Master problem

Question

hi.
i have a problem that i had made a connection with database.
it works fine in windows'98 but doesn't work in 2000 or NT.
it hangs up on a statement
Connection con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:mydriver");
detail:
I have three programs A,B and C.
what i have done is that program A invokes B
program in different JVM( using Runtime.exec() ).
The program B invoke "main" method of program C (by method.invoke()) in
seperate thread. C has database connectivity.
If i run C seperatly , it works fine.
If i run B seperatly , it works fine.
If i run A and invokes C instead of B then also it works fine.
The problem is that the whole sequence A-B-C works fine in 98 but not in 2000 or NT. JAVA is platform independent , but it proves that's not!!!!!!!!!!!!

In output i get output like:
1
2
then it don't show any output or any error in win2000, but it works fine in win98.
please give answer positively.
