The message means that the proxy or the browser don't "understand" what
the site is "saying". Are you trying to bypass the proxy without
unloading the filters?
Also, did you try with another browser?

I need some help! A few users are reporting the following when accessing certain URLS via IE7 pointed to NBM 3.9SP1 server running NW65 SP7:
HTTP ERROR
Status: 502 Bad Gateway
Description: Mal-formed reply from origin server.
The problem can be seen when clicking on the "continue shopping" or "check out" link in KODAK Gallery
The problem does not occur with Firefox or when pointed to another non-NBM proxy.
The proxy.cfg being used is listed below. We were using one of Craig Johnson's proxy.cfg files but ran into some odd problems... Novell support provided the proxy.cfg below which seemed to solve those other problems.

How to catch/read mal-formed xml at Error Handler.

I have added Error Handler at starting node of Message Flow in a Proxy Service and its(Proxy Service) listenning to a JMS queue.
So when i am putting a mal-formed XML into the JMS queue, getting "Failure while unmarshalling message: Failed to parse XML text" error at ALSB server log.
But i am not able to capture the mal-formed xml inside Error Handler node.
Can any one help me how to capture input mal-formed xml in Message Folw.

Re: How to catch malformed xml using error handling mechanism in from a proxy? Had a solution for similar issue. It appears that in-case of malformed XML, $body will not be populated with faulty xml snippet. One way out of this solution is, design your service as Text service and create another service isXML as explained in my above reply.

Controlling the contact form reply-to address

I have a contact form on my site. Everything works fine apart from when I receive an email submission the reply-to address is [email protected], so to reply to the email with the content intact, I have to copy and paste the address from the email body. I did change a setting somewhere that caused it to start giving my own address as the reply-to, which is no better, of course!
I'm sure there's a simple solution to this but I cannot find the setting(s) to configure it. Any help with this is gratefully received.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's not the notification address I'm having issues with, it's the reply address.
When someone uses my contact form, it is sent to the correct address but the reply address is not the sender's. See attached. Is it possible to automatically use the sender's email address for the reply?
Also, is there any way of getting back to the original layout (below). I've tried removing all forms and republishing the Muse site but it doesn't change.

As Anshul has suggested , this needs a Customer Case Management system , where your client can reply directly to submitters email.
With BC this is possible enabling CST( Customer Service Ticketing ) , you can define role responsible as which users should receive the submission emails and then reply to customers directly from email client used.
Level responses can be used such as First level with escalation level. Enabling this , form submission will create a case which will then get converted into a web case and will be triggered into role responsible mailboxes. Site users(your client) can directly reply to the customer from any email client used using this method.
In case you are using external server , you can use any third party ticketing system and setup on the email to which notifications are received.
Currently , with Muse when form is setup with email . Submitters form submission notification is received from that email and submitters email is included in subject line , which you can use manually to send email replies.

Well, that database is very much out of date, and I don't even think you'd be able to easily get the patches from Oracle any more as they haven't supported that version for many years now. If you have a support contract with Oracle you could try asking for the relevant patch.
Other than that, you're looking at upgrading the database to something more recent and supported.

Thank you for the quick response. Yes, it's true it is an old database, but that's what we're using here. I used Patch12 which I thought was the most recent patch.

Aside from the ancient software you have, you never told us what the trouble is.
An error message? A syntax error? Something else?

She's tried several different scenarios and still is not able to compile a "XXFPQLTR" form.
It still appears to be something with the xxfps_price_pkg package in the get_rates procedure. If she comments out the line below it won't blow her out of forms.
If it's in there, it tells her it's encountered an error, and closes forms with a non-descript error message.
She attempted to hit 'debug' instead of 'close' when she got the forms error, and it did not provide herwith any further information .... it just blew up.
Forms is only blowing up when she tries to compile a form that accesses pl/sql tables . If we take out the procedure that has the pl/sql she can compile the form.

Forms is not PL/SQL and PL/SQL is not forms. Yes, somewhat common language. No, very different as one runs on the client (Forms) and the other runs on the server (PL/SQL).
And this is a PL/SQL forums - not Forms. So answers will tend to be about PL/SQL and not Forms. Make sure you do not mistake these as answers for Forms.
In your sho3s.. I would dump Forms in favour of using Oracle 11gr2 with Apex.

True, but you always want your development environments to match your production environment. If Prod is currently at Patch 12, then Patch 12 should be installed on ALL developer workstations.
It is entirely possible that the problem is truly isolated to this one workstation. Have you tried performing a complete Unistall/Install of the Developer Suite (DS) 6i? With version 6i, I also found running Microsoft's RegClean tool often cleared up issues with the DS 6i. Microsoft no longer supports RegClean, but you can find it on the internet.
you can put the code in a database procedure instead of a Forms procedureIf things still don't work after all this, I agree with InoL, perhaps the best option would be to move your logic to a database procedure and call the DB procedure from your Form.

Do co-authors need to have an adobe cc account to access the form?

