Masking - Split TO by Storage Type

Hi! I want to create split TO by storage type. I have created the sort profile and split profile. Now, I need to configure when split TO should take place via LE> WM >activities > transfers > processing performance data / TO split. However, I do not want to key in every source or destination storage type or movement type. Is there are way to put in a mask in those fields? I tried * but it didn't work.
Appreciate any help on that.

Hi SF,
I have checked in the system.
You can enter the masked entry for source and destination storage type in the table T312. But you must enter the warehouse number and movement type mandatorily. May be you can check with the user exit MWMTO012 to define your own split ciriteria.
Because generally the transfer order sorting and splitting is done based on the warehouse and movement type combination

    My client doesn't want split TO based on Storage Type.
    System is doing split TO based on SHF storage type.
    Have configured a total of 14 Warehouse numbers (001 to 014).
    Have configured three storage types, FRK, PLT and SHF, for WN 001.
    No SU. No HU.
    Only two of them (004 and  012) are configured for TO split under "Processing performance data processing / Define TO split". WN 001 is not.
    System is creating a separated TO for materials in SHF.
    Release ECC 6.0
    Is there any other place where I can configure TO split based on storage types?

    Its a process of introducing Picking Area's Concept.
    Based on the Storage type, system will create the transfer order, even though you club all the materials from different storage types in one sales order or in one delivery.

  • LT03 for Bulk Storage Types

    Dear SAP-Experts,
    we use ECC 6.0 with WM. First we create an outbound delivery with VL10a/VL01N, after that we create the TOs with the LT03. We are using storage units(SU) and one SU is one palett. When we create an outbound delivery with 2 paletts the system only created 1 TO. But I need 2 TOs. Is there something to change in the customizing? Should I use an User Exit?

    I have never used the split profile in Bulk storage type earlier however i used TO split for other storage type and it works fine for me and i hope the same should work for bulk also.  find below the setting which is required to define the TO Split
    From the below node select --Define Profile
    Define the profile for Performance Data
    Select Profile for Transfer order splitting
    Sort profile for TO splitting
    in my opinion VLENR should work for you however there are multiple option available you can click on the match code button and have a look for other parameter
    Define the movement type,Source storage type , Destination storage type and Profile for the TO split which was define in the above steps

    In config. see all the options under:
    Logistics Execution \ WM \ Activities \ Transfers \ Processing perf. data \ TO split
    Sort and split TO items
    You can assign a performance data profile to a transfer order with the movement type key, source storage type key or the destination storage type key. Since the storage types are on the item level rather than header level in the transfer order, an implicit split is executed for transfer orders with performance data profiles, which makes the performance data profile valid for all items.
    An explicit split may be preferable for organizational reasons. Some examples include executing a split according to picking areas or when a parameter barrier for volume, weight, or target time is reached. A suitable TO item sort is a prerequisite for a meaningful split.

  • ECC6.0 WM creation of one TO per Storage Type

    Hello,
    I'm currently implementing WM at my customer using various Storage Types. During testing we created GR in IM for 2 materials (in one document), one of them is relevant to quality inspection but the other one is not.
    TO creation has been done automatically (as expected) from interim storage type 902 GR area) to interim storage type 917 (quality area) for the first position. Also a position for the second line has been created from 902 to storage type 042 (main shelf).
    Technically this is all OK. However I was expecting to have 2 TO's instead of 1 TO with 2 positions. How can I trigger the system to create a seperate TO per destination storage type?

    Bit rusty on SAP transactions.
    If I have stock in a 'Differences' Storage Type (non-SU) that I want to bring back into storage on 30 different SU's is this possible?
    Other than one by one using LT01. Can I use LT04 in some way?

    You can also mention a specific qunatity in Material Master WM2 as LE quantity.
    Once done you can go ahead with LT01 with Full quantity & that will split in multiple line Items.
    Please use TO creation screen control as 1 i.e. Putaway prep that will help you to entre multiple destination Bins (if differs)

    Can anyone help me to guide, which user Exit/Badi, be used for searching Empty bins, before storage type search. I come to know from one of colleague below message.

    Background: Want to do putaway with storage type 007: Our high rack is  having space (Bins) with different capacity. One rack can have 4 type of racks.

