Margins print too big in pages

I'm using an imac running 10.8.4 and the latest version of Word and the latest version of Pages.
It's a long story. I've got a document I created in Word. It prints beautifully in word. But when I convert it to a pdf, the links in the TOC cease to work.
If I open the document in Pages and convert that to a PDF the links in the TOC are perfect.
However, the Pages document has massive margins. When I change them ALL to 0, yes, to zero, they are still huge even tho on the wysiwyg page they have effectively disappeared. When I try to print them, they are huge again.
And when I save them as pdfs, they are just as huge.

Pdf and preview printing too big

This problem just began: When I click to print a pdf in either Adobe Reader or Preview, it prints off the page, way too big. The image is fine in the preview window. It happens identically on two printers. Gmail and google and Word docs print fine.
I have clicked FIT and scale in the Reader program, but the result is the same. It's obvioulsy a setting, but the answer is not obvious.

looking again, it prints badly in Chrome, Safari, pdf, preview but NOT Firefox.
And, I was wrong about Gmail. it prints wrong from gmail, too.

Officejet 7610 margins are too big on my Mac

I'm on my second OfficeJet 7610 Wide Format, because HP couldn't fix this problem the first time, so they assumed it was a hardware issue. I don't think it is...
The default margins for this printer are as small as 0.13 inches (3.3mm) based on the specifications. I use a Mac that runs Maverick. I have no issue printing, only that I haven't found a way to reduce the margins down to the default dimensions above. The top and bottom of my prints cut everything off smaller than 0.60 inches. This is a real issue with PDFs, forcing me to chose the "shrink oversize pages" in order to not have the tops and bottoms cut off. I should be able to print at "actual size".
How can I change these margin settings globally?? Making manual margin adjustments in programs like Word, still cut off the tops and bottoms for anything smaller than 0.60 inches. Please help!!

Printing too big

I am a professional photographer and print my folio on an Epson 2100, the print files are held on a desktop hardrive and I have printed three folios with them already using my older titanium powerbook. I just got the latest Aluminium 15" Powerbook and this week started printing another fourth folio from the very same print files on the hard drive, this time however instead of coming out 28cm in height as they always have, they are coming out 29.5cm in height. I have checked all the Epson print settings, scale at 100%, paper size, margins etc. All correct. I tried printing the file from a different application, instead of Photoshop, I used Adobe Lightroom, still 29.5cm in height. I went back to the old laptop, 28cm high, no problem. This means the printer is fine and that something on the new Powerbook is amiss. Can anyone suggest where to start looking?
I am on 10.4.4 and have the latest epson driver for my 2100. The older powerbook is also running 10.4.4.

So I have managed to get the correct output size by rotating the image in Photoshop and printing it as a portrait print in the Epson software but this is clearly a fault as both images are the same size originals but output as different sizes in portrait and landscape formats. Can't explain why it doesn't happen on the older Powerbook.

Pictures that i print from my I-Mac print too Big?

When I go to I-Photo and attempt to print to my HP-7210 printer it prints the photos bigger than the paper. In other words you some of the picture in the original picture on the monitor. Normally loosing a small amount of the print is not a problem but I am printing screen captures from my I phone and part of the print I would like to have is lost because the printed picture is probably 9x11-1/2 and the text outside of the border is important.
Can you tell me how to print i-phone prints so the picture is all on the paper.

Different Printers will have different choices, some even on the printer itself where you put the paper, but in iPhoto look for settings like this when the Print Dialog opens...
Or under iPhoto's File>Page Setup menu item...

Prints too big

Whenever I print from Aperture 3 I find that what comes out of my printer is larger than I asked for. For example, if I print a small print at 15x10 cm what I get is more like 15.3x10.2. Is this normal? Not hugely important in the great scheme of things but it does annoy me and, if I'm to frame my prints, they often don't fit in the frame.
I'm using a still very serviceable Epson SP950 and printing at 1440 dpi through the latest Epson driver (not Gutenprint).

