MB1B & MIGO
Hi All,
I have maintained Business area required entry for movement 201 & 202.
1) If I do GI from MB1B, the field Business area working perfectly (required entry). But if I do GI thru MIGO, Business area field is not mandatory.
2) Even If I suppress the field (Business area), it is not applying to MIGO.
Kindly help where need to be configure to apply above to MIGO screen.

SPRO --> Materials Management --> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory --> Settings for Enjoy Transactions --> Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO) --> Field Selection for MIGO

In my understanding MB11 and MIGO can be used for a transfer posting or goods issue or goods reciept against any order or
for reversal of good's movements.Means it can be used for 101,102,261,262,311,312 etc.
But in MB1B,only transfer postings can be performed like transfer posting from one plant to another or one storage location to
another like 301,311,or 302,312,or to convert from one material to another using 309 movement,or to transfer the quality stock
to unrestricted stock using 321 movement can be performed.

Hi all,
When I am executing MIGO transaction in Pre-Production I am getting error as 'GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED'. IF I check thru ST22, showing message as 'Field symbol has not yet been assigned'. Could anybody please assist in this regard.Thanks in advance.

It is not popssible to resctrict any movement type for specific material codes through configuration. For restricting certain material codes for movement type 541 through tcode MB1B, ABAP coding is required in user exit. -

You can transfer consignment stock to own stock through Transfer Posting (MB1B/MIGO) with follwing movment types...
411K Transfer posting consignment to own
412K Transfer posting consignment to own - reversal
For Automatic transfer of stock ,you have to write a Program which will call MB1B in background with mvt type 411K .

Goods Issue for Cost Center 201 : special stock E not supported
Dear guru ,
I need to run a goods issue(trx.MIGO) for cost center using movement type 201 for a material
in special stock E (with sales order and sales order item).
The system send this message : special stock E not supported.
How can it solved this problem ?

Then issue this own stock to Cost center as follows

Inspection lot on transfer postings
Hi colleagues,
I would like to know your opinion about a problem that I don't know how to solve.
Is it possible to create an automatic inspection lot on transfer postings between different storage locations?
By the moment, we're creating the automatic inspection lots when we do the goods receipt from the purchase order. For this purpose we're working with Inspection type 01 on the material master (quality management view). Due to a special requirement we are not going to create the inspection lot on the goods receipt but when the goods are transferred to another stroage location.
I've changed the Inspection type on the material master from 01 to 08 - Stock transfer inspection, but nothing happens (no inspection lot created) when a transfer posting with 311 movement type is done.

Precisly 08 inpsection type has been defined for the same.
I presume that you are doing stock posting through MB1B/MIGO t code & 311 mvt type
Now if you have activated 08 inspection type it will create a Stock relevent Inspection lot with 08,whenever you are transfering material from one storage location to other.
Check the following setting
Qcc0->Quality Inspection->Inspection lot creation>Inspection for goods mvt->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type--> check here whether for 311 QM mvt is deactivated here

I am investigating a probelm related to some TX's e.g MB1B, MIGO.
How do I know that what SAP notes have been applied to a SAP tranasction.
Pls advise.
e.g. I may have to apply a SAP note to a TX but before that I want to make sure that what notes have been applied so far

GauravThe program related to MB1B...., MIGO is <u>SAPMM07M</u>, please check the program and program versions. If there are descriptions or comments maintained while applying the note then you can easily find it. Or please check the transaction SNOTE which will list you all the oss notes applied,
Also please check SPAM transaction from which you can find the package name of the OSS note in which it is included.
In every Oss note it will be mentioned in which support pack this OSS note belongs to, please check if that support pack exists in your system then it is implied that this Oss note is present in your system.

Not sure why you want to development something that is already there. Granted, if you are interfacing to an external system.

Issue with Plant to Plant Transfer Mvt type 301
Hi,
I'm trying to do a Plant to Plant Transfer using MB1B/MIGO,mvt type 301, from a plant / Storage location which is NON HU managed to a plant / Storage location which is HU Managed, I'm getting this error,
Message No : VL296.
HU cannot be delivrd from plant XXX stor. loc. XXX to plant YYYY stor. loc YYYY
Has anyone come across this error ? Any solutions?

