Material staging during Process Order..TR issue

Hello,
For creating a TO I am going to transaction LB13 for a Process Order but I am not able to see the TR.
When I went in the Process Order and manually clicked WM staging I found that there is an error as mentioned below. The problem is it is an issue for only some Process Order as most of the other Process Orders are getting the WM staging(TR created automatically) and I can see in the LB13.
Can you tell me based on the error what the issue would be.
Is it something to do with the config in Production Scheduler Profile for TR creation?
No picking request was generated for operation 0020 due to incompleteness
Message no. LP133
Diagnosis
The pick requirement created for the pick parts ( material staging indicator "1") is incomplete. Errors occurred while the system was staging goods for WM. Therefore, the system could not convert all the relevant components into pick requirements. For this reason, no pick requests were created since material staging of only part of the components would cause problems in production.
Let me know ASAP
Thanks

Hi,
For the operation 0020 check what is the resource used. Now check what is the supply area you have maintained for that resource or in material master.
use transaction LPK3 and check out the control cycle set-up. the staging indicator should be 1.
Also check the component screen of the process order and make sure the storage location is the same that is used in production supply area.
Also make sure the material has been correctly assigned to that operation for which you are getting issue.
Once you do these changes....you might have to create a new order to test this.
Try and revert back.

  • Material staging for process order

    Dear All,
Can we use material staging for process orders.
If possible pls brief the procedure.
    Subbu.

    Using warehouse management /WM) :
    - Create a control cycle for the component, using LPK1. Here you define if the supply will be specific for the order (when weighing takes place in the warehouse) or for released orders (normallu full packages of components and weighing is done at plant level). Reference to a supply area.
    - The resource used in the operation has a reference to the supply area.
    - Components have material master views in WM for the selected storage type
Then, when releasing the orders run LP10 - LP12 to generate the Transfer requirements for the raw materials. These TR will be converted to Transfer Orders and Confirmed, so the stock will be moved to your supply area.
Using Inventory Management, none of the above is required. You can use MF60 to move materials from General Storage Location to Shop Floor SLoc.

  • WM Material Staging  for Production Order

    Hi,
In the process order txn Cor3, Go to > List > WM pick list>  the initial screen is  Display WM Material Staging  for Production Order. In the All parts tab, could you please help me on how to be able to populate the fields in the  BSI, Category and Storage Bin. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Dear Ellen,
If you set the cursor on 'BSI' field and push F1 you'll get an explanation about the meaning of each category.
    '"<i>1" pick list item
This materials are picked according to the required quantity specified in the production order.
    '2': Crate or kanban parts
These materials are always removed from the warehouse in full cases. These can be ordered, for example, as soon as a case of needed parts is emptied in production.
    '3': Release order parts
Release order parts are scheduled individually and the quantities are supplied manually to replenishment storage bins based on the requirements of production orders and the stock levels in the scheduled production supply areas.
    "0" not relevant to WM-PP
These materials are not relevant for WM production supply and cannot be requested using the WM system.</i>'
    For instance:
You can set raw materials / SFG as pick parts if warehouse workers have to collect those parts from high racks (from different places) and they have to provide an exact qty for the PrdOrd.
We use '4' (manual staging) for huge alu rolls that are near the machine and WH workers have nothing to do with it - the operators, who deal with the machine, have to put the new rolls on it.
When we issue the PrdOrd the requirements of this material won't appear in LB10 since WH has nothing to do with them.
'Storage bin' filed will contain a value automatically, if your settings are proper.
E.g. you have to define the default 'stock removal' & 'stock placement' storage type on WM view of material master.
Additionally you have to define control cycles for materials you use for your production. (LPK1)
The control cycle says from which storage type & bin you want to consume the components.

  • Raw Material Consumption to Process Orders

    Hi Friends,
I need help with changing the way how we consume raw materials in our manufacturing organization.
    Current Process:
    A.     Receive product A in Warehouse, movement type 101. Debit Inventory Account, and Credit GR/IR.
    B.     Move product A to a storage location (out of Warehouseu2019s custody). Movement type 311. No impact to P&L, as no accounting entries.
    C.     Consume product A in a u2018Process Orderu2019 from that storage location 311. Debit Consumption Account, and Credit Inventory Account.
Product A is listed in Bill of Materials and has to be issued to process orders for final consumption u2013 to give production variance as we are on standard costing system.
    Desired Process:
We want to have stronger controls in our organization. We want to hit P&L in step B, as soon as Warehouse issues items out. This can be done using movement type 201 GI for Cost Center.
But we also desire to see final consumption happening in process orders, as all our BOMs and standard costs account for the consumption of product A.
Please advice how do we issue items to a process order that have already been issued to a Cost Center. What is it that I am missing?
    Thanks,
    Meet A

I believe we will stick with our current process. See Ajay's reply on the link below:
Raw Material Consumption to Process Orders
    Thanks and regards,

  • Change material code in process order or delete process order

    Hi experts,
While creating a process order in COR1 transaction code, wrong material code was entered.
Can we change the material code in process order.  If not, what is the complete procedure to cancel or delete the process order.
    Request you to revert.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Farha.

