Merchandise Distribution

Hi
Query with regard to Collective PO,
1 BOX = 6 EA
1 CAR = 8 BOX
Store 1 -  Created STO for 10BOX with DC
Store 2 u2013 Created STO for 10 BOX with DC
Store 3 u2013 Created STO for 10 BOX with DC
Minimum order quantity with Vendor agreement is "CAR".
So, doing collective PO through WF10 and system is proposing 30 BOX, Manually changing it into 1 CAR (i.e. 48 BOX).
Done Goods receipt based on Purchase order for 1 CAR (48 BOX), 30 BOX received in Cross Docking storage location and 18 BOX received in Putaway storage location.
While executing WF50, system is bring u201C48 BOXu201D in the Distributing quantity but need to distribute only 30 BOX.  System is allowing to proceed further is the Distributing quantity is not equal to Planned Quantity.
Query:
1)      How to distribute only 30 BOX.  ???
Thanks,
L.B.

Hi LB,
Your question is a bit misleading.
If you go by your statements 1 CAR = 48 EA and in this case you are receiving 30 Boxes which means you have 180 EA and hence 48 Boxes are ruled out.
For quantity variances in terms of over and under delivery you may refer to OSS Note 1378091 and its related Note 1150693
Hope its helpful.

  • Delivery not created in Merchandise distribution - WF30

    Hi Experts,
I am came accross an issue wherein delivery not created for merchandise distribution.
It is automatically created at the time of goods receipt.
We are using flow through process.
On same day, three PO created via allocation table. Each PO had its STOs linked to it and same article in it.
For two POs, merchandise distribution happened automatically on goods receipt.
For third PO, it failed for same article.
I can see in WF30, there is FT qty populated in adjust button.
That means qty is adjusted per STO.
    But then delivery not created.
I am wondering why is is not created for one PO but processed successfully for another two POs.
    Article master is not chenged.
Can anybody please advice, what could be the possible reason for it.

    Sagar,
For the article in the third PO, please check what storage location is being picked up. Check the cumulative ATP quantity for this article/storage location (use Co09 with checking rule B). There maybe a shortage of stock.
    Thanks,
    Suhas

  • Merchandise Distribution Collective PO with SLS - Minimum Order Value

    Hi,
My organisation is using Merchandise Distribution with SLS to generate collective PO's at our consolidation platforms before generating either STO's or PO to the supply source.
We're utilising Cross Dock and Flow Through to support our processes but in the case of Cross Dock, we're essentially asking the supply source to pick/pack the stock for the final recipient, therefore it can be quite an expensive process for the supply source (but clearly not for us).
Before we implemented this the supply source used to simply receive orders directly from the store and within this process we applied Minimum Order Values, as per my previous statement it can be expensive and picking a couple of small items for one store and having to put them on a pallet is not economical for them in either warehousing or transportation.
I'm looking for some broad suggestions on how this could be achieved whilst utilising collective orders.
Our store STO's generated by MRP (and soon enough F&R) are large STO's that are not truly supply source specific, they are consolidation platform specific and the collective orders generated off the back of them are supply source specific.
The key issue i see is that we're asking for a select group of lines within the store STO to meet an MOV of the vendor OR that we somehow ensure that the store STO's are supply source specific and then enforce some MOV logic.
Obviously this isn't standard but it's causing our organisation big supply issues, so any thoughts or advice would be fantastic.
    Many thanks

    Hi ,
You can not do directly in ME59N. Check for user exit for this t code.

  • Merchandise Distribution (WF10) Modifications Anyone?

