Merge datasets in a select

Hello Everyone
I have the following situation:
We have a table that tracks all changes in the storage.
If someone moves an article from one storage to another there are to line inserted.
I want to merge the two line to one.
LFDLBNR from to
26088640     2     1052     10772          76     shop804     1     4004
26088640     1     1052     10772     78          shop804     1     4004
As you can see here in the movement with the number: 26088640, the article was moved from storage Nr. 78 to 76
I want to be able to create a view or do it just in the select merging the two rows into one like this:
26088640     1     1052     10772     78     76     shop804     1     4004

Hi,
As Nicolas said, a regular join should do what you want.
If the employee's name is on one row of the names table, and the boss's name is on another row, you'll need to use two copies of the names table (as if there was one names table just for employees and another names table just for bosses).
If you're joining n tables, you'll want at least n-1 conditions in the WHERE clause linking the tables. In this case, you have three tables, so you need two join conditions:
SELECT  e.name
,       b.name  AS bossname
FROM    table1  t
,       names   e   -- employees
,       names   b   -- bosses
WHERE   t.name     = e.nameid  -- Join Condition #1
AND     t.bossname = b.nameid  -- Join Condition #2
AND     t.dataid   = 12345;

I bought a movie on iTunes and when it loads up I can only play the bonus features and not the actual film. The title screen is also glitched and merges with the scene selection. I don't think it downloaded properly. what can I do?

It happens sometimes. Delete the current copies, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
While downloading click the download icon at the top right and uncheck Enable simultaneous downloads. You may find it more reliable that way.

  • Creating multiple datasets using mulitple select statements as part of one macro / stored procedure

    Hi,
I am working on a report what has 10 datasets derived from 10 different select statements.
Is it possilbe to save those 10 select statements as a macro / stored procedure and then use that macro to generate those dataset in the ssrs report builder ?
    AshishSinghal

    Hi AshishSinghal84,
According to your description, you want to write multiple select statements in a procedure, then use the procedure as dataset in the report, right?
According to my knowledge, when we write multiple select statements in a procedure, we have to create relationship between these select statements, otherwise it will only return the first one query's fields. If you are using SSRS 2008 R2, you can use Lookup
function to display these fields from different datasets on one data region control, but the prerequisite is that you must have one common field. For more information about lookup function, please see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210531.aspx
If all these solution you cannot achieve due to your special condition, the last workaround is to use subreport to display all the fields together.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

In the image I previously posted, in the upper left corner, you'll see an arrow pointing to the left. Tap that to get to your projects (as well as save any PS Touch projects you might have presently open in the editor). Here, you can manage, move, and export your projects to various formats and email, save to your device or post to Facebook or Creative Cloud.
They are, in order, from left to right: Creative Cloud, export options such as Save to Camera Roll (save to your device), Create new folder, Duplicate project, Delete project and images on Facebook.
For example, tap the export option (second button from the left), then tap "Share by e-mail," choose your desired file format (JPEG, PNG or PSD) and choose the image(s) you'd like to send. Tap OK and your email app should launch, attaching the images, ready for you to send in your email.
Note each option has different file formats supported. Sharing by e-mail, as noted before, lets you export as JPEG, PNG or PSD. Saving locally to your tablet only lets you save as JPEG or PNG. Uploading to Creative Cloud lets you export as JPEG, PNG, PSD and PSDX (which is readable via Photoshop CS's plug-in as a free download).

  • How can I select rows of cells and merge them vertically into one cell in each column?

I'm working in CS4 and need to be able to select 2 to 6 rows of cells (with many columns) in a table and then merge the selected cells vertically into one cell in each column. A few cells in the chart will not need to merge so I must select the ones that do. I have almost 100 pages of charts with cells that need merged this way by Tuesday. Please help!
Top chart example needs to change to the bottom example.

  • Merge statement - update multiple columns from a single sub-select

Is it possible to write in 10gR2, a MERGE statement, with UPDATE for multiple columns from a single sub_select?
    like this:
    MERGE INTO tableA
using ( select * from temp) tmp
    on( tableA. col1 = tmp.col1)
    when matched then
    update set  ( tableA.col5,
                       tableA.col6,
                       tableA.col7) = ( select sum(col2), sum(col3), sum(col5)
                                                                                 from tableX
                                                                                where tableX.col1 = tableA.col1...)