    Thanks for your quick reply. I am trying user exit given by you. Once again I would like to submit my requirements here.
    a) We have 98 racks in Warehouse.
    b) Product is Ball Bearing.
    c) Bearings are handeled in Ea, Issue and Stock unit is Ea
    d) Alternate Unit of Measure is Box, i.e. per box quantity is mentioned into Material Master.
    e) Each Rack is having 5 different type of bins.
    f) We want to fill rack from bottom to top for first rack, and then next rack.
    g) Once we do putaway for any material, each time system should pick Next empty bin, and each bin type is different.
    Case 1) If going with Storage Type 007: 
                    i) Need to maintain palletization data in Material master WM view 2.
                   ii) Can not maintain any capacity check for Capacity utilization in Material Master. Capacity is only Pallatization data.
                  iii) While creating TO, System goes for placemet of material from bottom to Top in Rack, but give similar quantity for each bin,  &  these quantities are defined from Material Master from Palletization data.
                  iv) In this case it is not checking bin capacity.
    My query:
    i)  How can we split quantity during TO Creation based on Next Empty Bin avaialbe with certain capacity and all further bins with other capacity.
    ii) Can we have different type of bins in one storage type if we are going for Storage type 007. or it is mandatory to have similar kind of bins.
    Case 2) If going for Storage type 002:
                  i) Not maintined Palletiztaion data in Material master.
                 ii) Maintining capacity check in WM View 1.
                iii) Maintained Capacity check in Bin master.
                iv) WHile careting TO , system doesnot spilt quantity for next empty bins avaialbe, Only one line item comes for whole quantities. and system throw an error.
    Message Number: Message no. L3068
    Message Details: Maximum quantity for storage bin TR-15 will be exceeded by 740.000 PC
    My query: How can we split TO quantity as per next empty bins available.

  • Sequence change of storage type in TO

    Hi Experts,
    My client requires  to pick the materials in descending order like:
    I have a outbound delivery with number of materials which belong to different storage types.
    suppose one material belong to 005 stor type, another mat belong to 003 stor type & another mat belong to 001 stor type.
    At present for such deliveries system is picking items sequencially means first 001, 003 & 005.
    My client wants make the system to pick the items belong to highest number first and the lowest last like: Pick 005, 003 & 001.
    Can any expert advise me to how to do that.

    In SPRO, go to Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Activities -> Transfers -> Processing Performance Data / TO Split.
    In Define Profiles: -
    For Sort profile for TO splitting, create a profile for the warehouse to be sorted by storage type. There's a check box which appears against the sort field. This is to sort the items in the descending order of the sort field. Check this box.
    For Profile for Transfer Order Splitting, create a split profile to include the above sort profile.
    In Control for Performance Data Processing / Define TO Split: -
    For Performance data control, for a given source and destination storage type and movement, enter the above TO split profile.
    This setting will not split the TO (if no split criteria specified), but sort the items in the TO as per the sort profile.
    Let me know if it works.

    when i try to create TO for certain material through LU04 , the TO created but the source and the destination are the same ( the quality storage type ) see the details of the TO

  • How to delete all HU in one storage type

    Dear experts I did use the /SCWM/ISU for uploading of the stock but now I need to change something in the structure of the storage bins.
    I cannot change anything, because the bins are having HU already. Could someone give me a tipp how I can delete all HUs from one specific storage type?

    Hi Denis,
    If the HUs are empty then the above solutions as Pet and Ifran mentioned should work for you.  Else, if you have stock in the HUs then you need to scrap the stock, you can do this using /n/scwm/adgi look up the HUs then scrap them.  This will empty the bins.

  • Reservation of stock at Storage Type level in Warehouse

    My client is currently using ORACLE ERP system and they are migrating to SAP.
    In ORACLE there is a flexibility wherein reservation can be activated for warehouse stock.
    However, in SAP we are mapping the multiple warehouses present in ORACLE as Storage types.
    So, I would like to know whether there is a way to reserve the stocks at storage type level.
    According to my analysis direct reservation is possible at plant and storage location  level.
    However I would like to know from you whether there is a direct way to reserve the stocks in storage type in warehouse or any in-direct way possible to reserve the storage type stock?

    However, in SAP we are mapping the multiple warehouses present in ORACLE as Storage types.
    That's probably a bad move. A physical warehouse should be at least one storage location, and storage types should only be used for sub organization inside a warehouse.
    For example if Storage types are used for High Rack, Bulk, etc (what they are supposed to be used for) there is no reason to reserve stock in a specfic storage type.
    Storage type vs Storage location. A "type" shouldn't be used to separate different warehouses.

