MICN Planned Count Date

We are having issues with the planned count date in MICN. We have the float & interval set as 4 days in the configuration.
we have posted a physical inventory document on 04/09 and when i try to create a new inventory document for 04/16 in MICN, system is changing the date to 04/18. I am not sure why it is jumping 2 days ahead. Did anyone face similar issue?
Please let me know.

Figured it out. Its because of the factory calendar setting.Saturday/Sunday was set as non-working days,so when we put the Saturday as planned count date, system was taking the next working day which is Monday.

  • Inventory: Movement after count with post date before the count date.

    Hi,
We have stock movements all the days of the week.
We conduct physical inventories on Sunday mornings. There are not stock movements on Sunday mornings (stock movements on Sunday starts at night).
Usually we create the SAP Physical Inventory Document on Fridays, assigning Saturday as the Planned Count Date.
We enter the SAP Physical Inventory Count on Sunday (at the end of the count) or on Monday.
How you recommend us to use SAPu2019s Physical Inventory feature in order to calculate the Book Inventory considering all stock movements with posting date less than or equal to Saturday?
Please, suggest us a solution that If we register a movement after we enter the count but with post date before the count date (and the count is not posted yet), the Book inventory is modified accordingly.
Thanks in advance for your support!!

SAP takes the book inventory in the moment you enter the count.
Best you set  block movements , this block will be removed automatically when you enter the count. So you can prevent users from posting until you have entered the count.
If you set the freeze book inventory, then SAP takes the book inventory in the moment you create the document.
This is not a good way if you still have movements after inventory document creation and actual count.
You have to make sure - organisational  wise, outside SAP - that all movements that happened before inventory count  are posted before you start entering the count. There is nothing in SAP that can help you in this case.

  • Maint Plan counter offset

We need to have a filter change done the first time at 1000hrs, and then every 3000hrs. We have different maintenance plans that this will occur. They are both on the same counter (1835), along with other maintenance plans. How do we make this happen without affecting the other maintenance plans on the counter? Can we use the "Offset/Unit" or "StartCounterReading"? It looks like using the "StartCounterReading" will affect all the plans.
The plan is built for 3000 hours, if we put a 1000 hour offset in, will it always trigger at 1000 hours if we don't remove the offset after the first  trigger?? Or will it only trigger the offset number once?
    Thanks...

    Greetings Linda,
it's actually quite simple once you set the right values:
Your plan would best be scheduled with a Maintenance Package Offeset of 1000 h in IP02. This will ensure the first package falls on the 1000th hour, and subsequent packages will fall according to the cycle you set e.g 3000 h - the above applies to a Single Cycle plan.
If it's a Strategy-based plan, you need to input the Offset in the Maintenance Strategy (IP11). You mentioned you have other Plans - make sure that they are not distorted, create a copy of your Strategy with appropriate Offsets if necessary.
The offset only triggers the maintenance package once, then it is scheduled according to the regular cycle.
As for the Start Counter Reading, just set it to current counter reading (default), I assume it's 0 unless you've already got counter data input/migrated. N.B. Contrary to your assumption, the Start Counter Reading only affects one Maintenance Plan it is set for, meaning from which reading does the scheduling begin at all. (i.e. if you gave a Cycle of 3000 h, Start Counter reading of 1000 h and an Offset of 1000 h, the first package will fall on the 2000th hour, then subsequently 5000 h, 8000 h....etc.)

  • Planning area data not updated in infocube in APO system

    Hi all,
User is uploading a flat file using addon program to an infocube 1, from this infocube data for  sales forecast KF is getting transferred to a planning area KF using standard program RTS_INPUT_CUBE.  I can see the updated data in Planning book (which refer the same planning area) data views. In planning book the sales forecast data is also getting copyied to second KF 'Arrangement FC' and its correct.
Now there is a infocube 2 (second) which is getting data directly from this planning area (infocube also contains both KFs). But When i checked this infocube 2 , the updated data is availabe in Sales forecast KF , but arrangement forecast KF is having old data only and user is running query on second KF , so he is getting wrong report.
Since there is no data flow for this infocube 2, and it is getting data from planning area, I feel its remote infocube.
I have also found the datasource for this planning area but don't know how to move further to find why data is not updating properly? Please help on this.
I have information that 2 weeks before data was properly updated, but this time data is not updated,
system version  is SAP SCM 4.0

    Hi Vivek
it is advisable to run the background jobs when the planning books are not being accesses by the users to prevent such inconsistencis. Hence i would advise you to run the jobs durng non-working hours. and if you have a global system, then you may restrict to run the jobs based on regional levels.
in addition, it is also a good practice to run consistency jobs before and after your have completed the background jobs. i hope you are using process chains to execute the sequeuce of jobs. if yes, then you can add consistency check jobs in the process chains.
some of the consistency check reports are :
    /SAPAPO/OM17 - liveCache Consistency Check
/SAPAPO/TSCONS - Consistency Check for Time Series Network
    /SAPAPO/CONSCHK - Model Consistency Check
    and so and so forth..
you can find these conssistency jobs under APO Adiminstration --> Consistency checks in APO.
let me know if this helps.

