Hello everyone
iam facing a problem with my nokia phone the thing is that yesterday i was messing around on the internet i found a software update for my Nokia E61i so i decide to update my phone, everything worked just fine and new software is working excellent but the problem is that it is asking me now for the Memory card password i don't remember it use to have a pass
is their a default password for the memory or kiss my Data goodbye ?
There is no default code on memory cards.
So it will never ask you for one unless it has been set.
I've seen this hundreds of times and the answer is ALWAYS the same.
After a firmware update this happens because it deletes a file stored on the phone that remembers the password that was once set to the MMC so the phone asks for it again.
Good news is, you have unlimited attempts at entering a code on a MMC, bad news is, it could be a combination of numbers and/or letters

Nokia 6500 Slide Micro SD Password Problems
Was having problems with my Nokia 6500 slide so brought it into my nearest repair store and the upgraded the software (so they told me). As you know I lost all my settings and anything in the phones memory but I had taken out my microsd card before this and when I put it back in it was asking for a 'password' which I never had in the first place!!!
Now all my memorable pics and videos seem to be gone forever unless I can open it.
Tried passwords like - 1234,12345,.adgj,00000,5555,9999,password,5y5tem,nokia,memcard etc.
I also tried to open it on my laptop which it kept flashing on and off so couldnt open it!!!
Any suggestions would be very helpfuloh , its been a while , I'd like to thank you all for replying to my query above , ive already got the phone ... no problems of resetting ringtones/themes so far.. unless ofcourse yes you remove the backcover and your tones/themes were stored on the mc , mine are on the ph.memory.
overall good phone.. though it hangs when manual tuning the Radio FM.
I've not got a microsdhc card for it yet.. ok to the above post im assuming it wont take a 4GB KINGSTON microSDHC or it wont take in Kingston as a brand...
I'm going to bite the bullet and try out what Knapjee here tried - sandisk 4gb microsdhc .. though i'd like reassurances.

If data valuable to you it might be worth enquiring at local mobile phone repairers, as add-on to ATF Nitro SD reader enables you to crack (brute force) passwords on Micro SD memory cards without losing the data on the card.

Password 4 Kingston Micro SD ?
Hi there.
1 : Got a 32 GB kIngston MicroSDHC for my N82. (Brand new. Kingston says it ships with no password on it).
2 : When i plug it in the phone, it says "need password for the memorycard".
3 : i have tried Codes 12345 (nokia default) - 0 - 00 - 000 - 0000 - 00000 - 1 - 12 - 123 - 1234 - abc - sim code also.
4 : When i try a format via the phone, the phone freeze .. It also freeze after incorrect password-try.
Enough with random codes .. Any1 know of a solid and tested solution (code or way of formating) ?

Solved!
Go to Solution.Solved it myself (if the format, as rumored, removes the PW !).
Solution : On the phone (no memcard inserted, and plugged in via Usb to PC, in Usb connections, "Pc-Suite and allways ask" is selected).
Goto Usb connections (leave window open and then insert memcard) - (no password menu pops up !), then select "Data-transfer-mode".
Now u will have access to the memcard via pc and computeradministration (storage). From here u can run the format.
The format seems to take a long time tho. Guess the R/RW speeds are low.

Is it possible to download my playlists from I tunes or my I pod to a micro sd card and if so how do I do it?
I will be checking about the File Allocation Tale versions/types that will be supported with this unit.
What's the exact issue that you're experiencing? What's the brand and capacity of the micro SD card & card reader that you're using? It maybe an issue caused by the software compression of the USB stick that the unit cannot read or it needs a password. -

Sorry forgot the disk part.
You may have a dirty lens on the optical reader, you can try a DVD/CD cleang disk (available at most places that sell DVD/CD players, some canned moisture free compressed air, or a buisness card wrapped in a micro fiber cloth to try to wipe the lens clean.