    Here is the complete scenario .....
    <b>W1</b> -- Warehouse1 which has Supplies and Pharma
    <b>W2</b> -- Warehouse 2 which has Supplies and Equipments
    <b>W3</b> -- Warehouse 3 has Pharma only
    <b>W1 and W3 are in one Physical structure with partition
    W2 is across the road...</b>
    1. Supplies move from W2 to W1 when supplies go low in warehouse 1 (W1) this is <b>done almost daily</b> .
    2. Supplies from W1 are moved to W2 if there is any overflow or supplies come in excess which happens <b>few times a week</b>.
    3. We have  <b>3 shipment points</b> where they perform shipping and receiving each for W1,W2 and W3.
    4. we have 6 staging spots for staging of international shipments on W1
       and we have about 10 staging spots in W2 ....We need to know the exat location of where the shipping pallet is located for compliance purpose (Inspection )
    5. Most of the receiving is done in <b>W1 (about 85 %) </b>where it is inspected , arranged and then put away is done accordingly ....
         If the shipment contains only equipments or Beds then its received  in W2.
    6. When there is an<b> overflow of Pharma in W1</b> then some of the supplies in W1 are removed and put in W2 so that they get space for Pharma storage .....
    7.  Warehouse 3 (W3) has high value  Pharma, basically used for domestic shipments (in US) or the pharma products which dont have space in W1.
    8..  Moving of Pharma products for storage  from <b>W3 to W1  happens rarely</b>;
    9.  Moving from W1 to W3 happens <b>almost daily</b> ..cause when ever the products get over in W3 then they move it from W1.
    10.  Picking for international shipments takes place from W3 and W1 and are shipped from W1 in big Pallets.
    11.  When they receive the product in Big pallets in W1 some pharma products go to W1 and some in W3 , depending on the value .
    12.   Some times the domestic Shipments are in  large quantity so its taken  from W3 to W1 and staged for shipment in W1.
    13.  Domestic (within US) shipments is done through Fed Ex ....which is <b>done daily ....</b>
    My Question is will it be wise to
    <b>OPTION 1:</b>make these 3 warehouses into <b>3 storage locations.</b>..(1 plant >3storage locations>1 warehouse )or
    <b>OPTION 2:</b> is it wise to make these 3 warehouses into <b>3 storage types ......</b>  (1plant --->1 storage location --->1 warehouse -
    >3 storage types -->1 section under each storage type )
    Will there be any problem to define <b>shipping point,carry physical inventory,stock transfers and work with RF devices</b> in future if i choose<b> option 2 </b>
    Your Advise is precious to me ....Please do let me know the <b>pros and cons</b> .....for options ..above ....

    Hello Albert,
    It's always suggested to have very simple organization structure so we can avoid extra transaction.
    Now in your case, if you define three Plant/SLoc/warehouse then you are going to end up with more and more transactions at inventory level and followed by warehouse transactions.
    I suggest to have one Sloc and one warehouse for this kind of organization and maintain different storage type for each physical location. This will reduce the IM level transactions. Now when moving material from one facility to another facility you can maintain one more storage type for the Transport Equipement (i.e. Cart/Forklift etc) so when you move from W1 to W2 at that time you can do bin to bin transfer.
    Also you want facility for overflow in one facility so this can be achieved with allowing two storage type for putaway.
    for different kind of Supplies and pharma, I am sure you will plan different material type for them so that will help to get reports for each category.

  • Batch determination based on WM storage type stock positions

    Hello experts,
    I am hoping the get some advise on the best method to achieve this:
    We have batch determination turned on for select customers and the system is proposing stock that is mainly in our each or lose pick storage types (110), the issue with that is the fact that we do not pick in less then case qty for those customers so if the stock doesn't exist in our general storage the user must re-determinthe batch codes before delivery release.
    This process is becoming very time consuming so I would like to improve it.
    My first thought is to create a custom check in the batch search strategy that will only propose batch codes that exist in our general storage (search strategy based on WM stock positions)
    Are there any other options to achieve a batch search strategy based in WM stock positions other then the one above and does that solution sound practical?

    I'm not referring to the type of picking either (i'm not referring to picking strategies at all). I'm referring to storage type search criteria defined in OMLY.
    "We need batch determination based on WM storage type stock positions" -> you are running BD at delivery level and therefore, there is nothing from a standard perspective that we can do to run BD based on WM storage type again. Since the BD has already occurred, we need to find other venues to direct the pick to the appropriate storage types.
    This is what I'm understanding but I reckon there's something that I'm missing and so let's take the below example and then you can get back with corrections:
    R001 plant
    ZM01 storage location
    Z01 WH
    110, 120, 130, 140 storage types (110, 120, 130 are case/lose pick, and 140 is general)
    Since you had mentioned earlier that the BD is running at plant level, I'd assume the storage location ZM01 is automatically determined (since the batch resides in ZM01). Since the batch is already determined, based on your 'storage search strategy' (110, 120, 130) the system tries to pick this batch in these storage types. Now, when there is no full case, you have to manually change the storage type to 140 to pick and this is where the problem is. So, I was recommending that since there is no standard way to automatically pick the full case from 140, use the enhancement.