  • How to trace planned order data after it has been converted into production

    Hi, There,
The planned order has been converted into production order.
However, I need to trace if this planned order is generated by MRP
run or created manually. I can't get any planned order info from
    table PLAF. Any input?
    Regards,
    Nancy

    Hi,
Once fully converted, the Planned Order data will not be available in the Table : PLAF.
If it is available, then You can have the details with the Time Stamp and User data from PLAF.
But, the refrence will be available in the Production Order.
You want to make a Track of the Planned Order details and the Quanity, then you need to have/create Z tables so that the data will be availabe.
This is how most of the Organizations keep a track of the Planned order data.
    Hope this helps..

  • Planned delivery date

    I have following scenario.
    Vendor Price terms is Exworks.
we have planned delivery time in material Master MRP view as Vendor manufacturing time. We may use Air or Ocean for Transit. I want delivery date in PO based on mode of trnasit.
    Example
for a Material, vendor lead time for Manufacture is 30 days.
transit time for Air is 3 days and 30 days for Ocean
I want exact plannned delivery date in PO after considering the mode of despatch. I have set 30 days in Material master Planned delivery date.
How to get exact planned delivery time in PO to receive material at our ware house based on mode of transit in ECC.
    Thanks
    Madhavan

    Hi Jurgen
I am exatly looking for the same. Is there any way we can proivide transit dates based on transit mode in ECC and transit mode in PO so that the Planned delivery date in PO is calculated exactly based on mode of transport ? I am looking for something similar to Route determination in SD.

  • Confirmed date in sales order influenced by planned order dates

    Hi,
My requirement is that the after the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated, the changes in the dates of the planned order, when carried out, shall accordingly influence the confirmed date of the sales order line item when the availability check is carried out in the sales order.
Say, the sales order has confirmed a line item for 25.05.2009. Once the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated and owing to unavailablility of a component, the planned order date (finish date) is manually re-scheduled to say 28.05.2009. My requirement is that the sales order confirmed date shall accordingly be re-scheduled when the availability check is carried out.
    Additional Info : Strategy Group - 20,
                           Make-to Order scenario is employed,
                           Standard Item category TAN,
                           Requirement Class - 040.
Is this possible in standard SAP? If not, please suggest any custom developments that may be required. Looking forward for helpful replies.
Do revert back if more info required.
    Regards,
    Anil Kumar

    Hi Anil,
As Suggested in Above reply to your question.
If Materail component was not available and due to that you had to reshedule the planned order date manually, that definately will affect the material availability date, but i think if material availability will be run once again in Sales Order it will determine the new material availability date, and i dont think there is any need to carry out any enhancement.
Guru's Please correct me if I am wrong.
    regards,
    Paresh

  • Uploading planning book data error

    Hi Emmanuel,
I think you can help me with this qn.
When i am trying to upload the planning book data after using the save locally function, i am not able to load the data back to the planning book. I am getting a dump.
I am not able to resolve it. can u please guide me.
Thank you very much in advance

    Hi Sandeep,
When you saved the file using the "Save locally" functionality in the Interactive Planning transaction, did you choose the option "Prepare file for upload at a later time" ? You have to choose that option so that an upload later will work.
Also, please check out OSS note Note "925933 - Interactive Planning Excel up/download corrections".
Please tell me if this helps to solve your problem

  • Error in Planned GI Date when delivery created from APO TP/VS

    Hi All,
The problem being faced here is that the Planned GI date & Planned pick up date in delivery is changing to the date on which the shipment ends, when generated through 'OLTP Generation of Deliveries'.
I will explain the problem more in details
I created the Sales order for a customer today i.e. on 21/11/07. The system calculated the MAD & RDD correctly in Sales Order. Shipment formed against this Sales order in TP/VS. TP/VS suggested correct shipment activities such as Goods Issue, Loading & Shipment end considering transit Time of 24 Hrs. I then
generated deliveries through 'OLTP Generation of Deliveries' & delivery also got created successfully in R/3. However the Planned GI date in the delivery is shifted by one day & falling on next day i.e. on 22/11/07 (the date on which the shipment is completing). Also the material availability date also gets shifted accordingly.
This is not matching with TP/VS results where the Goods Issue as per TP/VS is 21/11/07. Hence the Planned GI date in delivery should be 21/11/07 & not 22/11/07.
I have checked the Time Zone consistency in APO & R/3 & both match with each other.
For your information the system used are SCM 4.1 SP10 & ECC 5.0
Can any one suggest how to resolve this issue ?
    Thanks
    V Vasudevan