    Dear ,
One the Process Order has been created with any material either it is wrong code or correct code , it can not be deleted .If it wrong code , then do not  perfom goods Issue -MIGO-261 or through Backflash  and also operation confirmation etc .
If Goods Issue , Confirmation happend then you need to reverse those txn once again .
In that case the best oiption will be goto COR2-Enter the Process Order -Select Process Order from Header -Restrict Processing -Choose Technically Complete .
Now , once you did TECO , then there will not be any farther txanationl posting like Goods Issue , confirmation will not be possible .Likewise , you can also Lock or make set CLOSE  from COR2 in case there is no WIP , Variance .
    Hope this is clear
    Regards

  • Problem during Process Order Confirmation - COR6N

    Dear All,
    We are into process industries
Till now we are creating different BOM for each section and different process orders for each BOM.
For example Pulverize, Acid MIXING, Continuous Rotery, Blending and Packng.
Now we have created new BOM for FG - showing all input/output of  RM, SFGs.  In Recipe, define operation for each section. and assign operation to material.  I have attached screenshot of Recipe Operation.
During process order confirmation, system shows movement type of all material perfectly during each phase. But during confirmation of last phase system does not show 101 movemet of FGs.
I have checked in Recipe, control key is ok i.e. Automatic GR,  in OPK4 setup is also correct.
We have created new BOM and Recipe. There is no change in other configuration parameter.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nirav

    Hi Nirav
The automatic goods receipt is defined by the operation/phase control key.
Control key PI03 has the automatic goods receipt setting by defaul.
Analyzing the screenshot I could observe that this control key is assigned to all the opration/phases, however, it should only be assigned to the last operation/phase, where the goods receipt will actually take place.
For all the previous operations/phases you should use a different control key, without automatic goods receipt, such as PI01.

  • Automate WM material staging for release order parts.

    Hi all,
We use LP12 for monitoring WM Material Staging of Release Order parts. Is there a way to automate the process of WM Material Staging for Release Order parts?
Is there is any Standard SAP Program which can be run in the background or user exit to achieve this?
    Pl suggest
    Regards
    SB

    Hi Arunachalam,
You can configure WM staging settings in Production Scheduling Profile (OPKP)
You need to update WM Request field and the available options are:
No creation of transfer requirements on order release
X   Only creation of transfer requirements on release
1   Transfer requirement and transfer order on release
Hope this will solve your problem.
    Please check and Revert.

  • Material Staging for Production Order

    Hi,
I am doing Material Staging against production Order using T Code MF60. We don't have WM setup in the enterprise structure so the Staging is done via IM Mvmt. Type 311. My problem is that the material document created using MF60 does not have a reference of Production order or vise versa. Can anyone suggest a configuration or a user exit that can be used to make a reference link between the Production Order and the Staging Document?
    Thanks
    Arvind

    Hi!,
Though whatever you are asking for is not possible with standard SAP but you can try this work around solution:
    Click on replenishment element.
Now in MF60  Menu > View > Table column > Select " All Column" (after clicking ).
Now system will show some open fields (like Goods recipient, unloading point etc) on replen. element.
There in one of the field like unloading point (which you are not using elsewhere) you can enter the production order number so when you stage the same that order number will be saved in that document and you can get it from RESB table against the reservation number.
To automate the same you can use some enhancement with above logic.
I hope this helps in resolving your problem.

  • Missing stock during Process Order creation

    Hello Masters.
I'm facing a new problem here in my client.
    Thats the situation:
We are trying to generate a subcontracting process order to delivery a semi finished material to a supplier in order to be packed. We already have a contract with this ssupplier, its been saved as a supplier, we already did this operation with him more than once.
The question is that during the process to create the process order, system is giving us a message that there is no enough stock off semi finished material to be send to the supplier.  (it comes a message that is missing a small quantity to fiill the right amout we want to send to the 3rd party - something around 1,5% of the total amount)
But if we go to MMBE we can see the same amount of stock we want to delivery to the supplier in free utilization.
Besides we are using here WM we didn't see any difference that could give us the error.
In QM inspection batch all the amount were released (321 movement) no sample quantity was taking/retained.
The most insteresting part is the we did the same operation for the next batch of the same semi-finished material. I mean for the batch produced yesterday (monday may 9th) we already sent to the 3rd party for packing but for the batch from last friday, we are facing the issue.
In this case we have the same kind of process order, same 3rd party, same materials, same process a so on.
Please could you give me an idea where should I look for a solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harlen

Hello Vivek thanks for your anwer.
However, Ive talked to a QM consultant and presented the issue for him. He told me to use a SAP program QEVAC20 ( notes  48815 and 717622 ) to check possible inconsistences  between QM and IM stock.
So We will try to use this report to check if there is an issue. Have you used this program before? Do you think it should help us?
Due to the process to create the process order, there is no issue, no issue with batch number or inspection lot. The error message comes when we try to select the batch number of semi finished material in COR1 tcode.
The message complains theat is missing a small quantity of the batch.
    Tks,
    Harlen

