  • The RFC Receiver adapter giving the proper response message

    Hi Experts,
I done the one interface, that is Soap to RFC synchronous communication. I am passing the data from soap client and at the same time getting the response from sap system. but that is the wrong response. if i am testing the function module it giving proper response. at the calling interface level i am getting the wrong response. can you please help the this query.
    Thanks & regards,
    Veera.

    Hi Sathish,
    As per ur post...
If the RFC working  fine when testing and it's giving wrong response from Pi means...
1.there may be a chance of error in mapping.
I hope u may made the RFC as remote Enabled.
Also make sure that if u change the interface input and output parameters... u import the new RFC again and activate it.
before actually using it mapping.. u can test it once by using same RFC for both sender and receiver.
If it works fine.. then ur mapping should work.
If still problem occurs please do post.

I've never heard any agent use those words...and I cannot correlate them to anything I know about. Did they perhaps say anything more? Hopefully they did, but it's impossible to usefully guess from just that report from them. Did they indicate what kind of lock? There are just too many possibilities to know how to proceed here.
Further, did they just fob you off like that? Since you pay them for all of your services, they are responsible for supporting you in that regard, including escalating up to RIM if necessary. To just fob you off like that is incredibly poor customer service. Did you try a different agent? It's sad, but you often find that different agents have different levels of training...

  • RFC Receiver Adapter and RFC Destination -- Help

    Hi,
I would like to configure the RFC Receiver Adapter for the invokation of a RFC on SAP System (Name: ALPHA) using a RFC destination provided by another system named BETA.
I have set External Server as server type.
My first question is: I have to quote an application server gateway and a gateway service. Is this information related to a service on ALPHA or BETA?
    My second question is:
It is also necessary to provide a Programm-ID. The destination on BETA is a R/3 connection and doesn't have a programm id. Where do I get this from?
    And my last question is:
Is at all possible to use the RFC destination on BETA?
    Any help is really appreciated...
    Kind regards,
    Heiko

    Hi Heiko,
I don't fully understand your need but:)
since both of your systems are SAP systems
why are you trying to use external server?
can't you just call RFC on BETA
and inside this RFC on beta call RFC on ALPHA?
in a sync or async way?
can you tell a little more about your requirement ?

  • How to call the RFC from XI system

    Dear Friends,
My requirement is RFC to RFC scenario      i.e SAP to XI to Third party system.
I have the BAPI_EUQI_CREATE rfc, this RFC is available in ECCsystem, that RFC I imported in XI system, so third party system how to call this RFC.
please give me the suggestion it is very helpful.
    Regards,
    Shalini Shah

    Hi Shalini,
You have create a RFC in the 3rd party system and import that RFC in XI System using 3rd party adapter.Do the necessary mapping and configure the sender RFC Adapter and at receiver side configure 3rd paty Adapter.
The 3rd party adapters must be installed via Deploy Tool or JSPM. But u should have a sda file with the adpater content.
see here for more details on JSPM
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5006901f-925c-2910-5f98-9ae26cc07eca
    For more info:
If you still want to do it,
    1. Import the RFCs of sender and of receiver.
    2. Do the necessary mapping.
    3. Configure sender and receiver RFC adapters.
Before that check if you have RFC destination for the RFC adapter. If not You should establish it. To establish an RFC destination for the RFC adapter.
    1. Call the transaction Display and Maintain RFC Destinations (SM59).
    2. Select an existing RFC destination of type ABAP Connections (for example, ABAP_Old) by double-clicking it.
    3. Choose Destination ® Copy and copy the RFC destination using a new name (for example, ABAP_New).
    4. Save the new RFC destination (ABAP_New) and delete the old RFC destination (ABAP_Old).
    5. Create a new RFC destination (for example, RFC_Adapter) of type T (TCP/IP connection) as the RFC destination for the RFC adapter.
    6. Select the registration type Registered Server Program and in the Program ID field enter the corresponding program ID from the configuration of the sender RFC adapter.
    7. In the Gateway host and Gateway service fields, enter the gateway host and gateway service from the configuration of the sender RFC adapter.
    8. If the sender system is a Unicode system, define the RFC destination as Unicode.
    9. Using the name of the old ABAP connection (ABAP_Old), create a new RFC destination of type L (logical destination with reference entry).
    10. In the Reference Entry field enter the RFC destination (RFC_Adapter) for the RFC adapter.

