Mapping Prospects on google map

Has anyone attempted to put a web applet of a google/yahoo map which will plot the location of my customer (I have done so much) and then show all my prospects in a 10 mile radius. The prospects should come from CRM OD.
If anyone has attempted this, I would really appreciate the help.

Plugins...... I guess that depends on what you mean.
CRMOD offers a WSDL that gives you the ability to perform possibly everything that can be done from within CRMOD itsefl. Bungee Connect will import the WSDL, listing the functions inside of a dev environment, making it fairly easy to see what type of operation can be performed on each object.
For example, I just finished coding an application to maintain contact information in the CRMOD. I imported the Contact WSDL which brought two libraries of CRMOD objects into my development project. Choosing the operations and passing the correct object types to each function is fairly simple. I am polishing up this simple application and it should be available to the public by Monday. It will be a great example of how to connect to CRMOD and begin pushing data back and forth.
On the Google Maps side, since Google Maps requires a lot of javascript to interact with, we have simplified interaction by creating a Google Maps control that you can drag and drop onto a form just like any other label, button, etc. We have examples of how to do this in our documentation. So once you get connected to CRMOD, it's really just a matter of formatting the data to allow the Google Map control to read it.

Map marker + geolocation (google maps)

I'm currently working on embedding a google map in my app. The geolocating already works ( I used this code: DPS Tips HTML5 Examples, thanks Bob!), but I just can't add markers to the map. I tried different codes but none seem to work. I would also need the markers to have their names shown (e.g. hotspot 1, hotspot 2).
Has anyone here found a solution for this and would be kind enough to share?

hi! I used the code for geolocation from the link above, and this code for the marker: Simple markers - Google Maps JavaScript API v3 — Google Developers
It both works independently, but I can't mix them. I also can't find a way to modify my marker ( own icon) and add an info box.
I tried some of the following links to try and work those aspects to the marker file, if it helps with finding a solution:

How to open a google map link in google maps app?

Hello,
I would like to post a link to a custom google map on my blog that could be open on Iphone with the google maps app. Someone would have an idea?
There maybe a solution with google map url scheme ("comgooglemaps:") but I don't see how to implement it

I think this is not possible as a link on the iPhone will default to the Apple Maps app and there is no way to change this.

N97 Ovi maps clashing with Google maps or sports t...

I have a UK Vodafone N97, Had Ovi maps working a treat and really pleased with it. However, I just installed google maps and then Nokia Sports tracker. Sports tracker wouldn't "track " at all and this then stopped Ovi maps from finding a signal.
However, Google maps finds 3-5 satellites and plots very quickly so I know the GPS receiver is working fine.
I uninstalled Sports tracker and Google maps, deleted all Ovi map data and did a soft reset, then re-installed Ovi maps for the UK ( I can not delete Ovi maps app from the phone, software V21)
I still cannot get a lock with Ovi maps but having put Google maps back on, that works fine!!
Any thoughts other than a hard reset as I have so much installed on the phone.

Google maps uses a different server, and installing it may have changed the server settings in the phone location settings. Go to Menu>Apps>Location>Positioning>Positioning Server> make sure that the server is still supl.nokia.com

N97 Nokia maps "System error" / google maps won't ...

Since my N97 was unboxed Nokia maps has refused to load, it just beeps and says "System error". That's it! Any clues on how to get this working? It's pretty annoying as it's one feature I was looking forward to using.
Funnily enough I installed google maps and that won't open either, but there's no error message, it just makes the screen blink once then back to the menu.

IOS6 - Terrible Maps - When is Google Maps coming back

I have just installed iOS6 and I am so disappointed with the new Maps application. Steve Jobs would have never allowed such a mediocre application to be included in the iOS.
Apple, please bring back Google Maps so that we can actually use for our real life!

I agree, I dont like the new maps app at all. Its slow to load the map compared to how google used to load where Im at. I updated to ios 6 on my 4S this morning and am very dissapointed in the maps app.
The location is wrong, maps are old in satellite view.
I tried to get a route from my current location to home and got the message directions could not be found between these two locations.
I heard they get the data from tomtom, so why is it that my actual tomtom in my truck is much better at getting directions than this new map app? surely they should have the same data updates.....
Ive resorted to hiding the apple map app on a homescreen page and adding the shortcut to maps.google.com on my home screen instead. Hopefully they will update it to where it is actually working better soon. I doubt they will ditch it with investing so much in mapping companies etc. but they could at least get it working better.

How to launch map application from google map link

Hello,
I am looking to find a way to have the map application on an iphone launch when someone opens this link from a website on their phone:

It only seems to open the map in safari and I can't find anything about how to change this by searching the web. Any help would be appreciated.

I do not see the parameters you are using in the list of supported parameters. Can you express that same position using the supported parameters?

Apple maps has received a poor performance rating just after introduction of the iPhone 5. I am running google maps app on the phone. Siri cannot seem to get me to a specific address. Where does the problem lie? Thanks.

