Messed up registration

i bought two iphones yesterday...one for my wife, one for me. i went to register her phone to her name and realized afterwards that i registered mine under her name. it's not that big of a deal, but i'd like to change it so mine is mine and hers is hers. is that doable? if so, how.

When you say registered, are you talking about apple or your carrier? If apple, & you are in the US, call them 800-275-2273.

  • Blew out Final Cut registration (legit); number won't work, how do I get reset

For the second time in the last year I have upgraded my MacPro (to a newer tower), I just physically transferred my internal drives to the new tower (in a not well thought out test) and seem to have blown out my app registration (legit); how do I get my registration reset. 2nd copy of license installed on my second system, an iMac (and it's working). You'd think I'd learn, I messed up registration on last system transfer/upgrade almost a year ago; and to be honest with you i can't remember 100% how i got it reset then... but believe it was through an online support chat or a phone call, but now i can't even find a number on the Apple site that seems like the proper one.

The serial number of a Pro App is mated to the logic board of your computer on install, not the drives - so when you move the drives, FCP sees that it is not on the same machine and asks to be re-blessed.
If you have your serial numbers, you should be able to re-enter them. If you are missing your serial numbers, here is a Knowledge Base article that may help you:

  • 'Creative Product Registration' mess

I have had my Zen V for a while?now but I've only just been able to register it. I turned on my computer today and a message keeps appearing on the screen:?Gentle reminder: Register you Creative products now to enjoy a hosst of benefits.?The things is I already have and this "Gentle reminder" will not leave the screen no matter how many times I try to close it, even shutting down and restarting doesn't work. It's really staring to annoy me. How can I get rid of it's?Thanks for any help.

Go to Start > Run and type this "msconfig.exe" without the quotes. Next go to the Startup tab. Look for the creative registration listing at uncheck it. If you're not sure which listing, post up all the listing you see and I can help to pinpoint it.

  • How can I file a complaint about an employee who has been messing with me on purpose (on trades)?

Hello. What's the best way to file a complaint against an employee who basically tried to ruin all game trades for me?
She just stands there in the customer service section doing nothing, she paces back and forth while customers are waiting, and she only takes calls to avoid talking to customers in person. She messes up trades on purpose.
I had a problem with a trade-in once with an awful supervisor and I called the Executive Resolution Team and the lady on the line just told me that they would call the store to hear the "other side" of the story. Honestly, I just told her what happened.
I went in there for a trade-in earlier that day and the woman taking my trade refused to enter my phone number for my bonus. She flat out refused it five or six times. It was insane. I explained to her how the system works and she called her supervisor. The supervisor acted like I was trying to steal the bonus even though I paid for the subscription. I politely explained to her how it works and I told her all the things that came with the subscription. I told her that all they need to do is input my number in the correct space and it should apply automatically.
She didn't believe me but she said that I could get a discount higher than what I asked to get as the bonus and I told her that it was actually lower because it was due to the base. She said it's fine and I said that I wasn't planning to buy anything that day. I just wanted to clear some space and get some credit in case there was a decent online sale later that week. She said that she could only give me a discount on something and I said, "Then can I get an Amazon card?" and she said something like "Go get it."
I came back with the card and she gives me a discount lower than what she said she would give me, but it's still a little bit higher than my bonus, so I let it go.
I went home and I had dinner and I got some more games ready and I went back to the store. A different lady was there and she got through most of my trade faster than the woman who kept refusing to enter my number for my bonus. She also couldn't get the bonus to work and she gave up on the first try so she calls a supervisor. I just wanted to sweep up all my games and run because I knew that she was calling the same supervisor, but I stood there because I didn't do anything wrong.
At this point, the woman who keeps giving me trouble in my recent trips there appears and like always, she's doing nothing. Anyway, let's just call this woman L. The supervisor is K. K walked back behind the counter and she says something like, "You again? No. You're not doing this again." I say, "Doing what?" I feel insulted but I tell her that all they need to do is enter my number in the correct place for Gamer's Club Unlocked. L heard this but she just turned around like she didn't hear anything and she's busy. She did this because she's the one who got the registration card for Gamer's Club Unlocked for me. Back when she did that, she mentioned that she was from the Gaming Department. She knew that I was right but she let the supervisor get aggressive with me.
K kept threatening to cancel my trade. I kept trying to reason with her. All she needed to do was her job. I told her how to figure it out. She kept repeating, "I will cancel it." I said, "cancel it." She canceled it and she had this egomaniac look on her face like, "I won."
I take my games and I look back and L is pacing back and forth like a beheaded chicken.
Anyway, for the Titanfall promo, I go into the store and I want to trade two copies of Call of Duty Ghosts and a copy of Thief. I got a copy of Ghosts from a friend who was busier than me. I was very busy those few days, so I went on the last day after classes. I have evening classes, so I got there near closing time. L rejected one of my copies of Ghosts and I asked her why and she said it was store policy even though it's not. She just cost me $11 or something because of the non-promo and promo difference.
She insisted on doing the Thief and Ghosts trades separatetly for no reason even though I insisted that she do them together so she will only need to enter GCU once and I only need to sign twice and I get one gift card. She's just acting like a jerk, so I said, "whatever". She asked me for my number for the GCU bonus after I tell her about it. It's input and it's in the right place. It was done on the first try. She finished the Ghosts trade and I signed everything but she wouldn't give me my gift card. She started the second trade and she asked me for my number and she input it. I signed the pad and as I'm signing the paper that should be correct because she asked me for my number, I notice that my bonus is missing and I strike out the signature. I told her and she already knew. She was just shocked that I struck out the signature. She said that there was no prompt for it. She obviously lied. She asked me for my number and she input it. I told her, "You should have said something." She just took a relaxed pose and she told me that it's already tendered so she can't undo it. I told her that it's not final until I sign the final paper. I knew that I was pushing my luck because it was the last day and it was near closing time, but I kept telling her that she could fix it.
She just wanted me to cave at that point, so she says that she will go ask a supervisor about it and she just walked into a room and she walked out in a few seconds saying the same thing. She just pretended to ask about it. She said that I can call the customer service line and get the bonus added. I signed it and she gave me the two cards. Oh, and when she left to "ask a supervisor", she took the card that was already legally mine with her. I had two cards, so I wanted to combine them. I took them to the register with a minute or two to spare and it turned out that they could not be combined because they were store credit cards and not gift cards, like it states on the website.
So I want to file a complaint against her now and I want to get the bonus she took from me. What's the best way to do that?

