Planning function to copy version A of year 2007 to Version B of 2008 - IP

I have a copy planning function which has a variable on from version and to version and it works fine.I can copy.So version to version for the same year works fine.
           Another requirement is to copy Version A of year 2007 to version B of year 2008.For this in the planning function I made version,year and calyearmonth all 3 as changeable and have variables on from version from year and to version and to year.I don't have a variable on calyearmonth.
          I run the query for version B and year 2008 and CALYEARMONTH 1/2008-12/2008 and it returns empty results as there is no data for version B for year 2008.then I execute the planning function to copy data from version A and year 2007 to version B and year 2008.I am getting the following error "CalyearMonth is not included in selection".I ran the query for 1/2008 - 12/2008.I didn't understand this.
        In the planning function filter I don't have any filter for calyear and calyear month.But it is there in the query.

Hi Siva,
Since you do not have the calmonth as the change characteristic in your plannning function.The values would be copied to year 2008 with month as #.
So there would be no values for months of 2008 and hence you are getting that error.
You need to copy the month figures also for data to be seen in the report.

How manually remove a DP in SCCM 2007 ?

Hello,
we had a disaster and our old SCCM 2007 site server is dead.
We already have a SCCM 2012 site server up and running and a old SCCM 2007 distribution point still up.
we need to convert the old DP to a 2012 DP.
How can i manually remove the DP from SCCM 2007 without an access to the console, site server, bd, etc...?
On the DP, Can I just remove all the share and permission?

If you don't use the 2007 environment any more you can delete the old shares and folders.

Manually change version number in doc library

We are uploading some documents to a MOSS Doc Library and need to force the version of some documents to start at a specific version number - is this possible?

      Moss 2007 transact the version internally, that seems no direct way to set version number manually. Here I have some methods you can take reference:
1.       If you want to directly set a low version document to a higher one, e.g. 1.0 à 5.0. You can achieve it through repeating checkout/checkin operation.
2.       To the contrary, if you want to directly set a higher version document to a lower one, e.g. 5.0 à 1.0. Then you can try follow process:
1)     Find the document you need to change the version number in the document library.
2)     Hover on the document. Click on Version History of the dropdown menu.
3)     Right click on the Version of the document and click Save and choose a location for the document (i.e. your desktop) and Close. And OK.
4)     Return to the Document Library.
5)     Click on Upload Document.
6)     Find the location of the Document you saved .
7)     Enter your Version Comments and click Save.

How do i connect manually to Exchange 2013 from Outlook 2007/2010 in another forest?

I have a source organization: Windows 2003 domain + Exchange 2010 SP3 + smtp domain acme.com
Target organization: Winows 2012 R2 domain + Exchange 2013 CU3 + smtp domain acme.com
We are migrating to target organization.
I want to connect Outlook 2007/2010 to their target mailbox (Exchange 2013) from a machine which is joined to Source DOmain.
I couldn't use autodiscover, because as the machine is joined to source domain, autodiscover it's mapping to Exchange 2010.
It only works when I machine is joined to target domain.
Any idea how to connect manually to eXCHANGE 2013 mailbox from a machine which is joined to source domain?

Firstly, I’d like to explain, Autodiscover service can be used cross forest:
1. the two forests must be trusted.
2. configure a mail contact in the original forest.

Problem Upgrading Adobe Update 9.5.2 manually Current Version is 9.4.0(Mac OS X)

I know i can go to the help and select check for Update and it will update reader with the latest version.
I am running with the Adobe Reader 9.4.0 on my Mac OS. I tried upgreading it to the Adobe Reader 9.5.2 (manually).
I have downloaded the update from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/9.x/9.5.2/misc/AdbeRdrUpd952_all_i386.app.zip
when i double click on the AdbeRdrUpd952_all_i386.app it ask for to choose the copy of Adobe Reader to update.
So i selected the location /Applications/Adobe\ Reader\ where my current Adobe Reader.app is (Adobe Reader 9.4.0) but farthe i am not able to select OK button.
Kindly guide me how i can update my adobe Reder with this 9.5.2 version.
But i am looking for a manual process is it possible?