In HU-managed storage locations, materials can be managed in HUs only. Mixed stock made up of packed and non-packed materials within the same storage location are not supported. HUs can also be managed in interim storage types.
if you want to use 311 to move the material already in stock, but in a non HUM Storage Location and you want to transfer those materials into a HUM Storage Location 304. If this is the case you can use the transaction VLMOVE with the destination plant and storage location. Before that you have to create the HU with the transaction code HU02 Storage location: where the material is and the status: in stock

Dear Experts,
Hi.
When i do packing (test) following problems occured.
Material FG- 120 Pcs
Packing Material
1) Box- Each box contains 40 pcs each
2) Carton- Each carton contains 3 Boxes each
1) When i do the packing at VL02N system created any number of HU's. Means first i packed 40 FG in Box, then i think system should show only remaining 80 pcs. But system showing all 120 pcs. Apart from 120 pcs systme allows any number of packing and that many HU's created. This is one issue.
2) The above problem i corrected by deleting additional HU and try to do the delivery. Here first i packed 40 pcs in each box, hence 3 HU's created and three HU's put together in Carton for my final packing. System shows me green signal. But when i do PGI system showing following error message
Sales order stock XXXX 000010 does not exist
Message no. M7184
Diagnosis
For sales order XXXX, item 000010, no sales order stock of the material exists in plant 1000, storage location 0001.
Could you please guide me both. For 1) why system is allowing to create multiple HU's for a specific qty and why the second issue is coming.
Please advise.

You should describe in more details what you are doing...
In packing dialog you should select the (empty) HU and the materials to be packed, specify the quantity and then click on the "pack" icon.
The partial quantity of the to be packed material should be reduced accordingly.
2)
You didn't give much details about the error.
Are you in MTO environment?
According to the information given by you system wants to consume the goods (post the GI) from SO special stock, however there's no sufficient stock in the SO segment. You should check the situation in MB52 / MMBE.
If you really need the SO stock then you should move the goods in that stock segment by MB1B (MIGO) + 412E.
Which material number appears in the error message? The number of the FG or one of the packing materials?

Enterprise Structure(Deletion of Storage Locations)

I am new to SAP MM module. I have created 5 storage locations in which i need to delete 3 locations.
What all precautions shouls i keep in mind before deleting the 3 storage locations. Kindly explain in details.

BhupeshIf you have Stock in that 3 Storage Locations then First you Transfer the Stock (Should be nil) into another Storage Locations and Delete the Storage Locations in Trxn code OX09
If you have Extended / Created Material to that Storage Location then Set the Deletion Flag using MM06 at Stor Locn Level & save.
You can Perform the Stock Transfer using MB1B / MIGO 311 Movement type.

Delivery order for sub-contract processing scenario
Hi experts,
We got a requirement from our users to sub-contract certain production processing steps (or called external processing per SAP). Same part number would be used for the goods issue and goods receipt. But would like to make the delivery for the goods issuing as the delivery for normal sales parts. (Purchase order -> Delivery order -> Shipping and Packing)
Sub-contract processing will generate purchase order like service order which only contains service fee item, and we found that no outbound delivery order can be created with reference to purchase order in standard SAP.
Have you experienced such scenario before and could share to us please?
RegardsWhen moving subcontracting part to your subcontractor you can do it via:
1. simple goods movement
2. delivery
1 Simple goods movement (transfer posting)
- /w reference to PO (MB1B + 541)
- w/o reference to PO (MB1B / MIGO + 541)
2 Delivery
Using the before mentioned ME2O you can create the delivery w/o reference to PO
Please note that even if you use the MB1B541PO reference solution, system just suggests the component qunantity on the PO w/o making a real link between PO and goods movement. You can example do the MB1B541PO reference "as many times" as you want...
So, as per my best knowledge there's no solution for your requirement.
I guess one reason of system's behaviour might be that provision of compoenents doesn't depend on one single PO - if you want to reduce your shipment cost you will send out lots of components at once, more than the amount needed for one call-off.

MB1B, MIGO --> Transfer C3 Material (to be refurbished) between storage Locations
MB11 --> To take the C3 Material into the Refurbishment Order
IW8W --> Repaired material transfers from Order to Inspection Lot (as C2)
QA32 --> Material Inspection and Transfer to Storage Location Unrestricted Stock
TECO --> Technical Completetion