I hope by this time you must have resolve this issue or your query. If possible, Please share your observations

  • Servo motor encoder pulses/counter data erroneous

First off, I am very new to using labview.  I am trying to complete a project a former employee was working on.
For a quick background on what I am working with, I am using a NI DAQCard-6036E connected to a SC-2345.  The SC-2345 is then connected to a load sensor, Omron R88D servo driver, and an omron servo motor.  The servo motor has a incremental encoder with a resolution of around 2048 pulses per revolution.  My labview program includes a counter that records the data from the encoder on the servo motor.  I have been able to get accurate data when testing through the measurement and automation program by manually turning the motor.  Also when running through the specific DAQ assistant I am using for my counter, I am getting correct readings when manually turning motor.  Once I run my complete program, instead of getting 2048 pulses per revolution, I am getting between 34000-36000 pulses per revolution.  The most logical assumption is that I am getting vibration in the motor itself or some sort of noise is interfering with my signal.  I first attempted to change any possible settings through the omron servo driver that might reduce any vibration in the motor.  I attempting changing the rigidity settings, turning on and off the auto-tuning function, and a few other settings specified by the user manual that might cause vibration.  If I turn the rigidity settings as low as possible, I am able to get around 2000 pulses per revolution, but the data is very sporadic. Also, my equipment needs to be very rigid, and with the lowest rigidity setting for the servo driver, I am able to almost stop the motor with minimal force.  My equipment needs to be able to travel at a near constant speed with fluctuations of up to 200 N of force.  Any suggestions on which direction I should go in finding a countermeasure?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The model number of the servo motor is R88M-W10030L.  The servo motor rotates at a constant speed.  The program is designed to drive the servo motor connected to a ball screw in one direction.  Once the load sensor reaches a desired load, it will reverse at a constant speed until no load is on the sensor. Throughout, it records load vs. displacement.   I have found a few things that will alter the pulses counts.  If you apply resistive pressure on the servo motor while it is rotating, the pulse output will vary.  Also when you apply pressure to the casing of the servo motor itself, the pulses will often jump around. I was almost certain my false pulses were caused by vibration.  After have no success adjusting settings to reduce vibration(according to the user manual), I ran the program while moving around several wires to see if any were loose, etc... After applying force to the power lines and encoder cable, the program ran several times with an average of 2000 pulses per revolution and would actually subract pulses while going in reverse(what I want it to do); Although the average was around 2000 pulses per revoltion, i saw positive and negative jumps in pulse counts while traveling forward at constant speed.  Today I re-wired the equipment, seperating as many wires as possible.  After the re-wire, the equipment/program is back to sending 34000+ pulses per revolution, and does not subract pulses while reversing.  I have read the 'Using Quadrature Encoders with E Series DAQ Boards' article.  Referring to the article, I am running similar to "method 1".  I am already using a signal conditioning box, but have the counter data run directly through. Do you believe running the signals through a SCC-CTR01 might solve the problems?

  • Long time for loading Planning books/data views

    Hi
Could someone throw some pointers/solutions for extremely horrible time taken for a planning view (data view) to load and populate for certains selection profiles that already have large number of trasactional records. In my case it is specifically the run time dumps thrown for a popular combination (large number of transactions).
Urgent suggestions/solutions required. Pls. call 9923170825. India, if you are lazy enough to type it out. or just type in some key words, tcodes etc.
    Thanks

I hope you dont have too many macros hogging the memory in interactive book. The other thing is to be on the latest LC build. Also try to have default unit of measures (keep the dataview settings for UoM blank).
Can you confirm if you build the TLB view brand new in 5.0 or did you do some migration of the books ? The first time opening of book takes longer due to some compilation of certain objects. in SM50, try to identify where the process takes longest - whether it is at client end, at the DB procedure of LC or at application level.

  • Table for cost center plan/actual data

    Hello gurus,
What are the tables to get for cost center wise plan/ actual data? The data which was entered through KP06 was sitting in whcih table?
    regds
    ramachandra

    Hello Ramachandra,
Actual and Plan Data can be found in COVP view.
    1) For Actuals, you should use the values 04 and 11 to the field WRTTP;
    2) For Plans, you should use the values 01 and 10 to the field WRTTP.
If you need to get the totals, you should use tables COSP and COSS.
    Hope this help you.
    Cheers,
    Daniel.