Hi I have a problem with an iPhone 4s this is a weird situation. To try and explain the best way I can took a phone out on contract about 2 years ago from orange now EE that phone developed a fault apple replaced that product at their West Quay store in Southampton But I cannot remember the date. This bit is not a problem.
Back in November a purchased an iPhone 5. So I no longer needed to use the 4s a friend then said they wanted to buy the phone from me. I was reluctant at first as I did not want to sell the phone to her. Then she kept on pestering me to sell the phone. When are you selling the phone? When can I have the phone? She kept asking. In the end as I kept getting calls from her on a daily basis I decided to give in thinking well I see this person quite frequently they won’t let me down. (How wrong could I have been) at one point I tried to put her off by telling her the phone was locked to orange. (Which was true) As she was on Vodafone and it would have not worked at that time. But she just responded ok I will take it to one of these phone unlocking stores. So I thought well if she going to insist and pressure me I may as well let her have it because I consider myself to be too soft.
I then agreed that I would contact orange to get the phone unlocked for her. Told her Orange now EE said it can take up to 21 days to be unlocked and they would e-mail me to unlock the phone I explained this to her and she was fine with it and wanted me to take the phone to her which I agreed(I agreed she could pay me in instalments and said she would give me the first payment of £25 next week.(only payment I have received to this date) eventually (I say eventually as this was one of the reason I did not want to sell). In this time she would call me every other day. Have you received the e-mail I kept trying to explain that the full 21 days where not up.
This is where issues start to get a bit tricky on the 21st day of waiting the phone still was not unlocked. So get a phone call from her is it unlocked yet. I say no not received the e-mail. (My iPhone 5 that I bought which I mentioned earlier was locked to Vodafone as the person I bought it from was a Vodafone customer I called Vodafone to get my phone unlocked. They said they would need to speak to the original owner of the phone. He was in the same room and agreed the phone could be unlocked they said it would take 7 days it actually took a lot less.) The reason I mention the last bit in brackets as she was aware of the situation with my phone because it was about 2-3 before she bought my 4s. Going back to getting the phone unlocked she said I have now received my new Micro sim from Vodafone come and activate it. I said I have not received the e-mail from them to say it’s been unlocked yet. This was fine next day I call Orange to chase it up. They say it could take another 7 days. I then explain this to the person who bought the phone. She said that's fine it may work now. I say it may not and proceeded to explain that if I activate her new sim card and the phone was not unlocked she would not be able to make or receive call and the old sim card would no longer work. She says no come up now activate it.
So I go to her place she gives me the sim with instruction from Vodafone on how to activate the sim card. But I advise one last time the consequences. She says it fine. I asked if she was sure. Yes she replied. So I went ahead. About 20mins later her old phone stopped working but as I guessed and advised the phone had not been unlocked yet. She said oh what am I going to do now I needed that phone to speak to people (at which point I could have screamed) I told her to call Vodafone to see what Vodafone could do. Vodafone say she would need to pick up a new sim for her old phone and activate it. Now I'm sat at her place 5.00 in the evening she says what time does Vodafone close it was 5.30. You can go now she says. I say it 5.00 in the evening by the time I wait for the bus and get through the traffic it will take at least 45 minutes. She says ok. So I contact one of her contacts on my phone as they were supposed to ring her and explained to them what had happened. This was fine. At this point she discusses payments and says I will pay you when the phone is unlocked as it no point me paying you now as I can’t use it. She could use apps and that but could not make, receive phone calls or texts. I say that's fine and I go home
I receive a couple of calls from her home phone over the next few days saying it’s still not working. (By this point I'm really getting a bit stressed) the next call I get is to say her old phone is working again. The waiting day for the phone had been and the phone was still not unlocked (I am now starting to get annoyed with my network provider) they say it not been put through yet. We will have to submit it again it will take 30 days. I say it was 21 last time. They say yes 21 working days we don't include weekends and as it’s now Christmas period we don't include Christmas day or Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. This would now take us to 14th January. I again explain to the person buying the phone. I even gave them the option to change their mind over the phone. No I still want the phone. Ok no problem.
I do not here from her over the Christmas period. I then get a call a couple of days into the New Year from her. I have just taken the phone in to one of these shops which do phone unlocking they say they can’t unlock this phone and the phone is faulty. I explain to her that when I gave her the phone the phone was working and she tested it fully with my Orange EE sim she agreed that it was working. (The only problem with the phone at this stage it was locked to orange). She clearly said to me over the phone the phone was working when I gave it to her I also explained the phone was tested at the genius bar a day before I gave it to her. I again gave her the option to back out at this point but she says no I still want the phone.
On the 14th January I receive a call of course this is the day the phone is now due to be unlocked. I have still not received the e-mail she says call orange. So call orange. Orange now says sorry busy Christmas it will be done by 21 January. Again I explain what orange say. (I would like to say at this point I do have a lot of sympathy for the person buying the phone as they were just being told different dates all the time).
22nd January arrives still no unlock. Call Orange again she looks into it a bit further and says you been waiting a long time I wall mail them again now marking it as urgent. She even proceeded to explain that if I fill out a form online as well it may speeds thing up. So I also sent the e-mail to them.
The next day on the 23rd I get an e-mail saying it been unlocked. (Thankfully I thought this is all over now. No this is where it gets worse in my opinion) She says I no longer have a sim can you get me one. I explained that I would try and get one from Vodafone and bring it round she said when she was hinting at me doing it straight away So I did I went to Vodafone explained to them the situation they gave me a micro sim but could not activate it. Obviously because of data protection. So I took it to her home and activated it online. (I would also like to add here I feel this part of me getting the sim I did not have to do and done so out the goodness of my heart) I explained it can take up to 24hrs to activate but she will still be able to use her old sim in her old phone while she is waiting. With it being so quick last time to switch the Sims I decided to wait a while 2hrs had passed. She says call Vodafone I say they will just tell you to wait the 24hrs. No call them now. So called Vodafone and they said exactly that wait 24hrs. They said if it not activated within that time she would need to call them back or go to local Vodafone store.