    Hello r555,
Thank you for being a My Best Buy member, and thank you for visiting our forum.  I am very sorry to hear that it has not always been easy for you to receive your Gamers Club Unlocked bonus when trading in games.  I'll be happy to talk to you about your experience.
I get the impression you are quite familiar with the trade-in process and how the bonus is applied, and it is disappointing to hear that a store associate wouldn't attempt to complete that process.  I will be sending you a private message so we can get some more specific information regarding which store you were at as well as the trade in question where you did not receive the bonus.  Please watch for a message from me shortly.
    Sincerely,

  • Installed LasrJet P1102w Registration and creation of eprint account I type the wrong email address

I have just completed installing my HP LasrJet P1102w and when the installation was complete it printed a Test Page. However, during the registration of the product I messed up on the Email address account to include eprint account. Now I cannot do an eprint on my new HP LaserJet P1102w nor can I Log In to my account to change the screw up. Need help. Thank you. If there is a Tel Phone # that I can call it would be appreciated. again thanks.

    Hi WBL49,
Thank you for being a member of the HP Support Forums.  I see that you setup the ePrint feature of your Laserjet P1102W printer in an account with an email address that you don’t have access to. No worries WBL49,  if you don’t remember the email address that you accidentally used there are two options available.
The first one is to disable the web services of the printer and then re-enable the web services.  This will allow you to go through the ePrint setup process again allowing you to create your account with the email address you wish to use.  I’ve included the Remove ePrint and HP Printables in HP Connected document.  Please follow the steps in the Remove ePrint section for Laserjet printers.  Once you have completed that step, please follow the steps in Getting the Printer Claim Code to get a new web services information sheet with the claim code.  Once you have the claim code, please follow the steps in Setting Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint to reclaim the printer.  If you had created a customized ePrint email address earlier, please be aware that ePrint email address is no longer available and you will need to create a new ePrint email address for the printer.
The second option is to call HP.  Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • ISE 1.2: Employee with personal device registration

