MetaData frameworks in Forte

Question

Dear Forte users,
Has anyone written meta-data framework(s) to make use
of
Forte's dynamic loading capabilities? I am talking
about
dynamically loading libraries, searching for classtypes
etc.
I am planning to write one such framework for a
highly responsive and dynamic application. The
application has a large number of business objects,
and the runtime semantics should be able to optimally
"give birth to" and "kill" the actors. Needless to say
I don't want to load all of them and then statically
bind to required object(s). Also, some of these
fly-by objects are going to be singletons which
live longer than the rest of the participants.
If any of you have attempted( and succeeded )
in writing such a framework, I would like
to hear about the suggestions, caveats, pitfalls
and trails to avoid.

Ajith,
I have seen some CASE tools that do round tripping by
giving you a Fort&eacute; project to import and some logger flags to set.
The logger flags allow the code to use Fort&eacute; internal variables.
This code can then read the meta-data direct from the Fort&eacute;
repository.
The CASE tool generally writes it out to a CDF file which you then
import
into your diagrams.
If you are using a CASE tool it might be worth checking this out.

Forte doesn't provide class level information at runtime. The only
information you can get is the current classname, no method or attribute
name. Maybe in the next version such methods are available like in (or with)
Java.
To get hold of the needed meta information I wrote a special editor for
designing the classes or the class information. Store the information in a
database and load them at startup into memory.
Maybe this idea helps ..