While I was waiting I was having a look at the phone and the conversation came up about the time she took it into the phone unlocking shop. I pressed for more information on what they meant by the phone was not working She says something to do with the speaker I did some testing with the speaker using Siri as it could not make or receive a call at this time. I could not hear it properly at the time as she had the radio on and put it down to that. I did however mention the fact that she had told me she lets her grandson play with her phones. So I suggested he may have dropped at. She just gave me a blank look and she said. They say it had nail varnish on. Now I don't want to excuse anyone but sitting next to her was a bottle of nail varnish and also I noticed she had marked her kindle with nail varnish. The point being here she still decided she wanted the phone
The next day on the Friday 24th January when the 24hrs where up she called me the Sim still not active. I explained she would need to call Vodafone or go in to Vodafone. She says no I don't want the phone anymore give me my £25 back and you can have the phone back. At this point I have said no and explained that she had many opportunities to give me the phone back and for me to pay her the £25 back. I explained that I would have lost that in value now and the fact she had told me the phone is now faulty. I explained I would not be able to sell the phone now. I did try to compromise later buy suggesting if I can test the phone and it was in the condition it was in when I sold it I would reluctantly give her the money back. She chose not to take this option.
I had not heard from here for a while but I had seen her out about. On the 2 February I had seen her said Hello but did not say anything else at that time as it was not the time or place. I did later try to contact her by text the same day. No reply. Waited a few hours decided to call her. There was no answer decided to wait a few more hours to see if she would call me back. There was no call back. So I decided I would send an e-mail allowing 7 days for her to respond. (I would like to say at this point I was doing some research online and was looking at ways I could recover the debt. I came across a debt recovery firm who operated a no win no fee basis I spoke to someone there and they said they would try to get the money I was owed for the phone and they were able to help I left it there at that point). I wanted to give her time to answer. This did not happen
The 7 days have now passed and I was doing work for a friend. This person knows the both of us and actually said he needed to do something at her place will I help him. I did not want to go in to detail and just said I don't think I can make it. He then asked is this because of the phone you sold her as she as told me about it. So I decided to tell him what had happened. He also told me she said was not going to pay
I decided the last chance to get the money was to go ahead with debt recovery. A week or so later I had a phone call from the friend I mentioned above. That she had been in contact with the Vicar. (I am a Christian and do attend church but this is not the issue) I explained to my friend I did not tell anyone from church as it was not a church matter. He agreed. However he wanted me to talk to the vicar. Who I would be seeing that evening. He also said that she would be prepared to pay if I could get the phone working. I agreed to give it ago
I seen the vicar that evening and explained what had happened which was quite difficult as he has now knowledge of phones. (His words) We discussed that he would pick the phone up take it too is place the vicarage and I would be able to activate and view the phone at a convenient time.
I did not hear from my friend or the vicar for a just over a week then on the 2nd March I get a call from my friend to say can you make 11.00 Monday. I explain I can’t I have a meeting to go to at 10.50. On 3rd after the meeting I get a call from my friend again can you make 2.00? I say yes.
When I get to the vicarage I was given the phone, USB lead and a Vodafone sim card I explained to the vicar that that I received an e-mail a few weeks before he contacted me from the debt recovery team that she said she had tried 4 different sim cards and none of them worked. So he asked what I would need to do I said test a sim card that works in another iPhone 4s in this phone to see if this phone is reading the sim card and the vicar said he did not understand. So I said I would still need Internet access to register the sim. The vicar says do what you got to do I will see you tomorrow. That's fine of I go
I go to see my sister she has a 4s with a working sim she gives me the sim I put in the phone and it works at this point I notice there is a passcode so cannot get into the phone I sent a her a text which I did not want to do but needed the pass code to check if other parts where working. She sent me the code by text I then called my sisters number and did not hear it ring I checked to make sure the vibrate switch was in it correct position and it was I turned the volume up and tried again it was very quiet. This time I asked my sister to answer the call to see if you could have a conversation ok. She could hear me when I spoke from my phone but I could not hear her when she spoke. I came to the conclusion it was a speaker and microphone problem to confirm this I booked it in at the genius bar.
When I got to apple I explained the problem and they done a test on the phone they confirmed it was the speaker and the mic. I asked how much it was going to cost to put right he said you would need to replace the handset £159. Now I was selling the phone for less than that. I asked apple a question and they mentioned something about trade in and they said they would still trade it in even in that condition
But at this point they said something about disabling the find my iPhone password. Which of course the person who was buying the phone set up and I don't know it and they are now not able to help.
Anyway I went to see the vicar on the 4th March explain the situation have a long chat basically telling him what it going to cost to put right and said I am sure she not going to pay it or me. So I will put it down as a mistake and cut my losses. He then says what about her £25 pound I said she broke the phone. He then said it was my word against hers and I would need to prove it. I guess he is wright in a way. I went on to explain that actually it was not a church matter and you have played right into her hands getting involved(it was at this point I had realised the vicar was actually taking her side). He told me to phone her which I was happy to do and tell her the phone is faulty. But I said I will not give the £25 back. What he said next shocked me is said I will give the £25 I said what from the church No from my pocket. I said that's not your place to do that. He said it’s what I will do though. So I said well if she getting the money back can I have the password to unlock the phone from iCloud. He says no. Now feeling backed into a corner. I say what If I give her the £25 can you ask for the password he again says no. So I say this is win win situation for her then for her then. He says I am trying to help both of you.
So she is one way or another going to get her £25 I am not going to be able to unlock the phone from iCloud I don’t see how he’s helping me by undermining me. In fact after this I have lost complete trust in the vicar and my faith in religion (but this is not about religion). Putting aside that the phone as a broken mic and speaker there are still things you can do like play apps you can still make a call using the apple pod earphones not ideal but would make a spare back up phone. But I can’t even do that now as the phone is asking to be activated and it needs there @icloud.com username and password. Which it seem likely I am not going to get
I know I have gone in to a lot more detail then I needed here but I am posting now in the hope someone might be able to help me