    Hi experts,
I'm aware of this discussion https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11962026/ise-12-device-registration-mab-only-no-client-provisioning#comment-9371166
but looking for a detailed configuration to get following to work:
Employee's have access to the network with their corporate devices. No problem
Now employees need to be able to use their own mobile devices to get access. There is no definition of what devices are allowed.
II guess to let employees register their private devices with  MAC address on MyDevice portal would be the most sufficient solution.
Does anyone have a detailed configuration or link how to achieve that?
    Thanks,
    Frank

Having BYOD access be based on mac address only is not really ideal and also not secure. A mac address can easily be spoofed and consequently your security policy can be bypassed. If you have a PKI environment you can take the EAP-TLS with SCEP approach:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine-software/116068-configure-product-00.html
If you don't have a PKI environment and don't want to mess with certificates you can still use a more secure method than MAC addresses. For instance, you can perform PEAP user authentication. You can create a "special" BYOD AD group and place the authorized users there. Then they can use their AD credentials to authenticate. In the authorization policy you can limit the access for those type of authentications via dACLs (switches) or named access lists (WLCs)
    Hope this helps!

  • Adding crop marks and registration Urrrrrrrr.... CS3 Mac

    Hi,
I think I have been working longer on trying to add crop marks and bleed to a business card then actually designing the artwork. Adobe really pisses me off with these PDF, Illustrator nonsense. Why is it SO complicated to add crop mark and registration marks to send to a printer?
When I add a "Crop Area" in AI why it's not included when I export to PDF press quality? why do I need to start going through the crazy Acrobat Advanced menu? add printer marks... resize the page using the Crop Pages option... and then loosing my bleed background.
Is there a simple way to do this?
    Thanks
    Mic

Hi guys, you're really going about the whole thing wrong...as a prepress person I need to impose your designs to get best efficiency on the press. I will proably delete all your marks anyway and add my own.....however, my imposition programs use the HIDDEN crop, trim and bleed boxes in your artwork. If you make a huge page in illustrator and plonk your art somewhere arbitrarily in the centre I have to mess arounf for a few minutes to try to work out where your boxes lie. I am pretty careful, but I cannot guarantee other operators out there so you will probably start at the press with an error tolerance before you even start printing.
The correct way to use the adobe programs is to define the FINISHED size (for business cards we generalise at 90x55mm). Then in the setup section you define your bleeds and slugs. Design your cards on that artboard (and add as many artboards as you want). Then when you are finished EXPORT to PDF (and make yourself a saved preference for this to make it a 1 step process) using the marks options in the side panel. Your new PDF file is perfect finished art for your printer and we can impose to our hearts' delight knowing the correct boxes are in the meta data and our programs will be 100% accurate.
Now some of our clients need to show multiple cards up on a sheet to their clients so do not like this...but there is a trick. All you need to do is pull out an artboard around all your smaller cards. Take note of what artboard number this one is. Then all you do is export to pdf and only put that number into the Pages to be exported dialog (and put the other pages into the  finished art file being sent to your printer). The one going to your client can have manual trim artwork added but clients don't need rego or colour marks so don't worry.
Everyone happy and really easy to do as this is how the program was built to be used
    Good luck

  • If I restore and update my old iPhone, will it mess up my iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 3G running 2.2.1 but still use my deactivated first generation iPhone more or less as an iPod Touch. If I update the software on the old phone to the 2.2.1 will it mess up the AT&T registration for my 3G phone during the setup process? Possibly activate the old phone and deactivate the 3G phone? Thanks everyone.

Your old iPhone will not affect your iPhone 3G. This article will help you set up the old iPhone.

  • Flash Pro cs5.5, MySQL, login and registration form

    Hi.
I just started to use Adobe Flash CS5.5 and i want to make my new homepage based on flash. Only problem at the moment is that i don't know how to make flash login and registration form what takes data from MySQL. I am messed with this about 3 days but without any results(form is done, but don't know how to make it communicate with MySQL).
    Sorry for my bad english.
    Can anybody please help me?
    Thanks in advance for helping.

