Making a timesheet for work?

I've searched and searched and all I can really find is people trying to make timesheets for their actual employees to punch in and out. Basically, I just started a new job and it uses fingerprint identification but it scores you at the end, and I just really don't trust it much. I know it's really sophisticated technology and probably the best way to keep track, but I just don't trust it yet until I see it actually works for myself. I'm keeping track of my hours by hand too just to make sure they match, and I wanted to put them into Numbers somehow. I want to input the actual times, not how many hours I work but like when I actually punch in and out, and I was wondering if somehow I could get Numbers to calculate the amount of hours for the day, and amount of hours for the week. I really don't know where to start though, I'm not too sure if this is even possible with like actually inputting times instead of number of hours, and I don't know what's the best way to go about this. Would I need a new document for each week for the easiest way to keep track? Or would I just keep inserting cells at the beginning and having the previous weeks shift down. If you have any ideas, any suggestions, anything, let me know.

Using the inspector, set the cell format of the cells that you will enter your times in to "Date and Time". Set the date and time style that you want. To enter a date and time, you can enter something like "8/13/08 15:15" or "8/13/2008 3:15PM". In the cell you are using to calculate your hours worked, enter a simple formula: "=(cell1 - cell2)*24", with cell1 being the cell containing your punch out time and cell2 being your punch in time.
