  • Pending Routing or BOM material list with material in MARA table

I want to tally the material codes in MARA table with the materials without routing and BOM . i.e. pending Routing or BOM material list with material in MARA table.
Before MRP run How we will get this list ?
    Pl' give reply.
    Thanks .
    Regards.

    Hi Kishore,
SAP does not have any standard reports to suite your requirement. What i would suggest is to take couple of data extract from table to validate.
    1. First dowload all materials which should have "BOM" and "Routing". This you can do by extracting "MARC" table data where field "BESKZ = 'E' or 'X' ".
    2. Now you can extract the data from "MAST" for BOM and "MAPL" for Routing details.
Now do VLOOK up in excel to find the mismatch data.
This can also be done by a customised program, which i dont think it is required since it is going to be used only once.
You could also try SQVI with table joins
Hope this helps...Reward your points if so,

  • Re:material list with GL account

    Hi All,
    i have the requirement below.
how can i get the report  material with Gl account.
    Thanks & Regards
    siva

    Dear Mr Siva,
    Please view link below;
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/SAPStandardReports
You can use the Transaction ME2K and in dynamic selection for A/C category select the G/L account field and make it not equal to blank (by clicking in the field) and then enter the all cost center or whatever A/C object you are looking for in the field and run the report you will get list of all PO has the G/L account. Whereas in KSB1 report give the information about the PO for which some material document already posted. I mean to say, KSB1 include those PO which have PO history is present. what about those po for which no GR or IR has done. It may come in commitment report that is in KSB2.
Believe this could help you. TQ

  • Can not change the ABC indicator in Material master MRP1 View?

    Hi All,
I could not change the ABC indicator in Material master for material X. Could some one please specify the condition or prerquisit for making chnages in ABC indicator?

    Hi Animesh,
In Logistics Information system , ABC analysis can being done  and results updated in Material master for ABC indicator by background job run.
The relevant transaction is MC40  ( Total Analysis) .
This transaction when run in backgroung with field "Update ABC Ind.in background processing mode" clicked, will update the ABC indicator appropriately.
You can find different criteria based on which A, B,C is decided.
I hope this will be useful to you.
    Please check and confirm.

  • Where a system saved a old ABC indicator

    Dear expert Hi
We are working in our company with ABC indicator for cycle counting , Trans: MIBC
I will need to create a new Query when we can see what is the old ABC indicator and what is the new ABC indicator after we update a indicator with MIBC
Please you can explain where a system saved old ABC indicator (TABLE)?
    Regards
    Diana

    Hi,
For a material master the ABC indicator  is mentioned in the MM01 -MRP1 view screen
The table name is : MARC
where as in MBIC t.code if you change the CC indicator the CCindicator changes is indicated inthe same t.code  in X. it is not stored in Table. It is stored in  a structure.
actually the ABC indicator is stored in table MARC only

Hi, You need to have an history of at least several months of movements in order to do this analysis. You need also to flag "all articles held in stock" in order to select articles without ABC indicator. Rgds, Philippe

  • ABC indicator in Material Master

    Hi experts,
Could you please let me know if the ABC indicator field used in MRP1 view is Plant dependant or Plant independant?
We have 2 plants. So should we set this ABC indicator seperately for Plant 1 & Plant 2?
    Thanks,
    Pri

    ABC INDICATOR:
Indicator that classifies a material as an A, B, or C part according to
its consumption value. This classification process is known as the ABC
    analysis.
The three indicators have the following meanings:
o   A - important part, high consumption value
o   B - less important part, medium consumption value
o   C - relatively unimportant part, low consumption value
So we can say that this information in Material master is plant specific (Plant dependent)
Logically if we think the material which is of high importance and have high consumption in one plant need not have to be important with same level of consumption in another plant.
    Rerward if it is helpful
    Regards
    Pavan
So when doing the bifercation of the materials based on their importance it is plant which is of utmost importance

  • Report For list of material Master with PO text

    Hi all,
I need a report whether it is available in Standard SAP or a customized, for List of Material Master with their PO text.
If any one can help, please reply to this theard.
    Regards,
    Kapil Kulkarni

To get the material number combined with the PO text you will need the help of an ABAP programmer.  The programmer can create a report for you using the function module READ_TEXT in the function group STXD.  The tables to use are:
STXH - STXD SAPscript text file header
STXL - STXD SAPscript text file lines
The selection screen should have at least the following:
    OBJECT - STXH-TDOBJECT
    NAME - STXH-TDNAME
    LANGUAGE - STXH-TDSPRAS
    TEXTID - STXH-TDID
You find the information for these fields by going to the PO text entry screen and displaying the header information under Goto -> Header.  For materials, the object is MATERIAL, the name is "material number", the language is "EN", and the text ID is BEST.  You can use this program to get long text in lots of places like information records, purchase order texts, etc.
    Hope this helps.

  • Updation of ABC indicator in Material Master

    Hi,
For ABC analysis, I carried out it according to T_code MC40(Usage value). I got the category of material. For eg "A".But how the ABC indicator updates in Material master.Because I couldnt get indicator in MRP1 view.
Whats the right way? Pls guide me.
    Thanks,
    Goraksh.

    Hi,
Update of consumption is based on movement type, and you can decide which movement types should have or have not consumption updating.
Check in transaction OMJJ if the movement types in question have indicator "Consumption posting" (field V_156_VC-KZVBU) as marked.
If it is the case, consumption is updated, opposite for un-ticked.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks.

  • Updating abc indicator

how to the system updates the ABC indicator in the material master data.....on what basis......is there  any program we should run  ..
    Please explain

    Tcode is MC40
ABC Analysis is a key concept by which large quantities of organizational data can be classified depending upon its importance. Such data can relate to material or processes. ABC analysis is mostly associated with inventoy ABC analysis. However, in SAP the ABC analysis functionality can not only be used for inventory analysis, but also for other processes such as S & D, plant maintenance, production, purchasing etc.
ABC analysis is available in SAP, however, companies need to follow a certain set of steps through which they can perform ABC analysis. Listed below are the steps required for ABC analysis in SAP.
    1. ABC Analysis Goal - Before doing ABC analysis, companies need to know what the goal of such ABC analysis will be, goal setting is the first step in ABC analysis.
    2. Analysis Area - Determining the area to be analyzed is the next step in the process. Companies need to identify thearea for which ABC analysis will be done such as inventory, purchasing, plant maintenance etc.
    3. Data Basis - The third step is calculation of the data basis. This ensures consistency of the data to be analyzed. Data basis may consist of characteristics such as inventory number, key figure, consumption, production, spending on plant maintenance etc.
    4. ABC Strategy - In this step, the ABC strategy and class boundaries are defined based on which the actual analysis would be done. In the ABC strategy, segment sizes need to be defined for example inventory value A category - 70%, B category - 20%, and C category - 10%.
    5. Assigning Classes - This is last step in which one defines the class limits and assigns such classes. Note that one can define both the upper and lower limits of the classes. When such class assignment is complete, SAP calculates rank or material as a total percentage of total inventory value.