Kevin WilliamsSo the bottom line is, you've run into Activation Lock. You have no options other than to get those original credentials. (I have to admit I did not read your too-long story) You don't need his password, he just needs to log into icloud.com with his credentials and remove the device in question from Find My iPhone.

ATV2 Not showing in iTunes, and bricked, showing micro usb and iTunes logos
Hey all,
I was given an ATV2 for christmas a few weeks early, purchased new from Big W (Australia). I happily plugged it in on the 14th or 15th December (I can't quite remember, but I did find out later itunes match went live to a bunch of countries that day, which is why my itunes account crashed). I plugged it in, with the HDMI cable I purchased from australian apple store online, and the power cable. I connected happily to my home network, and started scrolling through the features. I came to a point in setup where it asked for my itunes ID and password. I entered these and it told me it couldn't recognise the apple ID or password.
I tried again, same. I checked my mac to see if it was iTunes or the ATV2 that had a problem... tried to log in, and it said the same error msg. Same on my iPhone and iPad. So I knew itunes was down, and later found out it crashed internationally for some people as itunes match went live.
Unfortunately for me, as I got that first error msg, I aborted trying to set up. I then had a pop up on the ATV2 asking me to update the software (I run the latest software on my mac, ipod, ipad, and have latest itunes by the way), I can't remember which version it had, but it asked me to update, and not knowing the login issue was accross platforms, I tried to log in again and update, hoping it was more a software issue. It seemed to begin updating then pop up with the same itunes error that it couldn't recognise the apple ID or password. At this point the device suddenly showed the micro USB to itunes logo and it became apparent it wanted me to plug into itunes for some R&R. Of course I didn't have a micro usb cable, and had to wait a week or so to get one since I live in the country with no tech shops around. It arrived and I tested it on my itrip as a charging cable. It charges my iphone nicely while plugged into the griffin itrip. So the cable works. I plugged the ATV2 into my imac (latest OSX 10.7.2 and latest itunes 10.5.2) and it doesn't come up in itunes at all. I tried a different USB port in the back of the computer as opposed to the keyboard. No luck. I tried plugging in the power cord as well, no luck. I tried a reset via ATV2 remote holiding the menu and down buttons until the LED light flashes super super fast (as opposed to its current fast flashing). No luck.
How do I get this thing to show up in itunes? Or how can I manually reboot it if it won't show? I live nowhere near a genius bar or even the shop where my family member purchased it, and they probably lost the reciept by now anyway so I doubt I could exchange.
Very dissapointed in Apple for not including HDMI cord or micro usb with the product, not to mention it was Apple's fault itunes crashed right as I was setting up. I'm a huge Apple fan but this is so annoying.
I have read something about router permissions and so on being a possible cause, is this likely? My ipad, iphone and mac never took issue with our wireless network or router previously, but it was setup a year ago and I have no idea what the settings are exactly. We also have two other imac's and a ibook connecting occasionally at home (big family) and no issues there.
I have home sharing on, I did everything the manual said. HELP!Thanks everyone.
Alley_Cat I tried a new micro usb, as a last ditch effort before giving up entirely... SUCCESS! How strange the other micro usb charges my iphone via griffin iTrip perfectly, but wouldn't work with apple TV. Perhaps there are different kinds? Even more bizarre than Apple not including it in the box, is that they don't even SELL micro USB's on the Apple australian online store (or at least they didn't when I checked a week ago). Now that is stupid.
Anyway i'm mid-restore and software update now, fingers crossed!
Also on the HDMI cable inclusion/not inclusion debate... is it actually possible to use the Apple TV for any reason without one? Because my point is more that there is no way to do anything with the thing, without the cable. Printers that don't include usb connections usually are able to connect to your computer and network wirelessly, therefore perform their intended function without the cable. My point is simply if a device is meant to do something, you buy it expecting to do that thing. I'm lucky I had googled it and knew about the HDMI not being included, but even I missed the micro USB inclusion. At the very least this should be clearly marked on the exterior packaging so you know in store, you have to buy the device + HDMI + micro USB. Isn't Apple all about making 'things just work'? -
Mail in yahoo now is in micro print not in explorer how do I get back to regular size print?
My print size in yahoo mail is in micro print as of today. Can't even it make out the words using a magnifying glass. I have had no problems until today using Firefox to open my email account in yahoo. I tried explorer and everything is normal. I started my computer twice; scanned with avg , add-aware, c cleaner etc. Still can't get regular print and picture sizes. What do I do to get back to normal print size?
Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Unlock the Preference Panel and uncheck ☐ Disable automatic login.
Also note that you will need be in your Admin. Account, plus use your system password to unlock both the preferences panel and disable automatic login. -
Hi.
I've got Apacer 1 Gb micro SD card. Everything was working fine. But after I renewed the software of my Nokia E90, the micro SD cannot be found by PC with USB adapter. I thought the card crashed or smthng. So I bought a SanDisk 4Gb card. Firstly everything OK. After that I put this card to E90 card slot. Made some copyings. Back to USB adapter and again not working. My PC shows no card present in the adaptor.
Does anybody face the same problem?
Any solution for that?

