Microphone records anything but not voices

Hi,
Okay so here's my problem.
I have a MacBook Air 11'' and the built in mic has always been great.
But now it seems to 'hear' everything, it's very sensitive anyway, but NOT VOICES. I wanted to record a text while reading and it doesn't hear voices, or hear them so low even with the volume up to 100% you can barely hear a whisper, no matter how close I am to the mic or how loud I speak.
Anybody has an idea ?

Condition record exist but not set in SO

Hi SDN Team,
I have a problem. Where in the sales order for the Discount condition type condition record where already exist in diffferent validity period.
EG
ZAJ1 discount condition type - with the same key combination with different valididity period
EG:
ZAJ1 - 27.01.2009 to 15.02.2009
ZAJ1 - 16-02-2009 to 15-03-2009
The reason is not set for the ZAJ1 condition in the Sales Order is due to the sales order was created before the pricing condition record validity datet. Sales order where created on 11.02.2009. But the condition record where valid from 16.02.2009 that is the reason the condition record was not set in the sales order.
Based on this explanation user agreed and the call was closed.
I have also explained Where ZAJ1 has condition record. but which is not set in the document. if pricing was carried out again it will set the condition for the item.
But now again the call was reopened stating that -
At the time of creating the sales order the ZAJ1Condition record exist in the period 27-01-2009 to 15-02-2009. now the primary rebate should be used by the system. Unfortunately it did not.
Based on the reopend call - i have further investigated the issue but i could not find the root cause.
Based on this when i checked the previous order where the ZAJ1 condition was well picked up with the validity period 27-01-2009 to 15-02-2009, what might be the reason the condition type was not picked up in the sales order?
Can you please let me know with your expertise in solving this issue.

1)Requirement is set with 2 (itme with pricing). and calculation type is assigned with own calculation type.

This message tells you that the condition record exists, but has not been set in the document. If pricing was carried out again for the document item, then the condition would be set.
There are different reasons for this:
The condition was deleted manually in the item condition screen.
The condition record was created later. Please note that order processing and pricing have buffer mechanisms. This means that a newly added condition record might only be found after order processing has been left completely and then started again.
If the condition type is used for subsequent settlement (rebate), there may be subsequent updating of business volume (the agreement is is created retrospectively). The document conditions do not contain the condition record, as the condition record was not created when pricing was carried out. Updating of business volume is carried out using special functions for subsequent settlement.
When an item was added, the condition record was accessed with key fields other than change time. This could lead to different results in the requirements check at the time of adding and the change time. This can occur when modifications are made.
In billing (or when copying orders): Certain condition types were not determined in the source document (this is usually controlled by the pricing requirements). When creating the document, the document flow (TVCPF,TVCPA) is processed using a pricing type that does not redetermine these condition types, although they are supposed to be called via the requirements.

MIDI Setup - I can record MIDI but not hear it.

I have reviewed other posts on the site. No luck getting this going yet. I can record MIDI but can't hear the sound on Playback.
Here are some pics showing my setup. I am using a Roland XP 60 through a Midisport 2X2.

I can see the data was recorded from the keyboard but am not getting any sound when I play back.
This is probably simple but I am not finding the answer here. Any help is appreciated!!!

I am trying to play the Roland sounds. I was able to use the keyboard as a controller using the Quicktime Template which was pretty cool but I want to access any of the Roland sounds.
Are you saying that I should only run the keyboard in and not have a MIDI out connection?

Records syndicated but not in outbound folder

HI MDM Guru's,
I have a critical issue in our production system. We have modified 2 records in our data manager by running mdis (automatic import), these records has been flown to syndicator (as i could see these records greyed out & not in destination tab). Now, the major problem is i don't find these records in our outbound ready folder as of which our back end ERP system could not be updated.
when i do the modification process manually, then i could see these reocrds in outbound folder.
What could be the reasons? could it be that our mdss is not working properly or any other ......i don't know.
Could you please guide me to fix it ASAP.