    Hi everyone,
As the subject suggests, i'm trying to figure out if anyone has been involved in or has modifiied WF10?
Below i've highlighted 3 areas we want to improve, but please let me know of any changes you've made.
We've been using Merchandise Distribution now for over 12 months and find the standard functionality just isn't delivering expected results as it's fairly limited / under developed compared with most Retail functionality.
    1)  Not being able to select input STO document types into the collective process, thus generating a distinct output collective document type.  (Input type driving output type)
      -  At our organisation we've a number of document types to segregate demand types (Allocation, Replen, Range review etc), the standard solution just groups them together into a single collective, therefore loose this segregation at out DC where they provide value added services (special labelling / packing etc).
      -  Ideally we would want to do multiple runs of WF10 for each DC to generate a Collective By Doc Type.  Has anyone done this?
    2)  The Delivery Due Date on the collective is not related to the STO Delivery Due Date, it's separately calculated at the DC level.
      -  If we happen to create an STO with an allocation with a due date of a months time (pre ordering for a range review maybe), then the collective is generated with the standard lead time, which then requires manually changing, if we don't it gets closed far too early in relation to the STO's.
      -  Also we exclude the weekends from out store level due date calculation when ordering internal from the DC, collectives don't have any awareness of this or config available, so the two documents are always out of sync.
      -  Ideally we would want this to be based upon the STO(s) Net of the lead time between the DC and Store, to allow for the inventory to be processed prior to the store requiring it.
    3)  There is no real way to group STO's by delivery due dates, to create a Collective that has "clean" STO due dates contained within.  You can select the procurement period and schedule line interval etc, but this doesn't group STO's into collective.  We could run WF10 many many times going into the future for individual days, but this doesn't sounds viable really and even still wouldn't produce the right result.
      - We basically find we group all sorts of stuff together, all of which actually need delivering on different days, which in our fairly complex and flexible supply chain just doesn't work well.
      -  Ideally it would be a single collective run(by doc type), which grouped STO's and split collectives by the STO due dates
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Prabhu,
Thats been most helpful indeed, thank you!
We met with SAP today and discussed, they recommended that for the selection by document type would need to be a modification and recommended that they should do this as a customer development, rather than develop in-house.  In truth i think this is the best approach due to ongoing support.
I would be really interested to find out a little more, as there are so few organisations using WF10 and it's a fairly underdeveloped area of SAP retail.
Two things i'd be particularly interested in is:
    1)  Do you have anymore information on the other changes you said were similar to what i mentioned (i'm assuming splitting by due date and due date calculation changes?)?
    2)  If possible would you be able to share with me on email which organisation it is that had these change made, as our organisation would be keen to speak with them on this. I know this isn't always possible for a number of reasons. If this is ok let me know and i'll send you my email address.
    Kind regards,
    Dave

  • Merchandise Distribution: Taking existing stock before buying externally

    In merchandise distribution,
    - for pull, when creating a collective purchase order (WF10),
    - for push, when generating follow-on document (WA08),
what are the configurations to make the system take the existing warehouse stock into account before trying to procure from an external vendor?
For example (pull), a store creates an STO for 15 EA of article A, and there are 10 EA of it at DC, so the system create a PO for only 5 EA.
For example (push), the quantity of article A specified in allocation table is 15 EA, and there are 10 EA of it at DC, so the system generates a PO for only 5 EA and an STO for 15 EA.
I'm aware that there is a check box "Dels with Stock Reduction" in the site profile, but even if I check it, the system still does not take the existing stock into account before procure externally.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    VT

Hello VT, the beauty of these merchandise distribution functions includes:
    - To move merchandise more quickly throgh the distribution center.
    - To reduce costs for merchandise processing and storage.
None of these functions considers actual DC stock, because they are meant to be used without this stock.
What i´ve seen in companies over the years is that DC stock is sent to the stores or returned to vendor before the implementation of these functions, because one of the mayor goals is to have zero stock of these articles at DC.
Anyway, you can try with creating your own function module for the distribution profile. SAP provides function group WRF4, you can create your own and assign it.

  • Retail : Merchandise Distribution and decentralized WMS

    Hello Dear Experts !
My customer uses SAP Retail and a decentralized WMS.
We're setting up a FT flow, but the WMS requires to know that a GR is subject to distribution using the link Vendor PO-Store deliveries.
So, the standard business process is not applicable :
    - Create the store's STO/SO
    - Create a global vendor PO
    - Create the GR.
    - Adjust the quantities
    - Create the deliveries
This because at the interfacing of the vendor PO, we can't adjust the quantities (as the GR is not done...)
I'm trying to convince the customer this is NOT the best practice, but...
Does anyone have any suggestion how I could set up such a flow using standard functionality ?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Function to create DO in Merchandise Distribution

    Hi,
Can some one tell me the function which is called during Goods Receipt for Central PO using allocation?
I cann find where to debug.
I need to see if the DO can be created as per site order.
Currently, the DO is created as per warehouse order in FRET
    Thanks

    Hi Vinícius,
I believe it's SAVE_TEXT you should be using.
Add a break-point for this function and update your text manually in transaction VL02N to confirm it's syntax and input values.

  • How to set priority to site in merchandise distribution

I set up the site group and assign sites to the site group.
i wanted to put the site entry according to priority,
    eg.
    1055
    1023
    1046
    1001
When I displayed out the site group, it is sorted according to site number and not according to the pattern in which I made the entry.
When I setup the allocation table, the site in the site group is in site order, which is not what I want.
I want it to be show in the pattern that I had made.
If I wished to assign priority to sites, how can I configure it.
    Thanks
    Bye

    Hi ANVV,
This is possible. There is a variable varNotificationReq which is created along with the email activity. In that variable there is a element emailheader. set the headername as 'Importance' and headervalue as 'high'