Are you specifying to print borderless? If so, it is standard with Epson printer drivers to oversize so as to properly bleed the edges. Many of the printers and drivers, however, have an expansion setting where you set this expansion to zero. Both my Epson models have that.
This has always been an issue when printing borderless, and is not new to Aperture.

Too big Printer spooler file

I'm using PrintJob Class to print and I have the problem that the files the program build in the spooler printer are too big ( 2MB/page A4), I think the problem could be in the font that I'm using but I don't know why because I'm using "Courier New". I do:

You seem focused on the difference between 33 megabytes binary and a 44 megabytes transfer — the messages have to be encoded as SMTP mail was never intended as a binary transfer mechanism — mail servers transfer printable text messages — and the text-encoded attached binary files are inherently going to be larger than the original files.
You're going to have to raise the mail server limits (which requires administrative access to the mail server), or find an alternate means of transferring the file — mail servers aren't very efficient at large transfers, large files tend to blow out mail server storage quotas, and blow out mail files. Or chunk up the file into smaller files, send the chunks independently, and then concatenate the file remotely. (There are tools around to do this — at the command line, have a look at the zipsplit tool — but I'd generally discourage this approach as it adds effort and complexity to the process.)
The usual approach is a file transfer service. Dropbox or SpiderOak or some other file hosting or file transfer service are the most common approaches here, and are also more efficient than the overhead involved with large attachments sent via a mail server. Many of these file-hosting services offer more than enough storage here, and often as part of a free service tier.
Some folks can and do run their own file-hosting services, but that generally involves configuring and managing a server system and the associated network connections.

Print window frame too big

Now that I'm running Firefox 4.0.1 (on a Vista 64-bit PC), often when I want to print a web page, the frame around the Windows Print box is too big to fit the screen. The buttons that are critical for controlling print functions, and in particular the print command button itself, lie below the Taskbar, out of sight and unreachable in spite of all attempts to reposition the window using the mouse.
I've checked my screen resolution and it's right for my monitor, unchanged since previous versions of Firefox.
I know I can print by hitting Enter on the keyboard, but it's always taking a chance because, unable to see any buttons, I can't confirm that the settings are as I want them to be.
Is there a solution?

I am trying to resolve a similar problem on a Toshiba laptop running Vista. Dialog boxes are being displayed that fill the entire screen truncating the OK, Cancel and Apply buttons that should appear at the bottom of the dialog box. This is happening on all contol panel and games settings dialog boxes. I have tried the Toshiba zoom settings (FN+Space), but this has not foxes the problem.

Apple Mail - Printing without margins and/or headers, multiple pages per sheet

I have orders coming in by email that I need to print out as packing sheets/order tickets. In the email I have the submissions set to come in as html tables, all of a uniform size. I want to print 4 per page, and can do that by selecting 4 emails, "Print", and then 4 pages per sheet in the print settings and it gives me 4 unique orders on one sheet. But the giant standard margins make it so the submission tables are way too small (they could easily be almost double the size and fit fine on the sheet) and I don't want the email header information displayed. This really doesn't seem like too much to ask, I hope it's not really as impossible as all the forums make it seem! In another forum, BDAqua mentioned possibly making a script for this?
The order submissions are generated from my form on Jotform. This is a great form builder, at least in my first-time experience, but seems lacking in output options - reports can only be generated as tables, and on the web-based submission viewer the print options are extremely limited as well. I have also experimented with Excel: Jotform will export submissions all together on one excel spreadsheet, but in my situation that would mean I would have to figure out how to print each row separately. I spent some time on the excel forums and from what people said it sounds like a huge headache and very tedious. I created this form in order to save a lot of time in taking down orders, so it would be really nice to be able to print them directly in quarter-sheet format. Even in full-sheet format, I still wouldn't want the email headers or all the white space.
Any ideas? I'm running 10.9 on a 2009 MacBook Pro 13", and have a basic Brother HL-2070N laser printer and an Epson Workforce 610 (DC8508) - either would serve the purpose, but I doubt this issue has anything to do with which printer I'm using. Thanks for any ideas/feedback!