Thanks for your updates.
We find some modified records missing in file prodcued in the outbound ready folder.
We found this issue on later Date after records were modified.
These Modified records which you are finding missing in the outbound folder,are they greyed out in MDM syndicator.
We had an update of these records on later dates after records were modified in Data Manager. Now , these records are greyed out and we find the modification of records in syndicator.
If so then check the values of these records for the field which it has got updated as per the incoming source file.
+ Records checked & found modified+.
If you are finding the field value changed to the new value as per the source file,then this record must not be greyed out but enabled for syndication.and if the records field value is still showing the old value,then it means it has not updated to the new value from the source file and so will rightly be supressed as per the property adn so greyed out.As only modified records will get syndiacted unchanged records will be suppressed by the property(Suppress unchanged records).
+ We use mdss for syndicating records. Process type - Automatic & Process Interval -continoues. So when ever there is change of values in Data Manager, then records are automatically syndicated to outbound folder, because of which all the records in the object pane of syndicator will be in grey color, after auto syndication.+
Try the following
Firstly check your import map's Import action it should have Create for new records and Update all mapped fields for existing records ,if this is not teh case then the new values coming from the source will not get updated in data manager.
Its checked & we maintain same while Importing Records.
Check you processing interval in the mdss.ini file. check by keeping a value of say 20 sec and then monitor the process slowly.
+ Processing interval in our mdss.ini file - 30+
Try importing a small set of records through the import server say 5 records with certain field values modified and then check in the data manager if the changes are imported,if so then those records must not show grey in the syndicator.
+ We use mdis to import data & mdss to syndicate data, when data is syndicated automatically , according to my understanding records in the syndicator object plane will be in grey color+.
*Records shown grey in the syndicator clearly indicates that they are being suppressed and will not go out
Make sure you have enabled key mapping if you are importing from remote system and map teh unique field from source to the remote key field in the destination*.
We have maintain Key Mapping = Yes.
Still i have a problem while syndicating Records.
Is the any way to find out that Number of records values created or modified in Data Manger = Number of records syndicated from syndicator.*
Does syndicator produce any kind of logs or any configuration/settings shuld be activated??

When I speak into my mic I can record it but not hear it as I'm speaking?

As most of you are pretty **** good with Logic I would be most indebted to anybody that can help me out. I am a serious and full time composer that uses and loves Logic , now for about 6 - 7 years. I am however very bad technically. A college that owes me lots of money changed a setting and has disappeared therefore I can't ask him how to put it back. When my mic is plugged in, via Motu 828, logic hears it and I can record it but I can't hear it (post fader) through logic so I can't hear the effects of the plug-ins in real time. WHAT DO I DO. I will do my best to help someone if they can help me! Thank you very much.

Ipod recording background sound but not voices

whenever i record a video,only the background noises are played while my voice or anyones voice is very very low and i just upgraded to IOS 5.01 and it didnt fix the problem i opened voice memos and started tapping on the mic and the needle moved up while i screamed and it didnt move up at all. please help

No,I don't have it blocked you any sort of thing. But it once got wet 2 weeks ago and since then it wont record my voice..its weird because it can record any background noises like hitting the floor,tapping on the microphone ( voice memo) but it wont record any voice

Thank you Kelly, I've resolved this issue using your advice. Unfortunately I'm still experiencing grief trying to export - a 40 meg KN file is a 600 meg movie AND the audio stops mid way every screen. AND the image quality is poor.. it's frustrating as this is a client deliverable, is late, and now must be rebuilt in PowerPoint - it won't be as pretty but it will work that way. Thank you for your help.

Urgent! IDocs in the BW but not in PSA

I have a situation where,
I see the IDocs in the BW inbox with status 53. But the extraction errored out with 90 records receieved but not updtaed. I don't see them either in PSA.
How do I process this delta.

I am still confused.
1.deleting the request from the data target and scheduling it again from the infopackage is not working. It still complains that the last delta is incorrect.
2.is it good to turn the status green in the monitor after deleting the request. Am I not sending a wrong signal that I received the last request and scheduling the next one. Won't I loose the records from the previuos requests?

Check the below configuration steps:
1.    Define Withholding Tax key (206C)
2.    Define Withholding Tax type
3.    Create the access sequence for withholding for TCS in SD (Copy the existing access sequence J1AW and create the new access sequence)
4.    Create condition types corresponding to Tax collected at Source in SD
5.    Assign withholding tax types to SD condition types
6.    Define withholding tax codes
7.    Assign GL accounts for withholding tax types
8.    Add TCS conditions in pricing procedure (assign TCS conditions in pricing procedure as a statistical conditions)
9. We will need to define a new condition type and add this to the pricing procedure to post to the FI. This condition type will be manual and can be manually filled at the time of creation of sales order. This can also be copied from the statistical TCS condition types in the pricing procedure

We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

I have read your post on how the microphone on your notebook is enabled, but will not record any audio on Skype. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Are you able to record audio using a different program on your computer? Were you able to record audio from Skype in the past?
In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on Resolving microphone problems (Windows 8). This should help enable the audio-in when using the microphone.
Additionally, I also suggest following this resource on Microphone Troubleshooter to ensure that your Skype software is communicating the audio being transmitted to your audio-in device.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

I could record at 192kHz in AA 1.5, but not in AA 3. Help?