  • Delay in automatic OBD creation after GRN in collective purchase order

    Gurus,
    1. For certain articles only, there is a delay in automatic outbound delivery creation once GRN is done for a collective purchase order. The stores raise individual POs to the DC and the DC raises a collective PO to the factory/ manufacturing unit in this case. The delay is in the creation of the OBDs to these individual stores. Please let me know what settings determine this and also maybe the name of the program that creates these deliveries.
    2. Also for certain articles, when we run the t-code WF10 to create the collective purchase order, we get the "No documents found" message. Please assist.
    Thanks!
    Suhas

    Hi,
When you say GRN is posted, I assume you've confirmed it's actually posted?
How big a delay?  Is it just outputting the delivery, or is it calculating the distribution and creating it?
We found we had poor performance on Idoc processing (R/3 4.7) and this was due to merchandise distribution specific code, where by the memory wasn't being cleared during processing of large volumes of data.  An OSS note exists for this issue and was relatively easy to apply.  I'll try to find the number tomorrow.
On the issue you have on no documents found.  Check the STO delivery creation date on shipping data, if the procurement period you have selected in WF10 doesn't include this date, it will be excluded.
We had this issues a lot with poor data setup.  We now operate this in batch variant as FROM Today's date - 1 month TO today's date + 2 months.
Without more info it's difficult to advise, WF10 can be a tricky beast to use reliably.
Check out any other OSS notes, as we did apply a few to get working correctly.
Are you configured to use parallel processing in WF10?  If so is server group configured correctly?  Again another lesson learnt we had.
Hope some of that was of help.

  • Partial receipt of goods in Cross Docking in IS Retail

    Hi Experts,
I created a collective PO of 100 qunatities.
Now when I am trying to create MIGO (GR) for 90 quanities system is not allowing me to do that as i want to receive the goods partially.
Kindly help me with the reason for this and how to avoid this?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi
Please check the configuration for Site Profile in Merchandise distribution and the Adjustment profiles
Logistics - General>Merchandise Distribution>Site Profiles for Merchandise Distribution
Logistics - General>Merchandise Distribution>Adjustment Profiles per Processing Method
Check the assignment of the same in Article distribution profile and Site master.
System would not only allow the same but it would distribute it based in the Adjustmnet profile defined.
If still the error persists then please give the exact error message.

  • Stock Reduction functionality in IS Retail

    Hi Experts,
Can you help me in understanding Stock Reduction functionality in IS Retail, i havn't used it.
Rest i am clear with Merchandise Distribution & business process Pull & Push.
See Distribution data sits in FRET table once we create a collective PO or using Allocation table.
now depending on processing method one can do distribution processing.
when do we use Stock Reduction functionality.
In spro Difference b/w site profile for merchandise distribution & site  profile for distribution with stock reduction.
I hope you got what is my query.
    thanks

    Hi Mughil,
    Thanks for answering,
Site Profile for MD is assigne in site master from where it picks it while creation allocation table.
    but
how will & where will we assigne Site Profile for MD with Stock Reduction.as in config both are define as a distribution profile for site.
001 is default in both setting so how system will differenciate between two.

  • Collective Purchase Order

    Hi Folks,
I have a sales order in place where the delivery date for the article is say 31.12.2008.
    In the Article Master
    Pl deliv time =1 days
GR processing time = 1 days
    While creating Collective Purchase order,
Procurement period is entered as 30.12.2008 to 31.12.2008
    Schedule line interval  1 day
    When I exceuted, system throws the following message;
No documents was selected, application log generated.
Application log shows "Incorrect scheduling call, start date was not transferred correctly".
Pls help me to solve the above issue.
    Thanks

    Dear Kumar,
    For CPO:
Check Article Master RP parameters and selection of Articles at CPO
    For Merchandise Distribution:
    (a) We can use the merchandise distribution functions to control the flow of merchandise from the vendor to the recipient (store or Customer)
    (b) If the recipient of the articles is known at the time of procurement. You use either an allocation table (push method) or a collective purchase order (pull method) to plan distribution.
    (c) The merchandise is procured externally and flows through the distribution center. It can either be put away in the distribution center or moved through the distribution center using cross-docking or flow-through.
    (d) In the push method, merchandise distribution is planned using an allocation table. The procurement documents (vendor orders) and issue documents (warehouse orders or deliveries) are then generated as follow-on documents for the allocation table.
Flow through: The complete delivery for a single recipient is picked from all received Articles. Afterwards the next recipient is processed
Cross-Docking: The received units are already pre-packed for a specific recipient. They are just moved through the distribution area.
You have to carry out following tasks for Merchandise Distribution configuration:
    (a) RP Types
    (b) Planning Calendar (if required)
    (c) Site Profile for Merchandise Distribution
    (d) Adjustment profile per processing method
    (e) Distribution profile on Article in DC
    Article Master Data level
    (a) RP Parameters (mandatory)
    (b) Forecast Parameters (if required)
    (c) Distribution Profile (mandatory)
    Bye and all the best,
