MD04 Period View

Hi All,
My client have one query. In MD04 screen when we switch to Period Total List. The requirements are shown as PIR, Requirements, Receipts etc. in Days, Week, Month depending on the selected period method.
Now as per standard system is showing only those periods where there is any value either in the form of Receipt or Requirements. Now my client wants to show those periods also where there is No activity means "Zero Values of PIR, Requirements, Receipts etc.
Is any possibility in standard to show them or by any other work around way we can do it?
Regards,
Vikash Dhiman

Hi Vikash
I don't think it's possible on standard.

  • Modify view of Default timecard periods view in OTL to sort list of periods

    Hi,
Can someone guide me if there is any way to modify default timecard periods view in OTL. We intend to sort the list of timecard periods in OTL in order to show old non sumbitted timecard periods as default rather than based on system date.
I have checked preferences->System that allow edits but that is not helpful in what we want to achieve.
    Thanks,
    Rajan

These are the tabs that are displayed and the ones it gives me options for.
There are many improvements needed for Bridge and the default metadata workspace is certainly one of them. In fact, in its current state it is next to useless and no help at all. But you are right, it should provide you with at least the description field but it does not. Oddly enough, the only way to achieve this is using the bottom right icons in the Bridge window. You see three of them, thumbs, large thumb with list and small thumbs with list. Currently you have selected the default small thumbs with list, if you use the middle one (large thumbs with list) and fiddle around with the slider for the size of the thumbs the description field magically appears in view but you are not able to put it in a separate column.
So the find option is still your best option I'm afraid...
You can also try to create your own workspace. Start dragging the borders to change the size of the panels to your comfort so you have a good overview of the panels you want to have in view.
You can also change the order and place of panels in multiple rows but you are limited to max three columns. Place the cursor on a panel tab and start dragging it to a new location. A single blue line means either between a row or a column, a surrounded blue line means add as a tab in same location. You also can drag the tabs for your custom order.
Now with the content panel in reasonable size use the icon bottom right for large thumbs and list view and use the slider for correct position of the description field. Save it as a new workspace (important to retrieve it when messed up). You can also have multiple windows in Bridge (at least on a Mac, you seem to be on Windows) and use one for list view and another for find results. etc. etc.

  • Multiload Periodic view

    FDM version 11.1.1.3
I am trying to load data in HFM Budget scenario. It loads YTD fine but I am having issues loading data in 'Periodic' view.
In the Load method on the template I have tried the following however I get the message 'unknown member PER'
    R,R,0,,,,N,N,,P
    R,R,0,,,,N,N,,Per
    R,R,0,,,,N,N,,Periodic
I have tried it at line item level also however I get the same error message 'unknown member P' or 'unknown member PER' or 'unknown member'Perio' (Periodic truncates to Perio since only 5 characters are allowed).
I couldn't find the option in Integration settings that would work for both Actuals (YTD) and Budget (periodic). Any ideas?

Hi , in addition to the workaround mentioned in the article, you need to do the following in addition to make it work properly:
    1. Navigate to the FDM Workbench;
    2. Log into the appropriate application;
    3. Drill/down to the HFM 11x G5-A Adapter;
    4. Navigate to the Actions/CheckInterSections;
    5. Activate the following line:
    If LCase(Left(strView,1)) = "p" Then strView = "PERIODIC"

  • TU/door assignment overlaps error and incorrect dates in yard door period view

    Hello friens,
I am trying to conform yard movement warehouse order from source parking bin to destination door bin of warehouse. I am getting below error. I have already checked yard door in /scwm/mon. There is no TU assigned to door. The door is free, But in the same window when I checked yard door period view, I found that my door is occupied until 31-Dec-2014. i.e. free from 31-Dec-2014. My questions are
    (1) If my door is free from TU as per the status then why and from where occupied from and free from dates appears in yard doors in period view tab of /scwm/Mon?
    (2) How to get rid of these dates?
    (3) I am getting below error while confirmation of warehouse task. How to get rid of below error? I believe if above point 2 is resolved then I will be able to confirm warehouse task.
"TU/door assignment from 07.03.2014/16:58:59 to 31.12.2014/22:59:59 has overlaps"
    Thanks,
    Milind

    Hello friends,
I found out the root cause of analysis which is the answer of point 1 above. I need answer of point 2 above which I believe would resolve point 3 question.
Occupied from and free from date in /SCWM/MON in yard management----->Yard doors come from what we maintained in default values while creation of TU in transaction code /SCWM/TU. In this transaction, default end date was 31.12.2014(31-Dec-2014). This is the reason why I am getting the issue.
Now the issue is, my door is free as there is no TU assigned. However, /SCWM/MON in yard management----->Yard doors entry is still visible without TU but presence of S&R number and there the occupied until date is 31.12 2014. My question is, how to get rid of this entry?