    Hi,
The USING clause is not a sub-query, so it can't reference columns from tables that are not in it.
Include tableA in the USING clause if you really need to refer to it there. (It's not obvious that you do.)
As always, it helps if you post:
    (1) The version of Oracle (and any other relevant software) you're using
    (2) A little sample data (just enough to show what the problem is) from all the relevant tables
    (3) The results you want from that data (In the case of a DML statement, such as MERGE, this will be the state of the tables when everything is finished.)
    (4) Your best attempt so far (formatted)
    (5) The full error message (if any), including line number
Executable SQL statements (like "CREATE TABLE AS ..." or "INSERT ..." statements) are best for (2).
If you can present your problem using commonly available tables (for example, tables in scott schema, or views in the data dictionary), then you can omit (2).
Formatted tabular output is okay for (3).

  • Merging two Queries in single crystal report lauout

    Hi All,
I need to show two reports from two different BEx queries in a single crystal report layout. The queries are independent of each onther and having their selection variables. I have implemented two subreports for two queries in a main report. Now the problem i am facing is, though both the queries are having same slection(Profit Centre and Fiscal Per/Year), they are getting repeated in crystal report parameter screen. I have to enter the values for selections for each report.
Is there any method to merge the selections for both reports if they are same, so that i can enter the selections only once?
    Thanks in Adv,
    Shubhramukta.

    Hi,
I have two queries in BEx having Selections. Query 1 is having selections (Profit centre and Fiscal Per/Yr) and query 2 is having same selections as well(i.e. Profit centre and Fiscal Per/Yr). I have created two reports corresponding to these queries have used as subreports in a main report using Crystal report 2008. When i run the main Crystal report, it automatically prompts for values to be entered, as variables are set at BEx query level.
Though both the reports are having same selection variables, crystal report asks to enter values two times , once for each report, and it is obvious.
    Parameters are Crystal parameters.
Is there any method to merge the parameters,is selection variables are same, so that it will ask only once?
    Thanks

  • ORA 900 error while executing MERGE statement

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle 11 Rg1.
I have a summarization process running daily where the process of execution is as follows:-
    1. Data loads every 10 min into a transaction table from external dat files
    2. I have a package with 13 stored procedures - each procedure has a MERGE logic to summarize data from the above table into a summarization table. Each procedure select data depending on the business requirement
    3. A wrapper file is invoked by a crontab daily to execute each procedue in the above package sequentially
    4. Each of the 13 procs is executed and data summarized daily into the summarization tables
From a few days, I have been getting a strange error - where 5 of the stored procs are failing with the error code and description as ORA 900 - invalid sql statement. The structure of all the 13 procs is the same. The only difference is in the MERGE logic WHERE clauses.
Due to some data loss occurence I introduced conditions the WHERE clause that take into account pl/sql variables.
I shall paste one procedure here and provide additional details as the discussion progress to avoid making this first post very lengthy.
This logic is failing with ORA 900 when invoked from the wrapper in unix as :-

    Hi Sven,
Unfortunately, requestdatetime is a varchar2 column. The source table which has this column had been created a long back and recently we have started to take care of this issue by loading data after converting it into date format.
We have managed to locate the place in the logic where the error is occuring, but not why it might be occuring. Its due to the logic:-
         AND (
              (lv_summm_type_indicator  = c_summaryType_fullLoad
              AND  (get_date_timestamp(os.requestdatetime) BETWEEN lv_sum_startdate AND lv_sum_enddate
              AND   os.entry_CreatedDate BETWEEN lv_partitioned_start_date AND lv_partitioned_end_date
              OR (lv_summm_type_indicator = c_summaryType_incrementLoad
              AND os.entry_createddate BETWEEN lv_sum_startdate AND lv_sum_enddate )
)When I hardcoded the values for lv_summm_type_indicator, c_summaryType_fullLoad and c_summaryType_incrementLoad, the logic worked fine:
         AND (
              ('INCR'  = 'FULL'
              AND  (get_date_timestamp(os.requestdatetime) BETWEEN lv_sum_startdate AND lv_sum_enddate
              AND   os.entry_CreatedDate BETWEEN lv_partitioned_start_date AND lv_partitioned_end_date
              OR ('INCR'  = 'INCR'
              AND os.entry_createddate BETWEEN lv_sum_startdate AND lv_sum_enddate )
)But, the data for the pl sql variables is coming properly as I used dbms_output statements to check. So not sure what exactly is happening.

