieved until you delete some messages". After hours on the phone with AT&T and Apple, I did figure some stuff out. 75,000 text message is the limitation of the SMS application. I found through google, an application called PhoneView from ecamm(not free) that will backup and all data on the iPhone but additional it tells you the number of messages. I had 101,732 messages on my iPhone 4. This is because I've had an iPhone since the original they were released in 2007. I've accrued 101,000 message in over 4 years time. At no point was this an issue until i downloaded iOS 5. iOS 4 had no problem with my amount of text messages. I was simply told to delete the messages by my helpful and knowledgable Apple Call Center rep. I wasn't explained why all of a sudden this is a problem. i have over 14GB of free space on my iPhone 4 but my "SMS Mailbox is full." So now since there is no application that has the rights to manage iPhone iOS 4 or higher (i.e. iOS 5) data/messages I have to go thru and manually delete and the 27,000 messages I don't need one conversation at a time. Thanks iOS 5! So this is my reward for being a loyal iPhone user since the beginning. Why is my SMS mailbox full at 75,000 messages? Is not the new iMessage service encouraging even more use on messaging? Please explain

    I think I found a solution!
I've had this same issue since I upgraded last night.  I tried deleting messages to no avail.  I still had to turn my phone off and back on to receive messages and even then I didn't always receive all messages queued up.  Today I've been fiddling around with settings to see if I could make a difference.  My means were not very scientific, so I can't pinpoint exactly what made things work, but I'll try to recount the steps I took:
    1.  I had toggled off iMessage support which made no difference
    2.  I went into the iCloud settings (Settings->iCloud) and did the following:
         a.  Turn OFF bookmarks
         b.  Turn OFF "Find My iPhone"
         c.  Under "Storage & Backup" I turned OFF iCloud Backup
    3.  I then went back to the Messages settings (Settings->Messages) and turned iMessage back on.  Instantly I got a new text message notification.
Since performing these steps I've been able to send and receive text messages with no issues at all.  I have no clue if this will work for others, but thought I'd share.

  • Mailbox full of unreadable messages and more fun

recently did a reinstall (after backing everything up to an external drive) only to find after reimporting all my mail settings i find my mailboxes full (expected this) but the following message attached to each message
*The message from ** concerning *** has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.*
the account is online. i have 4k of messages i'd like to save and find i can't now.
here's the other problem: as stated before the mail accounts have been set up as before the reinstall, only now they're not receiving email nor are they sending.
    any ideas out there?

never mind. fixed it by booting from the external, making sure mail behaved, and then deleting the plist, cache and mail folder in the library. replaced all items from the bootable drive.

iphone 4s my voicemail will not take any messages, says its full but i deleted all but 3 mesages. it even says your mailbox is full, you have 3 saved voicemails

Voicemail is a carrier feature.  Contact your carrier to see if there is a problem with your voicemail.  (You might also see if you can manage voicemail on your account on your carrier's website.)

  • Mailbox full message comes in Hebrew

    Hi,
My Apple Mail account is connected with an Exchange 2003 server. I don't have Hebrew enabled on my macbook. Just last week, i received an email from the server saying my mailbox is full, but it all came in Hebrew. I live in Israel. How did it set the language to Hebrew when, in fact, Hebrew isn't enabled on my laptop. Thanks for your help!
    Thanks,
    Tharaka

I don't know how you think you "disabled" Hebrew, but the only way to not see an email in Hebrew is to manually remove every font on your machine which contains Hebrew characters.  That is how computers work regarding language display on emails and webpages.
It sounds like whatever sent you the email was programmed to use a language based on your location.

I am getting message from MacPro that my start up disc is full - but I can't find this "start up disc" and can't figure out what to do to help situation. I've been making a number of imovies, which generates junk files and material that I should toss in the trash, but it is not clear to me  what items I can toss and which items I can't toss. Can you help? Using the imovie "help" support the system showed me under the menu item "go" where the "start up disc" should be - but that wasn't actually available on my menu!  Thanks for your help!

  • Apple sends notification that my icloud account is full but I have lots of free space

Has anyone recieved erroneous notifications to upgrade your icloud account? I got an email today which said my account was full but I actually have lot's of free storage.  The thing that worry me the most is that the email said my devices could not be backup anymore unless I free or purchase more space.  I wanted to contact support to get an explanation of why I got this email.  I try to contact support via email for about 15 minutes till I finally gave up because I could not find a link to send an email to Apple support.  Does anyone have this link? I am realy dissapointed. I have two macbook pros, one ipad, two iphones, 27" cinema display, time capsule, itunes match, 30GB of icloud storage, and all the Apple apps.  After all the money I spend on Apple I have the expectation that I should be able to contact them by email.

  • IPod touch full but wont show music or videos

I just downloaded itunes 10 and threw a bunch of movies onto my ipod. I went to go watch them today at work and it says there is no video and no music on my ipod. but when i look at General>About> there are no songs no videos but there is only 178 mb avail on a 16gb ipod. so the Ipod is full but nothing is showing up. any ideas?

Here's what I've noticed with my 2nd generations iPod Touch since upgrading to iOS 4.
I'll download some new content, a couple of podcasts let's say. iTunes shows that I have nine (9) unplayed podcasts. I'll manually tell iTunes to sync the changes to my iPod but when that process completes, I'll notice that the iPod only shows eight (8) podcast present on the device. So I manually tell iTunes to sync again, this time the missing podcast gets transferred to the device and now iTunes and the iPod Touch both show that they have nine (9) podcasts.
But there's a problem. Before manually sync'ing the first time, iTunes says that there is .19 GB of "Other" content on my iPod Touch. After manually sync'ing the second time however, that number grows to .29 GB.
So here's what I think is happening. The podcast that didn't sync the first time gets trapped on the device as "other" content because its transfer during the first sync process fails. Now that space isn't recovered on the iPod Touch device unless you "restore" your device. Not good! I think a bug needs a killing.
