Material Assignment Problem urgent!!

Hi!! All,
I need your help, In a perticular Recipe(PPPI)
I am getting Information message that "Double assignment Exist' I am able to assign materials to Operations but msg is same.
if I remove all assignments... from all operations mgs is still coming
I am nt able to sort out whts the matter.

Got your problem...looks like the Component is available in the list more than once, if that was the correct scenario you are working with then... <b>in transaction "O05C" define message "C5" - 709 with "W" - Warning or " " - Blank for no message</b>.

Variable size material assigning problem

Hi friends,
I am trying to assign a variable size material for an activity. There is a scenario in which they are giving only one dimension and no formula is been used to calculate but the required qty field is rounding off for next decimal point for eg: if the size of material i am giving as 0.912 mm then the required qty is round off to 0.920. Can any one please tell me do we have any config setting to be done to take out this rounding off decimal point.

the data element for required quantity CO_MENGE has 3 places of decimal - so basically it should be fine
I have checked in my system and I can see 0.912 for a material with dimension length
the other thing is check the material master - additional data for units of measure - or there might be some program rounding off the units to 2 digits
If you are using a custom unit then check CUNI and make sure it is not set to 2 decimal places

MM_SPTOCK - Problems when Material assigned to more than one Batch Id

Hi Experts,
We are using MM_SPSTOCK object for archiving Batch Records. While executing this Archiving object ,Suppose we have a case where there exists a material assigned to more than one batch .Lets Say B1 and B2 for Material M1. If we are interested to archive the Batch record M1 B1 then M1 B2 also getting archived even though the batch B2 is not specified in the selection criteria of MM_SPSTOCK .This leads to Data inconsistency.Is there anything that we need to do in order to save the second batch record getting archived.Please suggest.Let me know if you need any information

Routing creation with material assignment

Hello sap gurus,
I have created routing for semifinished product.Now i want to create routing for finished material but i want to use the same routing as we created for semifinished product by material assignment function in routing.when i go to do like that i am facing one problem.when i go to component assignment for finished material to operation,it shows the component over there which are in Bom of semifinished product,not the component which are in Bom of finished material.so how to do the component assignment if i create the routing by materail assignment function?

Instead of making the scenario complex, I suggest you to go for separate routing and BOM for the semi-finished and finished product.
How do you differentiate the routing of both the finished and semi-finished in only one ?

Material Assignment in Master recipe

Hi,
Is there any FM/BAPI to assign material into a master recipe? Currently, we are using BDC to call C202 transaction for this purpose. This process takes long time for material assignment which leads to performance issue.

In LSMW , object BUS1012 is offered for routing creation and change .
Unfortunately there is no object for master recipe creation & change and there is no standard batch input, nor BAPI/IDOC, nor direct input. You should create your own batch input or CATT.
Here is a possible procedure:
Please record a Batch-Input with transaction SHDB and try if this work. If not please try with TOFF as described in the notes.
Read carefully SAP note 142022.

Dear Venkat,
Routing is the sequence of operation/activities through which production takes place across the work centers ( machines ) which is created by pp consultant.
Example : If you want to stitch a shirt we many need to do following activities.
Taking the measurements from the user
Cutting the fabric according to measurements
Stitching / sewing ( Joining the parts like collar / hands / Yoke / Pocket / Cuffs....Etc)
Buttoning ( adding the buttons to shirt)
Quality checking
Ironing
Packing ..etc.
In the same way based on the product you are going to do it might have some steps to make it, we will maintain the same steps / sequences as ROUTING in SAP PP.

We have a need to find out which material masters are assigned to GCD (Global Chemical Database) specifications.what are the possibilities from Material master side.
Specification information (in tab "Spec assignment") on material master side is on a structure RCGMMJIOT. can anybody help with the table name for the corresponding structure.

Honestly, I do not have good experience with the BAPI for serialnumber change...
would suggest to explore function module:
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_UPDATE
or
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_SAVE
Also run ST05 to trace what kind of data it passed to these function modules by running IQ02!

DATE FIELD PROBLEMS - URGENT

I´m having trouble with FormsCentral.
My form is running about 8 months with no problems.
Yesterday people started to complain that the system doesn´t accept any date.
That means the date field restricts date entries, from date dd/mm/aaaa (brazilian format) to another dd/mm/aaaa, but every date that users input in, is considered by the system as invalid, even it´s a correct and valid date right between the interval specified!
I need Help Urgent!!!
I depend on these forms to finish the payrol service from here.

It look like the system accepts just dates starting from the date of today.

It looks like the system have some problem just with the date 20/10/2013?!
I´ve fixed the problem change the interval from 20/10/2013 to another date and used 21/10/2013 to another date and it works!
But I think something is wrong with the 20/10/2013 date?!
To reproduce the erros just create a new form with date feature with this exaclty configurations and the bug appears:

QIP : material assignment button at header level

Hi everyone,
Since QM is not my main module : can someone explain to me what the "material assignment" button is for in a quality inspection plan (at header level)?

"material assignment" : consider a scenario where there is two vendors for a particular material & your requirement is to check material of different vendor with different specification.
Then in that case you can specify the Material ,plant & Vendor in "Material assignment " field.
Say you have maintained vendor "X" in the task list & Vendor " Y" in other group counter for same material with differnt cherectiristics in it.
So when inspection lot with vendor X will create ,system will automatically assign the task list with Vendor X in Material specification.
same with vendor Y.
If you do not maintain anything against material here ,irrespective of vendor same task list will attach to all vendors.
Also Customer specific task list same as that of Vendor can be assigned through Material assignment

Mass Material Assignment to Cost Object Hierarchy

Hi,
I have to assign the materials to Cost Object Hierarchy. I know that it is done thorugh TC- KKPHIE.
But if I have to assign more than 1000 materials at a time , I cannot do that in mass.
I tried to do it thorugh LSMW. The system is not allowing it to create LSMW.
I am stuck. Please let me know is there any other method of material assignment in mass.
Or any other transaction code.

CWBQM - Allows duplicate material Assignment record.

Hi All,
Can any one tell me is there any sap note is available for Work bench transaction CWBQM, in order to fix the issue of "duplicate material assignment record" in MAPL table.
For example If you assign Plant "100" and material "M1" and customer " C1" to an Inspection plan through CWBQM,system allows to add the record in MAPL table which already contains the same record, whereas if you try to do it thru QP02-Material asignment ,system throws error message "Material has already been assigned to the inspection plan".

As QP02 does not allow to enter the customer system only considers it as unique plant & material combination....whereas in Workbench you can able to enter customer so system consider unique plant-material-cutomer.
There is no such a Note available in QP02.

Std Network with Material assignment

Hi,
I am creating Project via Standard WBS and Network. I have also assigned few materials to this Standard NWP. There are few materials assigned to this std NWP all with Base QTY 1000.
So when i add Execution Factor 10 when creating WBS, i expect system to divide Qty of material assigned on Std NWP by 1000 and then multiply by 10, but system is not dividing the Qty by 1000?
Is there some config i need to do so that Base Qty maintained in Std BOM gets divided by the Qty of material that gets assigned to operative WBS being created?

Hi,
To my knowledge, the execution factor is applicable only for the quantity at either the WBS or network activity level , not for the requirements it generates. I may be wrong.