International Address Versions in SAP CRM 2007 WebUI

Hi gurus,
I have activated International Addres Versions in SPRO.
In the SAP GUI, now there's a button 'intern. versions' available in transaction BP. When users create a new business partner, they can enter an address version in the international character set ( i.e. Cyrillic, Chinese, ... )
I was wondering how I can do the same functionality in the CRM WebUI ? Is it possible to something similar ? I didn't manage to insert or display these international address versions ...

Thanks for your reply.
I have entered into my user id through su01.
There I could find only one role: SAP_CRM_UIU_FRAMEWORK.
I have removed that role and came out of the SAP CRM system and login to SAP CRM and webui, still by default interaction center page is displaying.
I have checked my role in Org model and no where it is assigned.
Though there is no roles and no assignment in org model, I have a doubt why it is showing the Interaction center screen.
Please let me know, If you have any more suggestions.

Manually Attaching Version to Master

Hello Everyone,
I recently switched to Aperture from iPhoto and have spent quite a bit of time trying to get organized. I like Aperture's organizational style much more, though, so I'm hoping it'll be worth it in the end.
One problem I've run into is that Aperture imported iPhoto's version edits as 2 masters, typically stacked. So I'll have the version that I edited using iPhoto, plus the master that iPhoto was working off of, in a little 2 item stack, with no connection whatsoever between them. What I'm interested in doing is basically attaching the edited version back to the Master file. Is that at all possible?

The best you can hope for is to have the master and the "version" stacked. That is very useful, though.
IPhoto does non-destructive editing, but it does so by saving a new complete file of your photo, while leaving the original intact and not changed. Aperture, on the other hand, does its non-destructive editing by saving the master and then a set of instructions, the "version", which it applies to the master. In other words, your iPhoto library doesn't have Aperture versions. You imported two different photos. Two different photos will always be two different photos to Aperture, even if they look like the came from the same source to you or me.
These photos will be stacked in your Aperture library, but it's not likely that you will have any photos stacked for this particular reason again. I am in a similar situation as you. I have many "iPhoto" stacks in my Aperture library from my JPG+RAW shooting. In iPhoto, the RAW and JPG were someone shown once (I.e., one photo for each RAW/JPG pair), but each of the two files was stored in the iPhoto library. When I migrated my iPhoto library into Aperture, Aperture properly found two pictures for each, and now they are all stacked. Aperture would normally hide the JPG and work directly with the RAW (and consequently show only one entry for each JPG/RAW pair). I don't like it too much, but my only alternative is to go back in time and start using Aperture earlier. <sigh>

Which version of Aperture would be recommended for a 2007 Intel iMac?

Just wondering what version of Aperture is going to be best to use on this system, I may be able to pick up an old version 2nd-hand (dated 2007, which matches the date of the iMac) which I assume is possibly Aperture version 1.
The iMac is a 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM, work will just be light with compact camera digital photos and the occasional scanned document or photo, mainly to fill in the gaps where iPhoto has had some of the finer controls removed.
Will Aperture work along-side iPhoto? So, in iPhoto (the one that comes with Tiger, '08 I believe), will there be a menu option to 'Send to Aperture', or does Aperture make it's own library and basically replace iPhoto?

Normally I would agree, but this iMac is running Tiger 10.4.11, I believe Aperture 3 requires Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
The reason the iMac is on Tiger is that there was some problem with a couple of applications immediately crashing when they were run, they did not do this until just the other day and then they would always do it, I couldn't find a logical explanation for this and after a few attempts at re-installing bits and bobs I decided to back up and try a clean install of Snow Leopard, this went on OK but none of the Combo updates would install, they all failed as soon as the install started; this could have been due to a bad install from disc but no other discs showed any problems and I have used those discs before without any problems (plus there was no indication of a bad install). I decided to take Snow Leopard off the machine and go back to it's original Mac OS install DVDs (Tiger). It is fully updated as far as Tiger and the rest of the software on there goes, it is perfectly usable.
This iMac is always going to be slow compared to an i5 model, I just do not want to bog it down too much with modern features and processor expectations. Also, while it is running cleanly I am hesitent to put Snow Leopard back on it in case it runs in to the same problems again.
Oh, and I ran repair permissions and disk verify several times (including when booted from the install discs) before resorting to re-installing Mac OS.
The upshot is that I need Aperture that will run on Tiger, which is probably v1 but I don't know about v2 etc. I am mainly interested to know whether or not v1 is a turkey and one to avoid.

