MAT01 Materila Create Workflow Error
Material Creation (MAT01) is throwing an Error in 2 nd user
step. We are getting Workflow item table as empty as shown below.
Workflow Error log shows the following error. It is not able
to make user account agent.
We configured BRF+ catalogue USMD_SSW_CATA_MAT01 and
modified DT_USER_AGT_GRP_MAT01 decision
table. ( tried all combinations US,S,AG etc…).
Please help us what is going wrong here.

I am using SP 2013. I have a visual webpart and custom sequential workflow. The webpart saves the data to a custom list and the workflow is associated to the custom list on Item creation only. In the workflow, I am breaking the role inheritance and setting
permission to specific set of users, and then the normal approval workflow happens. The whole workflow condition works fine, but if the user is raising multiple requests one after another, the workflow seems to break either in the Break inheritance or granting
permission. If the user raises only one or two requests then everything works fine.
Below are the errors which I am getting in the workflow:
Error 1:
Error: Save Conflict. Your changes conflict with those made concurrently
by another user. If you want your changes to be applied, click Back in your Web
browser, refresh the page, and resubmit your changes.

I have also implemented the "Reload" thing posted in the above URL. This error only happens when multiple new requests are getting raised by same user. This error does not happen if I terminate the workflow and re-start the workflow.
How to fix this?

Based on my understanding, you have a Visual Web Part for adding new item into a list. A workflow will be triggered when item creation in this list. Everything works
fine except when an user adds multiple items in a short period.
If this is the case, plus with the error message, a possible cause is that the SharePoint Server and the workflow engine are not functioning effectively enough to
handle the multiple request in a short time, therefore a scenario is that when there is new item being added into the database, the workflow modifies the “RoleAssignments” property of this item at the same time, this may cause a “Save Conflict” error.
As you said, “If the user raises only one or two requests then everything works fine”, a workaround is that you can disable the adding item function in Visual Web
Part forcibly in a specific period after a new item is being added by current user, it can leave some time for handling the item creation and item modification.
Or if there is a need to submit multiple items concurrently, we can organize the requests into one request, then handle this item with other custom logic in your workflow.

Workflow error when submitting Employment Verification Letter in ESS Portal
in ESS Portal, when trying to send the employment verification letter by mail I get a workflow error in ECC. Error occurs in workflow template WS01000045 (Employment and Salary Verification) task TS00408262 (PF: Find basic pay). The employee submitting the verification letter request is an active employee, has infotype 105 data in the system, and has basic pay data in the system.
workflow log (SWI1) shows the "Basic Pay" object available and when double clicking on the object, it brings me to PA20 where I can see the Basic Pay infotype with correct data.
Can someone help?
note: the employee is Canadian, in case this matters.
TiberiuHave you created the resposibilities for the rule 60100010 becuase if you observe the rule it will determine the agents by using the category Agent Determination: Reponsibilities so i think you missed to create responsibilities

Workflow error in release Purchase requisition
Hi All,
I configured the settings for workflow in Purchase Requisition.(both purchsing & task specific )
Now, my workflow is started but its status is Error.
actually it is not able to find the recepient in role 20000026.As i already mark relevent release code as 1 & also assign US user id in the PR release settings & also put the User ID in task specific customization.
Still i am facing this error.One thing i want to mention is i am not aware of the settings required in the Edit Qrganizational Plan tab in SPRO.
If some more clarification is required ,i will prode the same..
Plz suggest some solution in this regard with T codes & bit detail.

Okay here's some details which will help you out. I presume that you have done customizing for PR release strategy.
If not then follow this procedure:

Once you establish release strategy , event releasestepcreated will automatically created by system based on release codes.
so say for a standard pr type you have defined two release codes I1 and I2 (based on certain amount- you can see this in class characterisitic using tcode CL02) and class type -032 and class PR_RELEASE most probably, check Char. tab).
Once you define char. in CL02, you gotta run tcode CT04, give the name of char. and fill all tab.
inside tab Addl data, you have to define CEKKO table and field too
this is where we have referenced the event releasestepcreated implicitly.

So if I1 release take place event will triggered, say A has approved I1 level and for whole PO release I2 is also required then one more time event releasestepcreated event would be triggered.
You can create workflow for PO release. Approver are determined based on rule AC20000026 (check in PFAC) based on FM which has user exit EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001 where you can write down your own code for approver determination.
I think that you gotta put 9 (in release code settting in SPRO). If you are inserting 1 then you have to define US and user name (which I think you have done).

Sales Agreement workflow errored on 3205: is not a valid role or user name.
Hi experts,
We're currently on EBS R12.1.2 We're running into an issue that seems like a very general issue that other businesses would have encountered before. We have a business user who creates most of sales agreements. When this business user left the company, we set active end date on the particular userid. Now, when we go into these sales agreements originally created by this particular userid, and put in the expiration date to expire these sales agreement. We're seeing the sales agreement workflow erroring out in the pre-notification workflow email with error 3205: is not a valid role or user name.
It seems to be this is a very typical business scenario. If you have encountered this problem, please share how you resolved this issue within your oracle apps environment.

We have the same problem in 11.5.10.2. If we want use this blanket sales agreement I have to skipped this notification by sysadmin and after this I can extend end date and another user can use this BSA.

Are there any special settings for SUBWORKFLOWS
There is no Special Setting for Sub Workflow.
Only error which i get in my inbox is
Please repair the suspended workflow
1) Once you get the Error, open a new session goto T.code SU53 and see any authorization issue
If Yes, send the screen shot to Basis Team to get the authorization.
2) If Authorization is fine, Check the binding for that Workitem Regenerate and Test it . Also Check the Workflow log and see which step error is showing, then see the Step history comments. .

