Mass convert Inquiries to Quotations

Hi SD Experts,
Can any one tell me how to mass create Quotations from Inquiries? Does SAP offer any standard program or transaction code to do this?

My problem is a simple one that YOU will, sooner or later, face---else you already faced it. It is the DREADED mixed media from You Tube. HOW DO I MASS CONVERT MY ITUNES FLV VIDEOS TO MP4 VIDEOS. If MP4 will play Video & Audio---why do I need FLV files?

5. Yes, there are a handful of FREE Video Converter programs out there and the one I have AV8 will convert FLV to MP4 one file at a time...drip,drip,drip!!!
6. I have 800+ Music Videos---I will have died from old age before my iPod is filled.
7. My DESIRED END STATE is to flip a software switch and have all my iPOD FLV videos magically convert to MP4
8. You Tube Download Modality: I find a song I like and Download it to RealPlayer. Once downloaded, I PAINFULLY convert it to Ipod (can't do more than 9 songs at a time). Once in iTunes, I sync it to my iPOD classic and bam---my videos are in my my iPOD.
9. Currently, the only songs that play on my iPOD are those I've purchased from iTunes.
10. Whudda I Do? The Apple Tech guys haven't a clue. Also. If I can only do it manually (I've got movies mixed in as well), how do I set up an MP4 folder and then only transfer that folder on to my iPOD?!!!

The sync process for iTunes content and photos transferred from your computer to the iPhone is in one direction only and can be synced with iTunes on one computer only.
iTunes includes an option to transfer content purchased from the iTunes Store only from an iPod or iPhone - not for content acquired elsewhere that was transferred from iTunes to your iPhone.
You need to transfer your iTunes library from your Windows PC to your Mac.

New tool script to mass convert .flv to .avi files

Just wanted to advertise the availability of a little bash script I wrote that will mass convert all .flv files to x264 encoded .avi files in a given directory with a single command. This is useful for example if you you use have a number of youtube videos you wish to convert to x264 encoded video in the .avi container for playback later.
I found the original script written by 3ED_0 in the AUR here which I adapted to run without arguments. As such, it can be run on an entire directory of .flv files without user interaction. It does this making use of mediainfo to determine the video and audio bitrates from the original files to pass on to the new files, and by some simple bash commands to handle filenames.
Comments are welcome.

In QuickTime Player
Open the file
Window menu > Show movie info
Look in the Format: field
Note that QuickTime Player may fail to display any audio information for some files.
In MPlayer OSX
Show the playlist window if it isn't already visible.
Drag the movie file into the playlist window.
Select the movie in the list
Click the "i" button for info
In VLC
Open the movie in VLC
Window menu > Info
Click the black triangles so that they point down
Note that VLC does not display the file format, only the format of the content (audio and video) within the file. A file ending in .divx for instance, is probably in actuality an avi file but VLC doesn't show that information - MPlayer will and QuickTime Player will - if - QuickTime Player will open the file to begin with.

First, in transaction VTAA, you have to set up copy control from the inquiry/quotation to your sales order. Then, you can create the sales order with reference to your inquiry/quotation, and the data will be copied. If needed, via transaction VOFM, you can maintain alternative data transfer routines to copy more data than the standard copy control does.

I have nearly 6000 .cwk documents - some word and some spreadsheet. How can I mass convert these to pages and numbers?

Have been using Mac from early on. My present MacBook Pro has 3 previous computers and information installed on it.
The question is, I have been using Appleworks/Clarisworks for years for my business. Would like to save that history before moving to Lion. I know you can convert the files individually from .cwk file to pages, but I have nearly 6,000 files to convert.
Is there some way to convert them to pages and numbers or .doc files in mass?

Open inquiries in quotation

hi,
i have a requirement ,
While creating Quotation (in VA21 create with reference) in inquiry field (in F4 help) it should show only OPEN Inquiries.
for this i have created a Z search help and added to VMVA search help.
In my Z search help I have used VBUP and VBAK tables.
in Selection conditions i wrote VBAK-VBTYP = 'A'   (i.e. Quotation)
                                        and   VBUP-RFGSA NE 'C' (i.e. not completed)
but in VA21 it is showing all inquiries (i.e. open and closed).
But i just need OPEN inquiries.

Can I mass-convert topics to framesets?

We want to change our online help to have a left nav panel and are researching using framesets to accomplish this. So far, we like what we see in our prototypes. If we decide we want to go with framesets, we are wondering if there is a way to do some sort of automated process to convert a bunch of topics into framesets. If we have to convert each topic to a frameset, one by one, well, that would be too much to handle as we have thousands of topics.

Your post is making me wonder if you totally understand how framesets work. I say this because normally there isn't anything you do to topics that says "Hey, I should be inside a frame of a frameset!". Instead, you reference the topics from the navigation topic that appears in the other frame.
For example, say you have topics A B and C that will appear in the frameset.
So when you click the link for Topic A, it simply instructs the browser to display Topic A in the proper frame of the frameset.
Same for Topic B and for Topic C.
So all the instruction as to where the topic appears is in the link within the Navigation pane of the frameset, not the topic that is presented in the frame.
Does this make more sense?