I was facing the same issue
Got my card replaced several times and tried several times to hard-reset also but could not have this fixed until ... few hours ago
When I hardReset my phone, I setup the "remote lock by SMS feature" on the phone - which allows me to lock rapidly the phone if lost or whatever
Once done I test the feature (send myself an SMS and make sure it's properly setup)
Once locked, I just push the "unlock" button, enter my code and that's it
But did not pay attention to the message "Phone and Card locked"
So I went to "Memory" app on the phone and choosed "Option/remove password"
then entered the lockCode sent over SMS
And ... wouaaaahhhh I got my 8Gb back available via my standard diskReader
issue solved now

is not provided, the package opens without the sensitive data and the current user must provide new values for sensitive data. If the user tries to execute the package without providing the password, package execution fails.
So in order to resolve this issue, we should provide the password when executing the package. When you execute a package with this setting using DTEXEC, you can specify the password on the command line using the /Decrypt password command line argument.

Password required when deleting file
I am a new mac user and transfered files from my PC. I tried to delete a file and a popup window requires a password. I type the password (it does not tell me it is wrong, unless it is) and I hear a sound, but the file is not deleted. Help!
I think I did this right. Went to terminal; changed directory by typing
cd documents/favorites/
then typed ls and this is what I got:

Trend Micro Login error on System reports
I'm getting a login failed screeen from Trend Micro when the system report tries to load What password is the system looking for ?

then you exit network magic and go through and open windows task manager end services on NM services end task on nmctxth
then restart Network Magic and redo the first part I discribed only now enable by clicking on the box and entering an e-mail address
don't forget to confirm by checking your e-mail for the confirmation letter
then in 24hrs it'll be back up.
If that all don't work it's a current server issue and will be resolved by Monday