  • RFC Receiver Adapter Problem- Sending Blank XML Node

    Hi,
I'm using the RFC receiver adapter to call a RFC in R/3 from XI 3.0
In the payload XML one node is blank as I want to pass a blank parameter to the RFC. But in R/3 the blank node is getting converted to #
Can anyone suggest how can I pass a blank node while calling the RFC using RFC receiver adapter in XI 3.0?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dipankar

    Hey
Please check the outbound payload in sxmb_moni and RWB,if the field is blank there, then it means that PI is passing correct value to ECC.its possible that RFC has been coded in such a way that it converts blank spaces to #.Please look at RFC documentation in that case and see if it helps more.
If the outbound payload itself in PI is showing as # instead of blank, then check the message mapping in PI.
    Thanx
    Aamir

  • RFC receiver channel, message not reflecting in Receiver ECC system

    Hi All,
We are using Receiver RFC adapter to call a custom RFC (ASynchronous call). It was working fine, But now after we made a few changes in the mapping. The message is successful in PI, but it is not visible in ECC. When I check in RWB, I think the payload is not going correctly to ECC.  I have re-imported the RFC and tried as well. It still does not work.
Kindlhy let me know what to do.
    Rgds,
    Mithun

    Hi Rajhan,
My abaper is doing that,  By that time, i just saw the payload in the message display tool(MDT) in RWB...
it looks like some junk data

where as in sxmb_moni of PI system the payload after mapping is
    "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

  • RFC receiver asynchronous

Hi,  i’ve got a problem with an Asynchronous message. The operation goes from an FTP to a RFC. The file adapter converts a flat file into a XML, and the XML is sent to a Remote RFC.
Everything is ok in XI. In the SXMB_MONI and in the RFC adapter monitor we see that the message is correctly sent to the RFC, but the RFC receive nothing.
We have written a short routine in the RFC that just insert an ‘X’ in a testing table, but nothing happen.
    Thanks.

    Hi Eduardo,
look as well to XI: SM58 and R/3: ST22 to find out the reason.

  • RFC receiver config withload balancing ?

    Hi Guys,
I have configured the RFC receiver with load balancing. I have given the sap receiver system details and the name of the message server as sapms+SID.
I am getting the following error in PI, which says message server is unknown and i tested in the receiver system and the message server with this name exists.
what could be the problem,  any helkp would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    srini

    Hi Srini,
I dont have access to system now.
<i>You dont need to create the logon group.</i>
For logon group ask your BASIS team. Alternatively if you have access to SLD then go to technical system details for the SAP system.
You will find all the logon groups mentioned there.
If you dont see there, then check in the SAP logon pad. Check detail entry for the SAP system. You will find the logon group mentioned there.
For paramter details see SAP help for RFC adapter.

  • Encoding in RFC Receiver

    Hello,
I have trouble with the following scenario:
Data from an R3 system is obtained by an RFC call and then send via SOAP to a 3rd party system.
On the R3 system the data is encoded in different codepages which need to be converted to UTF-8 before sending them via SOAP.
So I want to use an adapter module in the RFC receiver channel to make this conversion.
Unfortunatelly it seems like the data I am receiving in the adapter module is already converted to UTF-8, but from the wrong codepage.
For example I am expecting data to be sent to me in ISO-8859-9 and there should be the letter I with a dot above it in the payload which equals hex "c4 b0" in UTF-8. But instead I am finding "c3 9d" which is is the letter Y with acute. When I now look into the ISO-8859-9 code table, I find that my c4 b0 letter has the code DD. The letter I am getting instead is not in the ISO-8859-9 table, but it is in the ISO-8859-1 table.. and guess where, it also has code DD. The same goes for other letters.
So it seems the payload I am getting is already in UTF-8, but got converted to UTF-8 from the wrong codepage (In this case it seems like it was converted to UTF-8 from ISO-8859-1 instead of ISO-8859-9).
What can I do to receive the payload in the right encoding?

    > When its unicode, you should receive it in UTF-8.
Unicode or not, the RFC adapter always converts the payload into UTF-8, so there is nothing left to do here.
    Regards
    Stefan

    JCO.Table records=func.getTableParameterList().getTable("ET_TestTable");
    ArrayList list=new ArrayList();
    for (int i = 0; i < records.getNumRows(); i++, records.nextRow()) {
    list.add(records.getString("Name"));

My av receiver will be later connected to a projector with hdmi connection. (my actual one has only a VGA connection and cannot be connected to the pioneer receiver
I want to transfer the image and audio signal from the MBA to av receiver (with sound played on the connected speakers) and the image from there to a hdmi connected projector
But the sound keep to be played on my mac book air...
    Could somebody help me?

  • TDMS RFC Connections Being Changed in Receiver Client

When using TDMS to refresh a  test client, what settings should be change to not have the RFC and partner profiles changed in the receiver system?  When using TDMS to refresh a test client, it is copying over the RFC connections and partner profiles.  As a result, the test client has RFC connections and partner profiles pointing to external production apps.  A minimum of an hour of work is needed to adjust the connections and there a potential of test data being sent to a production system before changes are made.

I spoke with  my system integrator who had initially informed me of the issue.  After further review, we believe TDMS may only have changed the ports and partner profiles but not the RFC connections.  We have ports and partner profiles referring to RFC connections that do not exist.  I did some research and was recommended I exclude the tables listed below from copy/delete.  In an attempt to test, I have removed them from the copy/reduction and from the deletion.  I am now receiving errors defining the conversion objects.  "DDIC activation failed for one of the structures listed below" on conversion objects Z_T399X_00A, Z_X_AUFK_00A and Z_X_AUFPL_00A.  From the troubleshooting options, I have attempted the Automatic Repair and Force Redefinition without success.
I am going to apply SAP OSS Notes 1362351 and 1363551 to resolve the issue.
