Managing membership of local group - Domain Local groups not permitted?

Hi all
I would like to populate the membership of the local Administrators group on certain member servers using the "Local users and groups" feature of GPP. The object picker does not let me choose groups with Domain Local scope.
Does anyone know the reason for this? Is there any workaround?
I can add domain local groups to the membership of the Adminstrators group manually, so it seems strange I can't do it via GPO.

I cannot confirm. I can add both DL and GG. What OS are you using? Here:
Win 7 Enterprise 32 bit.

WLS61SP2 on Solaris 8 (Sun), non-clustered server group, one Managed Server
suddenly gets no longer visible from Administration Server (on a different

Server Group .wlnotdelete cleanup and restart, seemingly unrelated to server
load, does not happen to "twin brother" server on yet another machine.

Vignette's dev environment can no longer save any modified JSP to (its own
Application deployed on) the server group (through deploy.refresh via the
admin server) and hangs.
Doesn't seem Vignette's fault yet, as it never happened in another very

Grant access to modify membership of local administrator group

hello
I am active directory administrator and i like to grant a certain user access to modify membership of the local administrator group for computers in a specific OU only. i tried to do that via delegation of control to modify membership of the group,
however when he tries to modify administrators group of one computer on that ou, he gets a message with access denied. Is there a way to do that other than delegation of control.

According to your description, you want to grant the right to modify local administrator group membership on computers which belong to one specific OU through ADUC, right?
I don’t think it is possible via delegate control, since local administrator group membership can only be modified by local administrator on the local machine, what you did only grant the right to modify the group membership of
the specific OU, which means adding/deleting members within this OU.
In other words, you need to add this user into the local administrator group on local machines to achieve your goal.

Members of Domain Local Groups not showing up through net group command

I am trying to get the list of members in a Domain Local Group using "NET GROUP" command, but unable to get the member list.
I get the message "group not found", whereas members of Global Groups are visible.

OIM: Manage Oracle Internet Directory Groups

Hello,
In the Oracle Identity Manager Web Administrative And User Console, there is a option to manage User Groups. I was wondering if it is possible with OIM to manage groups (objectclass groupOfUniqueNames) that are at Oracle Internet Directory. Or this option is only to manage internal OIM user groups?

Sagar, I was successful recociling group lookups.
Now, I want to import the OID groups to OIM to be managed via web adminsitration console. For this, I'm running (I suppose that I'm right) OID Group Recon Task. However, I'm always getting the following error:

Could anyone help me please.
I think It is something to log on as batch, but I don't know.

I am acutally having the same issue.
I made sure the user belongs to "Log on as Batch Job" policy and also an administrator.
However, on the credential page, It will not take any password. The errors are same as the ones provided above.
Does anyone know where this process is looking to get the user information?
Are there any other way of getting around this?
One info. that I must tell you is that on my computer, i have two user account with same login name, one belongs to domain, and one is local machine login.
When I installed Oracle9iAS, i used the domain username. Currently I was only able to add my local machine user name to the policy becue it will not recognize my domain name login. It produces an error from a window stating "Domain does not exists or can't be contacted"
With the above statement in mind, I would appriciate any help. Thank you very much in advance.

Server 2012 Datacenter - local IIS site opens locally but not from PCs on the domain

This is my first multi-server domain server install on an existing domain. I have a new Server 2012 installed on our domain. This server will host an intranet site, not public facing. I managed to install IIS and have a working ASP/.Net site. I can open
the site while on the server. However, the server denies access to the site from PCs on this domain. I tried changing the security options for the site directory but I can't find the issue.
The directory security objects allowed include:
MYSERVER\IIS_IUSRS
But, "MYSERVER" does not acknowledge the security object:
MYDOMAIN\IIS_IUSRS
What settings have I missed? The default site on port 80 is working locally and from the domain. My site is on port 8080 and is not located under the c:\inetpub folder, where the working default site is located.

Update:
I installed SQL Express 2012 and Management Studio 2012 locally on "MYSERVER". Again, I can attach to my instance of SQL locally from this server but using SSMS2012 from my PC on the domain, the SQL instance is not found. This must be related to
the above issue.

Hello experts,
Regarding transaction FS00 or FSS0, i would like someone to give me a clear view of the utility of value field XSALH "Indicator: Only Manage Balances in Local Currency".
When creating a GL account, from a technical perpestice, in which case i should activate this flag and in which case i should not activate it ?
What are the different impact for the user, except the fact that balances are updated only in local currency ?

If the indicator Only Balances in Local Currency is selected in the master record, transactions figures are only managed for amounts translated into local currency.
You should select this field for clearing accounts where you want to clear accounts by assigning items with the same local currency amount with one another, without necessitating exdchange rate difference postings.
The indicator must be set in cash discount and GR/IR clearing accounts. This should not be activated for Reconciliation accounts for customer and vendors.
This indicator is usually set in balance sheet accounts that are not managed in foreign currencies.
IF this indicator is not set, to clear the open items, both the local and foreign currency amounts of the items to be clared must match. In such a case, it may be required to post an exchange rate difference postings.

Calculate Set membership based on Group Membership

I know this has been asked before, but I haven't really found a clear answer to the problem - so here's me re-igniting the fire!
I want to calculate set membership based on group membership? So, I have a set called "My Set" - its members should be all the members of the group "My Group" (The group is a Manual group, not a criteria based one). I know that Sets cannot
refer to Groups when using "Resource ID" - bummer!
I guess this can be done using a custom action WF which triggers whenever a member is added to the Group and goes and it goes and updates the Set with the ExplicitMember reference, but I'm wondering if there's a more elegant solution using some OOTB activities?

I've done this using a custom WF, but still curious to see if there is some other way around it.
For those interested, the custom workflow gets the member being added from the request, and adds it to the set - fairly simple really. I'm using the FIM PowerShell WF activity for this, in conjunction with the fantastic FIM PowerShell Module

Hello Marek,
I suppose you are not planning to do any kinds of advanced config using several VLANs and multiple SSIDs so let's just make your configuration simple and working.
In short, you need to remove all references to VLAN 1 and to any subinterfaces possibly related to the VLAN 1. This means in particular (follow these steps in sequence):
Remove the Dot11Radio0.1 subinterface entirely
In the Dot11Radio0 section, remove the encryption vlan 1 mode ciphers tkip command
In the dot11 ssid ciscowifi section, remove the vlan 1 command
After performing these steps, make sure that the ssid ciscowifi and encryption mode commands are still present in the Dot11Radio0 configuration, and if not, reenter them.

Screen 910 getting saved in Local object - not even asking for Package

Hi ABAPers,
I am using Enhancement CONFPP07 and for this created Z project in CMOD.
When I am creating the screen 910 for the screen exit SAPLCORU_S of that Z Project, that 910 is getting created in Local object not even asking for the Package and the request.
I tried to create that screen from the SE80 in the function group XCOF, there also it is getting saved in local object.
I tried to do it from SE51 also, but arrived that screen in the local object only.
Please Suggest me with your valuable comments.

Do a version management on the screen and see if it was ever created before and then deleted. If so, reassign it to the package you want.