Three State Approval Workflow Error
I have created one Task List. Add Three state approval workflow to it.
When i created New Task. It started workflow. But after couple of minutes it throws error "Error Occured". How to find error.

Please go to the task list settings page, click Assigned to column and check "No" for "Allow multiple selections", then check whether the issue still exists or not.

Unable to save workflow types and create workflow stage in CUP

We are currently installling GRC AC 5.3 and are stuck in configuration.
we are unable to create workflow stage in CUP. Whenever we try to open the tab for stage it gives below mentioned error.

It seems you have uploaded some wrong file .
I would suggest you to delete those entries from table.
please check for the duplicate entry in u r workflow type under miscellaneous tab in CUP.
for example if you find duplicate entry for work flow type RE that is ERM , And the Work flow type ERM gives you error while saving request type .then please look for the table VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE in file AE_init_append_data_RE.xml and follow the below mentioned steps:
1. log in to SQL with SYSDBA access delete the duplicate entry.
2.use below command to find the
SQL> select * from SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE where NAME='ERM'
3. delete this Row form the table.
4. restart AS java
After deleting this duplicate entry your issue should get resolved.

I set up R12.1.3 (upgrade from R12.1.1) I when I Started up the application and got connected to the Application using the user sysadmin,
I received too much workflow errors woth no access to the Oracle Applications to create users and responsibilities
What could be the solution to clean those errors ? could I missed a patch to apply ?

Workflow Issue - Delivery address XML Reference workflow - Error
Hello All,
I am an ABAP developer, with very limited knowledge in Workflow, and I am stuck with an ongoing issue for quite sometime. We have a scenario where we need to a workflow triggers for a specific UNDATED sales order lines (identified by values in VBAP-Zfield ) in R/3 box, and it carries an XML request (probably mails it) to a SAP CRM destination, which would now update some CRM tables and generate a Call list in the SAP CRM box. This is one flow that used to be fine, but has stopped working since the past few months may because of some change, which is not yet identified. as multiple projects are working on the same boxes.
To elaborate -
1 - We have a SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 Idoc creating the SO, where in, based on a CUTOFF date condition, (if it is in the past), a VBAP-ZFIELD for the corresponding line is set to a value (08).
2 - This event is expected to trigger a workflow for the Undated order/Delivery resolution , which would then create an XML doc for the SO and send this across to CRM box
3 -This will then update a Ztable. This will be handled by a batch job in CRM to generate a call list.
Now we are facing a problem in the second step here, where in the activity - 'BCKGRD: Create XML_DOC for SO: xxxxxxxx' is completing successfully, but having a failure in the next step - 'Delivery address XML Reference workflow - ERROR'

Agree with Ronen....no mail recipient or from 10 records of mail recipient - one record is empty.
Try to find out the intended email recipients....any data change there might have resulted in errors since few months. Maybe, some position got vacant, some config table to get the recipients got changed.....

WorkFlow Error ........ Can we debug it ? Help.. it's urgent
Hi All,
I'm newbie in SAP and I realy need more explaination about worklow. I have two workflow : wf1 and wf2; and both of them will update complaint document status.
The scenario is if Event 1 raised then both of workflow will be triggered and both of workflow will check claim amount inputed by user.
If claim amount is greater than US$ 1000, wf2 will be cancelled and wf1 will ask approval from user, if the user approved then wf1 will update complain status from A to B.
If claim amount is less than or equals with US$ 1000 , wf1 will be cancelled and wf2 will update complain status from A to B.
In condition 1 ( claim amount > US$ 1000 ), the workflow works properly and there's no error occured.
But in condition 2 ( claim amount <= US$ 1000 ), an error occured while updating status.
Is there any reason why this happens ? Both of workflow used the same method from BUS2000120, that is USERSTATUSSET but in wf2 an error occured and the error code is 1005 ( Status Not Allowed ) but in wf1 wofks properly.
Is it because there's no delay in wf2 and the record still used by another process ? please advice me ....
Beside that I've tried to debug why error happens but it seems it can't be debuged because it works in background.
Is there any way to debug background process that done by WF-BATCH ?
Or can we simulate a workitem / action node in workflow ?
If there is any way please tell me step by step ...

many thanks for the reply, sory I'm wrong in giving the workflow scenario. I need 2 workflow because each workflow triggered by different event. wf1 triggered by event1 and wf2 triggered by event2.
if event1 raised then wf1 will be triggered, and wf1 will check the claim amount. if the claim amount > US$ 1000 then, wf1 will ask approval for the claim payment. If approved then complain status will be updated from B to C.
This condition works well and no error occured.
if event2 raised then wf2 triggered, and wf2 will check claim amount. if the claim amount <= US$ 1000 then the complain status will be updated from A to C automatically.
This condition doesn't work and an error occured.
If I trace the the workflow, the error code is 1005. That error code refer to method UserSetStatus in BUS2000120. In that method, it called Function CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN_OW .
If I simulate the function CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN_OW via t-code SE37, it works well to update status from A to C.
Last nite after I posted this question, I created the event2 ( use t-code SWUE ) to simulate the error but the workflow works fine. But if the event created through transaction the workflows error....
please advice .....
Btw, Mikkel, for your answer for debuging, I have another question. Must I implements infinite loop to be able to debug via process overview ( SM50 ) ? And how to jump into debugger from process overview ?