  • Period account closing bal includes cumul movements, even with a rule.WHY?!

Hello chaps, I've been struggling with this for a few days now and I'm going to have admit defeat. :(
I'm trying to do two things.
    1. View periodic balance sheet movements
    2. Get the correct custom closing balance to roll up once I've done 1 (in Periodic view)
    What I've done.
For Point 1. I use the SwitchTypeForFlow attribute on the flow members. This let's me see the balance sheet movements in Periodic view. Great.
Which leads me onto Point 2. Whilst I can now see the balance sheet movements in Periodic view, the closing balance (the parent of Opening + increases - decreases) does not total correctly. Instead of adding the Opening + increases - decreases for ONE period, It adds them for ALL the previous periods.
Ok, so to get round that, I thought I'd just create a new member called "ClosingBal" and override what HFM is doing. I'll now have two rules. The "OpeningBal" is just the closing balance of last period. "ClosingBal" is just the sum of opening + increases - decreases for the period. So here are the two simple rules
    HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBal=C1#ClosingBal.P#Prior"
    HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBal=C1#OpeningBal+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
But when I do this, even with the rule, it STILL adds up the cumulative increases and decreases for all prior periods as well, not just the ones for the period. Why is it doing that? All I want is my closing balance in that one period to be equal to opening balance + increases - decreases. It works fine in YTD view, but not Periodic view. I need it to work in Periodic view
    any help much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sal

    Sal,
There is no solution here that allows the user to simpley change the View member from Periodic to YTD, keeping all else the same, and get your desired result. However, you could create a solution that when a user wants Periodic numbers he/she would select the Periodic View member and then select a unique ClosingBal member (eg. 'ClosingBalPer') and a unique OpenBal member (eg. 'OpenBalPeriodic'). When the user wants YTD numbers he/she would select the YTD View member and then select a different and also unique ClosingBal member (eg. 'ClosingBalYTD') and a different and also unique OpenBal member (eg. 'OpenBalYTD').
Here you would have 2 different rules for you opening balances:
    HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBalPer=C1#ClosingBal.P#Prior"
    HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBalYTD=C1#ClosingBal.P#Last.Y#Prior"
And your ClosingBal rules would look like this:
    HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBalPer=C1#OpeningBalPer+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
    HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBalYTD=C1#OpeningBalYTD+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
In regards to the ClosingBal rules, these aren't necessary if you make the ClosingBal member a parent of the other members. If 'decreases' need to be subtracted then they should be flagged as 'SwithSignForFlow'.
With this solution if a user selected YTD with the Periodic members or Periodic with the YTD members then their numbers wouldn't make sense so there would be some user eduction involved with this solution.

  • Document type restriction in MD04

    Hello,
How can we restrcit few purchasing document types from MD04 display view.
Requirement is, we have a document type i.e. ZTR (Copy of NB) for purchasing activities of trial materials. This is not required to be considered in MRP planning. So we have activate a storage location which is MRP excluded. All POs for this document type are created for this storage location, which is not affecting any process in MRP planning.
Now planning users' requirement is to "REMOVE THESE DOCUMENT TYPES" from MD04 view.
How can we achieve this requirement ??????
    Thanks
    Dinabandhu.

Anyway, you only see them under the storage location (not planned) section, jsut for info.
You could try playing with the display filter of MD04, I think it should be possible to define such a filter.

  • A query with workingdays per month per persons per period

Can anyone help me on the way in building a difficult SQL query?
I work with Oracle SQL. It is intended to calculate over a certain period, to find the working days for each month for each person.
I have a working query for calculate the number of days for 1 months minus holidays
    Select count (*) NUM_WORK_DAYS
    From (
    Select to_date ('01-01-2010 ',' dd-mm-yyyy ') + ROWNUM-1 as day
    From all_objects
    Where ROWNUM <to_number (to_char (last_day ('01-01-2010 '), DD')) + 1)
    Where to_number (to_char (day, 'd')) between 1 and 5
    And not exists (select NULL
    From HOLIDAY
    Where Holiday.hol=day)
There is a datetable with the following structure where I can get the periods:
    DATES
    YEAR | MONTH | WEEK | SD
    2010 | 201002 | 201006 | 09/02/2010
    All required months are present
It is intended that the user give a beginning and a end time specify.
I have a table of workingdays per person named
    CALENDAR
    CAL | MON | TUE | WED | THU | FRI | SAT | SUN
    Person | Y | Y | N | Y | Y | N | N
    And a table of holidays
    HOLIDAY
    CAL | HOL
    Person | 01/01/2010
How can I combine the query for working days and build a query that returns for multiple people over multiple months the number of workingdays per month? I will ask the user to give a beginning period and a end period
I am aware that I ask a lot of your time, but I can not imagine the solution myself. Many thanks in advance
    Gr,

