Mapping for fields in Standard cube

Hi,
There arent any mappings for the date related fields 0RPM_MONTH,0RPM_YEAR,..etc. in the business content cube 0RPM_c02 capacity management. I could not find any relevant mappings in sap help also.Please provide any pointers as to how to update these fields as these are the main field in the standard BC reports.

Because there no data in these fields 2 of the standard reports return with no applicable data.But all other fields in the report have appropriate data.What i would like to understand is since it is being used as main field in the report and not been provided a mapping in BC based on what shall go and update it so that i can get data in the report.

I got one DescirptorException that states that the descriptor misses mapping for one database field.
However I have such field mapped through workbench.

The is my mapping file for DeviceDB and ContactDB. The ContactDB is a subclass of the DeviceDB.
Clearly from the mapping below, the DeviceDB has a mapping for the database filed DeviceID.

Your 1-1 mapping must not be read-only.
deviceMapping.readOnly();Read-only means the mapping will not write the field, and should only be used when another mapping does write the field.

Missing mapping for field error

Here is the set up:
Person extends Party using InheritanceType.JOINED
Household extends Party_Relationship using InheritanceType.JOINED
Household has a Set of Persons mapped One to Many unidirectional
When I use PrimaryKeyJoinColumn on the Person and/or Household to rename the column say to PERSON_POID instead of PARTY_POID and when adding Persons to the Household Set the following error occurs:

Exception Description: Missing mapping for field [PERSON.PARTY_POID].

What am I missing? If I do not use the PrimaryKeyJoinColumn mapping this error does not occur. I am stumped! Any help is greatly appreciated.

The alternative like you mentioned, is to not use a PrimaryKeyJoinColumn to rename the column in the joined inheritance case.

Search help for field in Standard Transaction

Hi Experts,
      We have a requirement to have an F4 search help for a standard field .
( Plant, werks, Tx AS01 ). This field is not associated with any standard search help, but it throws F4 values programmatically .
   We need to associate a standard search help ( BETR_BUKRS ) with this Plant field.
1. How to proceed abt it ( As it is a part of module program , can we straight away associate with the search help in the property ) ,it is a field of standard Transaction .
2. If we include search help above, what will happen to the already existing F4 functionality ? Can we have both in tabs ?

     Thanks for the input, but this field does NOT have any ON VALUE REQUEST event associated with it ....
   as soon as F4 is hit, it goes to Function help_start ,so I don't think we can make any changes here as it is standard .
   I think including a standard search help will help....how to achieve this ?

find your extract structure name from RSA6 or RSA5 and then go to SE11data type>give your extract structure name and click on 'where used list', then select 'programs'..
You can see the name of the extract programs written by sap.go to the program then you can find the tables and their fields...

My doubt is when i was unmapped in TR even though the data has come, so what is the use of unmapped here.

How to map customer field to standard field using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ?

i am trying to transfer a customer field from SRM to ECC60 through BAPI_PO_CREATE1;
In SRM the EAN field does not exist; Thus we have created it.
While transfering the PO to ECC, we try tu use BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI to map the SRM field to the EAN11 field in EKPO.
However, we do not find the EAN11 field in the BAPIPOITEM structure.
Steps already done :

How do we map a customer field coming from an external system to an ECC standard field ?

Search Help for field of standard table used on non standar report

Hi all.
I need to know whether is posible to set up a "Search Help" / "Matchcode" for one standard field (LFBK-BKTVP) of a standard table (LFBK) that is going to be used on the selection screen of one new non standard report ZFK01.
I was wondering if this could be posible under any special attributes, set up, ... for this field in the corresponding screen, but do not really know nor if that would work neither what to set up. Any other workaround would also be welcome.

Mapping for field which appear more than once.

My source and target structure is:

Field3 may appear a few times in the source message.
For example:

I need to pass to the target structure the "Field3" who's "Child1" is greater than 5 and "Child2" is greater than 10 and "Child3" is greater than 15.
My problem is that the condition is executed only once for the first "Field3",
and if the check returns
"True" all the "Field3" are copied.
if "False" is returns no one of the "Field3" is passed.
How should i hold the context for it, in order each of the "Field3" elements passes the condition?

Translation for fields on Standard Screen ( Added Field via Extensibility Explorer )

Hi Experts,
I have added two fields in a Standard Quick create and added an Embedded Component in a Standard Thing Inspector.
Issue is client wants that field's labels to be multilingual now as i am not able to download the translation file(xlif) into local machine how would i achieve this?
and i m not even able to translate the HEADER of the TAB which i attached as EC in a standard TI.
It would be great ig any one can show some pointers or workaround...

I have created Code List Data Type in SDK and have around 100 Code values and each to be maintained into 3 lang FR, ES, IT for descriptions.
XLIFF file is XML in coding and I have my values and translations ready in Excel file.
Any way to quickly get the translations from Excel into XLIFF file easily OR any shortcut in SDK that I do not have to manually keep on copy-paste each translation as target tag in this XML code of XLIFF file.
Even tools does not seems to be user friendly. Please advice with method OR tool to complete this.

