Maximum number of values in a filter

Hi Dears,
I would like to know what is the maximum number of values that I can enter a filter in SAP BO Webi.
10, 1000 or a million do not know.
Please help.

Hi Andres,
The default value for MAX_INLIST_VALUES is -1. With this, there will not be any limitation from BO end. The limitation (if any) would be from the database in case you are passing within IN operator as below:
table1.column1 IN (value1, value2, value3,.....,value n)
For example, Oracle will allow only 1000 values with IN operator.
In your case, this limitation should not come into picture. Try with a value as -1 and check.

Likely no. However, these fields end up being part of the SQL SELECT statement that is sent to the data manager/DBMS. There is a size limit of the SQL statement that can be sent (16Kb or some such). If SQL statement exceeds that, you get a short dump.

My question is what is the maximum number of values we can put inside the bracket in the querry?

A comma-delimited list of expressions can contain no more than 1000 expressions. A comma-delimited list of sets of expressions can contain any number of sets, but each set can contain no more than 1000 expressions.

COPA - Maximum number of value fileds and characteristics

Does anybody know wich is the maximum number of value fields in COPA module . VVXXX
I remember that in 4.6 it's something like 56.
There's also a maximum, in the number of characterisitcs that you can use in COPA?

The technical limits for data structure of an operating concern could constrain further extension for large applications.
The current limits are set as follows:
50 characteristics
120 value fields
249 fields in table
1948 bytes of table width
Other terms

Reason and Prerequisites
This was due to historical as well as performance reasons, because of database and system limitations in past.
Solution
As of basis 6.20 package 25 was extended the limit of database table length to 4030 characters. According that, the limits for CO-PA data structure are adapted as well.
By applying of the attached source code correction the limits are extended as follows:
50 characteristics
200 value fields
749 fields in table
4030 bytes of table width
Caution:
The correction can be applied also in ERP release 4.70, but only under the condition, that basis release 6.20, support package 25 or higher is applied.

Maximum number of filter values in BEx web

Hi
Is it possible to change the maximum number of filter values displayed when running a query?
Example: When the user runs a query and has to put in a material number, he pushes the button which shows him the possible values for input. The number of values displayed per page is 14 and the maximum number of pages is 72. The maximum number of values is 1000. If the user tries to search, he only searches amongst the 1000 possible values. Is it possible to change the number of possible values shown to unlimited?
We use NW04s BI SP09.

I have the same problem , the maximum number of hits si set to 200 , ant the variable contains over 300 values , it is a variable based on a time charactersitic , and the values appear in ascending order , i mean the first 01.1900 , and the last value 03.2012 . i wonder if there is a way to change the order of sort to descending order . I mean the first value 03.2012 and the last one 01.1900 . I attach the image .

User Settings for BEX Analyzer - Max number of values displayed

Hi Experts,
we are trying to change the Maximum number of values that get displayed from 1000 by default to some other number.
the setting windows that I refer to above can be reach by this path.
When you open up a Query in Analyzer, you are prompted to Variable Entry screen, if you click on the select on the list box next to a field (double squre boxes) then on the next pop windown that opens on the top right there is settings button (guy's face and box) this should bring you to User setting window, here go to Value Restrictions tab, you will see 1000 selected under No. of Displayed values....we want this number to be different by default for ALL Users.
What is the t-code or path to change this number in BW.

its standard to have 1000 rows in sap BW 7.0. We can't change the default standard setting.

Issue : In sharepoint 2013, I am experiening below error while using filter in the list view due to the number of items in this list exceeds the list view threshold, which is 10000 items. Tasks that cause excessive server load (such as those
involving all list items) are currently prohibited.
Error :cannot show the value of the filter.The Field may not be filterable or the number of items returned exceeds the list view threshold enforced by administrator
Could you please suggest a way to avoid this issue apart from incrementing the list view threshold limit .

Maximum number of "Single values" accepted in "Multiple Selection"

Hello gurus. I wonder if you could help me with this.
You know how in transactions like the Data Browser (SE16), you want to look up records in a table, for example MARA.
If you want to list only individual values, then you can press the yellow arrow to the right of the fields, and this opens the "Multiple Selection" window. In it you can add single values, ranges, etc.
My question is, what is the maximum number of single values that you can put in here?
For example, sometimes if I put like 5000 lines, instead of getting a result I get an ABAP runtime error that reads:
Runtime errors DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
"Error in the module RSQL accesing the database interface".
But if I put around 1500 or less, then I don't have that problem. It lists the results just fine.
How do I know what the maximum number of lines these functions allow?