I really hope I'm in the right section and also am not missing the answer in another post.
Anyways, I have a SB Audigy 2 Platinum soundcard that's serviced me great for 4 years. I used to record everything, vocals, DVD sound, etc. in 192kHz/32 bit (float) while using AA 1.5, and then converted to whatever format I needed later.
Needing to reformat seemed like a good excuse as any to upgrade to AA 3. But now when I want to record anything, I get a "will only go as high as your hardware sampling rate" message, regardless of the selected input. The SB card boasts of 24-bit/192kHz stereo playback and 96kHz recording. I'm not asking the sound card to record anything (it actually comes with it's own stream recorder and wav editor that I don't use), just "play" the DVD or my microphone at 192kHz, and AA should be down to record it that way.
That's what I imagine AA 1.5 was doing. In fact, I reinstalled 1.5 and it is politely complying with my tyrannical demands to record from Backyardigans DVDs at an unreasonable 192kHz.
Am I missing something?

Let's see, I installed a dual-boot system so I'm in the fortuitous position of having installed the included drivers from the CD on the serious serious "DAW" OS, and I used Driver Detective to find me the supposedly updated-est drivers on the "general" OS. Same symptoms on both. On the device manager, the general OS 'Creative SB Audigy' tab actually has WDM in parenthesis which I don't remember pre-reformat. I have to admit, I don't know what WDM means.
I recall that years ago, after installing the soundcard included copy of Steinberg - Cubasis VST 4.0 Creative Edition + Wavelab Lite 2.0 (breath), I noticed an ASIO thing in the programs list. The SB box also says in big letters that it supports ASIO (16-bit/48kHz). 2nd admission of ignorance: I don't know what ASIO means either and how it affects anything, even after reading about it on Wikipedia.
I never used Cubasis or Soundforge. I cut my teeth on Cool Edit and have followed it around through AA 1.5 while my beautiful Yamaha MD8 sits dusty on the shelf.
I will install Cubasis and see if the installation of ASIO changes anything.

As far as I can see, it's random. Everything. Nothing makes any sense!
A the moment, the iPhone is playing music with the SIM card, but without anything plugged into it, but it's occasionally fading in and out.
Oh, and I doubt this is related, but about two months ago the iPhone failed to show that the battery was draining - it was stuck at 100%. This went on for a few days, it wouldn't even warn me at the 20% mark, it would just shut off. This happened for at least three full charges - I remember at one point it suddenly started working again at about the 70% mark, I'm not sure if it was alright after that or if it went glitchy on the next charge... but in any case, the problem mysteriously never reappeared after those few days.

Is it actually possible to record from a hi-spec and expensive webcam using Leopard on my Mac, to record video onto your hard drive WITHOUT having to subscribe to iChat and sodding well pay through the nose again for something that is relatively simple using the new gadget hardware I've just bought? It's great to chat with my relatives in the states, but sometimes I would like to just record some of the touching moments I have with these relatives whom I may never see again alive? Not too much to ask is it? My webcam is a Logitech Quick Cam Pro 9000. Plug and play and it's amazing! But I would just like to record some moments of our video conversations. There must be some plug-in or software that is available somewhere without costing an arm and a leg...

Other than sodding well meeting iChat 4 System Requirements, there is no cost for a Leopard user to "subscribe" to iChat.
You can use a FREE @mac.com name, a FREE AIM name, or some of each. You do NOT need to add ANY other software or pay for ANYTHING. Merely register as many free names as you need and use them with the iChat that comes with your Leopard Mac OS X.

If I did not provide the info you need here, please let us know the specifics of *_what you want to do_* other than what has already been offered. Someone will likely be able to give you specific suggestions once we have a clearer understanding of your requirements.

and have asked for some other iChat users to try to help you. Other than checking settings or restarting your system, I am out of ideas there if you can hear the audio during a chat but cannot record it.
