Making more archieve file while refreshing materialised view

Hi experts,
i have created a materialised view and index on that, while refreshing it is making more archive files,
how to stop making archieve while refreshing the Materialised view.
i also opted nologging option on that,

When we are refreshing materialized view. It is taking more than 2.30 mins. Initially it was taking 1.40 Mins.
We are using parallel and base tables are partitioned. When i checked the tkprof report i see lots of insert query is mostly waiting for PX Deq Credit: send blkd event. When i check the ASH report I don't find any query related to MV was running but still MV refresh was going on

Problem with queries while refreshing materialized views

We are in oracle 8.1.7. We have some materialized views that are refreshed with DMBS_REFRESH.REFRESH in a Job. The problem is that when the refresh occurs while a query is executing we get a "Invalid Rowid" or "0RA-08103 Object not longer exists" in the session executing the query.
We already have reproduced the problem. Is this a bug ? Any idea?

MAKING MORE ARCHIVE IN MATERIALIZED VIEW

i created a materialised view and created index on that, but while refreshing the MV it is making more archive log file.
in index i also opted nologging option, still while refreshing it is still creating more archieve files.
what to do so that it should not create more archive while refreshing materlialised view.

10g to 8i can work, assuming
- 8i = 8.1.7
- You are applying at least the 8.1.7.4 patchset to the master (8i) or you are applying the latest patchset to the slave (10g). Realistically, you probably want to do both.
If you are talking about using the standard edition, I assume that you are only doing basic replication, not multi-master replication. I also assume you are aware of the limitations on hardware that come with Standard Edition 1-- I don't recall if you are limited to machines that have a capacity for 2 or 4 CPU's. Also, be aware that Oracle considers multi-core CPU's as multiple CPU's.

Unable to refresh Materialized view group when an Mview is added

I have 8 MVs present in my DB and added them to a MV refresh group. But I am getting the error below when I try to refresh the group.

I destroyed the group, recreated and added all the views and tried. But no luck.

Hi,
You didn't leave a version (Again), so I can only guess.
You may be suffering from
Bug 10096159 ORA-12048 error message raised by DBMS_REFRESH.REFRESH is not corrrect
Meaning it could be a different MV that fails to refresh.

Ping Error while refreshing webi in view/HTML mode

Hi all,
while refreshing a webi report from Infoview in XI R2 SP6, I'm getting the following error:
Ping: Infoview cannot connect to the server. Close the report panel and try to connect again or see your Business Objects Administrator.
If I click on OK, the the refresh of the LOV continues and data is refreshed.
The error is not occuring if refreshing from the Java Report Panel.
Have you ever seen this error?
Can you help me please.

in our case, it helped to increase the numeric default-value (20000 i.e. 20 Sec.) of the
"<tt>ping_waitTimeoutID</tt>"
in the JavaScript-file "<tt>viewer.js</tt>" in directory
<tt>$/bobje/tomcat/webapps/AnalyticalReporting/viewers/cdz_adv/language/LANG/scripts/</tt>
Where for this installation <tt> /LANG/</tt>* stands for "/de/" and "/en/".

Power Pivot Configuration error while refreshing connection on excel sheet for SharePoint 2013 and Sql server 2014 using BISM file connection

I am getting following error while refreshing connection on excel sheet in power pivot gallery,
my scenario,
using BISM file connection to create and refresh power pivot excel sheet in power pivot gallery
throws error and we have sql server 2014 CU6 updated installed plus sharepoint 2013. i checked following msolap110.dll is available in our environment but assembly
Microsoft.AnalysisServices.ChannelTransport is not available.
i found error in event viewer,

yes, this is issue i am getting.
Activation

Error while refreshing a report using local csv file

Hi,
I'm using BI 4.1 SP02.
While using Rich client, I've created a report with some merged queries, while one of the queries is a local CSV file - saved on AD in some server, and not on the repository inside BO.
While trying to refresh the report with the Rich client, it all went great.
Now, while using BI Launchpad java based app, I can't refresh the report - I get the following error:
"An Internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270) (WIS 30270)"
Should I be able to refresh a report without the Rich if it contains a local file (which is possible to EDIT only with rich) ?
If so, then did someone ran into this error?

First of all, thanks for both of the replies.
Second,
my problem is unlikely have to do something with permissions from one reasons -
when the report is using XLS\XLSX on same folder(with same name prefix) - the report is running without any problem.
Only problem is while refreshing without Rich while the source is network CSV file.
Any suggestions?

Materialised view not getting refreshed.

Hi All
I have created a Materialised view which looks at the master tables in another database... using a DB link. I use to have the refresh force option in the materialised view.. I recieve no error messages when I create DB link, create Mview and I can refresh the Mview manually.. but the auto refresh is not happening... for some reason.. Database version is 10.2.0.1 Standard Edition on Solaris 10 OS.
Below are the scripts I have used to create DB link and MView... Please do let me know if I am missing any detail.. in particular.. what could be the issue/miss here thats avoiding the auto refresh of MView.

Hey People,
Ive set up an SSL Clientless VPN on the Cisco 2821. Ive set up WINS, and the NBNS entries in the VPN config. When i log onto the VPN , i can access the file servers by typing in their names in the network fi
le box, but when i click browse network and select the network name i get the following message
"The following error occurred while attempting the file operation:
Unable to view the contents of the Domain/Workgroup. "
Has anyone come accross this before?
Im using Windows Server 2008R2 for the DC, Windows Server 2003 R2 For WINS and File Sharing.

If the two MVs have to be consistent with each other as of a specific time, put them into a Refresh Group and refresh them with DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH
If an MV is dependent on another, use DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH_DEPENDENT

Error while refreshing bqy file on workspace using stored procedure

Hi,
I am using stored procedure which returns ref-cursor. The report is running fine locally but on Workspace, while refresh, it gives the following error.
An Interactive Reporting Service error has occurred.-SQL API: [SQLNumResultCols], SQL RETURN: [-1], SQL STATE: [HY010], SQL NATIVE ERROR: [0], SQL MESSAGE: [[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function sequence error]

I have ODBC/ODBC connection set up at BI+ configurator.