  • Material staging in Process industries

    Hai gurus,
I have one problem at client end.
    1) The raw material is received from main stores to production stores, from there the material is issued to shop floor for
consumption, In shop floor some material is kept as balance stock after consumption for the next day. How to handle this
         issue in SAP
    2) In the same way the material related to quality ( Blending materials - Rectified spirit/colour/flavour and ageing whisky) is    received at production stores and from there it is moved to quality stores by internal transfer from there it is moved to blending section, from there the blended material issued to stores . How to handle this issue in SAP.
waiting for the the positive reply.
    regards.
    sekar chand

    Hai Dharma,
Thanks for your reply, Based on your reply I can receive the material from main warehouse to Production main stores, but from there it is issued to production shop floor, where the( bottles) one of the rawmaterial is cleaned , washed and rinsed, so during
this proces there is lot of breakage is there. so While confirming the process order, the shop floor people will list the actual
consumption ,breakage etc, but there is also some stock of bottles left at the end of the shift for the next day prodiction at
    the shop floor.
So how to handle this situation.

  • Batch determination during process order release

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem, and not able to figure out the reason. There is material having base unit as 'EA' and Issue unit as 'NO' and conversion is 10 NO= 1 EA. The same material is maintained in the BOM as 1 NO. At the time of creation of process order, system is copying the same quantity in the process order (1NO). When I release the process order, the batch determination is happening. Now the issue comes, instead of doing batch determination of 1 NO, system is doing batch determination for 1 EA (which is equivalent to 10 NO.!). Can anyone help me to find out the reason for same.
    Thank you.
    Sagar

    Dear Mohit,
If you want to go for external batch numbering during order release then
    - Set no automatic Batch creation in order in T.Code CORY.
This setting only restrict the automatic Batch Creation in order only. But to fulfill second your requirement of restricting order release or save without assigning external batch no you have to either go for,
    - User exit.Below are the user exits which are trigger at the time of order saving
PPCO0006 to predefine entries for order header fields when
    an order
PPCO0001 to provide information at the time of saving (for
    production orders and process orders)
PPCO0007 to check or change header data when saving
    or
    - Create screen variant using T.code SHD0 and make Batch Field compulsory.

  • Changing material number when Process Order is released

    Hello,
We have a scenario in which the material number of a process order may need to be changed after the process order is released.  We will have both in process and post production inspection types assigned to this order, and both inspection lots are created at process order release.  We also will have a batch number created at process order release.
When recording test results in the inspection lot before a process order has been confirmed, the users may identify that the material number should be different.  We would like a way to be able to either change the material number in the process order (and inspection lots).  We know this involves a lot of updates (master data changes to the existing process order and inspection lots).  Currently, there is no way to transfer information to a new material number without receiving product in and performing a usage decision in the post production inspection lot to transfer to a new material number.
The client has implemented all modules, except PP (which we are in the process of now).  We know that Variant Configuration would have been the right solution for this, but this is not an option since MM is already implemented.
If you have any suggestions, please reply.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Prasobh,
The exact scenario is as follows:
    1. A semi finished good will be used as a component to produce the finished good.
    2. This semi finished good will have treatments added to it, and quality inspection will be performed as treatments are added.
    3. Inspections will occur several times as treatments are added.  If during one of these inspections, material is out of spec, and the blend should be transferred to another material number, we need to be able to change to another material number.  To have a customization where material number is changed in all of the relevant PP and QM tables seems risky.
This is why we can't really use material classification.  We also do not have the option to use VC bc the MM module is already implemented.
    Thanks.

  • Process Order Deletion issue.

    Dear PP/SAP Master,
Good Day. I encounter one issue as below:
Standard SAP will create the reservation based on dependent requirement once there's process order created.
Example Raw Material are used in FG PO , Raw Material will in reservation when FG PO created.
If the Process Order flag for deletion , the stock from reservation will move back to unrestricted.
There's one issue , after i deleted the FG Process order but the Raw material in reservation are not move back to unrestricted.
Kindly Please if anyone know how this can happen.
    thank you.

    Dear ,
Frist of all , technically , you can set deletion flag  for process order  when this order is finicially setteled  within FY periods , Technically complete from production [TECO] , Final Goods Issue indicator is set [GMPS] , Operations are confirmed [CNF] and Goods Delivery completed [DLV]
Or , you should reverse all of them .If it is not settled so far by FICO , then reverse TECO [CO02-FUNCTION-Revock TECO] , Reverse  Goods Receiept -102 -MIGO ,Reverse Goods Issue -262-MIGO , Reverse Confirmation -CO13 and  then you can set deletion Flag .
If you set deletion flag prior to that , stock will not move back to unrestricted stock .Settting deeltion flag does not mean you have deleted the PO rather it is an entry to SAP tabel  for Process Order .
    Regards