You should really start by some literature if you can't even draw a form. I don't mean to be cruel but otherwise you'll never learn flash. If you like the technology, start from the start like everybody else. If you'll have some questions, or will be confused about something you learned, I'll be happy to explain it to you. But don't expect people to program your app for you - this is not learning.
You can start with adobe tv: http://tv.adobe.com/search/?q=flash&product=17&topic=0&version=10&sortby=relevancy
    Great page with tutorials: http://gotoandlearn.com/

  • Photoshop CS3 Repeat Registration under XP

I just upgraded to CS3 on Windows XP and every few days I am prompted to register. I registered twice and then spoke with Customer Service who could not see the registration so they manually registered me. Since then the registration screen appeared again and I registered a third time.
I just spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone going back and forth between Adobe Customer Service and Photoshop support. Customer Support wants me to return CS3 and buy it again under a different customer number. Support wants me to uninstall all Adobe products, delete the registry branch under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe, delete all Adobe content under "Program Files" and under "Documents and Settings", create a new user account, add that new user to the Administrators group, then reinstall all Adobe products using that new user account.
I asked support where Photoshop CS3 records the registration information and was told that since CS3 is a new product, they do not have that level of technical information.
Has anyone else had a registration problem with CS3 on XP?
Does anyone know where the registration information is stored? If it is stored in the registry, I should be able to manually enter the keys and data.

Under Vista, you need to mess with UAC. My OS is XP Pro SP2 (32-bit).
I could not find a CS3 registration entry in the registry. Tech support states they have no documentation on how CS3 records the registration and (if this is true, it is pathetic) do not have access to engineering (software developers) to ask them.
Multiple registration attempts did not stop the application from asking me to register every few days, so on Feb 19th I selected never register. As of this morning, PS has not again asked me to register. If that remains the case for a week, then the issue is solved. After the first two registration attempts failed, I had Customer Service manually register the product.

  • User registration and editing posts

    Hi everyone,
I have a site that people can register on and post there information.
I am using php and mysql.
I want people to be able to EDIT their information they posted but ONLY their information, noone elses.
the user registration works great and they are able to add their information.
Basically this is for a car club site, and car clubs can register and post their city state, chapter, and web address etc.
but alot of the people are messing up when they try to post their info and I am not sure how to give the poster the ability to edit their OWN information, if someone could help me out with this or point me in the right direction that would be great!
    Thanks

  • Applecare online registration failure

I have been trying to register my Applecare Protection Plan online and cannot complete the process. I am asked to 'select agreement type' from a pulldown menu that contains no options! I have wasted enough time messing with what is supposed to be a quick procedure and would rather not have to spend any time on the phone looking for answers. How important is it to register Applecare? Frustrating bugs in the registration process is just plain lame.

I wish AppleCare would hire a technical editor and make the Proof of Coverage letter coming with the TechTools Deluxe disk easier to understand. After reading this thread I found the following FAQ, at http://www.apple.com/support/products/faqs.html, which clarifies my same question: how and where and if about registering the AppleCare Protection Plan. Apparently one does not have to register if purchasing the plan with the computer. But it doesn't say so anywhere in the letter. (On the other hand it does not say that one has to register either...)
    --- FAQ -----
Q: When I purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan, do I need to register it?
If you purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan at the same time as your Mac, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, or Apple display from the online Apple Store, Apple will register the AppleCare Protection Plan for you. If you purchase your AppleCare Protection Plan and your covered product separately or elsewhere, you will need to register your AppleCare Protection Plan.
Your AppleCare Protection Plan coverage starts from your hardware purchase date. Registering your AppleCare Protection Plan at a later date does not extend your coverage. In fact, there are many benefits to registering your AppleCare Protection Plan as soon as you purchase it.
For example, after you register, Apple will have your hardware, AppleCare Protection Plan, and personal contact information on file. When you contact Apple for service or support, Apple can access your information right away and start addressing your issue, rather than spending time verifying your eligibility.
How do I register my AppleCare Protection Plan?
If you purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan at the same time as your Mac, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, or Apple display from the online Apple Store, Apple will register the AppleCare Protection Plan for you. If you purchase your AppleCare Protection Plan and your covered product separately or elsewhere, you can register your AppleCare Protection Plan at www.apple.com/support/register or contact Apple at the phone number included in your AppleCare Protection Plan package. Easy-to-follow instructions are also included with your AppleCare Protection Plan package.

  • My ichat is messed up! PLEASE HELP!

My ichat is messed up. I go to preferences, i make a new account, i try to login, and it keeps asking me for my AOL password! and everything i type in is wrong... HELP!