  • Instead of trigger and merge

    Hi,
I have created view and instead of insert, delete, update triggers on it. It is working fine for insert, delete, update. However, the application uses lots of merge command. For merge command on the view, I get following error
ORA-01446: cannot select ROWID from, or sample, a view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc.
I dont have any rowid mentioned in merge command. Is there way how to make MERGE working over view with instead of triggers ?
    Thanks for advices.

my view is simple, it is "union all" operation over several tables without any other conditions, original tables are index organized with PK consisting of 4 columns

I am trying to create an HDR file from several large merged panoramas, and everything seems to go very well whichever options I select until the point comes when photoshop tries to create the final file. The individual layers of the HDR are 40188x6848 and saved as PSB files, when loaded they fill the entire 8Gb of memory in my machine.
I am using Windows Vista 64, my graphics card is unsupported and so turned off, I have photoshop setup to use 3 scratch disks, and it appears to be using around 40Gb on the first one and none on others.
Provide concise, step-by-step details on how to reproduce the issue you are seeing.
Select File > Automate > Merge to HDR Pro
Select the 5 HDR layer files, check attempt to automatically align layers
Make a cup of tea, you're in for a wait.
Set the EV levels of the files
Select any options you want from the next panel, I've tried most of them by now.
Sit back and wait for the following screen:
Provide a description of the "Expected Result":
Photoshop should have brought up a file containing the merged images, which I could then save to disk.
Provide your System Info from Photoshop:

If anyone wants the source images let me know and I'll upload them somewhere, though that process will take a couple of days because they're not small.

    Hi Martin,
Per my private message, the "uncaught JavaScript" exception is something we've seen and have yet to determine a cause or solution.
Would you please try the following.
    • Do you have following Preferences > Interface settings ON? If they're OFF, does it work if you turn them on?
       - Open Documents as Tabs
       - Enable Floating Document Window Docking
    • Does Merge to HDR work for you at all with smaller files (such as those in the sample set inside the application folder for CS5)?
    • Do other scripts work for you, specifically...
       - File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack... ?
       - File > Automate > Photomerge...?
    • Have you tried restarting with deleted preferences? http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-74aaa.h tml
The HDR screen image preview going black is a known issue related to low-system memory conditions that we have been working on a solution for.
In the meantime, the workaround would be to lower Photoshop's memory usage from your current (72%) down to as low as (50%).
Purging memory may help: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-748aa.h tml
What was the "entirely new error message"? And is the  Uncaught Exception  the "standard" message?

  • Error in merge query of the Proc.

    Hi all,
Below merge query working fine, if I execite independently. I am getting error as "ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement" when i paste this code inside the procedure. However, if I comment the lines written in bold, proc is working fine. Not sure why the comparison not happening even though code and data is correct. If i use like intead of IN then it is working fine.