You can do something like this:
    SQL> select * from calendar;
        PERSON M T W T F S S
             1 Y Y N Y Y N N
             2 Y Y Y Y Y N N
    SQL> select * from holiday;
        PERSON HOL
             1 12-FEB-10
             2 09-FEB-10
    SQL> define start_day=2010-02-01
    SQL> define end_day=2010-02-20
    SQL> with period as (
      2  select DATE '&start_day' start_date, DATE '&end_day' end_date
      3    from dual),
      4  days as (
      5  select start_date+level-1 day
      6    from dual,period
      7  connect by level <= end_date-start_date+1),
      8  mycal as (
9  select person, 'monday' day, mon works from calendar union all
10  select person, 'tuesday' day, tue from calendar union all
11  select person, 'wednesday' day, wed from calendar union all
12  select person, 'thursday' day, thu from calendar union all
13  select person, 'friday' day, fri from calendar union all
14  select person, 'saturday' day, sat from calendar union all
15  select person, 'sunday' day, sun from calendar
    16  )
    17  select person, count(0)
    18    from mycal c, days d
    19   where c.day = trim(to_char(d.day,'day'))
    20     and c.works='Y'
21     and not exists (select 1 from holiday h where h.person=c.person and h.hol=d.day)
    22  group by person;
    old   2: select DATE '&start_day' start_date, DATE '&end_day' end_date
    new   2: select DATE '2010-02-01' start_date, DATE '2010-02-20' end_date
        PERSON   COUNT(0)

  • How to read MD04

    Dear SAP gurus,
I'm facing a problem of how to read the MD04. Can anyone guide what is the best way to read the information in it? Somehow, I'm just a bit confuse on the reading sequence of this report.
What are the meaning for the following terms?
    1. SubReq?
    2. CusOrd - Customer order?
    3. Delvry - Delivery order?
    4. BtchSt?
    5. Return - Return order (from customer/vendor?)
    6. SubcSt?
I think the first line is always shows the total stock available (in blue).
Subsequently, it will sort by date, do I get it right?
If a material does not extend to MRP view, but I find that it is still able to run this report MD04 to view the stock requirements.
Somewhere in the middle of the list, suddenly, it comes out a line with "SubcSt", what does this means? It shows today's date and in blue colour, also show 0 stocks available.
Then it continues to "SubReq" again. It seems like the date is backward. I'm really confuse on how to read it.
Appreciated if anyone would give me a hand.
    Thank you so much.
    Regards,
    Edwin

    hi
    1. SubReq?   Requirements to be provided are independent requirements needed in subcontracting for components to be provided.
    2. CusOrd - Customer order? A request for a customer-related service/mat including a quotation for such a service/mat.
    3. Delvry - Delivery order?
    4. BtchSt?
    5. Return - Return order (from customer/vendor?)
    6. SubcSt?
go to MD04 here on field of MRP click F1 u will get the help

  • Macros and Data View time bucket difference

    Hi,
Our client is having a macro for a dataview wherein in one of the macro step, we have a condition where the values are checked for a bucket which I dont see in the data view. For example, in the macro, we have a condition for W06/2009 while in the data view, the column starts with W10/2009. What might be the reason for this? Or else, is this a mistake?
    Regards,
    Guru.

    Hi Biplabk,
This is in response to your solution tht Macros will work on the data of the Live CAche and are not concerned of the period views in the planning book. But if that is the case, why would we have macros specific to the planning book?
So, what i am thinking is that, the macros will operate only on that data which are shown in the data view and not the other.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks,
    Guru Charan K.