    Hi,
So is this a AIM (Or Valid  AIM) name you are adding ?
Lets say you are adding an @mac.com or @me.com name from Apple which are valid AIM Screen Names as well as Apple IDs
On both the iCloud and the @mac.com registration pages, Apple encourages you to have longer (more secure) passwords.
However what each page does not tell you is that for working in iChat with the AIM service the password cannot exceed 16 characters (AIM Server limit)
If this is the case then shorten the password.
    Start here and Manage Account.
If it is an AIM Name ([email protected]) as you register it then don't add the suffix part in iChat (AIM actuall strip the @AIM.com part)
If it is not this you will have to be more specific without revealing the Screen Name directly.

  • Will CS3 mess up a Pro 1.0 project?

I just got the CS3 Production Premium bundle, but I've got a project going in Premiere Pro 1.0. No fancy effects or anything have been applied to it, just straight cuts. I remember having a complex project years ago on Premiere 6.0 or something, and when I upgraded to Pro 1.0, I had to modify a lot of my editing (mostly because Pro 1.0 took away the A and B video tracks).
Anyway, simple question. I really wanna install CS3, but is that likely to mess up this current Premiere Pro 1.0 project?

Kind'a half way on/off topic for this...
I bought ProCS3 as an upgrade to Pro2, but then installed ONLY Encore3
When I went back to use Pro2, it had been DEactivated, and wouldn't let me REactivate
I wound up having to call the 866 number on the telephone activation screen and, after trying twice and it wouldn't accept the number, the system passed me along to a real human
Once I explained what had happened, and she looked me up in the registration database, she was able to give me an activation number for Pro2 which, so far after opening/closing the program a half dozen times, seems to be working
Now that everything seems to be working right, I'm going to make an
    Image
as a full drive restore point
Sigh... do one thing, something else goes "flooey" and needs fixing

  • Can't get started!  Can I skip the Product Registration process?

I just bought a 12" G4 Powerbook. I think the previous owner did a fresh install of Mac OS version 10.3.3. When I turn it on, it goes to a "OS X Panther, getting started" menu, and it wants me to enter my Country, then U.S. keyboard settings, then a page where I'm supposed to enter my name & address & phone number ...
It says this info is used to "personalize my settings" (i can do that myself)
"store my contact information in the Mac OS X Address Book" (i don't want my info in the address book, and if i did i can do that myself)
and also "to register your product."
I don't want it registered. I want to skip this procedure and just get to the operating system so I can work with this computer for a few days and make sure everything is working properly. But I can't get past this - it comes up every time I start the computer.
I found this quote in some of the paperwork I have, "Your warranty is the same whether or not you register." (yeah the computer's old, the warranty doesn't apply.) So there must be a way to not register. Right?
Can anyone tell me how to get around this??

    You could supply a generic user name and equally nothing address;
I've done that with a computer so it would have an Admin account
without any real personal information in the computer at that point.
Then, later on, you could set up a daily user account with lesser
permissions that could be deleted. Have the second account be
the primary one to appear on startup. At that point, you have a
basic secure system set up without hardly trying.
No concern about registration, the computer had probably been
registered and the item and OS is now vintage or near obsolete.
I don't recall if the second or third re-install of some OS X I'd
put back in a computer I'd wiped the contents from, actually even
went to Apple; since I didn't have internet set-up & it was offline.
You can also change the value of the additional account added,
later, from Standard, to Admin, and so on. Or to few permissions
such as one would want if the computer were left with a child.
There are many things one can do, even in that version OS X.
By isolating the Admin account from automatic login on startup,
any chance encounter with someone messing around would be
limited to only whatever a lesser daily account had to offer; and
for that one, you could initiate other secure preferences such as
login options and other basics that do not compromise your use.
The computer by default will start in the Admin account unless a
few other steps are taken to complicate things for unwanted guest
visitors who may happen across the computer & cause mischief.
(I'd avoid setting up main FileVault; but an item such as require
password to wake computer, or access from screensaver, etc
could be handy in a few instances; among other options.)
By personalizing simplistically such as "iBook User" with a fake street
and mailing address, such as 123 Anystreet, Anytown USA 00000,
you can then choose to join your own internet or network at a later
time, even your wireless, & it should just work (plus WPA password)
by choosing your setup options carefully. The other accounts could
be given Admin status also, or less.
Be sure to check up on getting the last supported Flash and Shockwave
    players (and their uninstallers to be rid of the older versions) from Adobe;
and see about getting Mozilla-Camino 1.6.10 browser; plus other last
version updates to the OS, such as the final Combo update, quicktime,
java, and other items needed to carry the initial installation, complete.
    Anyway...
    Good luck & happy computing!
