Master based query, not showing value of a particular field.

There's a customer master based query, where there's an attribute named, "ship to number", when i apply the selection range or >=, or > for that master, my ship to number field comes blank, inspite of having full data in it.
Whereas when i enter the selection screen as equal to (=) for that master, my field gets populated in the query.
What can be the cause, the field is not in compounding with the master.

This could be ALPHA conversion. Try giving a full number prefixing with 000 to make full length

Hi,
Just check following setting are also done.
transaction RSA1 -> Query-infoprovider -> "display" -> look for the relevant infoobject -> right-mouse-click -> "provider-specific Properties" -> "Query Exec. FilterVal"
Set this option to "Master Data" and recheck the behaviour.

Q: Why does Group created on Master console does not show any device count mapped on the managed Amp?
A: When a group is created on master console it will be pushed to all the managed amp which is added with Manage group configuration enabled. The Group pushed to the managed amp will be created as Global group and you can create subscriber groups for the global group to which you will add the device into since we cannot add any devices into global group directly.
Hence there is no device added to the global group, on the master console it does not show any device count for the groups that are created on master console.

I have a requirement where I need to write a report which will fetch the value of a particular field in a segment of an idoc.
I have the idoc number segment and field name as input parameters by which I can fetch Sdata from EDID4 but the confusion is how to find the exact field value from that Sdata. How to Map the SDATA to the segment structure.

I have one last doubt that may be you people can help with... The user will be giving the segment name and field name as input. So by following Kesav's code while i can get all the values in the segment structure at runtime please suggest how to display any one field from that structure given that that particular field will come at runtime.
EX: user gives an idoc number 123 (say belonging to Orders basic type)
segment E1EDK01
field BELNR.
So i need to display the value of E1EDK01-BELNR of idoc number 123.

Create a variant for your standard program and assign this variant to the field 'Start with variant' while creating transaction code for the standard program in the transaction 'SE93'.

Hierarchy node in query rows not showing values in report

Hi sdn
I'm taking hierarchy node on rows and some plan and actual values on columns but i'm unable to get values in the report for only plan values
How did I reconcile the values whether that value is available in hierarchy or corresponding value's for plan data is available in the cube,pls give me clues

Could you please share the steps you have taken to fix the problem?
We do have a similar problem and for some reason the newly added hierarchy node for 0Profit_ctr is not showing up in the variable selection screen F4 (input selection for query execution). However we can see this node when we display that hierarchy in RSA1. I did try applying the changes recommened by Jerome but unfortunately it didn't work.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Master Data Attr not showing in query

Iam having some queries in Bex built by previous developer. We recently enhanced customer master by three fields. When I wanted to add it in queries, I can only able to see those address fields in one query rest of 5 queries are not showing the new enhanced attributes.in fact I cant see any attribute (eg: 0sold_to has 20 attributes but its just showing 0country as the attr) I dont know why the rest are not showing. Also, when I tried to create a new query, I can able to see all the attributes for 0sold_to , 0ship_to etc...but the existing query doesnt showing the attributes ? Does any body know why the attributes are not shwoing in current query / do i need to uncheck something / unhide something in Bex for the existing query...I want to add the new fields only in existing query,I dont want to create a new one...

Hi Sam,
If you go to the report and do Change query global definition then you should be able to see the new attributes on the left side of the query designer and then you drag and drop them on the right side. If your attributes are navigational then you will have to turn them on as navigational in the Cube/DSO too, then only you can see them in the query.

ADF Query not showing correct search results.

I am using normal ADF af:query to search data using a VO Criteria.
We have modified the getter of searched column in VORowImpl java class to return values based on NLSID search from cache.
Logic in getter:
If for a column_name nlsid is present then show data as the value of nlsid.
Suppose Initially:
column_name = "Column1"
column_name_nlsid="Column1_nlsid"
column_name_nlsid_value="Column1_nlsid_value"
The table will show:
column_name: "Column1_nlsid_value"
if we search "Column1" as column_name, The Search will also show:
column_name: "Column1_nlsid_value"
in results
But,
If we modify the nlsid value as:
column_name_nlsid_value="Column1_nlsid_value_MODIFIED"
Then
The table will show:
column_name: "Column1_nlsid_value_MODIFIED"
if we search "MODIFIED" in column_name, The Search will NOT show any results
So, it seems to me that the af:query search always searches upon the values derived from InternalAttribute values.
What can i do to over-ride such behaviour , so that the search also takes the data from modified getters.