I have an Adobe CC account. I created a survey form from a template, and added 3 co-authors.
Does each one need to have a CC subscription too?
Do my recipients need to LOG IN to fill out this form once I have distributed it?
Are the recipients of the form able to:
- see the survey results
- change/recall their survey answers
- see other respondents' answers
- download the survey form
- reply to the survey more than once
- begin the survey and save work in progress, then come back to finish it later
- print the survey
- forward the survey form to some other email recipient
- access the survey they completed once they have hit 'Submit'
If I start editing a survey form on my desktop Forms Central App, can I finish editing it online and vice -versa?
What is the best practice in creating a form; desktop app, web app, or no difference?
Do survey recipients see a preview of the survey form in theie email inBox?

from what ive experienced, you do not need a schema..(i seriously do not know what is the use of a schema!!) when i created my first (& last) dynamic form, the problem with it was i hadn't saved it as a dynamic form before testing! other things:
- the dynamic part of the form must be a repeating subform
- the script you use to add a button calls the right part of the form according to its location in the hierarchy
don't know if thats any help at all

Send form is different email to address than specified in submit button

I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO (CS5) and have a problem where the "wrong" mailto: address is displayed to the responder after a PDF form has been completed by the responder... it appears in the final "Send Form" pop up which details the email address the PDF is being submitted to (as well as 2 x fields for the responder to add their "From" info into: 1."email address" and 2."Full Name")
THE PROBLEM IS THIS: The "Send Form"email address shown at the top is not the same as the email address specified in the PDF Forms submit button (I've used "[email protected]" option) and though the submit button DOES send it to the correct specified email address it is showing my standard email address in the "Send Form" pop up box, which I don't want as I am sending a survey form so I would like my "[email protected]" email address to appear here and not my usual/main email address (I need it to display the same info as I've set my submit button to).
What can I do to change the info that seems to automatically appear here...? (Also to change the reply "Subject Header" while I'm at it?)

(it has caused a new problem now though, with my email server now barring the replies from reaching me for some reason, but I'll have to sort that out with our IP!)

save and compile your menu module.
open the property sheet of the form to which you want to attach them menu,
On the "Menu Module" property give the full path of the menu you want to attach.
if the menu is in the same path where your forms modules are then just give the menu module name.

Iphone hacked by scam emails?

A few days ago while I was looking for a job I sent an email (from my mail app in my iphone 4S) to someone who was seeking a babysitter. I received a reply from the person from another email address asking my a bunch of questions (which didn't look right to me since i've done this before) so I checked to see the senders name and email and searched it online and it happens that it was a scam job post, well since then every now and then when i open my mail app the screen (sort of like a contact window which on top says sender and Linda Walker with an email ) pops open and closes in like a second, I can't do anything because it changes/closes screen alone so fast and it only happens when i click on the mail app to open it. I created a new email account and deleted the other one and it still happens. Why??? Is it possible my phone is hacked? How can i know? I haven't done anything to my iphone like jailbreak or however its called or charged my iphone in any public place or my wifi is disconnected, also my phone is software is updated. Please help!!! Im afraid to even check my bank account in my iphone because of that.

No, it is not possible your phone is hacked from an email.
It's most likely a mal-formed email that causes Mail to crash.
Log in to your email account on a computer via webmail, delete the offending email(s) and it should clear the problem.
There was no point in creating a new email account.

Problems in the new itunes

I recently added a song and a tv program to my shopping cart, and when I went to buy them, itunes acted funny, and then just didnt do anything. My songs didnt download or my tv shows either. When I "check for purchases" a big red X shows up and it says "unable to check for purchases. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." One of these songs was Kenny Chesney's new song thats out, and when I try to buy the album, it shows that I can complete my album, and when I try to do that I get the same error. I am able to download other items, and the STORE is available, so I don't understand why I have this problem for 2 days now. Any help sure would be appreciated.

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.
You may get a form reply about the Check for Purchases command. Just email back and tell them that you've tried that and it doesn't work. After an exchange or two, you'll get a non-canned response from a real person.

How to use Microsoft Word's Find and Replace with HTML tags?

I'm trying to figure out how to use the find and replace function in Word to replace html tags. I'd like to be able to change something like this:

To something like this:
random text
I want to replace the open and close tags without changing or interfering with the text between the tags. I'm pretty sure I should use wildcards, but I can't figure out how to use them properly.
Anyone able to lend a hand?

Note, this isn't as easy as you think. You need to code up the complete set of html rules in you implementation. You need to allow for a certain amount of mal-formed html.

Uploading Multiple Files from web client to web server

Am using a Digitally signed applet to pickup files from a specific directory and only to pickup those of a specific type. Applet is called by a HTML converted page and uses the JAVA 1.3.1 plug-in. Client side is ok, but the server side does not work - cannot see how to drop the files down onto the web server.

first here is my interpretation of your prob.
You have a client.From this client you are trying to upload files onto a server.
Finding the files and reading them on the client side is not a prob. The prob is storing them on the server side.
right?
If the above stated prob is right, here is a solution.
1. You have to first inform the server that you are sending the file. Unless you do so the server will not understand when you have started sending the file.
So, initially, the applet which you have written need to communicate with a servlet on the server side.
This can be done using reqs.. .get or post.In the req itself you can even send the name of the folder wherein you want to store the file you are going to transfer later on.
Next, after receiving the folder name, the servlet can now understand that next file data is going to be received.
The applet now sends the file which is received by the servlet and stored appropriately.
You need to explicitly write a servlet to receive a data into the file and then store the file into appropriate folder.