Basic would be ;
RESULT_FIELDS -xxx = <SOURCE_FIELDS> -xxx
you have the source fields as source, and result fields for as the target. In between you can check some conditions as in other routines of transformation.
BEGIN OF tys_SC_1, shows your source fields ( in your case DSO chars and key figures)
BEGIN OF tys_TG_1, , shows your result fields ( in your case Cube characteristics)

Question about key mapping for bank data in SP3 standard Vendor Repository

Hello Colleagues:
The situation is the following:
1) MDM Standard vendor repository does not use Key Mapping for the qualified table data "Bank Details". This makes sense because normally you would pay a vendor in the same account and bank regardless of the company or R/3 system you are paying him from.
2) However, here in my project customer don't have the same bank data for all of the 3 R/3 Systems. Furthermore, they would like to pay a vendor in a diferent bank and account number; depending on where the payment is generated (Company or R/3 system).
Because of this, I though about creating a lookup table for the banks which would use key mapping. I did this and I had no trouble importing bank data in to it.
Now I have this tables:
1) Banks: Lookup Flat:
Country and Bank Key as display fields.
2) Bank Details: Qualified Flat:
2.a) Field "Bank" as a non-qualifier display lookup field which points to a record on "Banks" table (Described in number 1).
2.b) The rest of the fields (Account number, Account holder, Reference, etc.) as qualifier non-display fields.
This aproach works well in data manager.
However, when I try to import vendors from R/3, I'm not being able to map the bank details, not even with "compound field" functionality, because I cannot map the display fields in the "Banks" lookup table (Described in number 1); in the "Map Fields/Values" tab in the Destination fields pane, it won't show any fields from this table.
Also, I'm not very sure if I will be able to syndicate this data back to the R/3 systems correctly, this is; replicate only the banks which exist on each R/3 client system.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Please help.

activate the CRM DSs by scenario:
1) Activate the application component hierarchy (tcode RSA9). Changes made to the application component hierarchy in the CRM system can be transferred to the BW using the "Edit Application Component Hierarchy" (SBIW - Postprocessing of DataSources).
SAP Note 434886 must be implemented in CRM 3.0 before the application component hierarchy is activated.
2) Activate the Business Content DataSources (tcode RSA5).
Select/enter the application component and choose Execute (F8).
To compare the shipped and active versions, choose the 'Select Delta' pushbutton. If there is no active version of the DataSource, it is selected automatically.
To activate the shipped version, choose the 'Transfer DataSources' pushbutton.
3) Management of the versions of the BW-Adapter metadata (tcode BWA5). All DataSources are displayed that are managed by the BW Adapter.
As in transaction RSA5 (Service API Metadata Activation), the 'Select Delta' function can be used to select the inactive DataSources or compare shipped and active versions.
You can also go directly to the screen for maintaining DataSources that are managed by the BW Adapter.
The 'Compare Version' function makes a detailed comparison of the shipped and active versions.
All BW-Adapter metadata is considered when versions are compared:
Header information (Table SMOXHEAD)
Mapping information (Table SMOXRELP)
Global selection conditions (Table SMOXGSEL)
Attribute key fields (Table SMOXAFLD)

Creation of DSO for a standard cube

Hi All,
I am new in BI modeling area & looking for help from you experts. What I have to do is , I need to create a DSO for a standard Cube 0PS_CS01.
In this I am doing is to take that data source which is in BI content for this Cube and from there I am extracting data fields and keyfields. Once this DSO is ready I will create update rules from this standard Data source to this newly created to DSO and after that I will create Update rules for Cube based on this DSO.
Can you guys help me to find the best way to collect keyfields & data fields based on the data source. Also suggest me if it is the right way to design data model fot the same as I desribed above.
All helpful replies will be appriciated with points.

1>double click on cube(0PS_CS01) --copy all characteristics(these will be key fields in DSO).
DSO only take 16 key fields so rest will go under data fields.most unique 16 fields will go under key fields.
2.all the keyfigues will go under data fields of DSO.
change settings and activate DSO.create transformations between (DSO and DS) and ( DSO and CUBE);

if you need further info just check these two 0FIAP_C03(cube) and 0FIAP_O03(DSO).compare the characteristics and key figure with the key fields and data fields respectively.you will get good idea.
in the above cube the data flow is like DS-DSO-CUBE

XI Message Monitoring - Mapping custom fields for search in monitor?

Is it possible to map a reference field so that searching for a specific message is more user friendly?
For example, we produce hundreds of outbound SHPMNT04 messages each day. Would it be possible to map a field such as E1EDT20.TKNUM (Shipment Number) to a field in the monitor (SXMB_MONI) such as "Outbound Reference" so we can easily search on this field?
Currently we use a combination of WE09 and IDX5 to find a specific message. Obviously, this is cumbersome and time-consuming.