Master Data is not showing for 0Customer info obeject in the portal

Hi Experts,
I'm facing an issue with 0CUSTOMER Info object. When I tried to execute the query from Query designer(BI 7.0) it is not showing all the customers in filter for 0CUSTOMER in WEB but it is showing all values for other characteristics(i.e 0MATERIAL).
I tried to execute same query in Bex Analyser and RSRT but it is showing all the customers list in filter for 0CUSTOMER. I have this problem in WEB only
Please suggest me why 0CUSTOMER is not showing all the values in WEB.

in WEB, all values wont be displayed in single page if the list is too long, There will be a button to navigate to the next page and select. Please check that.

Graphs in the dashboard not showing values which greater than 1000 !!!

Hello Champs,
I have build a dashbaord using SAP BO Dashboards 4.1 SP 1.
Architrecture is as below:
Bex Query --> SAP Netweaver Connection --> Dashbaord --> Published on BI Portal.
So here there is no BOE in picture.
The problem I am facing is that, in my graphs any value which greater than or equal to 1000 is not showing up....!!!
Strange indeed.
In the picture one can see that at the runtime, the Tablular view is showing data, but the Graph on the left isnt, as all the values are greater than 1000. Any values lower than 1000 is appearing,
So, does anyone have faced any such problem in such a scenario.
Is there any setting which has to be done to publish the Dashboard on BI Portal, which I may have missed.
Any helpfull suggestion is much apppreciated.

Are you calculating the value in thousands? Whats the value? Currency etc. Did you check in the text tab on what value it is?

Discount Condition types is not showing values

We have defined 5 discount Condition Types which will work based on percentage all these are header level, but in the transaction when i am entering 2% or 3% it is taking discount percentage but its not showing discount values.

i have a really strange problem , i have a string field in access database that contains the date and time value,this field for some strange reason does not show in my table created through html,
i tried all combination(arranging the fields) ,renaming it w/o help, it shows the value using out.println(but then why is it not showing me in the table???)

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.As you can see, it works in sql*plus.
The result, "no" may not be what you expect. The reason for this is the handling of the empty string, in
if re != ''Oracle translates '' to null:
if re != nullThis will always evaluatie to false (null checking should be of course be done with IS [NOT] NULL).
BTW: why is re varchar2 anyway? It is assigned a numeric value, so changing it into numeric would be better. And you would avoid the faulty null checking.

Debugging mode - sql query not showing up in console

Hi,
I have turned on the debugging mode via Admin->Server Configuration->Debug Level. Set it to debug mode.
I restarted the server. I wanted to test if the query will show up if there was an error in the query.
However I am not seeing any query. It complains that there is some error, but doesn't show what query string it is using.
Anyone got any idea how I can get query to show up on console (BI Publisher web interface) as opposed to
going and seeing the log files on the server.
Please let me know.

I will try out custom log table approach.
I see that there is a way to test pl/sql scripts via the DBMS output
and for that we need some invoking program like SQL PLUS to get the
log out into a file.
However, we wanted to see if there is a way to set Pl/SQL log files
and get PL/SQL logs when the calling program is BI Publisher.

Print preview not showing values correctly. (single words are omitted)

Hi,
When viewing print preview of ME23n , it does not shows the values correctly.
It omitting the single words.
If its having 2 or more words, it displaying correctly
For example;
This is the vendor & its address. (check attached image img1.jpg)

When displaying the print preview, it shows only some parts of the above address

These values are getting from a table called LFA1. I have checked that table & in that table all the values exists correctly.
I have noted issue is with, having only a single word. (If address or name having only a single word, that is without spaces, it will not going to show in the print preview) -
In the above example, it is not showing Number-122/A and COLOMBO-04 (Its a single word. No spaces there)
If its like --> Number - 122/A & COLOMBO - 04 , then it will display in the print preview correctly (where there are spaces after - mark)

If its having more than one word, then it will display correctly in the print preview. As below;

By the way , since its a standard program, i think that code is out of our scope.
Me23N is a standard tcode but cusomters create Z-Program for printing by making a copy of standard.
You may please check upon the same.
Is it possible to check the results on a system where patch has not been applied ?