  • MRP 2 of Material Master

    Dear All,
Please explain me the following things with example for MRP 2 screen of material master (mm01)
    Safety stock
    Minimum safety stock
    Dynamic Stock
    Servive level (%)
    Coverage profile
    Regards,
    Phalgun Patel

    Dear
    1) Safety stock : here you have to enter the qty .manually as per business requirement .After the MRP run ,you will  find the seperate MRP element SafeSt in MD04 and seperate planned order /purchase re. will be created for that.
    2) Coverage profile   :this is required while calculating  Dynamic safety stock ( this stock is target qty in MD04 period total view ) :.The concept is that safety stock changes as per the requirement qty and period .It basically depends on average daily requirement .This you have to study as per the following link
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/Dynamicsafetystock+calculation

  • How to create a data load file from Excel !!!

    Hi All,
I'm new to HFM and would like to load data into an HFM application. As I have an Excel file with all the data. When I'm directly loading the data it throws an error saying "No section has been specified to determine if this is data, description or line item detail". How can I convert this excel file into proper format (.dat) file understandable by HFM ?

There are several ways to get this data into HFM.
    1) FDM - best option if you have it
    2) Webforms/Data Grids
    3) HsSetValue formulas in Excel
    4) DAT file loads
    5) JVs, etc
If you wish to use DAT files created via Excel, you will likely want to use Excel VBA macros to create your DAT file to load. We do this on occasion for special projects and it works quite well. What you can do is set up an Excel file with your data inputs to look however you want, then link your POV members and amounts to another tab (we commonly call this the Export tab and it is set up in an HFM-friendly format).
Create a macro to write a DAT file to a specified location using data from the Export tab. The DAT file will need to be formatted as below. For a specific sample, you can extract data from your HFM app and see the format.
    !Data
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;Custom1;Custom2;Custom3;Custom4;Amount
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;Custom1;Custom2;Custom3;Custom4;Amount
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;Custom1;Custom2;Custom3;Custom4;Amount
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;Custom1;Custom2;Custom3;Custom4;Amount
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;Custom1;Custom2;Custom3;Custom4;Amount
Brush up on Replace, Merge, or Accumulate load options in the HFM Admin and User Guides, then upload your new DAT file.

  • How can I display the Process Level by Phase in a Grid or Data Form?

We are using phased submissions. I can see that changing the display options on a grid will show the current Process Level for the processing unit defined by the POV. But how can we break this down by phase?

Try what is suggested in Page 243 of the User's Guide:
You can display multiple submission phases, view review level status, and perform process management actions for multiple phases in Process Control.
If you select Single period view, you can select one or more submission phases to include in the columns. For each column, you can display one or more of these options: Calculation Status, Journals, Review Level, Pass/Fail, and Validation. If selected, Review Level, Pass/Fail, and Validation are included for each phase. Since Calculation Status and Journals apply to the entire processing unit, they are displayed only once regardless of how many phases are selected. If you select All period view, you can select Calculation Status or Review Level information for the columns. If you select Review Level information, you should select one submission phase
for display. When you select All periods, or Tree for the display, the filter option is unavailable.
    Here is the options:

  • How to configure HFM to allow loading of EOM and AVG rates?

I am new to HFM and would appreciate some assistance with loading of Exchange rates. I have created the currency members in the Value and Account Dimensions, and have also created two additional accounts (in the Accounts dimension) to capture the EOM and AVG rates, and tagged these as "currencyrate" in account type. How do I get the rates to appear in C1 and C2 so that I can load EOM and AVG rates? Firstly, the TO and FROM rates do not appear in C1 & C2 for me to select (via a Grid).  And when I tried to load the data via a flat file, the system highlights that the intersection is invalid..
    Scenario;Year;Period;View;Entity;Value;Account;ICP;C1;C2;C3;C4;Amount
    Actual;2013;Jul;YTD;[None];<Entity Currency>;EOMRate;[ICP None];AUD;USD;[None];[None];X.XXXX
When I tried creating the currencies in C1 & C2, the system rejected the members due to duplication (ie in the Value dimension)
    Assistance appreciated.
    Thanks
    JC

    Hi JC,
To view/load the rates in a grid you'll want to select [Currencies] from View option in your Member Selection.  View is the first of the three icons at the top of the screen (View, Filters, and Options).  Once you select [Currencies] you'll see a list comprised of all members you've previously added to the Value dimension.
Your flat file looks good, however, you might try loading to [None] in the Value dimension rather than <Entity Currency>.  Also, confirm the members to which you're loading in C1 and C2 exist in the Value dimension.
Note: you can also view/load rates using HsSetValue formulas.
    Thanks,
    Erich