BEx Analyzer Drop Down Maximum Number of Dislayed Values

Is it possible to adjust the maximum of 100 (Properties of DropDown>Selection>Maximum Number of Displayed Values)? I have searched the API and i could not find that setting in there. Is there a hardcoded global setting that can be changed?

Hi Jon,
If you are using 7.0 version. Place dropdown in workbook and click to get properties. On Selection Tab you will get maximum number of displayed values. Select the number.

Maximum number of key/value pairs in btree or hash database

It's not clear to me from the documentation what the limit is on the number of key/value pairs in a Btree or hash database. The documentation on logical record numbers says that the db_recno_t type is a 32-bit unsigned type, "which limits the number of logical records in a Queue or Recno database, and the maximum logical record which may be directly retrieved from a Btree database, to 4,294,967,295". What does "directly retrieved" mean in this sentence? Does this mean that Btree is limited to 4,294,967,295 key/vaue pairs? If so, is this also the limit for a hash database?

In case of Queue, Recno and Btree configured for logical record numbers - you can do that by setting DB_RECNUM flag: http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/db_set_flags.html#DB_RECNUM , the maximum number of records is 4,294,967,295 and after that limit, the next record will be inserted as record number 1.
In case of Hash and Btree, the maximum database size depends on the page size selected by the application. Berkeley DB stores database file page numbers as unsigned 32-bit numbers and database file page sizes as unsigned 16-bit numbers. Using the maximum database page size of 65536, this results in a maximum database file size of 248 (256 terabytes).

Maximum number of field values for an Authorization object

Hello Experts,
What is the maximum number of field values can be put into the role, Is there any restriction for number of values in any authorization field?
I have put 326 values for field OBJTYPE in authorization object S_DEVELOP but not able to generate the role it is showing error.
I know I can split the values in two or more instance but wanted to know if there any other way out for this (without creating more instances)

If the values for OBJTYPE are not uniquely the same, then the system will not merge them - so nothing will be lost.
Here is another trick for you: Choose one of the transactions in the role (or create a "symbolic" one for it") where you want to have the OBJTYPE proposed automatically from. Now maintain one or two of them in SU24 and then download it to your PC. Now from the F4 value range of the OBJTYPE, add all of those values you want via copy&paste into the file and then upload into SU24 again. A read old / merge new in PFCG will then swing all the values in for you.
Single values are always better, as you do not know what else is hidden in the range or might be added in future. It is however common to see FROM / TO ranging around values such as DEBUG and FUGR although all aspects of S_DEVELOP are dangerous - even in display mode.

Is there a maximum number of Network Filter Drivers in Windows 7?

I recently tried to install Windows XP Mode on my Windows 7 laptop, and experienced a number of failures...
According to a post elsewhere on this forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-GB/w7itprovirt/thread/00c74bd9-da7b-4acb-ae5a-7112377bc7e2), one of the possible causes of this is if the maximum number of network filter drivers is installed - from Thayu:
"From your logs, the error is 0x8004a029, which basically indicates that the maximum number of network filter drivers has been reached.
Could you uninstall any other network filter driver that you think is not necessary and try installing VPC again?"
So, I uninstalled Cisco VPN, and retried the XP Mode installation, which now worked... However, I am now unable to re-install Cisco VPN - presumably for the same reason...
The software I have installed that seems relevant is:
Symantec Endpoint Security
Checkpoint VPN-1 SecureClient
Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (XP Mode)
So, am I right in thinking the maximum number of network filter drivers in Windows 7 is 3?? Is this configurable??
This is a really worrying limit for me, as I have a number of customers that I have to be able to connect to, requiring both CheckPoint and Cisco VPN software to be installed... I also require XP Mode to connect by VPN to legacy clients that don't support the MS-CHAP2 protocol, and I'd be stupid to run without Anti-virus...
Any suggestions?

Based on my research, I would like to answer you that the maximum number of network filter drivers in Windows 7 is 14. However, it is hard coded to allow 14 filter drivers. By default, the number is 8. To view the number or modify the number, please access the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\MaxNumFilters
Usually, the network filter drivers are listed in the Network Connection’s Properties. Also, it can be located by some third party programs, such as antivirus program.

IP Dropdown box - Maximum Number of Displayed Values

Using dropdown box on BEx Analyzer 7.0 only shows at most 99 values on dimension filtering.
Is it possible to extend that number of values?

How to use the prompted value in the filter expression

Hi
Is it possible to use the prompted value in the filter expression?
My requirement is that user will be prompted for a date field and I need to filter the records such that the records are displayed for the last 5 weeks from the date entered by the user.
If somehow I know how to use the prompted value in the filter expression then this requirement is easy to be done. If this is possible, please guide me?
If there are other ways to acheive the desired results then please suggest.