Conditional Text - multiple versions of manual

I'm using FrameMaker 7.2.
I want to have 2 versions of a manual. Version 1 is the standard version. Version 2 is customized for a particular customer. I understand how to set up and apply the conditional tags and how to turn them on and off.
There is a slight variation of the screens between software versions, so I will have separate screen caps where they differ.
Version 1 will have 2 more chapters than Version 2. Title and release date will be different so there will be different title pages.
Is the best approach to set up 2 different book files so that everything generates correctly? I'm also converting the book to html help using Webworks Publisher SE (that doesn't include any of the variable screen caps). I don't want this to be a nightmare to maintain.

You will need to have two different book files, as you can not conditionalize files in a book file.
You would then probably need to have two different intro files for the different info that you indicate. Use variables for some of these if they are required in diffent parts of the book so that you can import the info quickly prior to generating ouput.
Your output workflow with two books should always be to first import the variables across the book files, update the book and then create output.
When using different screen captures or graphics, you must make certain that the anchor holding the anchored graphic frame is conditionalized. One practice is to have a dedicated paratag for only anchoring graphics in your flows and then conditionalize that paragraph.

the SAP Desktop Office Integration (which is the primary method to do Office Integration) is supported with MS Office 2007 as of SAP R/3 Enterprise (SAP_BASIS 6.20). See note 1067844.
Supported R3 Releases :
- SAP_BASIS R3 Release 620 and above.
- Corrections required as in SAP note 972579 and 1012985.
- If you are using Excel Inplace View on ALV or document with Macro,
      please refer note 696069
Supported Frontend:
- SAP Gui for Windows 640 patch 22 and Above
- SAP Gui for Windows 710 from first patch.

Exchange server 2007 still on version 8.1 even after applying sp3

hello,
I have exchange 2007 version 8.1 and I want to migrate to exchange 2013, so in order to to that I need to upgrade the exchange 2007 to sp3.
I install the sp3 without any issue but the version of the exchange 2007 still 8.1, I try to re install but it show that the sp3 already installed.
any idea about this issue?

As is well known, you
must patch Exchange 2007 to the very latest Service Pack and Update Rollup before you attempt to do anything with Exchange 2013.
According to your description, I suggest you should check the rangeUpper value by using ADSI Edit . If the value was 14625. This indicates
your schema is at Exchange 2007 SP3.

Can you try this please-
1) Install SCOM agent on the Server hosting the DB.
2) Import SQL retail MP (of course of the same version as that of your DB)
3) Enable the Discoveries for the DB.
4) Create a login/user on the SQL DB and assign it read access. This login/user is the account that is configured in SCOM as Action account. If its a separate Run As Account then refer

Also you can grant "log on locally" rights to your run as account.
5) Restart "System Center Management" service on the SQL server.

Ok, i have seen already the authorization for document manual numbering and it is available only for 8.8 versions and not on 2007 version of SAP.
Anyway, when im doing the testing i found out that for banking transactions like incoming, user can still use the manual series even if he has no authorization for manual document numbering.
Another concern from our client was the use of manual series only, is it also possible in SAP? I tried to give user authorization in the manual document numbering and no authorization to series group no but user cannot already open the transaction window. Let us know if their inquiry is possible so i could inform them that only manual series can be restricted.

Manually establish database connection everytime!!

This issue just happen recently,
whenever I try to log in to SAP portal, I have to manually key in the db details everytime in order to establish the connection.
In other words, SAP cannot remember the db connection, which make me really troublesome.
I had try to ping the server and is working fine.
So far I have no idea what might cause the issue happen.
Just hope I can get solution right here.
Machine info:
Win xp pro SP 3
SAP version:
SAP Business One 2007 B (8.60.041) SP:00 PL:20

You would have to take in all of the information needed to connect to the database as instance properties for your target type. So each time someone creates an instance of your target type, they'd have to enter the connection details for the repository database.
The specifics of what are needed should be in the extensibility guide where the SQL fetchlet is documented.