What you are wanting to accomplish, can be done, but it is not necessarily a simple task and is going to require at least a modicum of programming skill. Filemaker comes first to my mind as offering reasonably powerful data extraction and analysis capabiity as well as the ability to store the transactions in a database and analyze the data in an almost infinite variety of ways. However, this will require the services of a Filemaker analyst and programmer to create and maintain the system. Don't forget the system will need almost continuous maintenance and enhancement.
If you can change the way you receive the orders, there is a large number of shopping cart systems offered by virtually every internet hosting firm that can be adapted to a wide variety of marketing activities and they maintain staffs of programmers to handle the adaptation and maintenance -- at a price.

The print is too big when I print something from a website

When I open my iPad the page is too big for the screen and won't shrink down. The keypad has also become very 'sticky'

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. So big I could only see one or two icons. I couldn't even turn it off to try a reboot because after I pushed the sleep/wake button, I couldn't find the red slide bar. I finally just had to wait for the battery to die, then recharge it, and it looked normal again. I also spoke with several friends who haven either iPads or iPhones, and they've all had this happen to them. I checked my accessibility settings, and Zoom was already off. Pages simply won't support a table with that many rows. If you need that many, you must use another application.
Perhaps the originator could use a tabbed list rather than a table. That's the only way you will be able to contain a list that long in Pages. You can do the conversion yourself if you open the Word document in LibreOffice, Copy the Table, Paste the Table into Numbers, Export the Numbers doc to CSV, and import to Pages. In Pages Find and Replace the Commas with Tabs.
There are probably other ways, but that's what comes to mind here.

Pages and icons (in the tabs and navigation bars) are too big due to 22 upgrade

Due to FF22 upgrade (from 21), all my icons (from webpages, addons and regular buttons) and tabs have got bigger and that's really ugly because of the low resolution of the images. Also considering I have a rather big number of tabs I can just see a smaller number of them and it's annoying.
The zoom of the page is now bigger (given that I has already zoom in in version 21, now the pages are too big and I have to zoom out a page that was correctly zoomed in 21)
Surprisingly the menu bar is intact !
Is that a new graphic convention ? Is there an update of something like GTK+ in this new version that could be responsible of this bug ? And mainly is there anyway to fix it ?
My screen resolution is 1920*1080. And for example with chromium or FF21 the menu have the perfect size.

All these confusing explanations on how to fix something that never should have been changed. It just pisses me off that I now have to get used to inferior graphics because someone thought it would be cool to screw with settings people have obviously been using for who knows how long. I have tried simply zooming down and that doesn't work. I am not going to enter a bunch of techie gobbledeegook and screw up my whole internet experience. I am just PISSED!!!!
How about another version to correct this? Hey, if someone wants to stay with this one, fine. At least give us people who aren't tech wizards an option to stick with what we have and what we have been happy with for years. Now, excuse me.. I need to get away from this.. I am so f***king pissed!!!
30 minutes later: Okay, I went to about:config and a window came up .. pretty much telling me my computer would blow sky high and take me with it. I'm just an old lady who WAS passing my time browsing and playing a few games. Oops, I'm getting mad again. PS I NEVER talk like this, but this has ruined my whole fricken day.
15 minutes later: I decided to give up. I went to play some monopoly at my favorite game site and the pop up window with the game board was unplayable. The board was way down the window and not complete. So, I went back and despite all the warnings went back to Version 21. I have used Firefox for years and have sworn by it and defended it and given it my best reviews. up until now. I absolutely don't want to quit FF, but I don't know all the tech stuff, I guess is required to change formats back to what you are used to. I still can't believe FF would make a drastic change across the board without warning or giving a choice. If I didn't know how to downgrade, I wouldn't be able to use my PC to help me get through each day. Why why why?

Open the document,
Tap the Tools icon (upper right).
Tap Document Set up.
Drag the margins to the position you wish (the actual margin width sould display as you are doing this).