Where does the problem lie? Also can anyone tell me the hierarchy of use between the Apple Maps, SIRI, and Google maps when the app is on the phone? How do you choose one over the other as the default map usage? Or better still how do you suppress SIRI from using the Apple maps app when requesting a "go to"?
I have placed an address location into the CONTACTS list and when I ask SIRI to "take me there" it found a TOTALLY different location in the metro area with the same street name. I have included the address, the quadrant, (NE) and the ZIP code into the CONTACTS list. As it turns out, no amount of canceling the trip or relocating the address in the CONTACTS list line would prevent SIRI from taking me to this bogus location. FINALLY I typed in Northeast for NE in the CONTACTS list (NE being the accepted method of defining the USPS location quadrant) , canceled the current map route and it finally found the correct address. This problem would normally not demand such a response from me to have it fixed but the address is one of a hospital in the center of town and this hospital HAS a branch location in a similar part of town (NOT the original address SIRI was trying to take me to). This screw up could be dangerous if not catastrophic to someone who was looking for a hospital location fast and did not know of these two similar locations. After all the whole POINT of directions is not just whimsical pasttime or convenience. In a pinch people need to rely on this function. OR, are my expectations set too high?
How does the iPhone select between one app or the other (Apple Maps or Gppgle Maps) as it relates to SIRI finding and showing a map route?
Why does SIRI return an address that is NOT the correct address nor is the returned location in the requested ZIP code?
Is there a known bug in the CONTACTS list that demands the USPS quadrant ID be spelled out, as opposed to abreviated, to permit SIRI to do its routing?

siri will only use apple maps, this cannot be changed. you could try google voice in the google app.

Google Map Integration with Map Viewer is not working

My MapViewer Version: Ver11_1_1_7_B130111
I have created a Google Map (with Type of Map Source as "Google Maps") in Oracle Map Viewer and i could see google map in Oracle Map Viewer(using "show Map").
I wanted to show a village map theme over the above google map in a web page and i am using Jdeveloper to integrate map viewer with Village data. I could see the google maps inside Jdeveloper however when i run the Jdeveloper code google map is not shown inside the web page.
I tried with Oracle Maps, Bing Maps as the "map source" in map viewer and tried integrating inside Jdeveloper and got same result (blank screen). However when i tried a different mapviewer ( Base Map ELOCATION.WORLD_MAP from OracleFMW MapViewer Home ) i could see the map in the web page.
I could get all other base maps (created with "internal" as the map source") in the web page, so there is some thing that i am missing with Google Maps, Bing Maps, Oracle Maps. Could you please help me what is that i am missing or point to a help resource?

Using of google map in oracle forms 10g

Hello,
We are on Oracle Forms 10g. We have a requirement of calling a Custom Map application (Like Google Maps) from Oracle Forms 10g.
We want to show the Employee's Hose location in the form when city,street and state is entered.

Google Map in iWork showing Mobile Me

Looking for a little assistance. I have several sites up using iWeb. When I was creating a new site, I inserted a google map but the google map didn't show up... mobileme shows up. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke i checked all of my sites, since they all use that feature. They are all doing the same thing. Is anyone else seeing this issue? Any suggestions on how I can rectify this?

Hi. I am having the same problem, too. I am posting for moral support and help. Somebody mentioned html snippets. I don't know what those are. Those Mobile Me boxes are really annoying when trying to post a google map widget.
I don't have an iphone or an ipod touch, and I am feeling a little left out. It looks like Mobile Me is designed exclusively for those products. What was wrong with .mac? I was very happy with it, especially because it always worked with what I wanted to do. Also, what happened to the icards?

hi there i am trying to add a custom map to my muse site kind of like these ones Cool Grey - Snazzy Maps - Free Styles for Google Maps where the google map is used just restyled. is this doable with muse i have not yet found a way has anyone else tried this? and had any luck?

Remove Zoom scale of Google maps in OBIEE 11g Mapviewer

Hi,
While integrating Google maps with OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 , we are able to see two Zoom scales one for BI layer and another for Base map layer (Google Map).
When we select the former Zoom scale (BI Layer) , our views have been placed in exact countries. But when we select latter one, only base map i.e., Google map is zooming without upholding the views(Color fill,Image,Bar Graph,etc.,).
So is there any way to bring synchronization between two layers with one zoom scale.
Kindly help me to sort out this issue.

? How to clear Recent Directions from Google maps

Does anyone know? I can't and I have like a hundred. I have disabled websearch so that can't be the cause. I also have uninstalled and reinstalled the app...no difference.

Are you signed in? If so, try going to Settings > Map History within Google Maps (assuming you're using version 2, which was released yesterday) and editing there.
You get to Settings by tapping the three horizontal bars in the lower left corner of the Google Maps display.

Setting Google Maps as default Map program

I am using Torch 9810 Ssw V7.0.0 build 2404 on ATT. I have installed Google Maps and it seems to be working fine. Of course the Torch also came with ATT Maps and Blackberry Maps. How to I set up Google Maps as the default map program so that when I click addresses in the address book, on the web, or in email Google Maps is opened rather than Blackberry Maps.
I have searched all of the set up options on the Torch, withing Blackberry Maps and within Google Maps but can not find the this possibility.

You don't, only Apple can do such. However, Google's SDK for their Maps app permits developers of other apps to use Google Maps. Obviously will take time for that to happen.