Mass convert WMA to MP3

I have 2600 songs on my hard drive. They are all WMA. I would like to use iTunes, but would like to convert all my music to MP3 to play in iTunes (and transfer with iPod). Can iTunes do this, or will I have to do it the hard way?

I have the files on my external HD as well (as backup). So I can set iTunes to read from that Music folder and point to a new itunes folder, and set the advanced settings to convert to MP3. So then I'd have a mirror (sorta) between my WMA and MP3 folders (with exception of DRM stuff).

I have started using HandBreak to convert my DVDs.
I am currently using the Linux command line version and wrote a script to mass convert all my DVDs and its doing a really good job and taking about 1/2-3/4 hour to convert 1 DVD.

I am converting all my word 97 documents into word 2010.

When i convert a word 97 document into 2010 in some of the documents i am facing an issue. The issue is that in 97 word the content is present in two lines where as after converted to 2010 the content is present in three lines. Could any one please help
me out to resove this issue.

First, you should not be mass converting Word 97 documents to Word 2010. Documents are historical items, not something to be used as the base for future work on a regular basis. For future work, you want to be using templates.
My guess is that another difference is that you have a different operating system on the computer with Word 2010 than the one with Word 97. This is not necessarily the case but is likely.
The two articles linked above may answer most of your questions. There are two principal issues: a different printer driver, and a document setting to update styles from the template.
Note also, there is a difference between opening a Word 97-2003 style .doc file in Word 2010 and converting it to Word 2010. When you convert to .docx format, there can be some formatting change.

I understand we can do it thru form designer conver binary to text option but that I have to do one by one. Is there any batch command i can use to mass convert, similar to one produced by using File
-> Administration ->Object List Report.

Another Mass Permissions Change Topic

Alright - my wife set up my Christmas Present and after receiving it I wanted to change my shortuser name to match the one I used on our other systems to ease transition of files and ownership. I followed the instructions in the Information Bank about doing so - logged into root, renamed the home folder for the old name to the new name, generated new user account using new name, everything gets converted, then deleted old name.
Problem is, I have a LOT of files now in the Applications folders (specifically all of my preference files for World of Warcraft) that have "_Unknown" as the owner, and so I can't write over my old preference files, save new settings, macros, addon data, etc.
I tried selecting the enveloping folders, making myself owner, giving myself read-write access, then telling it to apply the changes to everything enclosed...BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK. I think this is because though it will adjust settings, it can't change ownership from _Unknown to me.
SO...how do I, en masse, convert everything with _Unknown as owner to have me as owner?
EDIT: As an aside - I have gone through and manually changed some of the files to have me as the owner, in case that makes a difference.

that is not a problem. none of the preference files are stored in the Applications themselves. they are stored in your home directory which is already taken care of. same goes for your macros, addons data etc. and you don't need to worry about updating apps. any application that uses an installer to update runs the installer as root so the wonership on those files is irrelevant. and if an app doesn't use an installer (say, firefox) and is installed by drag and drop then you can just trash the old version and put the new one in when needed. no need to change ownership for that either. so the best thing here is to leave things alone.

No! NEVER use "apply to enclosed items on ANY system created folders, your startup drive or the time machine drive. that includes folders like your Documents folder, your Desktop folder etc. use it only on folders you made yourself. system created folders often have hidden ACLs and using 'apply to enclosed items" on them will propagate those ACLs to everything inside and buy you a lot of trouble. in particular, the main Applications folder has "everyone deny delete" ACLs which you've propagated to everything inside. not good. we need to undo the damage.
run the following terminal commands (copy and paste please)
sudo chmod -RN /Applications
sudo chmod +a "everyone deny delete" /Applications /Applications/Utilities
you'll have to enter your admin password (which you won't see) after the first command. that's normal.

Create quotation from DP81

Hello Experts,
I run DP81for creating quotation from the sales pricing which comes from the planned cost of my project.
Dynamic items are created based on the activity type. Eg: Junior consultant - 100 hrs - $10000,
Senior Consultant-100hrs-$20000
When I convert the dynamic items to quotation, each dynamic items are converted to each quotation line item.
I dont want this to happen because I am going to send quotation to my customer as services. Eg: Line item 1 - Implementation service - $30,000. I want all the dynamic items aggregated to one quotation line item.
How to do this? I have tried with "individual quantity not checked". I have selected Activity type as the characteristics.
Any thoughts would be great for me.

1. Check the check box - 'Product' in the DIP profile characteristics.
2. Configure the pricing in the item category of the service level material as statistical.
This will aggregate all the dynamic items into your Service level material in the sales order/contract and shows the value in the service level material.

Converting over 500 Video clips to Ipod video format?

Ok so I have recently ditched my windows computer and all my video clips are in wmv format. I would like to mass convert them to Ipod video format. I have a 160gb ipod. Thanks hope someone can help me do this without out having to do them one by one as I am now.