  • Access 2013 crashes after mail merge in Word 2013

We have several Word templates that query an Access database to populate themselves. After the mail merge is complete, when we close Word then Access immediately crashes every time. This started after upgrading from Office 2003 to 2013. We tried updating
the Word Doc to 2013 but then it would not connect to the data source at all. Last, we also tried to Compact and Repair the database with no luck.
We searched for an Access Hot Fix but could not find anything that matches our issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Use a table or query as the data source
Open the source database, and in the Navigation Pane, select the table or query that you want use as the mail merge data source.
On the External Data tab, in the Export group, click
More , and then click Merge it with Microsoft Office Word .
The Microsoft Word Mail Merge Wizard starts.
Select whether you want to create the link in an existing document or in a new document, and then click
    OK.
If you chose to link to an existing document, in the Select Microsoft Word Document dialog box, locate and select the file, and then click
    Open.
Word starts. Depending on your choice, Word opens either the document you specified or a new document.
In the Mail Merge pane, under Select document type, click
Letters and then click Next: Starting document to continue to step 2.
In step 2, click Next: Select recipients.
In step 3, you create the link between the data source in Access and the Word document. Because you started the wizard from Access, this link is created automatically. Under
Select recipients, note that Use an existing list is selected, and the name of your data source is displayed under
    Use an existing list.
Click Edit recipient list if you want to customize the contents of the table or query.
You can filter, sort, and validate the data. Click OK to continue.
Click Next: Write your letter to continue. Follow the remaining instructions in the
Mail Merge pane, and in step 5, click Next: Complete the merge.
Other ways to use a table or query as the data source
You can specify a table or query as a data source in additional ways. For example, you can export the table or query from Access to an ODBC database, a Microsoft Office Excel 2013 file, a text file, or any other file format that is compatible with Word,
and then link to the resulting file by using the Word Mail Merge Wizard.
If you have not already exported the table or query , do so. In Access, in the Navigation Pane, select the table or query that you want to use, and on the
External Data tab, in the Export group, click the format you want to export to, and then follow the instructions.
In Word, if the Mail Merge pane is not displayed, on the
Mailings tab, in the Start Mail Merge group, click the arrow under
Start Mail Merge, and then click Step by Step Mail Merge Wizard. The
    Mail Merge pane appears.
In step 3 of the Mail Merge pane, under Use an existing list, click
    Browse or Edit recipient list.
In the Select Data Source dialog box, specify the data file that you created in Access, and then click
    Open.
Follow the instructions in any dialog boxes that follow. In the Mail Merge Recipients dialog box, review and customize the contents of the file. You can filter, sort, and validate the contents before you continue.
Click OK, and then click Next: Write your letter in the
Mail Merge pane. For more instructions on customizing your mail merge, see Word Help.

  • Photo Merge not working in CS4

I use Lightroom 2.3 on a MacBook Pro.  When I go to "edit in" and choose "merge to panorama in photoshop", photoshop opens and the "photomerge window" comes up.  I select auto merge for the 3 selected photos and click ok. Then, nothing happens.  No new file is created and no activity takes place. I used to do this from Lightroom to Photoshop CS3 and it worked fine.  Since installing Photoshop CS4, it does not work.
My Photoshop CS 4 performance settings are: memory 90% (or 2764 meg) and two scratch disks - the macintosh hd (89 g) and external drive (450 g). Open gl is not enabled.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Kennedda wrote:

That means you probably have 3GB of RAM installed.  A 90% memory allowance to Photoshopunder these circumstances is clearly excessive.  Try reducing it to 70% or less.
    Kennedda wrote:
and two scratch disks - the macintosh hd (89 g) and external drive (450 g).
Make sure the EXTERNAL drive is designated as the PRIMARY scratch disk drive.  You don't have much left on your boot volume; how large is it in total?  Once a drive, any drive, gets to be 70% or so full, you're courting trouble.

  • Automatic Parallelism causes Merge statement to take longer.

We have a problem in a new project as part of the ETL load into the Oracle datawarehouse we perform a merge statement to update rows in a global temporary table then load
the results into a permanant table, when testing with automatic parallel execution enabled the plan changes and the merge never finishes and consumes vast amounts of resources.
    The database version is:-
    Database version :11.2.0.3
    OS: redhat 64bit
three node rac 20 cores per node
when executing serially the query response is typically similar to the following:

I understand that the query is considered for parallel execution due to the estimated length of time it will run for and although the degree of parallleism seems excessive
it is the default maximum for the server configuration, what we are tryig to understand is which statistics could be inacurate or missing and could cause this kind of problem.
In this case we can add the no_parallel hint in the etl package as a workaround but would really liek to identify the root cause to avoid similar problems elsewhere.
